I try it with 'Adobe Customization Wizard 11' but i don't know where it is ON by default
Is anyone know how to "suppress / turn off with Customization Wizard ?
Can i turn OFF "Line Weights" by the REGedit or DirectEditor ?

  • How to suppress line #s fr. rows in SPOOL output file when I use GET

I'm having difficulty suppressing line #s which show up in my SPOOL output. That is, when I run the following
    SPOOL MySpoolOutputFile.txt
    GET SpoolHeader.txt LIST
where MySpoolOutputFile is my spool output destination and SpoolHeader is what I'm getting and displaying in the console.
I get a result like the following:
1 This is my first row
2 This is my second row
3 This is my third row
4 This is my fourth row
5 This is my fifth row
I have my environmental variables set to the following:
    SET FEEDBACK OFF
    SET TRIMSPOOL ON
    SET LINESIZE 100
    SET SQLNUMBER OFF
    SET SQLPROMPT ''
I'd like to suppress the line numbers but can't find any other SQL*PLUS environment variable that seems to let me do this....
Thanks, in advance, for any advice!

This is however not resulting in the desired result.
Your quick assistance will be much appreciated.
    Thanks
    Jacques

    Hi Jaques,
    you have 2 options.
1st is to display all the items in the OITM that meet your requirement
to achieve this pls. follow this one.
    1. from you CR IDE goto Reports -->> Select Expert -->> Record
    2. the formula workshop opens, then put this formula
    {OITM.QryGroup63} = 'Y'
    3. save
    4. view the report
    5. done
2nd is to set the supress formula
for the suppress, follow this steps
    1. from your CR IDE select the Itemcode Field in your report
    2. right click select format field
    3. Goto Commong Tab
    4. press the x+2 button next to Supress

  • Line weights, dpi in Illustrator to Photoshop illustration work

I'm creating illustrations in Illustrator then importing the line art into Photoshop to add color to the drawings. The client needs 2 versions - first a tif, 3" x 3" then a .gif 225 pixels. They've asked for fairly detailed drawings and I'm finding details getting lost - even at .25 line weight in Illustrator, once in Photoshop they get jaggedy and I lose detail.
Can someone advise on best line weight to use for this situation, and best way to import into Photoshop and keep smoothness of lines. Thanks to all respondents -
    Leslie

Any line which isn't truly horizontal or vertical will be jagged in Photoshop. That's the nature of raster images. The further from horizontal or vertical, the closer together the "stair steps" will be, and the more apparent, relative to other lines in the same image.
I'm not sure how Photoshop handles line weights when you import Illustrator art, but I'd guess it calculates how many pixels are required at the current resolution to make that dimension, then rounds to the nearest or next whole pixel.
You didn't say what resolution you are using for the 3 x 3 tiff, but the higher it is (and consequently more pixels and larger file), the better your lines will render. As for the gif, you have what you have, in terms of pixels to use, and the art will be rendered the best possible, but a .25 pt line is pretty small if you are saying that 255 pixels represents more than a few picas.

  • How to suppress bars on chart and customize legend text

I am new to Crystal Reports and have a couple of questions about bar charts.  I am using Crystal Reports XI Release 2 with Developer Studio 2005 (C# .NET) and SQL Server.
I have a very simple report that sums up the values of 14 different database columns.  There is a also a bar chart to display the summed values.
    My questions are:
    1.  Based on some user preferences, I may not want to display all 14 values.  I found how to Suppress fields on the report, but cannot figure out how to prevent them from appearing in the bar chart as well.
    2.  Can I customize the names of the bars in the legend?
Any help will be great appreciated!

Please re-post if this is still an issue to the .NET Development - Crystal Reports Forum or purchase a case and have a dedicated support engineer work with you directly

  • How do I set a PDF Export Preset to force a minimum line weight on output?

How do I set a PDF Export Preset to force a minimum line weight on output?  I'm currently using one that came from a printer that works great - but I can't seem to find the option when creating one myself.  I have some placed Illustrator line art that is built with .25 line thickness and when I have it placed at 20% scale the lines are too thin to see in the PDF output.

There is absolutely no way to force minimum line widths within InDesign itself, certainly not as part of the PDF export process!! And even one writes a script to go through every object within an InDesign document and both validate and fix line widths less than some particular threshold, such a script would be useless against placed artwork, the contents of which are not available for manual or programmatic inspection within InDesign.
Note that one should be exceptionally careful in “fixing” hairlines, especially if you are placing vector artwork at very low magnification. It may actually be OK to let certain lines drop out. After a fixup on some content, you could end up with a messy mass of lines.

