Customise password reset e-mail

Hi,
My password reset functionality is working well. However the e-mail that it sends to the user with the new password does not look to good. Any idea how I can customise the appearance of this email?

Hi,
  There is no configuration option or direct way to customize this email. You can download the initial data files and extract initial_data7.xml from the zipped file. Open this file and search for MSGCODE="1056" and MSGCODE="1034". Once you find this lines, make the changes to the text after MSGDESC=" to the text you want. Upload this file back to CUP with 'clean and insert' option.
Other way would be to enter the text directly in VIRSA_AE_MESSAGE table.

    Welcome to the forums and thanks for joining the conversation! I am sorry to read you were having some troubles accessing your account due to not receiving our verification email for your BestBuy.com account.
    Previous customers have had success by simply using a different email address. I recommend checking your spam/junk folder as these emails can sometimes get automatically filtered there. In the event it wasn’t redirected to one of those folders, we would typically need to try a few other things to once again provide you with access to your account. However, it appears you may have received assistance with this already over the phone. Is this correct? If not, please let me know and I will continue to look into this for you further.

    Forgot my password for BB ID but when I go to reset it it, the e-mail that is sent to me does not include a link.  Instead of the link the following appears "body{font-family: 'Arial';}a{color:
    #00B0EB;}a:hover, a:visited:hover{color: #007399;}" 
    Is there any other way to reset my password?  I have e-mailed for a password reset over 10 times and I get the same e-mail every time.

  • Cannot receive Password reset's mails.

    My friend has a very weird problem. She forgot her password to Skype, so she tried to recover it by using "Forgot password" option. But she has a mail on wp.pl, and she doesnt receive any mails from Skype. She tried to recover her username, but that mail doesnt come as well. Is there any way to contact Skype staff directly?     If access to the account is lost, please tell your friend to create a new Skype account so they can contact Skype Customer Service directly themselves.
    Here is a link to the instruction on how to contact Skype Customer Service via their secure portal: Contact Customer Service
    They will need to proceed through each step, one at a time. Sign on to the Skype website as requested. Choose the subject and topic which most closely matches the item you need assistance with. Then, continue past Step 2 of the instruction where several articles from the FAQ library will appear for you to review, and proceed to Step 3, Continue Support Request (the blue "button" appears at the lower right corner of the website page). They may also skip through Step 4 where they will be referred back here to the Community; no need to do this as you asked on their behalf already. When they complete the webform and click Submit, the information is relayed to Skype and they will receive a reply via e-mail.

  • Reset my password via e-mail link and can't login

    It has been awhile since I've used spotify and I didn't remember my password so I requested a password reset e-mail. After following the link and picking my new password it automatically logged me in. I wanted to make sure that the password worked so I could try to login to spotify on my phone. At this point the website refused to let me login with my password claiming it was incorrect. I tried to reset my password one more time and it again refused to let me login using my password. Can anyone offer any help?

    Hi I need help logging into Spotify with email.  I have spotfity on my computer and when I reset my password, it won't let me login. I keep getting this error message " The username or password is incorrect" I reset my password again and it still keeps giving me that error message.     Did you try deleting the mail account, then adding it back?   I've read a lot of times that is what needs to happen in order for it to work properly.

When I try retrieving my new Apple password through reset through security questions?  On the Apple id, it will not allow me to do so becasue I forgot my security answers to the question. I'm naming one or two of the wrong vechiles which is what the questions ask me for for security questions.
    For icloud do you reccommend that I keep that same E-mail address or create a new one for my iCloud mail aside from my G-mail address name?
    I asked support community for the very first time to reset my security questions and it wanted me to create a new user name for iCloud when I already have *****l for my original Apple id.

    Hi Gail it is a separate apple id used on my old iphone. I now have a new appleid and password which is functioning though the new phone is bringing up my old apple ID

    have being using a domain e mail for 5 years as of yesterday I can no longer login under this e mail. What has changed. it was working on tablet and cell phone but when I did a password reset on desktop they are not working.  How do you do a password reset if you can not get to the email

    Mail for what? iCloud? Go to iForgot.apple.com.
    Mail for Mobileme? Same as above.
    Gmail, Hotmail, AOL, etc. will all be supported by those respective email service providers. They have password reset options on their respective websites.
    If you could be more specific, you can get more direct advice.

    If they forget their passwords to their iTunes accounts then they should be able to reset it by going to http://iforgot.apple.com or to http://appleid.apple.com and 'reset your password' - on that site, after entering their iTunes account id, they can either reset the password by answering their security questions and date of birth that they have on the account, or they can get a reset email sent to their account's primary email address (rescue email address if they have one on the account).

    If they can't get it reset via that site then they will need to contact Support here in the UK (as they are here in the UK), which will be by phone as they will need to confirm their id and that it's their account : http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT5699#U
    After resetting the password they may then need to log out of the account on the iPad by tapping on the id in Settings > iTunes & App Store (tapping on the id should give a popup with one option being 'sign out'), and then log back in with the new password - that is to 'refresh' the account on it so that it knows about the new password (otherwise they might get 'invalid password' errors when trying to do anything in the stores).
