Customer Service for Toshiba

Hello all..I was a  little concerned with the rumors going around about Toshiba customer service...then i experienced it and it was nothing less then horrible, i was on hold for 40min and transferred about 12 times then decided to hang up because of cell battery..for fyi i was calling about my box they were sending me to ship my 3 month old laptop in for warranty work, its been 2 weeks, anyway it was never sent and once i get hold of a case manager i will find out why. My question is have any of you had any issues with Toshiba customer service?? or is it just a bad time of year for them..I am really considering selling my laptop because of this bad experience..and this is just for a shipping box status not even real work..im thinking Sony 

when you have a problem with your laptop can you alway replicate the situation to get it to do it over and over to figure out exactly what it is. i doubt it. do you think you would be able to do that with all of those laptops? the problems dont always show up. they arent going to sit and try to figure it out for a long period of time since  people start calling and complain when their laptop is gone for a day that it is taking the depot to long to fix it.

    I'm a new user and finding Apple customer service very un-responsive to resolving a problem I had with an unrecognized charge to my account. Account has been disabled and I have no access while they "investigate." I have given new credit card but that isn't speeding things up. All for a $1.29 charge!     With millions of iTunes customers, ther are bound to be some that have issues.
    Usually they are pretty good about getting things sorted out. Respond to the previous email you received and give it 48 hours for a response.

    I have been unable to access my purchased music on my new computer (the old one crashed before I could back up my purchased itunes music). I clicked "check for purchases," and received one of several television shows I purchased and NONE of the dozons of songs and albums. When I clicked "check for purchases" again, a box came up that said "all purchases have been downloaded for this account." Does Apple really not allow you to recover your purchased music in this situation? Does Apple really put profits ahead of customer satisfaction to the extent that they've eliminated phone customer service for itunes altogether? Well, I know the answer to the second question from research is yes. How sad. But can anyone help me with the first Q? Is all my purchased music really gone permanently? Thanks. -Matt

    Apple's policy is clear: iTS purchases can be downloaded only once. It is your responsibility to make back-ups.
    That being said, at their discretion they have made one-time exceptions to this policy. You can ask for an exception by submitting the form at the bottom of this page:

    You are wasting your time. Registration always has been optional and those pages are long gone. Simply don't bother.

  • Bad customer service for my printer

    Today, I called HP customer service for an ink failure issue of my printer. I knew that the printer had out of warranty so I want to ask question how to reset the printer. But the customer service representative told me that I am a valued customer so he will assist my problem over the phone fully without any charges. I really appreciated two attempts (Cleaning, Power reset) and he would give me two options of my problem.
    Those were basically replacement plans that were $30-$60 less than the new one. Of course, those plans are for the manufactured reconditioned with extra sets of ink cartridges and 2 years warranty if I pay another $1. I couldn’t accept this offer at that time because I need to discuss with my wife, but instead I asked customer representative to call me on later tonight. The customer representative supposed to call me later tonight, but I didn’t get any phone call from HP, so I called HP and I was really surprised how HP change their words. I argued around 2 hrs with switching my phone call to 4 different person, and a lot of waiting time, asking that I got offered. I knew that HP would record all the conversation and never response me about this.
    Finally, I found that HP offered me scratched and cosmetic wear printer with guaranteed working. The hardware supervisor gave me this offer and made sure that I am aware of that by reading conditions of printer. Later, I asked for the return policy, and she give me 3 business days. Who is going to buy a $50 less priced printer with a lot of scratches? I know that another sets of ink cartridges will worth to have this offer, but I didn’t because I will disappoint when I first saw the product.
    I totally disappointed of customer service how HP changes their offers and words, resulting me wasted more than five hours, including convincing my wife. I regret that I bought so many HP products (computers, printers, and tablets) I will never buy HP products, and I will not recommend HP products because of worst customer service.

  • Good Customer Service, for once!

    Hello, I just wanted put in a compliment.  I was VERY impressed with the service we received from Layton at the Verizon Store on McCarran in Reno, Nevada.  We had been to three different stores to solve our problem with a faulty 3G wireless device, and had received no answer or useful help.  Just blew us off.  I was about ready to switch to AT&T.  This guy changed all of that, beyond excellent customer service.  There should be more guys like him around.  Thanks!  On the other hand I couldnt find anywhere to easily leave this comment, and the chat box didn't work.

