  • Service Battery error message for a battery that looks ok

    Hello,
    I have a 13 inch Macbook Pro with model number 5,5 and after upgrading my hard drive to a WD scorpio black 750GB and also adding 8 GB of Kingston memory I get a Service Battery error message. My OS is 10.6.8. The strange is that my battery is in a fairly good condition. I did check with coconut battery and it looks ok. I also add a print screen.
    Does anyone knows how can I remove this error message ?
    Do I have to replace my battery ?

    Service battery means replace battery as soon as possible.
    Reset SMC and see whether it changes the notification.
    Reset SMC.     http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964
    Choose the method for:
    "Resetting SMC on portables with a battery you should not remove on your own".
    Best.

  • Jdev11g;Customizing Business Components Error Messages

    Hi All,
    Using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.2. I have customized the BC error message using message bundle. My message bundle class is
    public class MessageBundle1 extends ListResourceBundle {
    private static final Object[][] sMessageStrings =
    new String[][] {
    { "JBO-26048","Child records exist against selected record " },
    { "EMP_JOB_FK","Child records exist against selected record "},
    { "JBO-25013","Record already exist"},
    { "JOB_ID_PK","Job ID already exsist"}
    /**Return String Identifiers and corresponding Messages in a two-dimensional array.
    protected Object[][] getContents() {
    return sMessageStrings;
    Need help on couple of questions/issues I am facing on this:-
    1) Though I have given the error message for JBO-25013 and JOB_ID_PK, still I am getting following error message on UI , when saving the new record
    "Too many objects match the primary key oracle.jbo.Key[AD_PRES ]."?
    2) Why I am getting "Attribute JobId in HrModule.JobsView1 is required." along with above error message in the error popup window?
    3) When deleting the record, though I am getiing desired error message on UI "oracle.jbo.DMLConstraintException: Child records exist against selected record ", why error message is prefixed with "oracle.jbo.DMLConstraintException".?
    4) How I can localize the error messages to another language?
    Thanks
    Vikram

    There is surely a section in the Fusion Developer's Guide on custom error/exception handling. Have you found it? Perhaps you have since you are considering overriding view/model framework objects.
    In JDev 10g there was very good documentation for how to do this in the ADF Developer's Guide. As far as I could tell, the equivalent manuals are the Fusion Developer Guides for ADF 11g. I think you will have a lot of luck getting what you want if you research this a bit more.
    In ADF 10g, what you are alluding to certainly was the solution to what you wanted. I do not know a whole lot about version 11g, but I suspect it is similar in this regard.
    in 10g this process started with overriding the ADF life-cycle.
    Once you get this working I also found some on-line commentary/articles from Avrom Roy-Federman on how to additionally extend error handling.
    All this said, you also seem to be asking some other questions (jobid and such), the solutions of which would require us to have more information about your application, I think.
    Maybe you can take one question at a time? Or start multiple threads?

  • CS5 Service Manager error message?

    I keep getting the CS5 service manager error message - ordinal not found.  Specifically ' the ordinal 3873 could not be located in the dynamic link library LIBEAY32.dll'  Any ideas please on how to fix this?

    That's very puzzling, but you seem to have an older version of the Adobe Extension Manager for CS5.x.  You are on 5.0.x, R_Kelly mentions 5.2.x, and I'm on 5.5.x
    Maybe you need to make sure you are updated to Photoshop 12.1 update first, then make sure you are updated to Adobe Extenson Manager 5.5.0.163.
    This is the version of the AEM that I have for Photoshop 12.1 (CS5.1) which resides on my Snow Leopard 10.6.8 boot HD:

  • Custom login module error: Login permission not granted for myapp (myuser)

