Custom objects can be defined as /BIC/Z*****
You have to contact SAP to get names space and you have to maintain it in BI system.. I don't have any idea how to configure and all.. but you can contact/Send a query to SAP. They will help and also provide you How to...!

Hi,
Local Objects are the Objects which are not transportable.They are saved in the server n we can't create a Tranport Request.
Development classes collect together development environment objects that can be considered as a unit and should therefore also be corrected and transported together. A development class can, for example, consist of a transaction or a group of related transactions.
You can say in simple word, Development class is like Folder which will have the collection of objects(Report, class etc) for a assigned Proejcts.
If you save objects in Local Class ,you are not able to transport from one system to another.If you save it into a Development Class ,you can transport objects from one system to another.

Missing Info Objects and Business Content in IDES ECC6 with BI7.0

Hi All,
I do not see most of info objects like 0COMP_CODE, 0BUS_AREA, 0RESP_PERS etc. and lot of objects missing in Business Content too.
I have IDES ECC6 with BI7.0.
Could someone please help me to retrieve those objects.

Thanks for the info. I am little confused. I thought i had full BW in my ECC6. What is the difference between ECC6.0 with BW and ECC6.0 with BW/BI7.0? BI7.0 has all business contents in it?
The IDES software has BW/BI 7.0 in it. That is what the person whi gave me told me. How can i verify that?
I have some knowledge of BW and i am trying to learn this new BW 7.0 on my own. Since it does not have BI content how can i proceed to learn on my own.

Customizing Transport Request Assignment process to Local Objects

Hi,
I am developing custom report, which will find out all dependent and local objects for given transport request. When we select the local objects and save, it has to show standard saving process screens...like package and TR screens.
I am trying the above problem using 'TRINT_TADIR_POPUP', 'TRINT_ORDER_CHOICE' and 'TRINT_APPEND_TO_COMM_ARRAYS' function module, but this function module 'TRINT_APPEND_TO_COMM_ARRAYS' giving exception ob_check_obj_error.
So, please let me know anyone have solution for assigning local objects to package and TR through customization (Programmatically).

For this function module ADD_TO_PACKAGE, I can't import package name or Transport Request.
I need to have a save screen's, which generally we get during saving of any R/3 Object.

Workbench requests and the tasks assigned to them are normally used to record changes to Repository objects and Customizing for all clients. However, you can also include client-specific Customizing.
Whether the changes to Repository objects are transported depends on whether a transport route is defined from the current SAP System for the package of these objects. From the system settings, the system automatically determines whether the change requests are transportable and to which target system they should be transported.

Creating Authorization Field as Local Object

I was creating new Authorization field and while saving, i was asked to save it as "Local Object"....
Can someone tell me what is meant by "Local Object" and what will be the benefits by doing so?

Hi,
Local Object means these Enhancement / Modification / Customization are not going to be included into any Package. Any change requests are of two types: Transportable or Local. If you decide not include your changes in any packages and thus not make this Transportable, i.e. the release and export phenomena will not be applicable there and you won't be able to create any task for a Local object.
Of course the authorization class, object and fields need to be moved through the Landscape and thus you need to include them into a Package. Preferably you should create a new Custom package (or may be already available) to move your changes though that package.

LOCAL OBJECT....

hi frnds,
i have assigned one enhancemnt to project. in that screen exit is stored as a local object and package name as ME and Owner is SAP. now i need to transport this to prodction. its not allowing to create the new request as well as changing the Package name.
except this screen exit, all other things.. like include tables and function exits are moved into prodcution.
points will be rewarded for helpful answers.

Hi KBS,
Please follow steps mentioned below
1. Go to transaction CMOD and enter your enhancement
   (Don't press enter or and any other function)
2. Now on the same screen i.e CMOD screen click on
   following standard menu path
     GO TO -> Object Directory Entry
3. On the pop window box..click on pencil icon to switch
   to change mode
4. Now change the directory from local to your package
5. It will ask for request while doing so...lock in some request and transport the same to production.

go to tx: se80
on left side select local objects
and give your login name
you will get list of objects saved locally by this login
to change package:
right click(context menu) on your object(program etc)->more functions->change package.

Use Shared Local Object with Javascript

I have to make a javascript component that have to take some
data from a Shared Local Object;What I have to do in order to use
the Shared Local Object in javascript? It maybe that I have to
create an ActionScript file in which I use the Shared Local Object
and than import that file in Js?

Assign a local object to a transport number

Hi mates,
I have created a structure and as I wanted to save a activate it I entered my transport number. However the system returned with the message "No suitable task available under request transport number xxxxxxxxx".
- Why this happened ?
- Can I save the structure under local objects and assign it to a transport afterwards if yes how can I do it ?

When you save an object, the transport layer it goes to (if any) is determined by the package. If you assign to package $tmp, you won't be asked for a transport.
If you assign to a package that is defined to use local, then the transport required will be a local one.
To transport the object to another system, you should assign it to a package that is defined to transport to the other system.
However, so long as an object is on a transport, when you release the tp, you can place the tp file at the OS level in the appropriate directory of the destination system, and simply add it to the import queue.

Hi,
I dont think this can be done through SE71.Please follow the following procedure.
First create a new Transport request in SE01.
Goto SE80-->Local objects
Here right click on your object name and reassign the package to your desired package name.
Here it will ask for the Request.Give your previously request here.
This will assign your form to the new request you created.

Local object in SMWO

Hi all,
    I import an Excel file using SWM0 and save it as local object. Now I want to transport this Excel file to QA environment, so I need to put this object into my own package, but I can't find it!
    In Tcode SWM0 , I can see this object, but there is no function to change package assign.
    In Tcode SE80, I choose local object and input my name but there is nothing in there.
    In Tcode SE03, I can't find my object in package $tmp either .....
What can I do !!!!!

Go to t code SE80 and there from the drop down menu click 'LOCAL OBJECTS' and in the below text box give the name of the user. It will display all the local objects created...
OR go to se11 give the table name "TADIR" and execute. In the devclass give the name $TMP and execute. It will show all the objects.
