Customizatio in ESS

Hi Experts,
I am workin on the ESS Customizations. So I have deployed the following applications in EP server and configured the JCO connection in portal. Able to access the ESS package through portal.
1、BPERP4ESS_).sca
2、PCUIGP004_0-20000568.sca
3、ESS04_0-10002965.sca
Then i have imported the ESS04_0-10002965.sca package into NWDI track and imported the following .SCA files as dependencies in the same NWDI track.
PCUIGP004_0-20000568.sca
EPBUILDT.sca.
Then i have imported this track in to NWDS.
In the "Working Time" process i need to add one more page to customize that process. When i go through that process related application in NWDS. I have found that, it is interally using the following another webdynpro component to display the respective process related page.
pcui_gp/xssfpm(FloorPlan Manager)
pcui_gp/xssutils(FPMUtils)
But i am not able to find any related dc for the above above given components. Is this above components related dc's are available in "ESS*.SCA" file . I need to import another SCA file to see the source of the above applicaiton.
Please let me know the above related components source is available in which SCA files.
Do i need to import any other .SCA files to see the source code.

thanks for your valid points .
I have already explain to u my alalysis of the component which i am working on .
So i found those dc and application but-> In NWDS when opend that dc and applicaton.-> this application is refering the Component in PCUI software component following related dcs.
So coming to u point , u are saying that , i cannot modify any thing in the following components.
pcui_gpxssfpmsap.com (FPM web dynpro component)
pcui_gpxssutilssap.com (FPM utilities)
If the related content is available in the above dc's to customize according to my requirements. then what is the other way to customize the things.
Like i will expalin u, my requirement like.
When click on available link urder the working time. -> Record woking time"-> The page which is displaying as landing page". I need to skip that as landing page. I need to introduce my own customize page as landing page on clik of "Recording working time" . From my "Custom page by selecting some data i need to go the available standard page.
So, All that above changes, how it will be possible with out modifying the above dc contents.
Please correct me if i am wrong , put me in right direction.

Hi Experts of ESS and MSS,
I am having one typical situation for the new EP installation.
the thing is my client is using ESS and MSS on ITS Server of 640(its an earlier SAP release configurations) now as part of the upgrade project we are going to install new EP7.0 system as per the requirement for the SRM7.0 upgrade.
Now my question is we can install the Business Package ESS and MSS On EP7.0 but how can i import the customizing objects or customizing contents of 640 ESS to EP7.0 ESS.
is there any way to do that? or is there any way to upgrade the Exising 640 ESS with EP7.0?
or the developers have to perform the customizatio part again in EP7.0 ESS.?
Please do let me know how can i proceed further?

I often create reports in ABAP HR and display them in ESS (ITS) .
But this time , report is not displaying the contents of internal table .I have first time used BAPIs to pass the values to internal table .
Is it the reason ??

Error while accessing a service in ESS

Hi All,
I have uploaded a PDF file in KM, i have created KM document iview for that, in portal content when i triying to priview this iview it is getting opened. I have assigned this as link in in ESS but when i am trying to access this link i am getting an error "Page Cannot be Displayed", when i check the log file i am getting some error.

Earlier we have EP 7 with SP14, at that time link was working fine, later due to some problem we have undeployed and redeployed ESS/MSS - BP and upgraded SP14 to SP18 now we are facing this error, can you just help me out solving this issue.

Error while selecting the Leave type in ESS portal

Dear Team,
One of the employee is trying to select a type of leave in ESS portal, system is giving error message as "Access is Denied" at the left hand corner of the screen. When i am checking it in Quality it is working fine.

Not able to view any data in ESS 6.0 on EP7.0

Hi I have installed my ESS 6.0 business package SP 11 on SAP Netweaver portal 7.0 sp 11,ECC6.0.
For the Configuration of ESS,I used the pdf Configuring the Business Package for ESS-mySAPERP 2004 by sidhartha jain.
But now when I am clicking on any icon under ESS on portal,After initial screens,I am not able to get any further screen to enter the data.
For eg:-Employee Slef Service->Employee Search->Change own data.I dont get any screen at this stage.
I have checked all the steps thoroughly.My JCo connections are working fine.
Everything is right except this problem.
Can anybody please help me on this?

You are right.I have installed the ESS6.0 SP11.But in this stack,some of the components deployed with warning.
one component tc/sl.ut.content.erp.xss'/'sap.com'/'MAIN_ERP05PAT_C'/'2432982'/'0 has given the error at the time of deployement.

Can't see the ESS Additional Personal Data link within Personal Information

Hi All,
For some reasons, I can not see the Additional Personal Data link within the ESS Personal Information iView. I have checked the Homepage framework and the existence of the iView in the PCD and everything appears to be fine.
Do I need to assign any additional infotype to my id or give myself specific authorisations to see this link?
I would really appreciate if you could provide an answer to my query.

