Customers should receive event triggered notification.

Hi,
I am suppose to do the e-mail design documentation using sap crm on 1. Customer Receives Event Triggered Notification. and 2. Customer receives the marketing information. on these two topics got no idea on these things at all. Could any one please help me in finding the material for these and also please describe the overview of these two things.

I cant say about the documentation but what I know is we have to perform the Scott configuration in the system,Maintain the distriution list in custom table for email detials of the customer & develop an exit which will send the required information on event of saving the document..Hope this will help..

The BO for ISR forms is BUS7051 - Notification. Turn on the trace via SWELS and create a PCR/ISR form and you should see the events being triggered in SWEL.

Receiving Events from all nodes

Hi
I have a cluster which contains n nodes.Each node contains a partitioned
cache service with a cache called CacheA. If an object is inserted it is inserted to any one
of the n nodes based upon some distribution algorithm and registered event listeners for that
particular cache are triggered on that node.
But is there a way to trigger an event in all n nodes irrespective of the physical location of insertion?
If so, how to go about it? Any documents or help regarding this will be helpful to me.

Hi Mark,
AFAIK the guarantees for listeners are the following:
Listeners registered inside the TCMP cluster (full-fledged cluster nodes, not in an *Extend client):
- sychronous listeners (listeners implementing MapListenerSupport.SynchronousListener or those wrapped in MapListenerSupport.WrapperSynchronousListener) guaranteed to get notifications before the thread executing the triggering cache operation (if there was one) returns from the cache operation. I am not 100% sure, but I strongly believe that the cache operation returning also means that the synchronous listeners also completed, judging from the documentation of SynchronousListener, which would also mean that an ack for synchronous listeners is only sent back from the listener node once all synchronous listeners completed.
- asynchronous listeners are guaranteed to be notified but this notification will not be guaranteed to happen before the triggering cache operation completed
The only exception to that is if the listener node drops out of the cluster according to the owner of the entry which changed, or if the service for some reason dies on the listener node; about both you will get a notification so that you know that you are no more receiving events.
In both cases (sync/async) the entry owner notifies the node the listener is registered on, and I believe it will retry sending the event until it is ack-ed to be received. I don't know whether the ACK comes from the TCMP layer or from the particular service in the async case, I would guess the service.
The listener node will do duplicate detection on the delivered events per listener so that it will find out if it already invoked the listener once with the same event.
No transactions are provided for listeners, so even if an exception happens in a synchronous listener, it won't roll back the entry change.
For *Extend clients, I believe there are no guarantees for delivering events arriving while the client failed over after a broken connection.
For the staying connected case, and I don't know what the situation is, but I would expect synchronous listeners are not supported over *Extend, and async exactly one notification seems possible (again, while the client is connected), but I am not sure about this.

How to disable the "turn page" event triggered by the scroll/swipe function?

The problem is as follows.
The default behaviour of Acrobat Reader (both stand alone and browser plug-in) is to allow scrolling/swiping with the mouse wheel/trackpad. This is useful when the pdf's page length is greater than the screen's own length, because you can read the pdf with no need to distract your attention from the text to the scrollbar button. However, the same scroll/swipe function turns into a usability problem when the pdf is embedded in a html page and the pdf's page length is smaller than the browser's length. In this case, the scroll/swipe turns the page, distracting your attention from the text to the unintended behaviour of the browser. What happens is that you are so used to scrolling/swiping that you did it unintentionally in the pdf's caption area. You really did not want to turn pages in the pdf. Furthermore, if the pdf takes the whole html page, being a website, the scroll/swipe function flips the website pages in ways that neither the reader nor the writer had ever intended. Hence the question. How to disable, in this case, the "turn page" event triggered by the scroll/swipe function? A JavaScript should do, but the SDK documents did not help so far...

No calendar events in notification center (at all)

Hi,
Since I've updated to iOS 7 (I started with one of the betas), I've got no calendar events showing if I swipe down notification center.
It only shows a text saying "No activities", even though there are plenty of activities showing in my calendar app. I've restarted the phone (hard and soft), I've reset and restored the phone both from iTunes and iCloud. I've made sure that all settings that should be enabled are enabled. The weather and stock widgets are showing alright. I've tried to delete the google account I sync calendars with, and then readd it.
Yesterday I tried to restart from a factory reset. When I add the google account from a clean installation it works fine and I get calendar events in notification center. But I want to find another solution where I wont lose all my data (text messages, application data, settings, etc).
Is there anyone that has an idea on how I can fix this or if there is something else I can try?

It's not user adjustable. You'll need to use the Calendar app itself for more information.

How do I only have invited people receive the calendar notification for a shared calendar?

I work backstage for my school and me and the other techies set up a shared calendar (all of us can see, edit, and add events). But not everyone needs to go to each event. How can I make it so only the people that got invited revieve an alert (the in calendar thing to alert me say 15 minutes before the event)? as opposed to everyone the calendar is shared to.