  • How to transfer Line Items

    Hi
How to transfer Line Items from One GL account to another GL account.
We, at the time of changing Non Open Item Manged account to Open Item Manged account, how can we transfer Line items to make this GL account Zero, If suppose line items are more than 200.
    Satish
    Points assured.

If you are attempting to change the account from Non Open Item managed,  you need to make the account balance zero. The change will be be effective only for future transactions. You need not transfer all line items,  find the balance and  make an  entry to debit or credit to make it zero, to a temporary account. Later, once you have activated, you can reverse that transaction.
The OSS 606977 refered may be helpful if you are looking for reverse activation. i.e from Open to Non Open. Here is a brief:
    Symptom
In the G/L account master record, you can activate/deactivate the 'Open item management' indicator if the balance of the account is zero. In this case, the system does not check whether postings exist on the account.
If postings exist, this could lead to problems, for example, if the clearing is reversed after the change to the indicator is made.
    Other terms
    FS00, FS02, FSS0, FS02, FH190, XOPVW
    Reason and Prerequisites
The transactions for the maintenance of the G/L account master record did not check whether postings exist on the account. Now the program checks whether postings exist in the current year or previous two fiscal years.
    Solution
Implement the attached correction or import the corresponding Support Package. Since it could make sense to change an account with balance zero from open item managed to non-open item managed (and vice versa) - despite postings to the account - the message is delivered as customizable (with error as a default setting).
The check is also carried out, when open-item management is activated, is postings exist on the account.
If you implement the note you must also carry out the following:
Use Transaction SE91 to create message 190 in message class FH with the following text:
Account balance = 0; however, postings exist on the account
Use Transaction SM30 to insert the following entry into view T100S:
    Application area   FH
    MsgNo              190
    Allowed            EW
    Standard          E
Afterwards, the message can be customized in View V_T100C. To do this, you can use Transaction OBA5.

Portal 7.3 masthead customization - How to remove Logoff dialog box "Are you sure you want to logoff?"
I have recently upgraded our portal to 7.3 sps10 and we are using the Ajax framework
I have a requirement to Remove the Logoff Dialog box "Are you sure you want to logoff?"
I am able to Import masthead.war into NWDS and get the project ready for development with the appropriate jar and libraries.
I am able to deploy the project also. I need help finding How to turn this dialog box off and just log the user off. I was able to accomplish this in Classic frame work page HeaderiView.jsp.
    I have looked at afpmasthead.org.sj and masthead.jsp. I am not a js/jsp developer.
I can see the logoff dialog box being created but I am having trouble finding the logoff code.
Please advise me on the code changes required to remove the  Logoff dialog box "Are you sure you want to logoff?" from the Ajax framework.
Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you

Thank you Troy for your Helpful Threads.
    Problem Solution:
Followed the thread on How to download and change AFP Masthead on SAP Portal 7.3
Located the file which contains the logoff code from thread http://scn.sap.com/thread/3265584
The File with the Logoff coding in it is a Javascript file afpmasthead.js
Identified logoff code without dialog box using this thread https://scn.sap.com/thread/3307601
    NovaDialogBox.performLogout();    (perform logoff)
I was able to remove the Logoff dialog box Do you really want to logoff? And replace it with logging the user off.
afpmasthead.js  All the code is on 1 line,  To fix this go to -->Source -->Format
Comment out the following lines of code and replace with logoff code
    logoffLinkElement.onmouseup= function(aS) {
    logoffLinkElement.onmouseup= function(aS) {
    NovaDialogBox.performLogout();

  • Problems with line weight below 1pt

In Illustrator CS6, when I draw a horizontal line, either with the pen tool or the line tool, the line weight cannot be set below 1pt.  If I draw the line at an angle, I can set the line weight to be smaller than 1pt.  If I change the position of this line from diagonal to horizontal, then the line weight snaps back to 1pt.  Does anyone have any idea why this happening or how to fix it? Thank you!

  • Line Weight

I open a PDF of a drawing.  I turn off line weights to be able to view it better.  I want to save it in that format to send to someone.  How do I do this?  Also, can I change the preferences of the program to automatically turn off line weight?

The "fix" is in the transform panel. Click on the scale
portion of the panel with anything on the paste board selected. You
will then be able to turn on the function to scale strokes. Just
click on the box to select that option and turn it off when you
    dont want strokes to scale.