    I have developed a custom login module for my application. I have followed the steps outlined in security guide and other postings. I could not log into the application when I access EJBs from an RMI client. I get the following error.
    Login permission not granted for myapp (myuser)
    I did grant the login permission to myuser.
    I am using OC4J 10.1.3.1.0
    Here are the steps I followed and the configuration files. Can anybody help me out?
    1. Created a custom login module and packaged it in EAR along with other classes. In the commit method, I added my user into principals of subject. Here is the code,
    ==================================================================
    public boolean commit() throws LoginException {
    try {
    if (!loginOk) {
    return false;
    Set<Principal> principals = subject.getPrincipals();
    principals.add(user);
    loginOk = true;
    } finally {
    // Some audit logs are written here.
    return loginOk;
    ===============================================================
    2. Added custom login module in orion-application.xml. Here are the relevant portions of orion-application.xml
    ===============================================================
    <jazn provider="XML">
    <property name="role.mapping.dynamic" value="true" />
    <property name="custom.loginmodule.provider" value="true" />
    <property name="role.compare.ignorecase" value="true" />
    </jazn>
    <jazn-loginconfig>
    <application>
    <name>myApp</name>
    <login-modules>
    <login-module>
    <class>com.test.myServerLoginModule</class>
    <control-flag>required</control-flag>
    <options>
    <option>
    <name>maxRetries</name>
    <value>3</value>
    </option>
    <option>
    <name>debug</name>
    <value>true</value>
    </option>
    </options>
    </login-module>
    </login-modules>
    </application>
    </jazn-loginconfig>
    <namespace-access>
    <read-access>
    <namespace-resource root="">
    <security-role-mapping name="myUser">
    <group name="users"/>
    <group name="oc4j-app-administrators"/>
    </security-role-mapping>
    <security-role-mapping name="esp_operator">
    <group name="users"/>
    <group name="oc4j-app-administrators"/>
    </security-role-mapping>
    </namespace-resource>
    </read-access>
    </namespace-access>
    ===============================================================
    3. After the application is deployed on the EAR, I can see the custom login module in system-jazn-data.xml. The command line jazn admin tool lists my custom login module for my application.
    4. I have an RMI client, the client JNDI properties are
    ==============================================================
    java.naming.factory.initial=oracle.j2ee.naming.ApplicationClientInitialContextFactory
    java.naming.factory.url.pkgs=oracle.j2ee.naming
    ==============================================================
    The value for java.naming.provider.url is constructed dynamically and it is ormi://myserver:23791/myapp
    java.naming.security.principal is set to the user who is trying to login, myuser, in this case.
    java.naming.security.credentials is set to the password entered by myuser, password in this case.
    5. I used jazn admin tool to grant login permission to my user.
    ===============================================================
    a. Added user
    java -jar jazn.jar -user oc4jadmin -password welcome -adduser jazn.com myuser password
    b. Grant roles
    java -jar jazn.jar -user oc4jadmin -password welcome -grantrole users ja
    zn.com myuser
    java -jar jazn.jar -user oc4jadmin -password welcome -grantrole oc4j-app
    -administrators jazn.com myuser
    c. Grant RMI permission
    java -jar jazn.jar -user oc4jadmin -password welcome -grantperm jazn.com
    -user myuser com.evermind.server.rmi.RMIPermission login
    ===============================================================
    After the permission is granted, the folowing piece of XML is added to system-jazn-data.xml.
    ===============================================================
         <grant>
              <grantee>
                   <principals>
                        <principal>
                             <realm-name>jazn.com</realm-name>
                             <type>user</type>
                             <class>oracle.security.jazn.spi.xml.XMLRealmUser</class>
                             <name>jazn.com/esp_administrator</name>
                        </principal>
                   </principals>
              </grantee>
              <permissions>
                   <permission>
                        <class>com.evermind.server.rmi.RMIPermission</class>
                        <name>login</name>
                   </permission>
              </permissions>
         </grant>
    ==============================================================
    My principal class is not of type, oracle.security.jazn.spi.xml.XMLRealmUser. Hence, I changed system-jazn-data.xml to include com.test.MyUser instead of oracle.security.jazn.spi.xml.XMLRealmUser. Either way, I get Not Authorized and Login permission not granted for myapp (myuser).
    Can anybody help me out, please?
    Thank you,
    Sri

    I finally got it to work. But I have a problem granting RMI Permission "login", if the depth of my Principal class within the inheritance hierarachy is more than one. My hierarachy of my principal class is
    Object --> ObjectA --> ObjectB --> ObjectC --> ObjectD
    ObjectD is my principal class. ObjectB implements java.security.Principal. ObjectA has implementations for methods equals, hashcode and toString. ObjectB has implementations for getName.
    When I try to grant RMI permission for ObjectD, I get an error that says null.
    If I override the methods, equals, hashcode, toString, and getName in ObjectD and provide implementations, I still could not grant permission using jazn tool. I get error that says null. If I update the system-jazn-data.xml with the following grant tag, I could get into the application without any errors.
         <grant>
              <grantee>
                   <principals>
                        <principal>
                             <class>com.test.ObjectD</class>
                             <name>developers</name>
                        </principal>
                   </principals>
              </grantee>
              <permissions>
                   <permission>
                        <class>com.evermind.server.rmi.RMIPermission</class>
                        <name>login</name>
                   </permission>
              </permissions>
         </grant>
    If I create a new class, myPrincipal that implements java.security.Principal, I donot have any problems. I can grant permission and access application.
    Any ideas why I could not use ObjectD as my principal class for granting RMI permission?

