Customer quality Certificate-Smart form

Hi Experts!
I have developed smart form -Customer quality Certificate,need to attach that smart form to output type LQCB
and generate that Smartform by standard tcode QC22. I have replaced Std scrtpt program with Smart form but till QC22 is calling old script only but I need smartform to be called
Can anybody tell me how to trigger Smart form from QC22/QC21

Hello Jayashankar
You will have to maintain the form detials in 2 places
1) In config Which i think you have maintained
SPRO>QM> Quality Certificates > Output Determination> Define Condition Types for Output Determination> Define Condition Types for Output Determination > LQCB > Processing routines > Print out > You can give the program and Form
2) In the certificate Recipient VV21 - select the customer and click on Communication button and maintain in Print setting , Smart form
This should work

If you want to use the structure in interface. You have to create structure in dictionary.
if you create in form or in report ..they won't recongnize the local structures.

To find out whether a print has happened in smart form.

Hi Gurus,
My requirement is as follows:
When my certificate( Smart Form) is printed i have to give a certificate Number to it and after the print is completed, i have to save that certificate number in a database table for future reference.
Are there any parameters in the smartform function module which indicate print has been completed.
If yes, which are they.? How do i go about this..?

After writing the final function module of the smartform...you should check that whether the sy-subrc is 0 or not.....
if sy-subrc eq 0.

Output in Customer Language for Service Dispatch Note Smart form

We have upgraded from ECC 5.0 to ECC 6.0.
After the upgrade we are facing an issue in some of our Service related smart forms.
The version of the driver program is same in both the systems and the smart form is also same.
The customer's language is maintained in Customer Master data.
In the un-upgraded system, the forms were printed in the Customer language according to what is maintained in the customer master data.
But after the upgrade, in the new system, the form is being printed in English as opposed to the Customer language in the older system.
As I have already mentioned above, in both the systems, the driver program, smart form and Customer Language in the customer master data are similar.
Kindly suggest me the solution if anyone has faced a similar problem.

Hi, Actually I have checked in debugging and have come to know that during the upgrade, when I have downloaded the form from ECC 5.0 and uploaded it to ECC6.0, the Language option in the general attributes tab of the text modules is blank and hence the form is displayed in English only.
Is there any way that I can get the smartform uploaded as it is in the earlier system?

One-Time Customer or Vendor Address Printing in Smart Forms

Hi friends,
I am using the Address Node in Smart Forms to print the Addresses in Tax Invoice Printing. How to get the address details for the One-Time Customers which is stored in the BSEC table using the same Address Function.
(We can directly get the address details from BSEC and display it by using a separate Text Node. But the address formatting according to the recipient country postal standards will be handled only by Address Function in Smart Forms right)

Smart forms customizing

i want to customize the smart form ..for sd commercial invoice
i have copied standard smart and driver program ...
i facing complexity in changing driver program their 3 include structures r there ...how to know it is to change r to delete .
i want some advice that what is the procedure to approach for standard ones .

Hi Raghu,
Firstly you need to get the Program name and FORM routine name from NACE configuration which could obtain from functional consultant or elsewhere.
Next, you need to look for entry routine in the FORM routine so that you can capture the NAST-OBJKEY.
And then based on the nast-objkey select you relevant data from relevant tables and view it using SSF_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME funtion module.

Quality Certificates

Dear Friends,
I am an MM consultant. Doing QM implementation first time.
My client has Quality Certification for its products, like IEC 61215, UL 1703 etc.
Whenever a Customer asks the certificates, they will produce give it to them.
Please tell me how to map this in SAP. Where to create the Certificates like IEC 61215. And how to assign it to the materials.

The IEC 61215 cert appears to be a static cert. This means that once the certification is given, it is a statement of values. I.e. you don't test every item and create a cert based on the tested values of that particular item. Since these values don't chagne or rarely change I would do it one of two ways:
1) create a smart form in SD and simply attach the form as another output type like a BOL or packing list. If it is sent only on customer request, create the output but don't have it automatically print.
2) Create a cert profile, set up any tests as general characteristics and put them in a 001 material class called IEC_61215. Assign this class to the relevant materials. Create a COA profile and list the charcterisitics and have the result origin come from the material class. Assign the profile to the appropriate materials. Create a COA output and assign the correct access sequences and record to have the output created on your deliveries. Now if you get the cert renewed or something in the characteristics change, you just have to update the material class in one place.
I would opt for the second choice myself but than I am a QM guy.