Hi,
I think mostly you have maintained the data in PA30 Transaction and had data in Info type 0105.
After this try to check with your EA-HR patch and SAP HR patch in the services. If both are not maintained at the same patch levels such type of problems will occur.

paguei 150 R$ e quando coloco pra carregar ele aparece que ta carregando mais ele so diminui a bateria
dai voltei a usar o cabo que tava dando erro que era o que veio nele.
dai ele so carrega desligado so carrega até 36% e demora muito, preciso de ajuda rapido e pra piorar meu pai nem sabe ele disse que se eu quebra meu iphone(se der defeito) ele ia brigar cmg e eu nao posso ficar sem esse aparelho ja tentei restaurar e nao tive sucesso pro favor me ajudem rapido

No Reply Function in ESS Business Workplace for SAP Mail

Hi ESS Experts,
We sent a short message using ESS Business Workplace. The receiver of the message was able to read the message but is not able to reply to it. We need to make sure this is not just a settings issue since replying to short message is allowed in R/3 Business Workplace. Is this expected behavior? Is there a way to enable a reply for ESS Business Workplace?

RFC Call Error - from Portal End - For ESS Personal Information service

I am getting "Syntax error in program SAPLHRXSS_PER_MAC                       ., error key: RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE " error Message on the portal (ESS--->Personal Information Screen).
When I did RFC trace analysis (using ST 22) this is what i get.
Can you let me know what could be the issue.
We are running HR Backend(Support Pack 15,ecc 5.0).
Portal (EP 6.0 SP19, ESS 100 (SP 10)).

          This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.

The error is occuring in the program file SAPLHRXSS_PER_MAC.
In program "SAPLHRXSS_PER_MAC ", the following syntax error occurred
in the Include "IF_HRPA_PERNR_INFTY_XSS=======IU " in line 114:
"The type "HRXSS_PER_SUPPLD_SUBTY_INFO_T" is unknown."
Information on where terminated
    The termination occurred in the ABAP program "SAPMSSY1" in
     "REMOTE_FUNCTION_CALL".
    The main program was "SAPMSSY1 ".
This place where it has terminated is highlighted in bold letters.

PZ11 - REM Statement in HTML format in ESS

Hi
Can we display the Remuneration statement in HTML format instead of the PDF format in ESS? If yes, how do we do that ?
Currently our system is converting the smart_form to PDF and displaying in the PDF through PZ11 transaction.

You need to call BAPI BAPI_GET_PAYSLIP_HTML (FM) to meet your business requirement.
The conversion from ABAP-listobject to HTML will be done via function module WWW_HTML_FROM_LISTOBJECT
Also please notice: Note 425548 says that we must "adapt our list" so that it's layout is
similar to an HTML table. The ESS documentation for renumeration statement says that if we change the form we must also change the HTML templates. The HTML appears to be generated from the form by a "converter routine". Documentation refers to templates HR_PAY_PAYSLIP and HR_PAY_PAYSLIP_PAGE for building the renumeration statement. using SMW0 to see them.

Ess Tab is not getting displayed?

         Configuring ESS.
          Through SDM , i have deployed all the packages, including BUSINESS PACKAGES, SAP ESS, SAP MSS, SAP PCUI. After deploying everything , i am not getting Employment Self Services Tab in the portal as i logged in as administrator.
              Only Content Administration,User administration,System Administration,Delegated user administration getting displayed.
           Is it some patch to be deployed or any authorization problem.
           Kindly give me your valued solutions to solve this problem.

Quota overview is not being displayed in ESS Working Time

Hi All,
Please provide a solution for this below mentioned query.
Quota overview(Absence Entitlements) can be seen in the R/3 for an employee but same(Quota Overview), list of all the leave entitlements cannot be seen in the ESS. There is a message being displayed "There are no customizing settings for ongoing requests for employee No:****". What customizing settings is he talking about?

R u sure the Absence that is available in infotype 2006 is valid.Do try to create a fresh quota if you have changed the grouping in between,.

Address iView not getting displayed in ESS

Hello Everyone,
When I am logging into ESS with an User of SAP systen, I am unable to see the Address iView of the corresponding employee to whom the user is assigned.A number of iViews is getting displayed for different countries but I am unable to get the iView which I am looking for.Even when I am clicking on the iViews which are getting displayed no data is getting displayed.I am using country grouping 40 i.e India.I have also set the parameter in the User profile(UGR 40 and UCN IN).
Also for some of the links, when I click them the page is getting refreshed continuously without any display.Bu twhen I am tyring the view the same using the PZ screens it is coming properly.
Please let me know what settings are required to get the proper iView.

Go to the portal->content administration->webdynpro and see in the left pane where all the deployed applictions will get displayed.You can chekc the same thru SDM also.
For deployment, you can download the .SCA file from the service market place and deploy it thru SDM.

Validity option not getting displayed in Bank Information ESS

Hi Experts,
Can you please advise how to enable the validity option in the screen for bank bank information. Currently ESS->Personal Profile->Bank Information->Add other bank there is no option to specify the date range eg : create a bank record for a future dated record ( screen shot attached). My understanding is this option is part of the standard and should come towards the bottom of the screen.
I have checked the FPM_FORM_UIBB->HRESS_CC_PER_DTL_BANK_AU and it seems all okie. Can you please advise.Your help is highly appreciated.
