  • Planned Order for stock and planned order for customer requirement

    Hello everybody
I want to make a different, in MD04,   between the planned order for stock and the planned order created for a customer requirement
    Thank for your help

    Hi,
True planned order are generated for both the cases but the planned order generated for sales order will have sales order number in the below column and for stock will show independent requirement. Mainly no sales order reference will be there for make to stock scenario.
    Hope it will help.

  • Distribution resource planning, Distribution requirement Planning

    Hi PP Gurus
Can anyone tell me what is SAP-DRP(Distribution resource planning) . Also want to know
    1. Configuration steps for DRP
    2. Transactions to complete business scenario.
    3. Prerequisites to implement SAP DRP.
    Thanks in Advance

    Dear
    Distribution Resource Planning
Distribution resource planning provides a framework for determining the need to replenish
    inventory by:
Linking market requirements with manufacturing and demand management
Relating current inventory positions and demand forecasts to production scheduling
Matching material supply to manufacturing demand, and customer demand to product
    supply
    Process Flow
    1. You define all nodes in the network including plants, distribution centers (DCs),
warehouses, and stock transfer points using the Distribution Network tool.
    2. You set up the material master record for each node. In MRP 4 of the material master
record, you must define the deployment strategy for each material (the fair and push
distribution options) as well as deployment horizon (push horizon). For the push horizon,
enter the number of days for which the system considers the ATD quantity and any
additional quantity produced. Any quantity produced beyond the push horizon is not
    considered in the deployment calculation.
    3. To calculate an available to deploy (ATD) quantity, use the availability check rule, DE, in
Customizing, u2018Carry out control for availability check.u2019 The availability check and the
deployment checking rule, determine the MRP elements that are used to calculate the
    ATD quantity.
    4. You create a forecast for each DC; for example, a sales forecast.
    5. You transfer the forecasted data to Demand Management. The system creates
    independent requirements.
    6. You perform a DRP run in each DC and in each supplying plant. The DRP run considers
the quota arrangements defined in the network, available stock, sales orders, and
    independent requirements.
The DRP run in the DCs creates releases for stock transport requisitions in the
    supplying plants.
The DRP run in the supplying plants creates planned orders for production.
    7. You convert planned orders into production orders for manufacturing.
You run deployment to produce stock transport orders for distribution of stock from the supplying
    plants to the DCs.
    Distribution Requirement Planning :
Generates stock transport requisitions between locations.
Accounts for time-dependent safety stocks when the replenishment stock is calculated.
Initiates planning runs in a net change procedure or in a regenerative planning mode
    Deployment
When demand is greater than supply, deployment calculates a fair share quantity based on the available-to-deploy (ATD) quantity and requirements in the distribution centers to be supplied.
When supply is greater than demand, deployment calculates distribution of stock using pull or push logic within the distribution network according to planned requirements.
Generates stock transport orders from suggested orders in the DRP plan.
Prioritizes quantities supplied based on requirements types (customer order, forecast, and safety stock).
    Multi-Sourcing Using Quota Arrangements
Lets multiple plants supply a percentage of the material required by a single location, which makes it possible to prioritize the deliveries made by plants and to specify maximum delivery quantities for particular time periods.
Represents simple capacity constraints, and combines the percentage-based and maximum quantity approaches.
Lets you establish minimum, maximum, and rounding profiles for lot sizing within the network.
Lets you change the distribution network at future dates.
Lets you offset delivery times for specific items from the sourcing location to the replenishment location.
    Single-Sourcing Using Special Procurement Keys
Hope this above details will be useful for your requirement .
    Regards

  • How to Run MRP with requirement Plan Number

    Dear all,
I am working for the process of MRP Run .But customer requirement is that "To Run the MRP with requirement Plan Number"
If you are aware of this scenario ,please provide the solution.
    Thanksin Advance

    Go to MD61
Select the Radio Button Rqt Plan Number
Write the plan number eg. "test1"
now you get the next screen
Here you can enter the materials like
    first line Testmat1 -qty 100   150 ....
    2nd line Testmat2 -qty 150    100
    like that
So the difference between MD61 with Material and Rqt Plan number is
Material means we give requirement for only one material
But for Requirment plan number , w.r.t one Rqt Plan number we can maintain requirement for multiple material
same material with same period we can maintain requitement for Different Requirement Plan number
This is reducing effort of client of data entry and for different sales Regions for the same material through "Rqt Plan No" they can differentiate the rqt
MRP run run it for PLANT or multiple plant with Scope of Planning
    thanks
    Pl award points if useful

  • Re: Execution of Customer requirement when order start was in the past

When I adopted lead time scheduling I received a customer requirement with a date, but the order sart date is in the past, now if I want to meet the customer requirement scheduled particularly on the date how I can I reduce the process. Is there any possibility, if so how?