Quality certificate - Delivery ,Inspection lot

Hope every one is doing well
Here is my question, this is the first time i am working on Quality certificates
From sap help came to know that
For Quality certificate for Delivery we need to create a certificate profile , forms that is lay out and contents of the certificate
and we need to assign to material and sales organization or customer
Thats clear for me, but also we need to define the output type as LQCA and LQCB if it is ship to party or sold to party
so i belive that when ever delivery Inspection lot UD is done Quality certifiacte is printed according to certificate profile and output type
i belive that the charactersitics of the inspection lot also printed in the Quality certificate
system gets the information from certificate profile , in the charecteristic assignement
just please someone help me that my understanding is correct
Also i need to know if i want to print Quality certificate for inspection lot how do i set the output type as there is nothing like LQCA,LQCB for inspection lot
please help me what setting i need to do for printing inspection lot Quality certificate

is there any standard transcation in sap , is there any customization need to done in functional point of view , or i need to work with abaper to create a new transcation code to upload

Hi Mohanraj,
Smart form Quality Certificate possible in SAP. But you can't prepare the certificate through standard way (Tcode), you can develop own screen with Z Program.
1. For that reason you can prepare function specification (Table & Field Name with condition) give to your ABAPer.
2. Pick Result with respect to Inspection lot number and Sales Order number u will get all information related certificate.

For quality Certificate
In material master QM view Should have to assgn the QM Control Key which controls the Certification and also assign the certificate Type.
Create Certificate profile (Tcode QC01),
Here For which Inspection type you want to create the certificate assign the Origin and type of inspection.
Assign the layout set (with ABAP er's help Required form to be created and assign the name here)
By default QM_QCERT_01
After creation of profile assign this profile to material/materialand customer com bi

What are Smart Forms?

Hi All,
What are smart forms and what's it's use? As a functional consultant, what do i need to know about it?
A User asked me about creating a SmartForm to gather information (from different dept of the business - Finance, Quality, Purchasing...etc) to create a new Material Master.
What is the transaction code for this? Are smart form something like PDF? Can this be saved to desktop and email to people via outlook? Are data input to the form also saved with the form?

As a functional consultant you need to know the standard forms available for different scenarios. If you need to develop a new layout, you need to give layout design and proper logic to ABAPer.

Plz tell me something about quality certificates.

Process from quality certificate creation to certificate delivery to vendor for incoming material

Quality certificates can be generated from QC21 (from Inspection Lot) or QC22 (From Material / Batch).
A Certificate profile need to be setup which consists of SAP Script (or) Adobe form. MICs (Master Inspection characteristics) can be referenced for this.
currently, Adobe Form - new technology can be implemented so that PDF document can be generated with Quality certificate details can be sent to vendor e-mail ID through custom development, if required.
I am not sure std setup for sending the quality certificate directly to vendor

There are 4 basic steps for quality certificate:
1. Create form in SE71.
2. Create certificate profile in QC01
3. Release certificate profile in QC01
4. assign certificate( mateial, material group or combination of materia-customer in QC15)

Quality Certificate -QC22 & QC20

I have to set up the QM processes for a new plant . Quality certificates needs to be Printed for Batch (QC22 ) & Delivery (QC20)
Can you please let me know what are the mandatory Customization & Master Data settings to achieve the above
so that I can maintain the same & test a cycle

The master data required is
Creation of Certificate Profile: (QC01)
A certificate profile controls inspection lot selection, the sequence of characteristics, and the characteristic data. It contains header data and characteristic data; the latter is optional.Before you can create a certificate profile, an appropriate SAP script form must be available. In characteristic data you need to mention the MIC which is going to get rpinted.
Assignment of Certificate Profile: (QC15)
Before a certificate can be created, the certificate profile must be assigned to at least one object. However, a certificate profile can be assigned to many different objects and object combinations. For example, you can assign a profile to:
Two different materials.
Three different material groups.
Many material/customer combinations.
A certificate profile is assigned to one or more objects for a specific time period. You determine the level at which the assignment is made. For example, you can choose the following key combinations:
Material and customer.
Material.
Material group.
Create Certificate Recipient:(VV21)
The recipient of a certificate that has a function in the delivery item (for example, the customer, vendor, or contact person). The functions that are defined for the output (certificate) are defined in Customizing.
When you define a recipient you determine:
u2022     When the certificate should be created.
u2022     Who should receive the certificate?
u2022     In which language the certificate is created.
Each recipient you define is a condition record for the output determination (LQCB ) You can use these records when you create or change a delivery to automatically find the corresponding output.

Use of NACE after creating print program n smart form

Wat's d purpose of NACE?I hav created my own print program n smart form according to my own requirement.If NACE is necessary 4 my smart from.How can i use NACE i mean navigation steps.

Hi Santhosh,
Nace is for message control settings. Say if u want to trigger a Smartform or an Idoc or any other customized program u can do the message control settings.
Say at the time of Sales Order creation or updation u want to trigger a Smartform, then u have to follow the following steps:
Goto NACE
Select application V1 and then click Output Type.
create a new Output type or copy the existing one abd save it with new name
then in Processing Routine Mention the driver program name and in Form routine mention the main subroutine name.
In Smartform mention your SMartform name and also the layout if u have ceated.
Again go to NACE and Select application V1 and press Procedures.
here out of the many procedures u have to select the right one and attach your Output Type to it.
You can also create a condition record..Say if u want to trigger this Smartforms for Sales Order of particular type.
