Hi all,
can you help me to understand basic setting to perform Customer Replenishment Planning? I'm working into a retail configuration and I'm not able to find place to set information reuired to perform WVM1.

Hi Sharad,
Each application has its own functionalities and tools associated with it. Based on my evaluation, SNC is a tool more towards interactive in nature which involves client involvement. whereas other tools like APO, SPP, F & R are best planning tools which helps industries to carry out short term and long term planning.

I had already done the steps that you have mentioned. i.e. Changing the error processed records to
"Not Processed" and running the initial load again, but it does not help as the exception still continue to be the same i.e. No Product or Location can be found in the database" whereas these details are already present in the system i.e.if you check /FRE/MASS_LOC or for product.
After checking the help (F1) for TEMPRPFROM, it clearly specifies that if a date is mentioned in the field, it will activate the blocking on the date and if no value is present in the field, then the temporary blocking will not be enabled.
Also, a surprising fact is that whenevr I transfer the product or location details on a particular date, the TEMPRPFROM reflects that particular date even in the interface tables. So wondering whether some customizing field is present in IS-Retail side which is causing this issue

Passing PL/SQL Procedure call to custom explain plan script

Hi,
Oracle have sent me a custom explain plan script and have asked me to pass in my problematic code through it. They use the GET command in their script to retrieve the command which is passed in as a parameter e.g:
@custom_explain_plan <my sql script>
The script has a section as follows:
get &&1 -- my script
0 explain plan set statement_id = 'APG' into plan_table for
This works for a standard SQL statement e.g. SELECT SYSDATE FROM DUAL but (and Oracle Support know this) my issue is triggered by a call to an e-Business Suite API that updates the database. This is contained within a PL/SQL block and COMMITs a few sample updates. I've not used explain plan before but I suspect it can only be used on SQL statements? I have no access to the DELETEs and INSERTs that the API triggers, so what am I supposed to do?
Am I missing something or have Oracel Support sold me a pup?
I thought I'd post here first before going back to them...

Many thanks for the swift confirmation. I didn't think I was going mad! Already gave them a standard trace so I guess it's up to them now - my experience with Oracle Support in the last few years has been very deflating - they evidently do not read/understand much of the information they are given in an SR. Added to that, we've had patches from them with basic syntax errors! I've consistently received much more informed responses from the various OTN forums, which are much appreciated.
I may construct the DELETE and INSERT statements dynamically myself using a typical employee record to at least give them something to ponder over...

Associate new type of purchase requsition to Replenishment Planning

I have created a type of purchase requisition (ZNBB) and I can't associate it to the Replenishment Planning.
I have tried to associate it in the SRS parameters and also using the MRP Groups, but WRP1 keeps calling the standard type of requisition (NB). This is a problem for us since we have a different logic for our retail operations than for the rest of our operations.

But now it appears there is no SIM card to switch out. Google search finds several others have asked that question and the Droid X doesn't have a SIM card, apparently. But, the 4G SIM activation kit "Compatibility" tab claims that it is compatible with the Droid X, so what is the real story here? Do I have to send this kit back to you?

No. Call Apple Care and give them the serial number. They may be able to tell you who it is locked to.

Auto generated PRs through Replenishment Planning

could you plz explain the configuration of how to run replenishment planning for an article with autogenerated purchase requisitions based on past consumption values.

Hi,
As soon as you are setting up the forecast-based planning, SAP will, by running forecast, generate the forecast requirements which are based upon the historical consumption data. Once MRP is run, these forecast requirements will be taken into account for automatic generation of purchase requisitions. Is it what you are looking for?

Am preparing for building customized flexible planning according to the SAP standard i had prepared the EX:ZETHPLN
planning type for fiscal year.
But when running its giving dump error tht in MMCP5575
'pmnux' NOT found but in my infostructure S575 i dnt have this field but run time this is giving dump plz if any from PP back ground help me.

while creation of infostructure in flexible planning in MC21 , you should have geneated .
Finally infostructure status should be active & saved.
Then MC7F you should have created all paramters properly.

How do I create custom execution plan in DAC

Hi,
I need to create custom execution plan in DAC to load data into set of tables. actually schema we are building having 2 custom dim tables, 8 OOTB tables (Fact and Dim). So I need to copy existing OOTB execution plan, remove unwanted tables, tasks ect and rebuild. But I don't know exact process to do that Could you please provide step by step details?
We are using OBIEE 10.1.3.4.1, BI Apps 7.9.6.1 and DAC client is on windows XP.

Hi,
I created new container which is a copy of Siebel 8.1.1 and then created new subject area, in tables child tab added one fact table and then clicked on assemble and clicked on save button. I got the message saying it is successfully assembled. I did checked tasks, and related dim tables cant see any for this new subject area. and another strage thing is I navigated to execution plans and again clicked on design tab now I cant see new subject area. when I try to add it again it is saying subject area with that name already available but I cant see it there. I did this twice but not able to fix the problem.