Event triggered for checkbox in cl_gui_alv_grid

Hi All ,
I have a requirement like ,i give PO number on selection-screen.After execution, the items should be displayed on second screen ,which has some options on the top like before GR or after GR .(custom screen designed with cl_gui_alv_grid for display)
I desgined checkboxes for each row of the line item.user can click on multiple rows and click on EXECUTE button on the screen.After that smartform should trigger and print .
Now my query is how to capture the checkboxes which the user has entered (thru cl_gui_alv_grid) . Is there any event that gets triggered upon clicking the checkboxes?? I need the data of the corresponding row to process further .User can click on multiple items.

Hi Hemanth
You should have a field in your internal table matching the checkbox column in ALV.
Call method CHECK_CHANGED_DATA of CL_GUI_ALV_GRID on user command for execute button,
it will set the field = 'X' for ticked lines in your internal table.
Then use a loop on your internal table and find selected lines.
You don't need an event triggered when user clicks.

What "events" are you talking about? Post a VI that demonstrates the code that you have written so far.

Thanks for bringing these requests to our attention. We currently do not have support for these three types of email notifications. I will add them to our backlog and we will enable support for them soon.
Currently, we support email notifications only for replication issues. One example you can easily test is to Pause the replication of a virtual machine from the Hyper-V Manager UI. This should send an email notification.

Variable text is blank in emails when using Scheduled Task to email event log notifications

I am trying to use powershell to email notification when a user account gets locked. I am running the script from a server 2008 domain controller.
I have tried multiple scripts and I have the same issue every time. The script works fine when I run it directly from the powershell command line window.
However whenever I try running the exact same scripts from an event-triggered scheduled task, the script runs, however any content that generated from a variable is not added to the email. It is just left blank and ignored.
I have tried adding lots of permissions including domain administrator group membership to the account runs the task from and it doesn't include all the expected text unless I run it from the built-in domain administrator account.
The task runs and the email is sent, but the email is missing all the content generated by variables.
How can this be fixed?
Here is an example script.

By variable text I mean everything that it generates by using a variable such as the user's name ($LockedAccount)
and everything else such as $AccountLockOutEventTime and everything else that is generated from
a variable.
Nothing like that appears in the email only hard coded text.
I am not running it remotely. I am logged directly onto the domain controller and I tried giving
the account that is used to run the task more and more permissions including domain administrator group membership with the same result.
When I run the exact same script on the same domain controller locally via the powershell CLI all of the info appears.

ZCM 10.3.2, Windows XP/7, Novell Client installed, have a bundle associated to device and should be triggered at ZENworks logout. This all seems to work ok, in ordinary way. But, when user auth is ok with Novell Client (against eDir), but is not attached with DLU via ZEN and appear Windows Workstation login screen and user cancel this dialog and return to Novell Client login screen, then before mentioned bundle is triggered, in some unknown for me reason. Because there is no ZEN login, not speaking about logout. I have similar bundle set to trigger at user login ... it does not run same way. Also, don't see same behavior when bundle is set to run at user logout.
Any ideas?
Btw. this kind of cancelling login is seems to related to getting a'lot of Bundle.ItemCreationError's described in http://forums.novell.com/novell-prod...ionerrors.html.

Event triggering

Hi guys,
I created events in sm64. These events should start a process chain. However when I trigger them manually I do not get the event in the event history nor does my process chain start. Do I have to activate any other stuff for events?

Hi,
You need to assign the EVENT which you have created at the definition of the
Job scheduling for the process chain. you'll find the 'Event' assignment during
creating of the job..so, when ever your event triggers you job would get processed
which is in turn attached to your proces chain/info package.

Dear I am doing the following steps for Create a Subscription and Receive E-Mail Notifications
a) Choose Home u2192 Documentsu2192 Public Documents u2192 documentstest.
b) Open the Details page for the documents folder.
c) From the menu, choose Actions u2192 Subscribe.
d) From the menu, choose Actions u2192 Edit Subscription.
e) Change the Frequency to On Every Event.
f) Choose Update Subscription and close the window
However in the Universal Worklist (UWL) on the Notifications tab under Home u2192 Work u2192 Overview, I dont have notifications.
How can solve this issue?

We add the
delay for event operation.
It seems that we cannot receive data in time from the log, seems event6 was blocked for the Event5 delay, after the 12ms, we can receive event6 from the EventHub, and the Event6
delay is 40s(from the log, we send event6 to Hub at 35:10, but we get from Hub at 35:50),
So I wonder to know the maximum number of threads are working on processing fot the EventProcessorHost? Depends on the Partitions?
And is there any way to receiving events in time?

Hi Jordan
Since Task.Delay call blocks the callback, host won't hand over new events until you're done with the current batch. This is due to order guarantee of the events delivered, i.e. host should process the events in order from the same partition.
If event process is taking so long then you should consider to move process job into a separate thread so host can deliver new batch of events while thread is working on the previous batch.

Customers should receive event triggered notification.