  • Service Module Error

    when I connect my Nano3G to my pc, itunes instantly displays an error message.
    (Ipod service module has encountered an error and must close)
    There are no numbers on error message... Hellllp me resolve this please! It was working fine until I updated to itunes 7.6
    itunes 7.6
    xp pro
    service pack 3

    RE: XP service pack 3, I followed the directions of a post by MRFREEZE61 (Half way down this page http://forums.microsoft.com:80/TechNet/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=3302530&SiteID=17
    The details in my device manager reappeared and the PC' running properly.
    Here's his post..
    I'll be damned - it was indeed corruption introduced into the registry by the SP3 upgrade process itself.
    In my case it was located in: HKEYLOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetEnumRootLEGACYCCPROXY
    All the invalid entries ( which for me all began with $%& ) had to be deleted.
    Finding your currupted entries is not easy - but expand all sections in all controlsets with \Enum\ to find them. Posts in other forums have never produced corruption in the exact same registry tree/keys - so unfortuneatly you will have to "look hard". Also deleting the bogus entries may not be as easy as just "delete". You may need to modify the permisions on each entry.
    For a small amount of entries:
    1) Rightclick and go to the permissions of the corrupt registry key
    2) add new permission for the administrator
    3) give the administrator "full control"
    4) Reboot into Safe Mode (F8)
    5) run regedit and delete the offending keys
    For a large amount of entries I chose the following instructions:
    1. Download and install SubInACL
    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=E8BA3E56-D8FE-4A91-93CF -ED6985E3927B&displaylang=en
    2. Create a blank file named reset.cmd in C:\Program Files\Windows Resource
    Kits\Tools folder.
    3. Edit the reset.cmd file with the following content.
    subinacl /subkeyreg HKEYLOCALMACHINE /grant=administrators=f
    subinacl /subkeyreg HKEYCURRENTUSER /grant=administrators=f
    subinacl /subkeyreg HKEYCLASSESROOT /grant=administrators=f
    subinacl /subdirectories %SystemDrive% /grant=administrators=f
    subinacl /subkeyreg HKEYLOCALMACHINE /grant=system=f
    subinacl /subkeyreg HKEYCURRENTUSER /grant=system=f
    subinacl /subkeyreg HKEYCLASSESROOT /grant=system=f
    subinacl /subdirectories %SystemDrive% /grant=system=f
    4. Enter into the CMD/Command prompt. CD Change Directory to C:\Program Files\Windows Resource Kits\Tools
    5. Run reset.cmd
    6. After many minutes of processing by subinacl, the permission will be reset Ignore any errors.
    7. Reboot into Safe Mode (F8)
    8. Run regedit and delete the offending keys (right click/delete)
    These instructions were adapted from many other posters across numerous forums and sites - all credit to the original authors.
    I searched my registry for $%&'( and found a lot of them in HKEYLOCAL_MACHINESOFTWARESYSTEMControlSet003EnumRootLEGACY_LIVEUPDATENOTICE
    and HKEYLOCAL_MACHINESOFTWARESYSTEMControlSet003EnumRootLEGACY_LIVEUPDATENOTICE\0000

  • ITunesHelper Module error message

    Perhaps someone can answer this - I got a 60GB iPod for x-mas. followed the instructions, set up iTunes, downloaded music, etc. iPod charged up and plays great.
    Only problem is that now, when I turn my PC on, I always get an error message that reads "iTunesHelper Module has encountered an error", so I have to send Microsoft an error message report. I've put the latest updates in, and I still get the same message every time my PC starts up. If it helps, I have Windows XP, service Pack 2. I just got my PC last July - a Dell XPS with a ton of memory, so I don't think that's the problem.
    I've even downloaded the latest update of iTunes tonight - still the same error message when restarting.
    so why the messages - I've yet to come across anything regarding this.
    thanks,
    sheryl