REPLENISHMENT PLANNING

Hi,
We are planning to use Replenishment planning for stores.
1. I have maintained RP type as "RP"- Replenishment.
2. I have also selected the check box "Use Replenishment-Based Inventory Management" in article master.
Now when i run planning thro WRP1 the system creates purchase order for quantities issued as well as the last planning result.
EX:
Step 1
Issues              -10 pcs
Planning result -10 pcs (PO & GR has been completed)
Step 2
Issues              -7 pcs
Planning result -17 pcs (PO & GR has been completed)
Step 3
Issues              -3 pcs
Planning result -20 pcs
What should i do so that the system considers the issues alone ?

under Logistics DC and Store Rp type should be RP, mention the
Reorder point,
target stock,
planned delivery time
Availability chceck - 01
Purchase group
and then Run WRP1

WRP1 Replenishment Planning

Hi,
I have a crazy behavior in tx WRP1. I have a sales order for 10 pieces, there is no stock at my site but WRP1 keeps saying "No replenishment required for the customers chosen". How can I fix this error?, I know that I have 10 pieces shortage.

I think you're problem should related to Planning Calendar.
You receive "No replenishment required for the customers chosen" message if:
1. Planning Calendar already expired.
2. The "Planning date" in tx WRP1 is not defined in "periods begin on the following week days" in the Planning Calendar.
More details on point 2. If in the planning calendar you defined:
Period = Weekly
Periods begin on the following week days = Wednesday, Friday
That means the system only runs replenishment planning if the "Planning date" in tx WRP1 is a Wednesday or Friday!
For example. Go to MM43,
if for site S001, the Planning Cycle (that is the planning calendar) is P05.
Go to check in tx MD27, display the planning calendar P05 for site S001. Check:
1. planning calendar P05 not expired (that is, valid to date still in the future)
2. the planning date you input in WRP1 is a week day defined under "Calculation rule for period specification" in tx MD27.

Consignment Scenario- Customer replenishment

We currently have DP and PPDS implemented in our system , we are planning to have consignment scenario implemented where the customer sends in the forecast to APO DP .
1) How would the process be if we do not want to implement SNP,Deployment , TLB . Can we still go ahead and implement it . How would the process be . The help document says that once the TLB shipment is sent to ECC an Consignment order is created , but in our case we do not want to implement SNP , Deployement , TLB can we still be able to do it .

Our requirement is to do consignment scenario , that is replenish the customer warehouse consignment stock .
The standard Consignment process as listed in help document is we receive the forecast , run SNP , deployment and tlb . Then transfer the TLB shipments to ECC which create Sales orders .

Custom Copy Planning Function in IP

Hi all,
I have a requirement wherein I need to copy the content of one cube to another cube based on certain conditions that are to be handled explicitly.
I cannot use the standard copy function.
So i need to model my own planning function to meet the requirement. Can anyone provide a template based on which I can proceed and create a custom planning function for copying the data from one cube to another cube.

I dont think that FOX can suit our requirement. The reason being as follows:
I need to loop thru the contents of Cube1 so as to find out the Ratio of keyfigures for a particular Characterisitc value. This ratio needs to be used in some other cube (Cube2) for distribution.
Eg: Cube1 :
Characteristic : WBS Element
Keyfigure : Amount
I need to loop thru the cube content and finally arrive at the ratio of Amount assigned to each WBS.
Eg: WBS1:WBS2:WBS3 = 3:1:2
The above ratio needs to be used in Cube2 to distribute the Amount (present at Business area level) to each of the WBS element in cube2.

Our scenario is MTO and we are using strategy Z0 (customized), Individual/coolective indicator: 1 and item category: NORM.

Error when loading metadata into Custom Dimension(Planning)

Hi all,
We are using text files to load metadata into Hyperion Planning. This works fine for standard dimensions. But it doesn't seem to work well for custom dimensions.
I have reversed the model for the custom dimension, and also set the staging area as different from target.
Error:
com.hyperion.planning.InvalidMemberException: The member <membername> does not exist or you do not have access to it.
How does ODI realize a custom dimension load(as opposed to a standard dimension load)?

Please try this
1. Go to Designer and select the Interface
2. Go to Flow tab
3. Select your target
4. Go to target properties windows
5. Now you can find option called "LOAD_ORDER_BY_INPUT" and "SORT_PARENT_CHILE"
6. Please select the different values "YES" or "NO" and try to load the values.

Creating Purchase Requistion through WRP1 (Replenishment planning)

Hi,
We use transaction WRP1 to create requistions. There is a requirement to store the stock on hand of all articles in the requistions at the time WRP1 is executed and report on it later. I tried to achieve this by adding field STOCK in EBAN and WVFB and hoping that will automatically be transferred from replenishment to requisition. But, this does not happen. Also, table WRPT has this field, but does not store the value.
Is there any where else that I can get the stock on hand used by the replenishment run from.
