its so easy you can customize it by editing the logon.jsp file which reside in
$TOMCAT/webapps/businessobjects/enterprise115/desktoplaunch/InfoView/logon/logon.jsp
edit this jsp,, but take care of the business objects code there
good luck

  • Infoview logon page redirect to a report

    Hello,
We are running BO XI 3.1 SP3 FP3.2.
What we would like to do is : When we go on the infoview logon page, once the user has clicked on the logon buton, instead of going to his home page is showing a specific report.
I think this is possible going into the jsp files of the infoview app, but we did not find where and how it could be done.
Could you please help us ?
This is needed because with the report we will show, all user will see information that the BO/BI team want to show them.
    Thank you in advance.

    Hello,
What you're describing is considered to be customization of Infoview. Customizing Infoview is not supported. It might be possible to achieve your goal, but it would probably be very difficult. Infoview and the other Enterprise applications are considered shipped products.
Keep in mind that if you find a solution any changes might be overwritten when you apply a patch or service pack. Be sure to keep good notes so that you can go back and recreate the change if necessary.

  • Adding a button/link in the portal logon page

    Hi,
I am new to the portal related things. I am a web dynpro developer and familiar with the Java coding.
Now, i got a requirement to modify the portal logon page as below:
Need to insert one extra button/hyper link to reset the password.
when user clicks on this button, i need to call an RFC in R/3 by passing the entered user name. That RFC will generate a new password and send a mail to the respective email address(maintained in a custom table in R/3 itself).
If the user-id is wrong i need to show the error message returned from the RFC.
If the return-code of RFC is success, then need to show an information message conveying that the password reset was successful and refer to your mail inbox.
Please suggest me the best approach on this scenario.
I already imported the PAR file for logon page and can see the project in NWDS.
Note: we are using EP 7, NW2004s and R/3 is ECC 5.0
    Thanks & Regards,
    Kiran Chennapai

The Funktion Prem is suggesting can be turned on/off through the UME Properties which can be changed through the Config Tool.

  • Best way to handle calling the EP logon page

I would like to be able to handle the following:
    1. Start EP in anonymous/guest mode (basically unauthenticated).
    2. Present an iview that allows a user to fill in some information but when he/she clicks on a button it would first check if the user is logged on and if not -- call up the EP logon page/self registrtion page.  After logging in/self-registrating, the iview would continue processing.
What is the best way to handle this?

    Hi,
You have to download the com.sap.portal.logon standar "par" and modify the jsp file to simplify the logon page (maybe only input fields for user and password).
then upload the new .par file to the portal and update the authschems.xml file to redirect the default method to the new ".par".
You can insert an "enter" button in the home page that launh a pop up to a dummy page with property "default" authentication scheme. Automatically the Portal shows you in the little pop up the simplyfied login page to insert login data. The dummy page need to redirect the parent page to the portallauncher component and close itself.

  • I do a search. I click on one of the results. Upromise open up with a "Continue" or "Log In". I click on "Continue" and it goes to the Upromise logon page. It used to take me to the site I selected.

It's been doing this for the last month or so. I just discovered that I don't have to hit the "Continue" button. After a couple of seconds it pops over to a weird Upromise log on page. It's the below info and it's all in the upper left corner of the page.

  • Customising the pages of BI4 launchpad

    Dear experts,
Do you have any idea of customising the existing JSP pages and reflect to the BI4 Launch Pad? for example, I add a new link to this jsp file:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\Tomcat6\webapps\BOE\WEB-INF\eclipse\plugins\webpath.InfoView\web\jsp\listing\main.jsp
But still no change in the head of the Launchpad. Thanks a lot.
    Best regards,
    Davy

    Dear Davy and Sonia,
I am faily new to customising web files. Can you please suggest what exact changes needs to be made in the custom.jsp file? I did a quick test by typing my name in the <Title> /<Title>. Tried the same in the <Head> section but saw no changes when I opened my BI Launch Pad. I did restart Tomcat after the changes too. Any suggestions might be very helpful. We would like to do changes like Logo, Environment Names, Changing the BOBJ Blue Color ribbon in the top to a different color for each env, etc....
    Thanks

  • Bypass INfoview Login Page

    Hi
We have enabled Single Sign On for Windows NT Authentication. (.Net environment and Windows2003 server, BO XIR2)
I was wondering if there is any way to bypass the infoview login page so that user does not need to select the windows NT authentication and is directly taken to his or her home page.