  • Line weight changes when using Align to Pixel grid

When I select Align to Pixel Grid in the Transform Panel, I see line weight changes occur. I try to change the line weight in the either the Stroke or Appearance panel and it will not change, no layers locked, any ideas how to change the line weight?

Just try this, with snap to pixel grid on, create 10 pixel long straight horizontal 1pt line with the pen or line tool. You won't be able to change the stroke weight to other than whole numbers. But if you rotate the line with only 0.01 degrees by typing this for rotation in the Transform panel, then you can change the stroke weight to 1.25 for example. When creating artworks for for screen display always verify the result with View > Pixel Preview turned on.

...I only referred to Photoshop to illustrate the behaviour - vector tools aside, everything you do in Photoshop has to be whole pixels
As I said, Photoshop doesn't have  snap to pixel grid feature like Illustrator. You can easily create fuzzy lines in Photoshop if you are not drawing them precisely in the middle of the pixels. To check what I'm talking about try this In Photoshop, create a new document with a very small pixel dimensions like 20 x 20 pixels and zoom to the maximum 3200% to see clearly the result. Fill the image with light gray color so you can see the pixels when View > Show Pixel grid is on. Then with black color try drawing a straight line with any tool that creates pixels like a hard brush or the line tool used in pixel mode, and try using constraints like holding Shift while dragging. You will see that unless you draw the lines exactly in the middle of the pixels it will be fuzzy and not clean. The only way to ensure not fuzzy lines in Photoshop is to turn  off the anti-aliasing. You do this by unchecking the anti-alias for tools that have this option and instead of burshes use the pencil tool (which is brush without anti-aliasing). And Illustrator works the same too if you turn off Anti-aliased Artwork in its general section of the preferences and view the result with View > Pixel Preview, you don't need to have the Align to Pixel Grid on, the aliased result will be the same like in Photoshop.

  • .pdf line weights

    hello all--
this has been bugging me for a while:   vector line weights not scaling properly in .pdf's (when viewed on screen in reader, preview, etc).  My workflow is usually from illustrator to indesign for layout, then export to .pdf--and the final linework always appears too heavy on screen (until zooming way into the document).  To illustrate, the attached image shows linework originated in illustrator, placed in indesign on the left and the same indesign file exported to .pdf on the right-- scaled aproximately the same on screen.   Any ideas much appreciated.  LML

Most likely, this has to do with how Acrobat displays thin lines. It may be instructive to turn off line art smoothing in Acrobat's preferences. If your (e.g.) 1 pt lines are making it into the PDF as 1 pt lines, then there's nothing wrong with Indesign. You can verify this by opening the PDF in Illustrator and checking stroke.
Your monitor is probably 96 pixels per inch. There are 72 pts in an inch, so a half point rule viewed at whatever zoom renders 100% must be made up of 1/144th of 96 pixels or about 2/3 of one pixel. Since your monitor can only display whole pixels it rounds up. Most people want smoothing on, so they don't see blocky curves. Smoothing usually means that the edge pixels get blurred, but the edge of a 1 pixel line *is* that one pixel, so more pixels must be added. So far, we're only talking about B&W. But your monitor is color, and both Acrobat and Indesign make use of color to help out with smoothing (obviously in different ways).
In the end, if it prints correctly, then you're okay. If you're designing for display only, use thicker rules.

  • PDF line weight - please help!

    Hi,
When I save from InDesign as a PDF any line drawn with the pen tool/circle tool etc stay the same line weight no matter how much I'm zoomed in on the document. For example, I could zoom right out to 25% and the line thickness will still look at the same as at 150%. Is there a setting to change this?
Hope someone can help by the end of today.
    Many thanks!
    Will

Will sent me a PM because he's having trouble replying in the forum:
Hi, thanks.... but that is a setting in Acrobat.
The designer that I work with says that her InDesign doesn't have this line weight problem (or she has never seen this problem before), so is there a setting that I can change in inDesign?
(I tried to reply on the forum but I keep getting an error... 'You can't post a blank message')
This is not a problem in InDesign, it's a problem in the display in Acrobat (and you are the second person today to post about it). Acrobat is the place you need to be to fix it when viewing the PDF.
As far as your posting problem, are you using the web page editor, or email? Some email clients have issues. If the web page, you need a little patience sometimes for the editor screen to fully load, and then you may need to click inside the editing area to get an active cursor. Hitting Enter with a blank message area would generate that error.

  • Changing line weight in preferences

Hi! How do I change the line weight so that every time I draw a line it's .5 pt instead of 1 pt? Thanks!
    Julie

With nothing selected, change the line weight in the Stroke panel or Control panel. This will become your default.
