Customer master feilds

Hi Gurus,
Is there somewhere in the customer master in core R3 that we can store the longitude and latitude values for the address of a customer?
If it is not standard what options to I have?
Any suggestions will be rewarded.

   Here is my input as per my knowledge,
1.First it is not a control data, so that you can give this simply in either street no or even in search item.You no need a separate field for that.
2. Is there any specific reason that you need it? Because address details are descriptive in nature.
3.If it is like you want to locate the vendor by this field then its unneccesary since you hv lot of other options.
  Still if you need it, contact your ABAPer. He can simply do it through BADI provided give him the customer related table KNA1 where the field has to be created.

    Hi,
    Those fields may be suppressed in the customer master field layout. This functionality is governed by the account grps. Check the accnt grps you will surely find sumthing.

  • Not able to create customer master data with country code US

    Hey All,
    I am not able to create customer master data in the Transaction Code XD01/FD01 with the country code as US.
    The error message for the same is NO JURISDICTION CODE COULD BE DETERMINED. I have checked the tax code settings but could not locate the problem.

    Hey all,
    I have checked the field in the account group(OBD2) but its in optional status
    and also checked the country settings for US in the transaction code OY17 still the same error message, but when i tried checking the settings for a differnt company code's customer data base i can see that there is a number mentioned in the address tab under tax jurisdiction feild (beside time zone) which is not populating for this company code.
    so, do anyone know where exaclty we mention this number so that it populates in that field of address.

  • Vendor Master and Customer Master for FI AP/AR

    hi FICO Gurus,
    I am Sapna here and I have questions regarding the Mandatory fields for Vendor Master and Customer Master which would be mandatory for Running FI AP and AR. I am basically a MM Consultant but I have been asked to perform this role of Master Data at my current client.
    I am quite familiar with the fact that these feilds are based on the needs of the bussiness and can be configured in IMG as required/optional or suppressed or diaplsy only.
    What I am looking is
    1.  Are there any fileds list which is <b>Mandatory</b> for running FI AP/AR in global financial implemntation.
    2. Also from FI Perspective what is <b>Good to have/Recommended fields</b> in Vendor Master and Cusotmer Master for Global Finacial implemtation.
    Your help is greatly appreciated. Please point me in right direction...

    OK all implementations are different so the client should have some imput here.
    However you need to make sure certain address details are mandatory such as name, post code street and city.
    You may always want an e mail address or phone number.
    All AR & AP customer/ Vendors will need a recon account, so it is important there is one set up, but you also need to make sure in change mode this cannot be changed.
    For Vendors you will require some kind of bank details and payment method.
    For Customers if Dunning is being used you may need the Dunning Procedure and Accounting Clerk.
    Also for a Customer there is the Sales Org view, and it is best to contact the SD consultant to see which fields are required here. The tax code, payment terms are normally mandatory.
    For the Purchasing Org, I guess you would know about this...

  • Sort Key in G/L Acounts and Customer MAster Records.

    Dear SAP Guru's,
    What is the specific use of the Sort Key?How will this effect the Line item entry in FBL5N?
    In our Company The G/L Accounts the sort key is maintained As 000  Allocation Number.
    _Also In Customer Master-->Company Code Data
    The Feild sort key : It is maintained "000" Allocation Number _
    If I change the sort key Now after 1 year of several records updated Will the System sort according to the changed sort key?
    I want the sort key to be document Number Now after a year will the previous records be shown with the immediate effect.

    Sort key field is also known as Allocation field.
    The u201Callocation fieldu201D is populated automatically onto line items, during document entry, based on the default sort indicator set in the master record.
    When you display or change line items, they are displayed in a standard sort sequence as per sort key defined in master records.
    Sort key is defined in G/L master, Vendor master and Customer master. The key defined here is taken as the default key by the system when you want to display the line items pertaining to that account.
    The sort key determines what is populated in the allocation field upon posting.
    Changing the sort key will only change future postings not already existing line items.

  • Credit control field not visible in customer master after checking Spro

    Hello Gurus,
    I have configured Automatic Credit Control In IMG.
    I have checked all the necessary spets required for the avtivation of Automatic Credit Control.
    But I am facing in problem and will appreciate all your help for this problem.
    In Customer master> Sales area data> Billing Document--> delivery and payment terms. Within delivery and payment terms the feild for credit control area is not visible.
    I have checked in spro>financial accounting> Ac rec & Ac payable>customer account>master data>preparation for creating customer master> define account groups with screen laypouts (customers).
    Within Define account groups with screen laypouts (customers)>account group 001(soldtoparty)details>field status>sales data>billing-->Hedging and credit contr. area I have tried it with optional as well as reuired entry and still the credit control field is not visible in customer master.
    Pls provide me the steps as well as solutions for the problem.