    Dear,
First in SPRO- production >MRP>planning>Scheduling and Capacity Parameters>Parameters for Determining the Basic Dates
For you plant in question the tick - *start in past allowed is unticked*
You can make the system to schedule from today by changing the customising setting -->in OPU5 for combination of plant and order type() and production scheduler()
see that start in past is blank.
One more way is like one of our fellow memmebr told, reduction strg for whcih you need to do the setting in reduction in the same transaction code.
reduction type = all the oprations are reduced
    maximum reduction level - 6
% reduction in flots = give % reduction in floats i.e. Red. of floats before and after production (%) level-1 to level 6 i.e. each blank space is one level you can give like 10, 20, 30, 50, 70, 90...
Then schedule the order and see the difference.
For production order i.e.if production order is already created, and you want to change thye setting then youhave to the setting in OPU3
Then OPJS define the reduction strtegy and give your % reduction for each item like move time, spliting and overlap

  • Creation Indicator in PR: B Material Requirement planning

    Hi All,
I am facing an unusal scenario.
User is claming that PR is getting generated for a material after running the MRP, even there is enough stock.
I checked material &  I found that MRP type is ND, there is no entry in the planning file for this material.MRP list & stock requirement list of this material is showing nothing. So there is no way that PR will be created automatically via MRP run for this material.
When I checked one PR for this material, Plant & storage location, creation indicator is showing as B Material Requirement planning.
Could you please help me that why creation indicator is showing as B>
I further checked these PRs are created long back when MRP type was V1. Later they changed it to ND.
How to delete MRP generated PR manually when PO has been created for these PR.
    Regards
    Shilpi
    Edited by: sapmm1234 on Dec 14, 2011 6:10 PM

As you said; the PR was created long ago by MRP, when it was not ND.
If it was already converted into a PO, there's no need to delete it, right? If not, just delete it manually.
In the future, when you change MRP type from a valid type to ND, always remember to do 2 additional things, as the system will not do them automatically:
    1- delete the MRP list
2- delete any planning elements if they exist, like planned orders and MRP generated PRs.

  • How to create a SCCM 2012 Custom Requirement for OS Architecture?

    Hey guys,
I'm using the application model to deploy several 32-Bit and 64-Bit apps and I’m looking to simplify things a bit. Right now I'm using the built-in requirements to specify the
supported OS Architectures for my 32-Bit/64-Bit only applications. This is a bit tedious as it requires me to check every single OS type I want an application to support (i.e. for 64-Bit stuff I check Windows 7 x64, Windows 8.1 x64, Windows Server 2008 R2
x64, Windows Server R2 x64 and vice versa for 32-Bit). Really all I want is some sort of requirement that lets me specify "Install for all 64-Bit OSes" or "Install for all 32-Bit OSes" depending upon the application in question.
I’ve been looking at some of the options for a custom requirement and I’m pretty sure I can use that piece to achieve the results I want, I just need to determine what condition
I need to test against to make it work. Based on what I’ve read I’m thinking that checking the following registry key should work:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Session Manager\Environment
    KEY: PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE
But I am concerned it could produce the wring result when you have a 32-Bit OS installed on a machine with a 64-Bit capable processor (I have a lot of those in my environment). I also have some older XP/2003 machines to support as well and I’m concerned
that this method might not work for those systems. Has anyone here faced this same issue and come up with a solution that is relatively foolproof and (if so) would you mind sharing your solution?

Create a custom global condition called "OS Architecture x64" and use it as an existential rule.  You are either x64 or are not x64 (implying x86... you'll be on the next version of ConfigMgr when 128-bit Windows comes out...).
For the rule, use a WQL query to look at the architecture of the OS.
    Win32_OperatingSystem
    OSArchitecture = '64-bit'
    I hope that helps!

See that's why I posted here. I knew somebody out there had to have come up with a good solution for this and I have to say Nash this is indeed very clever and now that you spelled it out for me also a total no-brainer. Either it is 64-Bit or it isn't!
That's really all I need to know for my deployment. I was working on two conditions (a 32-Bit and a 64-bit) when (really) all I needed was one. Very very slick. I love it man, thanks for sharing!