  • Customizing Predefined Database error messages

    Hi,
    I've a ADF table from the view object in my page. The table has two columns and column 2 is mandatory from entity side (in db not null). While filling the table from the page, I kept 3 row's value empty in 2nd column.
    Now on submit, it throws validation message which is as expected. But as I left 3 field in column 2 blank, in the message it says "Column 2 : Please enter a value" three times.
    My customer wants that instead of three message string, it should display one message string like "Please enter values for column 2"
    Is there any possibility to concatenate the 3 message string into single message? If yes what is the way to achieve it?
    We are using JDeveloper 11.1.1.4
    Thanks in Advance

    Hi,
    I'm also facing same problem since many days..I'm unable to concatenate multiple duplicate error messages into a single message.I've a ADF table from the view object in my page.When I'm entering multiple row values in a single column as a blank values(which are mandatory), and after When i click the commit,AttrValException is being occured and predefined error messages are being displayed in a dialog box.As the entered blank values are from same column, the error messages are duplicate as shown below::
    (For example):
    Error:
    EmployeeId :You Must enter a Value
    EmployeeId :You must enter a Value
    EmployeeId :You must enter a Value.
    When I click the commit button,Is there any way to handle the exception and concatenate these error messages into a single message.
    I'm using JDeveloper 11.1.1.4.0
    Thanks in Advance

    Actually CS is used widely in service industries. as far as concerned with SD module, it takes care about the selling of the product. once we sold the product to customer, we need to take care of the service & maintenance of the product. in such a case, customer service comes into picture,
                    It is all abt creating the service order and executing the service order and settlement of that. Also it is closely integrated with PM, CO and PP module.
    the following master datas are important in CS.
    1) customer
    2) Material (service)
    3) Functional location
    4) Equipment
    5) Installment bases
    6) work centres
    7) Pricing conditions
    8) BOM

  • WD Drive Manager Services component error message MyBook Studio Edition II 2TB on iMac

    For five months I have been using a WD MyBook Studio Edition II 2TB in RAID 1 mode on a 27" iMac i7, 2.93 GHz, running Mac OS X 10.6.7, as a Time Machine connected via FW800.  Initial installation and operation was all good.
    Recently, the blue WD logo disappeared from the menu bar. I reinstalled the WD Drive Manager version 2.25 from the installation disk. The logo reappeared, however when selecting Launch WD RAID Manager from the menu an error message appears:
    "The WD Drive Manager Services component could not be found. Make sure the Drive Services component is running first."
    I removed the WD Drive Manager with the installation disk and reinstalled and tried again. No good.
    Tried again, this time using the USB connection with the same result. No joy.
    Tried using the downloadable version (2.25) from the WD website with same results.
    Searching Google lead to no hits on anything remotely related for a solution.
    So, at this point, I cannot confirm that the drive is actually in RAID 1 mode. It shows up in the Finder as a 1TB drive with 268 GB used.
    How can I restore a working version of the WD Drive Manager?
    WD Tech Support has escalated the issue to programmer level but without a successful solution. They suggested I post here as well to see if any other Mac users may have had this problem and have found a solution.
    Thanks for any assistance or referral.

    Unfortunately you probably will not find very many if anyone using WD Drive Manager here, most of us are using a variety of backup strategies that include Time Machine, an on-line backup and a Bootable Clone made with CarbonCloner or SuperDuper.

  • Facing the user profile service service failed error message

    Hi,
     This is prasad, and am facing the below error message while i try to logon to the system with administrative password.
     The User Profile Service service failed the logon.
      User Profile cannot be loaded.
    Can you please help me out how to resolve the above issue as the earliest?
    Thanks in advance.
    With regards,
    Prasad V

    This is probablly  caused by a virus.. When this happened to me it did work in safe mode. You should disable all start up programs except for the programs needed to start up. TRy unninstalling all of the programs. Do you have more than one user account? I`m guessing you have vista. What I did was reinstall the vista. I had a backup on one partion of the disk and transfered that but it did fail. INStead I ended up with not being able to start it up. I called aacer and they gave me a new bsckup disk. IF you have more than one account then you can easly transfer all the doccuments and redo everything. You may have to get office and all thoose other programs again.  I found a lot of extrtra viruses and spyware when I did the scan. So, it may be hard to get back in. JUSt log into safe mode, make an extra account if possile. Good luck!
