Customization of Tabs in Central Office

Hi,
I am a first time poster on the forum. I have a question about modifying tabs in Central Office. If I want to add a tab or remove a tab in Central Office is there documentation available that can assist me with that process or some helpful knowledge about how to do it? What file contains the tabs?

Presumably this refers to Oracle Retail Central Office ? I am not personally familiar with the product, I don't think its part of Fusion Applications that this forum is dedicated to and as such the technologies used may be different. I will ask colleagues to comment or to point to the correct forum ..

Problem with Cross Tab in Live Office Connectivity

Hi Experts,
I am using Live Office Connectivity to build a Xcelsius Dashboard.
The webi Report has data in 4 cross tabs which comes to Xcelsius as 4 LO Connections.
The size of the Xcelsius Doc is around 900K. I am getting "Xcelcius has stopped working " error when i preview the document.
Earlier i have built dashboards on Webi Report which used Verticle tables(more than 1 MB in size). I am able to preview them and generate SWF without any problem.
I am working on Xcelsius SP3 on Vista OS with 2 GB RAM.
Is using Cross Tab, responsible for the Application Crash or any other reason?
Please help me in solving the above problem at the earliest.
Please let me know if you need any further information on the same.

Webi cross tabs via Live Office connection should work. Pls see this [post|Re: Does Xcelsius support Cross Tab report via Live Office?; for more detail.
Pls let me know what version of Xcelsius you are using because this error is known to popup when some of the dlls are not registered as well.

Hardware Requirement for Oracle Retail central office

Hi,
We are going with Oracle retail with following modules
1) Oracle retail central office (ORCO)
2)back office (ORBO)
3) pos (POINT OF SERVICE)
4) Sim (store inventory management)
Before i discuss with implementation team for hardware , i need advice on best hardware configuration for Orco (Oracle retail central office) and Sim
following prerequisite will be installed on ORCO prod server
a)11gR2
b) weblogic server 10.3.5
c)jdk1.6
d)ORCO application
following prerequisite will be installed on SIM prod server
a)11gR2
b) weblogic server 10.3.5
c)jdk1.6
d)SIM application
Note : Operating system for both servers Oracle Linux 5.3 above/ Redhat linux 5.3 above
application users may be 200+
Among both sun servers and HP which one is best and how should be the structure for both ORCO and SIM.

Trying to get service. Building that looks to be a central office just down the street.

I have been trying to find who services my area for landline internet. Every time I try to type in my address into the website the data base has no idea where my address is but this is the same issue with all the other isp databases so I think the address on file in the county/city is different then the one saved on the isp databases. Either way there is a Verizon building a small concrete building with power/ and phone line and maybe other things I don't know. Right down the street from my house and there is no cell tower within 3 miles of it. By any change could I get service from this central office. I tried to call the tech support for setup but they seem to be working off the same data base that I have access too and they have no idea where I am as it says my address is on the other side of town. If there is anything you can do to help please let me know. O and also I was supposed to get a call from the engineering department but that was like 3 weeks ago.

Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Please go to your profile page for the forum, and look in the middle, right at the top where you will find an area titled "My Support Cases". To ensure you know when they have responded to you, at the top of your support case there is a drop down menu for support case options. Trying to get DSL internet. Verizon central office just down the Road less then 1 mile away.

I am trying to get service to my home and its a bit frustrating when the county physical address does not match with any other maps to try and get service. (its not just you). My property has 2 addresses associated with it

There is a central office just down the Road with your logo on it (less then 1 mile when traveling on a Road with power/phone lines)

when i try to play around with the address trying to find one that is (somewhat close to my address to use as a reference point)
What seems to be the case is so far i have found that i can get Phone service and direct TV through Verizon.
Is this due to the distance the system thinks i am from the Central office or is it just that you do not provide Internet other then wireless even though there is a Central office and phone lines already set up in the area and to my 2 houses.
Also last year we got all the way too getting a phone rep who told us that we would be getting a call from engineering to look into our problem...... that never happened.
I would be most appreciative if you could please look into this.
If there is any more information you need to better understand my situation please do let me know and i will do what i can to provide it.

after the holidays i will again call customer support and hopefully i find them more equipped then the check for service plug in i also have access too and no way of dealing with difficult questions.

VERIZON CHANGED HIGH SPEED DSL AT CENTRAL OFFICE AFTER I HAD 7.840 MBPS FOR MORE THAN 10 MONTHS!!!