The Steps to Bypass the infoview login page are as follows :
    Enable NT Authentication
    1. Start the Crystal Enterprise Launchpad.
    2. Click 'Central Management Console'.
    3. From the Central Management Console (CMC), click 'Authentication'
    4. In the 'Windows NT' tab, ensure that the 'NT Authentication is enabled' check box is selected.
    5. Ensure you have configured the default domain and add the groups you want to give access to.
    NT Authentication is now enabled.
    Disable anonymous access
    1. On your web server computer, go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Internet Services Manager. The 'Internet Information Services' dialog box appears.
    2. Click the '+' sign next to the computer icon to expand the view.
    3. Click the '+' sign next to the 'Default Web Site' to expand the view.
    4. Right-click the Default web site folder and then click 'Properties'
    5. Click the 'Directory Security' tab and then click the 'Edit' button in the 'Anonymous access and authentication control' section. The 'Authentication Methods' dialog box appears.
    6. Clear the 'Anonymous access' check box.
    7. Repeat the above steps for your application's virtual folder.
    Anonymous access is now disabled.
Enable impersonation in your .NET application
    \Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 11.5\Web Content\Enterprise11\InfoView
Once the web.config file is open, use the following steps to modify this file:
    1. In the <WebDesktopSettings> section, change the following values to reflect you installation:
    <add key="cmsDefault" value="CMSMachineName" />
    <add key="ssoEnabled" value="true" /> (changed from "false")
    <add key="authenticationDefault" value="secXXXXXXX" /> (i.e. secWinAD for Windows Acitve Directory)
    2. In the <system.web> section, find the authentication section and modify the following line:
    From: <authentication mode="None" />
    To: <authentication mode="Windows" />
    3. Add the following key before the "<authentication mode="Windows" />"
    <identity impersonate="true" />
Restart the IIS server for the effects to work , also make sure the servername is added in the trusted sites
And now use the following link:

  • Error on Portal Logon Page

    Hi Experts,
We are getting exception while calling the Portal URL.
Recently, we changed the password policy and made some customizations on the com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par file.
After that when I tried to access the Logon page, it gave an exception.
I even replaced the customized logon par file with the original one but it did not help.
Please note that I deployed the logon par file with the same name, so I did not have to make any changes in the authschemes.xml file.
So ideally when I replaced the customized PAR file with the original one, it should have worked out.
Can it be because of some UME property "Password Policy change" or something like that which has been changed by our Basis team  in the Config tool and which is creating issues now.
Is there any connection between the UME property and the Portal Logon page? I know that UME comes into picture once the user clicks on Login button after entering the login credentials but does it also come in picture at the portal logon page call?
We are not able to trace out the root cause as both Password Policy Change and deployment of PAR was done parallely due to which we are confused about the cause of the issue.
Please find below the trace against the exception ID:

    Hi,
Check if your portalapp.xml has an entry "<property name="ClassName" value="com.sapportals.portal.ume.component.logon.SAPMLogonComponent"/>"
If it is there, then I feel that this is an issue with jar files not getting imported properly.
Just try including these two jars (umlogonbase.jar and com.sap.portal.runtime.logon_api.jar) from
    usr\sap\J2E\JC00\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\WEB-INF\portal\portalapps\com.sap.portal.runtime.logon\lib
and copy manually to the lib folder under PORTAL-INF in your project.
    Regards,
    Vijay.

  • How to set the default start page (login) of apex itself?

