Customization of purchase panel for free article preview

For iOS apps, how can the purchase panel be customized for metered or protected article access when free article preview is enabled?
By default, the purchase panel appears as follows - either dark or lighter UI depending on DPS and iOS version:
However, Entertainment Weekly appears to have customized this purchase panel:
It seems that embedded web viewers on publisher-hosted pages may feature custom paywall pages; however, how may this panel be customized for iOS?
Is this html, or native nibs of the viewer?

"You are previewing this issue. Buy the issue to get access to all the articles" - This is the default text with the default app library built into the app. You can customize the text using the Customized strings under the Adavanced Options in App builder

The other text at the end is pulled from the article description field -> meta-data which can be edited from the folio producer editor

Free Article Preview affects download usage?

With the new feature "Free Article Preview", when someone downloads a preview of your folio, does that count as 1 download to our fullfillment bundles?
If so, when the user eventually pays for the folio and downloads the remaining folio, does this count as an additional download?
Will analytics track number of previews and number of users who purchased a folio after previewing vs users who purchased without previewing?

A Free Article Preview download does not count as a full folio download. With Free Article Preview, folio downloads are now calculated according to article counts similar to how folios downloads have been counted in the Web Viewer.
Example:
A folio has 20 articles and 5 articles are marked as "free" and included in the Free Article Preview. A folio download will be counted when 20 articles have been downloaded. When a user downloads the Preview folio, only 5 articles are downloaded to their device so no folio download is counted. If the user purchase the folio, the remaining 15 articles will be downloaded and a folio download will be counted.
Analytics will track the article types in the Preview folio being viewed and will also track purchase from preview folios.

Purchasing group for free text SC

Hi everyone,
We have a requirement to change the purchasing group for free text & catalog SC's. We are using SRM 7.0. Normal procedure is to select the material from catalog, purchasing group is selected & once it is approved a PO is created.
But, now the requirement is that if a user is selecting a catalog material, then the selection of purchasing group should be restricted as per the business.
And if the SC is being created from Free text, then the purchaser's selection should be restricted to very few options in drop down.
Is it possible? I was thinking if the selection of purchasers could be restricted using BADI: BBP_PGRP_ASSIGN_BADI or BBP_PGRP_FIND BADI. But, there is no option for differentiation based on SC created using Catalog & SC's created from free text.
Can anyone please help me with this.

@Muthu: I explored the tables, but the only difference I could find between the catalog & free text SC materails is that the product id is missing for free text SC. Based on this I am unsure if any BADI can be used. Kindly let me know, if the BADI's can be called on this criteria.
@ Virendra: I doubt if that, that can be solution, since the product cataegory for free text cannot be fixed. It will depend on user requirement.
Pls help me to define the purcahsing groups for free text SC's.

I have problems on free article preview function

I had enable article preview function on Account admin panel,
and set some artile to be "free" in a retail folio.
but I only got a purchase button in app without that "preview" function.
what did I miss? do you have any idea?
btw, I am pretty sure I build that app in R26.

when I tab the title on navigation bars, app just take me to the very first article of that folio, not the version number.
However, I am sure that app is v26.
what else I can do??

Purchase required for free update?

Heya, having some difficulties with the App Store on the desktop itunes ap for windows.
When it comes to putting money into my itunes account, i always use gift cards, as i dont want to use my credit card for it. This has always worked fine. Generally, i buy apps, and so when the app updates come through, i get them for free.
A few days ago, however, i noticed i had 3 (now 4) updates pending. as usual, i went to Aps -> 3 Updates avaliable, and clicked "Download all free updates".
But, however, it now brngs up a pop-up box asking for my account details, and to set up billing details.
I dont wish to set up any billing details, but it would seem that i have to if i want to access any FREE updates.
Any ideas on why?

EDIT: Aha! that fixed it. just had to click continue with "None" selected. didnt see that option before.
It would seem that my ID had been wiped, however, or something. all my review stats etc are still there, but on finishing the billing info screen, it said "congratulations, you Apple ID has been created"
Weird.

How do I download iLife on my MacBook Pro (for free) after purchasing a new iOS device

I watched the most recent keynote address just like everybody else and was very happy to hear that Apple was going to provide the new iLife and iWork software for free with the purchase of a new Mac device or iOS device. So, I went and purchased a new iPhone 5S. Now how do I get my free copy of this software on my MacBook Pro (Mid-2010) running Mavericks?
Any help would be appreciated.

You must be running Mavericks and have purchased the iLife 11 apps, either they came with the Mac or from a purchased iLIfe 11 disk, in order to upgrade to iPhoto 9.5 for free.

Billing policy is the same for both the iTunes and Mac App Stores.

I was able to load the Productivity Suite / Free !! on both my iPad mini and my iPhone 5s with no problems and at no cost.

I purchased the display version of my mac pro and it had the Pages app. I just reset it to factory settings and the app is no longer on it. Is there a way I can get it back for free?

I purchased the display version of my Macbook Pro at a navy exchange. The woman working at the store did not know how to reset to factory so I took it home as was. I have been using it for about a month and the laptop had Pages and Keynote on it already. I just reset to factory settings and it now has neither. Is there a way to get these back for free? I think my computer purchase makes it eligible to have these apps for free but since I reset it they are gone.

Go to the App Store where you can purchase copies of the apps. You cannot get them for free. The ones installed belonged to the previous owner. You will need to purchase using your Apple ID.

In exclusive free goods, a material different from the orignal material can be specified as the free goods.
Example: A customer who buys 3 pieces of Trouser's, gets 2 pieces of shirt free.
So my question is , how can i add 2 pieces of shirt free if it has different variant (ex: i want to enter Red colour & Green colour article ) in bonus buy, As in Bonus buy we only can enter one line item.

in VBG1
1. enter the name of the Article grouping, e.g. Shirt1
2. at tab Article, enter article number(s) and quantity. in your case, enter the variants of the generic article (one for red shirt, one for green shirt, or whatever). enter quantity 1 for both variants.
3. save
when creating the bonus buy,
1. select radio button Article Grouping
2. enter the article Grouping you just created in "Article Grouping" <--- this is the bonus articles, not the preriquisite
please notice that the "FreeGoods" is 1 - inclusive; however, it doesn't matter here.
this is probably different from what you normally do when creating a normal free goods condition in SD. since the prerequisite article is already maintained in the area below. that means the article grouping you just maintained in step 2 is the bonus. as a result, the 2 articles in the article group are bonus articles.