                       Is there any procedure that after the customer is INVOICED or after the completion of billing the customer master data field needs to be updated.

    For the above question, is it possible to create a extra feild in customer sales tab.
    sothat whenever the invoice is saved for bill to party,(the extra feild is for either sold tp party or bill tp party) that feild to going to update automatically.
    Is it possible to get trasaction data to be displayed in customer master data, like the one in material master data, where stock valuation is going to update in accounting 1 veiw.

  • Customer Master Change - Dunning Procedure

    Hi Friends,
    We have the customer masters already created in the system. However, the users did not specify the Dunning Procedure while creating the Customer Masters. Now they wish to commence the Dunning from SAP, in order to send out the notices for the overdue open items. But we notice that while some of Customer Masters allow changes under the "Correspondence" tab to enter the Dunning Procedure, there are few Customer Masters that do not allow the changes to be made as the feild is greyed off. What could be the reason and how to resolve the same ?

    Hi,
    Customer Master will be created based on the customer account group. For every account group some fields are kept as required, some others are suppressed.
    So, what u have to do, is see for which customer account group are these customers mapped for which corresponce fieds are greyed.
    Then go to spro and do changes in the customer account group as the required fields.
    Then these fields will be ready for inputtig values.

    Assuming that you have cerated a customer 1000 in the sales area  7000 /80 / 00.
    Now as you need to extend the same customer 1000 to 81, 82 ,83 distribution channels also
    create  VD01 for the same customer 1000 and enter the sales area as 7000 / 81 / 00 and fill the feilds and save it
    in the same way extend the customer 1000  to 7000 / 82 / 00 and 7000 / 83 / 00 sales areas 
    Now your customer 1000 is available in  all 4 sales areas
    7000 / 80 / 00 , 
    7000 / 81 / 00
    7000 / 82 / 00
    7000 / 83 / 00
    another solution is mantian common distribution channels
    Go to VOR1 and enter distribution channel as 80 for all 81,82 and 83 distribution  channels
    Now when you create a customer in distribution channel 80 , he will be available in all other distribution channels also

    These are the mandatory feilds to be filled for creation of the customer Master.
    See the following Link
    Account group : Feild selection
    Financial Accounting> Accounts recieables & Payable> Creation and preperation of Customer Account groups...
    There you will find the setting for the same.
    Whaich feild to mark as mandatory and where it should be invalid.

  • Duplicate Customer Master Records

    First thanks for taking the time to read this post. I have always been part of the school of thought of maintaining a common distribution channel for customers. I recently started with a company that has duplicate customer master records. These are customer with the same address, etc. They have been created in some cases four times to accommodate 4 different sales offices, etc for commissions or reporting. I want to propose imrpovement in their system to have one customer instead. Is there any SAP functionality which I can use to have only 1 customer but with 4 different sales offices. I know there is no scope of defining more than sales office in customer master record. I thought of one option to propose TEXT Determination with which I can create a text for the user while creating sales order that this customer has 4 sales offices and allow user to manually enter sales office in sales order. But is there any better option you think of?
    I am trying to dictate the best reasons for maintaining one customer and allowing other factors to control the sales office or partner assignments. I would appreciate any arguments and points you may have as to why you do not want duplicate master records. I.e. system performance, time saved in maintenance.

    Dear Mohit,
    In Customer Master - Sales Area Data go to Extras - Additional Data.
    Here SAP has given five free feilds for any required use. They are under Tab Customer Group.
    You can also change the feild description in CMOD. (you can name it Sales Off 1 / 2 / 3 / 4, etc...)
    These feild can be activated in:
    IMG - Sales and Distribution - Master Data - Business Partners - Customers - Sales - Maintain Reserve Fields In Customer Master.

    We would like to have Creation Date to be displayed on the customer master . How do we do it.
    We can know this from KNA1, but we would like to have a field in General/Sales area data, where the date of creation can be fed.

    The Additional Data Tab would be a better location to add a feild & pop up the value from KNVV-ERDAT feild or you can also create a text procedure assign it for customer master & populate it as a text.