    Hi!
I've successfully upgraded from 3.2 to 4.0! I'm using the pl/sql embedded gateway.
When I enter the url http://s01:8081/apex I get an error (page cannot be displayed (404)). But when I enter http://s01:8081/apex/f?p=4550:1:1481295403790110 the apex logon page appears and everything works well.
For testing I turned on debug logging and entered again http://s01:8081/apex
The trace file contains the following logging entries:
    *** 2010-12-17 14:30:25.825
    *** SERVICE NAME:(SYS$USERS) 2010-12-17 14:30:25.824
    *** SESSION ID:(133.21643) 2010-12-17 14:30:25.824
Embedded PL/SQL Gateway: (null) HTTP-404 No procedure specified to run
Embedded PL/SQL Gateway: (wpu.c,626) longjumping back to the beginning
Embedded PL/SQL Gateway: (wpu.c,488) cleaning up before longjmp
Embedded PL/SQL Gateway: (wpu.c,513) in init state
Embedded PL/SQL Gateway: (wpx.c,688) Shutdown has been called
How can I solve this issue?
    Thanks
    Markus

    Hi!
    Thanks for your reply!
I'm using apex 4.0 on oracle 10.2.0.4 enterprise edition with the embedded pl/sql gateway. I've to instances on this server (dev and prod). The development instance works without any problems.
    The query returns:
ORA-24231: Database Access Descriptor (DAD) APEX not found
    ORA-06512: in "SYS.DBMS_SYS_ERROR", line 86
    ORA-06512: in "SYS.DBMS_EPG", line 58
    ORA-06512: in "SYS.DBMS_EPG", line 299
After googling or searching on metalink for the error message I'm redirected to oracle documentation which tells me the reason for the error but nothing about to correct it - that's why I love oracle documentation so much...
Cause: The specified Database Access Descriptor (DAD) did not exist.
Action: Make sure the name of the Database Access Descriptor (DAD) is correct and the DAD exists.
    Thanks
    Markus

  • Logon page modication preview works but errors when assigned to Authscheme or as appication alias or both

    Hello Experts,
Our portal is being upgraded from 7.01 to 7.31 SPS 10, we have a customized logon module and are trying to migrate this application.  As part of migration, we followed below steps -
    1. Convert the par to ear using Par conversion Tool
    2. Import into Java EE perspective of NWDS 7.31
    3. Migrated the project to Java EE
    4. Corrected jar class library from 7.31 except com.sap.security.core.imp.TenantFactory, which is not available in 7.01 or 7.31
    5. Updated application.xml and application-j2ee-engine.xml as suggested in site with context_root and dependency on om.sap.portal.runtime.login6. Tried to deploy to server, the ear file got deployed
    7. Previewed and the application was showing coming well with customizations
    8. Logged into nwa/auth and edited ume.logon.application.ui_resources_alias to point to alias defined in the application.xml
    9. Result:all logon related screens were coming as blank, logon was not possible from any of the links - irj/portal, nwa etc
    10. Tried restarting, modifying authschemes along with editing the ume property. All combinations were tried but no luck.
I have done some investigation on internet, and have seen replies that all the JSP errors need to be resolved to get through the blank logon pages, but I still have 340 erorrs and out of which 320 are JSP erros on variables from <include> text files, more or less NWDS errors. and remaining 20 are related to com.sap.security.core.imp.TenantFactory. There seems to be no scope to clear these errors as these seems to be eclipse compilation realted or getting an library file which is not existing in 7.01 or 7.31.
Any inputs from your side on this situation on in general migration of logon pages to 7.3X would be helpful?

  • How to create a Dynamic Logon pages for a portal.

    Hi all ,
Is it possible to create a dynamic logon pages for a portal. My requirement is when ever we enter the Portal url in the browser we will get logon page ..now when we reenter the Portal link the logon page should change. is it possible .
    thanks
    Rajeev.

    Hi Rajeev,
Your requirement isn't very clear here.
Do you meant that is userA is trying to logon, he must see different logon pages at different tims he tries to logon?
Thanks  Hermann, I too was thinking about the same...just need to have some clarity on what really needs to be achieved.  Also unless the whole logon page needs to be different then cookies are best -- if its just some images then some javascript would be good enough.
    Thanks,
    GLM