ALL OF THE SUDDEN VERIZON DECIDES IN LATE APRIL THAT I SHOULD HAVE 7.1 MBPS INSTEAD OF THE 7.840 MBPS I HAVE BEEN HAVING FOR MORE THAN 10 MONTHS. AS A MATTER OF FACT, AFTER A LOT OF DISCONNECTIONS SUFFERED IN MARCH/APRIL 2012 BECAUSE VERIZON WAS DOING SOMETHING IN THEIR CENTRAL OFFICE WITHOUT TELLING TO THEIR CUSTOMERS, AND HAVING TO REPLACE ALL OF THE DSL FILTERS, AND TWO MODEMS... I GOT THE D-LINK WORKING AT 7.840 MBPS. AS A MATTER OF FACT, VERIZON TECHNICIAN CAME TO MY HOME AND WE DID INSTALL THE NEW MODEM AT THAT VERY SPEED, WHICH WAS AGREED MORE THAN 1 YEAR AGO AFTER DOING A LOT OF TESTING TO ENSURE THE STABILITY IN THE CONNECTION. ALL OF THE SUDDEN, AFTER THE 20-DAY HONEYMOON WITH MY NEW MODEM, I NOTICED THAT MY SPEED WAS NOT THE SAME, AND FOUND OUT THAT THE IP WAS CHANGED AND THE SPEED SETTING DROPPED TO 7.1 MBPS. NOW VERIZON CLAIMS THAT MY CONTRACT WAS FOR A MAXIMUM OF 7.1 MBPS WHICH IS NOT TRUE BECAUSE I WAS IN THE 7-15 MBPS RANGE!!! AS A MATTER OF FACT I COULD GO EVEN OVER 8 MBPS BUT BECAUSE OF MY LOCATION, RELATIVELY FAR AWAY FROM THE CENTRAL OFFICE AND AFTER A LOT OF TESTING, 7.840 MBPS WAS THE MOST CONVENIENT SPEED. VERIZON CHANGES THEIR POLICIES NOT NOTIFYING THE CUSTOMERS, THEY DO WORK INTERRUPTING THE SERVICE WITHOUT NOTIFYING. I AM GOING TO WAIT AND SEE WHAT THEY DO IN THIS CASE. IF THIS IS NOT SOLVED PROPERLY... GOOD BYE VERIZON, AND HELLO TIME WARNER CABLE!!! SO, VERIZON BE PREPARED TO LOSE ANOTHER LOYAL CUSTOMER FOR MORE THAN 9 YEARS!!! Believe or not... That 20% does make a difference... In one of my games, I used to have 5.3 secs of response time, now it does not lower from 7.8. By the way, even my PC worked faster when I had that little higher speed... I know the changes were done without my knowledge because for a period of 2 weeks I got lot of unstability in my connection that I never got for years before... After 20 days with the first IP assigned to the new modem, the speed dropped like Verizon was running a program to levelize such an speed.
At the end, what really bothers me, is that the 7.840 Mbps was a speed agreed with Verizon, their technicians, their supervisors at the CO, and it was fully documented, and all of the sudden because an "internal change in their policies" that agreement was broken... I am currently making arrangements to have FIOS installed at home, subject to an scouting visit from Verizon to evaluate the feasibility of its installation according to my internal wiring limitations. I have to give them a try... No doubt that it would me cheaper and much faster than the high speed enhanced internet connection that I currently have. Let's wait and see...

is there any documentation for enabling the parameter distribution from central office to Register POS application?
any pointers for enabling the configuration changes for MQ in central office and back office WAS will be helpful.
Also how the parameter data flows from central office to register.

Yes you are true its only workstation.xml which gets updated.
So only worstation takes precedence over application.

How do you control the security of the Acrobat tab in MS Office ribbons in Citrix

To stay in licensing compliance, we control who has access to Adobe Acrobat by using Active Directory for our Citrix users. This works for the actual program, but how do I make it so the Acrobat tab, in Office programs, doesn't even show up for those who aren't in the security group (as of now, it shows up but they can't click on anything inside of it without getting errors). What about the options in the right click context menu? I don't want non-acrobat users to be able to see the option "Combine Files in Acrobat" when they right click on a file.

How to customize Terminal Tabs

I am a long time iTerm user. I was able to configure the Window Title and tab with the following in my .bashrc file:
PS1=$'\[\033]2;\u::$PWD\[\007\]\[\033]1;$(basename $(dirname $PWD))/\W\[\007\]$ '
I am have run into several issues with the latest iTerm and Leopard Spaces - most notably if I open a few tabs, going back to the space with iTerm in progressively spins the wheel longer and longer until I have to restart iTerm.
So I would like to use Terminal and it's new tab feature but I haven't been able to program the text in each tab like I could in iTerm. I am not sure how showing 'bash' in each tab is useful. The above bash script would put the full path in the Window Title and a partial path (2 folders) in the tab.
Any help would be appreciated.

Googleing for some "bash xterm title bar setting", I found some stuff (in italian..) and I made some tests....
BTW this works!
PS1='\u@\h:\w\$ \033]2;${USER}@$(hostname):${PWD}[\007]'
This sets first your local promt to "username@serrvername:localdir", then sets the Terminal Title bar to "USER@Hostname:PWD"
As usual it may slightly change, depending to the bash you're running.

I'm customizing a Content Search web part. I need to create dynamic tabs on it based on the values of a retrieved specific column. Do you have idea on how to retrieve all the values all at once, so that I can format the tabs itself? Because right now, I

You can make a REST call with groupby query on the specific column to get distinct values.

            i'm having a big problem in designing this format in cross tab, coz it causes a lot of space that i wouldnt need in displaying the report in my application here's i want to show on my report,
this is just a sample data, but this is supposed the designed, or the output in crystal cross tab

Now my problem is how i'm going to design it in cross tab format in crystal report 9..any suggestion or other way to do it...
