Customer master not extended to sales area
Hi experts,
We are in a global SAP platform. We have 4 separate company codes.
1000 - Japan
2000 - India
3000 - Europe
Customer masters are created for each of their company codes & extended to their respective sales area.
As we are doing intercompany sales, when i create sales order using sales org India to Japan customer, my problem is that when i enter Japan customer code it says "customer xxx do not exists in india sales area'.
How do I extend the sales area for Japan customer code to India sales area? Then it says customer does not exists in India company code.
Please help. Thanks,
Regards,
PriDear Priya,
You mentioned that you are doing inter company sales.
Intercompany sales means you are sending the goods to the Japan company from there they will sell the goods to their customer. In this scenerio you need to create japan company as internel customer under India sales area then you need to the slaes with that customer.
For these settings you go through this IMG path
SPRO>IMG>Sales and distribution>Billing>Intercompany billing.
For more details please go through this SAP help link
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/dd/5614cd545a11d1a7020000e829fd11/frameset.htm
Second one is if you want to sell the goods directly to Japan customer from India then you have to extend that existing customer master to the Indian sales area.
Go to XD01 enter account group, customer number, sales area(India) and company code(India) & give Japan customer ,company code and sales area as refernce then execute.
I hope this will help you,

Can i use same customer master record in different sales area
dear sir,
i have created a record of customer master - RAM in sold to party account group using sales area - (I).
(i.e,) XYZ ( sales org ) - A (dis channel ) - XX ( division)
now i have created another record of customer master - DAVID in sold to party acc group using sales area - (II).
(i.e) XYZ (sales org) - A (dis channel ) - YY ( division ).
when i am trying to change SH party function of "RAM" with "DAVID" its throwing an error message that DAVID is not created in Sales Area - (I).
please let me know how to resolve this
regards
vivekHi,
There are two solution to control this.
1) Extend customers in respective sales area. i.e.. DAVID in XYZ-A-XX or RAM in XYZ-A-YY.
2) Define reference sales organisation, channel and division and assign to respective.
EX.
Define sales org. "0000" and assign to all sales orgs.
Define channel "00" and assign to all channels.
Define division "00" and assign to all divisions.
Now create customer masters only in sales area 0000-00-00 and you can use this customer anywhere for any sales area (at transactional level). This is one time activity and will save so much time in creating(or extending) master records in different sales area.

Customer not maintained in sales area
when i create sales order system is throwing a error message
like
customer not maintained in sales area....
in va01, after entering sold to party i am getting this error....
what should be configuration setting for setting this right.... kindly adviseHello,
As told by Venkat, you are required to maintain the Sales Area data.
By seeing the error there is something that you are missing in Configuration.
Go to XD02 and extend your customer. You only must have created two segments. Extend the customer to sales are segment.
Thanks,

Customer not extended to sales area
Hi experts,
Even though I have extended a particular customer to the given sales area, division and distribution channel, when I run the program I still get the error saying "Customer not extended to sales area" . What could be the reason for this? I am a ABAPER. I am new to SD transactions.I have checked in xd02. the customer has been extended. Where else should I check?
Please explain in detail
Regards
kalyanHI,
Which program are yout trying to run?
How did you extend the customer? If through XD01 then try going into XD02/XD03 and enter customer and click on customer sales areas. You should be able to see the sales area that you have extended the customer into !

Ship-to Party is not maintained in sales area
Hi,
While creating a sales order for a company code and if we give a different ship-to party, which is not belongs to that sales area, I'm getting a message "Ship-to Part XXX is not maintained in sales area abc xxxx yy zz".
When I tried to add one more partner at header level, say "Mark for customer", and give the different customer number, the error is not coming.
Can anyone tell whether this check will be done only for standard partners like Sold-to, Ship-to etc? and not for custom partners?

If BP is created with sales area, it doesn't reach R/3
Hi,
In our CRM 5.0 system, if we create a BP only with general information (name, address etc.), it reaches R/3 fine. But if I create a BP with general information & sales area info at the same time & then save it, problems...
An entry is created in SMW01 with queue name SEE_TABLE_SMW3_BDOCQ. This entry has two rows of data. One INSERT entry for creating BP general info, and one UPDATE entry for sales area data. I can see the update entry as first row.
I think what is happening is, when this bdoc is processed, first UPDATE entry is processed. Unfortunately since the customer is not created in R/3 by that time, bdoc gets an error "Business partner 0001234567 does not exist as customer, change not possible".
And bdoc is not processed, BP doesn't go to R/3.
Any idea how can this be corrected?
Regards,
KaushalDid you check the mandatory fields on R/3 with respect to sales area data? As a quick test make all R/3 sales area fields for that account group as optional and try to upload

Here system is considering distribution chan 40 & division 30
Go to VOR1 and maintain like as
Sales ogz - Distribution channel - Distribution for Condition - Distribution chn for CUST/MATERIAL
6000 - 40 - 40 - 00
Then in VOR2

Ship to party not assigned to sales area
Hi everybody
When I am creating sales order for a customer in the sales area into which it's CMR is maintained eg. 1000, 10 , 00. I get an error message ' ship to party...is not assigned to sales area 1000, 10, 01.'' Here SP is also SH.
I checked the common Distribution Channel & common Division Master Data & the ref dc & ref dv are properly maintained. I don't know from where system is taking division 01.Hi,
Please check VOV8(Sales documet type control). Here in the document type which you are using, check if Item condition field is marked. If it is marked then system is checking the division of the material you are using.
Extend the customer to 1000/10/01 and then try creating the order.
Reward points if useful

Ship-to party not defined for sales area
Hi all,
I am really confused while creating a sales order, I need your help.
My sales org. - 1083, distribution channel - CY, Division - CW.
When I enter va01, in the initial screen I enter the above details. Then it goes to the create sales order screen where I enter my customer details.
After that, I enter my material number and quantity, it is giving me an error ship-to-party not defined for sales area 1084 CY and ZO ( other division) instead of 1084 CY and CW.
Where did I mess up ?
Thanks,
-ChandruHi,
Go to SPRO - SD - BASIC FUNCTIONS - PARTNER DETERMINATION Just check whther your partner function (SH) is assigned to your account group and also exists in the partner determination procedure.
Just try and maintain it there against your account group and against your sales document type in VOV8.
Also open your customer master for which you are trying to create this sales order. Just check whther in the partners tab , SH is shown? You can either use transaction BP or XD03.
Let me know, reward points if helpful.