    I use the iskin solo case for the iphone 4. They have released their cases last week thursday I believe, but I got mine in the mail yesterday and so far I like it. I know people have different taste and likings on any cases, but I personally like the iskin cases. Been using them since the iphone 3G S and it protected me well. few times I dropped my iphone 3G s with the iskin case on and it did it's job really well.
    I also had the iskin case for my 3G as well and just for the fun of it I did a drop test from where my ear is and I dropped it to the hard wood floor, and it landed dead flat on the ground with screen facing down. I was surprised that it survived that drop because it did made a huge crack noice, and of cource no screen cracks on it, but I sold the 3G now.
    But I would never do the same drop test with my iphone 4, knowing that both side is made of glass and don't want to take the risk.

    sorry if this is a bit dragged out post, but i'll limit it to as short as possible.
    bought my daughter an ipod touch for last christmas which has always been inside a hard case and never been outside and is like new when out of case(for cleaning).
    last month or so it developed a small prob with sound not playing on some tracks(posted in here also), i sent it back to apple for repair, they sent it back saying it was software issue and they updated software accordingly, within days of recieving it back it started to develop another problem with the screen flickering on and off and the totally stopped responding to touch,called apple again to inform them of this and they asked for it back,sent it back again(only using their package service & UPS courier) i recieved it back a few days later with a very crude note stating they will not be repairing it because it has been subject to abuse/neglect in the form of liquid damage. no explaination as to what has been damaged or even cost of repair. i know for a fact 100% this has not been near water or any liquid, i have asked apple for an explaination and sent them 3 letters of complaint which they do not answer,i have now contacted consumer direct uk, they are advising small claims action.
    anyone have similar problem or any advice they can offer? looking on consumeraffairs.com this seems to be a regular tactic of apple

    If the water sensor has been triggered, Apple will refuse warranty service. You state that the iPod has never been exposed to moisture. I'm not saying that you would not tell the truth, but many people claim that a unit hasn't been abused only to find/admit later that it has, so your protestations will probably be in vain. Apple will point to the sensor being triggered as hard evidence that it has indeed come in contact with moisture. Heck, unless you've had the unit in your possession 24/7 since you got it, you can't even with certainty say that it hasn't; many children have, for instance, inadvertently and sometimes unknowingly had a spill in a backpack that damaged some electronic device.
    As others have suggested, you can try taking the unit to an Apple Store and discussing the issue. You can also call the Apple tech support line and asking to speak with a customer service representative. But I would guess that neither route will be of any use; Apple sees the moisture sensor triggered and that ends the matter for them.

  • Lack of Customer Service for Despicable Me hat

    2/2/2015.  Yesterday (Sunday) was the first day of advertisement of the Despicable Me 2 Blue Ray DVD ($12.99) with $1.99 minion hat.  I called the Roseville, CA store and they said they had the hat in stock.  20 minutes later, I was at the store -- no hat (sold out about a week ago).  They called the Citrus Heights, CA store who reserved a hat for me at customer service.  Guess what, my husband went to pick up the products today and NO HAT.  So, I'm mad, mad, mad. Best Buy has no customer service and I am so frustrated that I signed up for the blog forum just to vent and (hopefully) get a hat somehow.

    I’m not sure if you saw the commercial featuring the new Minions movie, but they obviously are popular and I can understand why you would want that hat after seeing it!  I’m sorry to hear that both the Roseville and Citrus Heights stores were sold out of it.
    I’ve checked the stores around your area and unfortunately, it appears that they are sold out of these hats and with them being limited edition, I’m not sure if they will get them back in stock.  However, we do still have the offer available through BestBuy.com currently here, so if you have not already bought your movie, you should be able to place an order for the movie and the hat while the promotion is running

  • Creating a custom service for DSAME

    Hi, could anyone point me to documentation on creating a custom services and policies for DSAME?

    You both had me going nuts trying to figure how to get to that property. Basically just right click the DAQmx property node and "Select filter..." . This brings up the "Configure Filter Settings" where I chose 'show all attributes'. I could then get to the AI Custom Scale Name property.
     Interestingly when you use the Property Browser and select the magnifying glass you can get to that property...but you just can't select it if you have the filter set incorrectly. Lesson Learned.