  • Passing PL/SQL Procedure call to custom explain plan script

    Hi,
Oracle have sent me a custom explain plan script and have asked me to pass in my problematic code through it. They use the GET command in their script to retrieve the command which is passed in as a parameter e.g:
    @custom_explain_plan <my sql script>
The script has a section as follows:
    get &&1 -- my script
0 explain plan set statement_id = 'APG' into plan_table for
This works for a standard SQL statement e.g. SELECT SYSDATE FROM DUAL but (and Oracle Support know this) my issue is triggered by a call to an e-Business Suite API that updates the database. This is contained within a PL/SQL block and COMMITs a few sample updates. I've not used explain plan before but I suspect it can only be used on SQL statements? I have no access to the DELETEs and INSERTs that the API triggers, so what am I supposed to do?
Am I missing something or have Oracel Support sold me a pup?
I thought I'd post here first before going back to them...
    Many thanks,
    Bagpuss

    Sybrand,
Many thanks for the swift confirmation. I didn't think I was going mad! Already gave them a standard trace so I guess it's up to them now - my experience with Oracle Support in the last few years has been very deflating - they evidently do not read/understand much of the information they are given in an SR. Added to that, we've had patches from them with basic syntax errors! I've consistently received much more informed responses from the various OTN forums, which are much appreciated.
I may construct the DELETE and INSERT statements dynamically myself using a typical employee record to at least give them something to ponder over...
    Thanks again,
    Bagpuss.

  • What is Material Requirement Planning

what is Material Requirement Planning since i am a beginner in Supply chain management

Material Requiremnts plan and master schedule (MRP) answers two quisitions:
    1. How mauch you need to supply (Make/Buy).
    2. How much resource Hours needed to produce.
MRP is an unconstrained, and infinite planning engine. this means, if you have a demand (Sales order/Forecast), the planning engine recommend actions to be done based on demand due date only regardless of capacity or material availability, and it gives you exception messages to take action; as a planner; regarding anything that may violate satisfying the demand in that due dates.

  • Different between Customer requirement and Sales Order.

Hi, can any expert explain the Different between Customer requirement and Sales Order to me?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Regards,
    Tiger

    Hi...
The Customer sents the requirement ( Like specially manufactured products as per the customer specifications) which can be entered in the form an Inquiry. With ref. to this inquiry a quotation will be sent to the customer. The customer places an order thru document with reference to this quotation.
Now the company processes the order and manufactures the Product and delivers the Product to the Customer and recieves the payment.
    Hope this clears the query
    Reward points if found usefull

    Edited by: amkum82 on Oct 11, 2010 1:47 PM

    Hi
Baseline package includes BC sets with preconfigured scenarios as you might know. While customers requirements may be require certain additional configuration, customizing or enhancments . So in implementation scenario to track and maintain Baseline configuration intact for reference and future use ,the Baseline activation system is used.
While the client requirement system will be a development system  for config and testing of all requirements arising out of project.
    I hope this helps

  • BAPI for deletion of a requirement plan

    Hi,
Is there a BAPI to delete a requirement plan (created through TCODE MD61).
I have found BAPIs for creation and modification of those requirements:
    BAPI_REQUIREMENTS_CREATE,  BAPI_REQUIREMENTS_CHANGE ...
    but none for the deletion.
    Thanks & regards

The BAPI BAPI_REQUIREMENTS_CHANGE will be helpful to delete the PIR,
please go the transaction BAPI and find it for detail information, you
can check the documentation of it.
Later you ahve to run MD74/75 and 76 to delete completely form the database.

  • Datasource 2LIS_03_S194 (Material Requirement Planning)

    Hello SDN:
I need to extract data from the datasource 2LIS_03_S194 (Material Requirement Planning) relevant to me. I know this datasource is LIS and to fill it, I need to run a program RMCBMRP2 to fill set up tables, and this doesnot support Delta update.
I have one doubt, that for future MRP data Loads will I have to execute this Program every time and do full loads..? OR can I schedule a job to do.? If so, how to schedule a job.?
Please share your experiences with me.
    Thanks in advance,

Hi Kalyana- I am also using this same datasource and not sure when to run the program RMCBMRP2 in ECC and what parameters (regarding period/dates) to provide in SE38 while running it. If you have found more info on this can you share with me please?
