Customised field at WBSE

Hi,
we have requirement of adding few customised fields in Basic data tab of WBSE. is this advisable to change SAP screen.
We need to update this data at 1st level WBSE and its required to flow to all below level WBSEs. whether its achievable, if yes please hint on this.
We want to have these fields with multiple selection type; like in one field we can select more than one value at a time.

to my knowledge, only organizational data's can be copied to subordinate WBSE while creating, but i dont think the system will automatically copies the custome field. This can be achievable using substitutions, but it will copy during save.
We want to have these fields with multiple selection type; like in one field we can select more than one value at a time.
May be you should check with your ABAPer whether multiple values can be assigned to a single field.

You can find enhancement in me28 by following steps and then apply your logic in include of this enhancement.
cmod>Give a project name>in enhancement column give the package name ME >f4>in package write ME-->ENTER>It will show you all enhancements available in me28> find which ever suits your requirement>save > click on components> from there you can make changes in include program.to add that particular field.

I have found the module to implement. But i met with one problem which is I edit the data for customise field, and modify the table xbseg. I don't know why until the point which it is needed to cast it to the screen, the data that i derived for my customise field is being deleted. Any idea why is it so?

How to save customised fields in standard table MARA by using MM17

I have customised fields in MARA table. I want to save the data in database by using Mass transaction MM17. Can any one can give the solution.

Customised Field in Purchase Requisition

Our requirement is to have a 4 digit departmental section (0001 - Finance dept, 0002 - HR dept, etc) in the Purchase Requisition line item (Table EBAN), there is no such field in standard SAP.
How to add this addiitonal customised field to Purchase Requisition document (table eban) so that we can enter the data in create/change PR transaction - ME51N or ME52N??

Ading new customised field in Assessment

Hi,
I have created one customised field through transaction code OXK3. This field is for location. We used this field with the combination of cost center or profit center so that number of profit center & cost center is reduced as the same structure of cost & profit center is repeated 8-9 times for location purpose.
Now the question is when we do the allocation of common cost through assessment / distribution. This location field is not there.
So I will not be able to make use of this field & allocation will be incorrect.
Is there any way out for this. Can we add one field as sender & receiver in assessment cycle screen .

Book of Business - Customising Fields

I am setting up a set of books and am trying to find a way to customise a couple of fields to make the structure self-explanatory. The fields are 'Book Type' and 'Book User Role'! I can find information saying that this can done but not how it is done! Can anyone help?

Go to Admin, then click on Application Customization, then click on Book under Record Type Setup, then click on Book Field Setup.

Logical DataBase PNP - Adding customised Field

How do everyone,
I have recently added a new field to the HR master infotype 0001.
How does one include this new field within the locgical database i.e. PNP, PNPCE
so that it is automatically included in the report selection screen??
Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Hi,
You want to display data from 3 different tables , but this can only be shown in one list using F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST, Such that you can have columns from all the three tables in that list.
You can do this in the event POV for that field.

Delta enabling for Customised fields

Hi All,
We have customixed info object - 'Subscriber'(ZSUBSCRIB) for 2lis_11_vahdr data source. This field (ZZKZ4 - partner for the contract) is manual input for a Contract in VA42 Tcode. The delta load in BW does not capture changed values for this field. The changed record for this is getting transferred to BIW from ECC by repair full update only. The mentioned field is updated by direct assignment from ECC.
Also I have checked in the RSA2 Tcode in ECC system; for the data source 2LIS_11_VAHDR; the check box is ticked for this field (ZZKZ4) in the column Not transferred to Extractor. Is this affecting the changed records for this field to be transffered by delta.
Request you to let us know if the delta capability can be utilized to update this record in BIW system.

please remove this tick for this field (it causes field's value not to be forwarded to extractor)
In which table you have added new field ? if this is in any table which extractor refers (like vbrp) delta will work for change in that field

E7-00 Contacts - customising field names

With previous Nokia phones I have been able to create names against phone numbers, necessary when I may have 6 or more phone numbers for one contact.
It seems impossible to do this with the E7-00, so I now have a list of phone numbers per contact and no way of telling the difference between each number.
If anyone has found a way of adding custom label names against each phone number I would appreciate hearing about it.

I am reluctant to create a new contact for each person. I have several hundred contacts, so it would take a long time to do. If that is the only solution I may have to, unwillingly, look for another phone that offers the required functionality. But there are not too many that offer a full qwerty keyboard like the E7-00.
I was not aware of 'Contacts_BackEXT' by RYOSOFTWARE. Nor was I aware that PC Suite/Nokia Suite backups did not save field labels. So this could be really helpful. Previously I have used infra-red or bluetooth to transfer data to a new phone and have never had to restore from a backup, so never had reason to know of the issue.
Information on my-symbian suggest I may have a compatibility problem with 'Contacts_BackEXT' as the phone where I currently have the field labels is a Nokia 9300i and is not apparently supported. But I will investigate further.

Customisable field entry

I'm trying to add a mass entry to a PDF. The field will be for the name of a licensee. Currently to add it means opening up the PDF using InDesign etc. Does anyone know of any software/route to changing various fields but without it being a field that can be changed by the end user.

Customise Input field in PR & PO

I have this requirement for creating a customised field in PR (with some validation) and the value in this field need to be automatically copied to PO during PO creation (with reference to the PR).
How to make this work and how to go about it?

At first identify the screen on which the field need to be updated.
Then contact your ABAPer and inform him the table in which the value need to be updated.
There are different customer exits available for the transaction ME51N.
Find a suitable exit and proceed for validation of the same.
As you want the same field to be copied to PO , repeat the first two steps once again for PO.
