Customization of Ess page
Hi
I have created customized area page , area , subarea and services it is assigned to overview page , when i navigate from overview page (for eg: working time ) it show my customized subarea and services it was working fine .But when i select the Working time in the area menu it shows standards subarea and services. I want the working time area to list my customized subarea and services. I don't want to remove the area pages and navigate through overview page .Please let me know what need to be done.
With Regards
Abdull Hakkim .K
You can add your custom area to the ESS working time area.
check in SPRO you should find standard areas related to working time area. Instead of addin your services/resources to custom area add the same to working time

How do I customize my html page in Dreamweaver CS5 to an Avery template that I wish to print out?
Dreamweaver and websites do not easily match up to Avery templates. If you are trying to develop a program for customers/etc to print labels, you should look for a script to generate a PDF file to ensure the accuracy of the printing.
If you are trying to use Dreamweaver as a substitute to print your own labels, I would highly recommend using Microsoft Word, or Adobe InDesign for a better solution. -
How do I customize the login page?
Hi, floks:
How do I customize the login page?
Can I just create a page with login portlet in it? what do I put as on Success URL,
if I choose to go to the home page?
thanks.
nullYou can create a page and add a login portlet to it.Make it accesible to public.
change the default page of the user "public" to the page you have created.(by default it is WELCOME)
if there is an error in the user name or the password entered the portal still navigates to the default single-sign on page.(You have not changed the sign on page still)
To change this page look at on-line help.
search with string "customize" in online help

Customization of ESS portal !
Hi Experts,
I am working on Customization of ESS portal.
We have jdk1.4.2_22 installed on server.
Using NWDS7.0 sp18 with jdk1.4.2_22 build fails below error:
Settings\vanithakulkarni_s\.dtc\1\t\0C7CA564EC73CE1F904CE681D8F104EE\gen_wdp\packages\com\sap\xss\hr\per\us\bank\cc\CcPerBankInterface.java:20: cannot access com.sap.xss.per.helpers.CcHelper

[javac] ERROR: Please remove or make sure it appears in the correct subdirectory of the classpath.
[javac] ERROR: import com.sap.xss.per.helpers.CcHelper;
[javac] ERROR: ^
[javac] 1 error
Using NWDS7.0 sp18 with jdk1.5.0_18.
I am able to build and deploy application successfully . But getting Unsupported major.minor version 49.0 exception on the portal.
PFB Exception details.
java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: com/sap/xss/hr/per/us/address/overview/wdp/InternalVcPerAddressUSOverview (Unsupported major.minor version 49.0)

at com.sap.engine.frame.core.load.ResourceLoader.loadClass(ResourceLoader.java:127)
... 59 more
From sdn came to know UnsupportedClassVersionError is generally for version mismatch. But with matching jdku2019s not able to build the application, to resolve that used the higher version of jdk.
Can anyone help me in solving this issue.
Thanks in advance. Any pointer related to this will be highly appreciated.
Edited by: Shrushti on Sep 25, 2009 8:20 PMHi All ,
Solution for the above problem is resolved by using higher verion jdk@NWDS side.
I am able build and deploy successfully by using JDK1.5.0_18.

How to customize the landing page of Power BI application in a Office 365 Site?
Hi,
While we navigate to the Power BI application by clicking the icon from the Site Contents of a Office 365 site, everything is loaded in it.
But we would like to customize / edit the page, so that all users will see the contents we put in.
We are SCA / having Full Control on the site but we have limited options in the Power BI application.
Please provide pointers on how to Edit / Customize the application.
Thanks,
Thanan.It looks as of now Power BI application on Office 365 doesn't supports any customization.
Thanks,

Third party address validation in ESS pages using workflows
Can anyone help out in giving some ideas for solutioning the following.
Address entered in the page "Main Address: Enter New Address" of
Employee Self Service needs to be validated using third party PL/SQL API. This PL/SQL API is available in the same schema where HRMS objects are available. After the validating the address, user can be shown recommended or invalid address message when address entered is not valid. User can accept the recommended address or reject it in which case the original user entered address would be saved.
ESS pages are using workflows. What is the best design to call the third party address validation from the workflow and show the page with recommended address/invalid address message with "Accept" and "Reject" options. Can anyone help out on what are the technical possibilities to implement this address validation in the ESS page?.After the validation, user is shown a page with "Ok" and "Cancel" options ( please note as said earlier we are not going with "Accept" or "Reject") along with recommended address if the address needs to be corrected. If user clicks "Ok", user will be in the Address update page and can edit the address with the recommded address. If user clicks "Cancel", control goes to next page by saving the address what ever is entered intially.
After passing through the validation logic in the work flow process and based on the result returned, can a OAF page be invoked which can show recommended address with OK and Cancel buttons? -
We are hearing indications that external non-PeopleSoft portals now have trouble linking to native PeopleSoft ESS pages for user data entry. Trouble perhaps related to change to fluid user interface. Any truth to that rumor? If so, where can I find material on fixes or work-arounds?

Hi All,
We are trying to Customize Viewer Login page by defaulting 'Oracle Applications' in the Connect To dialog box. Now it is 'OracleBI Discoverer'. Can anyone help me with that? I am not very familiar with uix scripts. I went into ViewerConnections.uix file, but couldn't figure out where can I make the change.
Thanks.Hi,
Please review Doc ID 312463.1 in MetaLink for additional details but, I would assume you could just re-order the list in the ConnectionAccessTypes.uit file located at $BIHome\j2ee\OC4J_BI_Forms\applications\discoverer\discoverer\templates
I've not tried it personally so, ensure you shutdown everything before, backup the file and restest. The note is very helfpul...basically it'll be something like this
Before
<contents xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/uix/ui">
<option value="RELATIONAL" text="${uix.data.nls['text.access.type.RELATIONAL']}"/>
<option value="APPS" text="${uix.data.nls['text.access.type.APPS']}"/>
<option value="OLAP" text="${uix.data.nls['text.access.type.OLAP']}"/>
<rootChild name="contents"/>
</contents>
After
<contents xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/uix/ui">
<option value="APPS" text="${uix.data.nls['text.access.type.APPS']}"/>
<option value="RELATIONAL" text="${uix.data.nls['text.access.type.RELATIONAL']}"/>
<option value="OLAP" text="${uix.data.nls['text.access.type.OLAP']}"/>
<rootChild name="contents"/>

AliYou can use frontend plus to decompile the classes to see what api are there.Istore API guide is not sufficient for develpment and that is totally based on 11.5.7.They have not included newly added api.You don't need Jdeveloper to customize istore jsp page.If you want any help in istore customization write me on [email protected]

Can I customize "Numbers" in Pages?
Due to the article requirements, I got to make "Numbers" (of Lists) in my language (2 bytes Chinese). I've noticed there's no obvious option to customize Numbers in Pages like Word.
I just wonder if there is a way or woraround to prevent time wasting from plain text list numbers. Thx.You can't from RH. See the article on my site.
Images in the header are tricky. If you use the setting that
I think enables that, you will also get the images in the TOC. Try
putting a two cell table and putting the heading in one and the
image in another.
