Customization option available in step-by-step screens of ESS applications

Hi,
Can we customise this standard step-by-step screens of ESS where we have (Overview>Edit>Review & Save --> Confirmation).like in Family memember/Dependents screen, Address change screen etc.
Customize in the sense of removing one of the steps totally if there are no mandatory fields, After removing a step 2, when we click on step 1 next button, does it directly go to step 3 ?
Do we need to import the standard source code through nwdi and make the changes or can they be done using perrsonalisations or configuration.
Sorry for couple of questions, but any info in this regard will be useful.

Hi Sreeram,
The steps are a part of a design pattern called Floor Plan Manager (FPM). FPM is not specific to individual components (like Family member or leave request). FPM is a part of global component (XSS). Hence I think it will be difficult to remove a particular step for a particular service. If you still think of doing this, yes you will need NWDI.

@Hi, How do we encrypt APPS password usage in Oracle Application Host script and still let it be used in encrypted format (eg.$1, $FCP_LOGIN should not show plain text password).
Appreciate the process along with any Profile available to place this control.
Concurrent Program Setup Option SECURE/ENCRYPT controls $1, $FCP_LOGIN respectively, but Developer still has access to view/log the APPS Password.
Can we have a System profile or an Apps DBA level Setup to encrypt and use the APPS/Password.

Are you linking the host script to fndcpesr? E.g.:
Host script defined with prog extension:
XXSCRIPT.prog
Move it to relevant dir:
$XX_TOP/bin
Create a soft link to fndcpesr
ln -s $FND_TOP/bin/fndcpesr XXSCRIPT

Code for save event in review screen of ess

Hi All,
I was unable to find the code for trigger of the save event when user clicks save button on ess application lastscreen in the VcPerAddressRevieww component, its not in view or controller of the component.When user hits save in the last screen after review where is programming code which is triggering the save event in any ESS application.

nithya,Thanks for your answer but my question is on out of box ess source code for example in the review and save screen of ess application , when the user clicks save button there should be somewhere a call to fc component that calls the rfc to update the backend.I am looking for that call in the code, i didnot found it in VcperAddressReview Component controller or in the view.Is it a part of CC component or where can i find the call on save button hit.

Optional step (screen)

Hello everyone again,
In eCATT is it possible to say that these step (screen) is optional, cause I encounter several pop up and screens who appear from time to time.
My pricipal goal is during the execution if the script encouter these screens he will execute them if not the script must keep executing until the end, and of course all screens and pop ups must be recorded.

Hello Bob,
It is very much possible to make screens optional in eCATT using SAPGUI recording mode.
Double click on the screen or message popup which you want to make optional on the left side. On right side, the interface will open. Under the ProcessedScreen node, first option is Active 'X'.
Change Active 'X' to 'O'.
'X' - Active (Compulsory will execute)
'O' - Optional (will execute only when it will be in execution flow).

Is there a "New" button at the top right of the Playlists section of Music?
There is no Edit button to delete music, swipe sideways on the song to reveal the delete button. Tap and hold on the artwork in Artists and albums to reveal the (X) button to delete. Or connect the iPad back up to iTunes on the computer and check your sync settings for music to ensure you are syncing the right content.

I can help. There is no full feature software and driver available from HP, but the OS X v10.9 Mavericks driver for your printer is available through Apple Software Update (ASU).
With this driver you can still print and scan, you just wont have HP software to scan from. Scanning to the computer from the printer control panel is only available when using HP Scan software, thus it will not work because there is no HP scan software as apart of the Apple Software Update driver.
Instead, you can scan using,
Method one: Scan from the Print & Scan window
Method two: Scan from Apple Preview
Method three: Scan from Apple Image Capture

I solved my problem!
Since I suspected routing or firewall problems inside the LAN, I went in to the router setup and did some in depth snooping. On an advanced menu of the wireless section was a one-line setting and check-box that said "Block Wireless Bridging". According to the manual, this setting "blocks wireless clients from communicating with other wireless clients on the LAN side of the Gateway."
I unchecked it and restarted the router and now all macs are screen and file sharing.

Can anyone please provide more details on the customization options for Cloud for Customer Mobile apps?
1. Is this a native application (which requires native language coding) or a hybrid/HTML5 based application.
2. Are customization's made to the browser based Cloud for Customer application for desktops also pushed out to the mobile apps?
3. I see the mobile app is available for iPhone, Android and iPad devices at this time. The iPad application has offline capabilities. Is this going to be offered to Android and iPhone apps soon?

Can you clarify one thing for me in regards to adaptations made by an administrator. Example. If I as administrator create a new tab on the account view and then add some field extensions and publish, I can see those changes on the iPad but not the iPhone via the native app that is downloaded. It appears that the iPhone app has very limited features as compared to the iPad.

How come the switch user option is missing from my lock screen?

I upgrade to Lion my iMac Core 2 Duo and now when I lock the screen the switch user option is missing from the lock screen, you just have to cancel o renter as the original user, so that if another member of my family wants to switch and use the mac he or she cannot do it.

The switch user option is totaly absent, I just have the cancel.
It that a bug or what?
Please note this happens only when I lock the screen from the screensaver, i.e. requesting the password to restart from the screensaver, if I get to the login windows all users appears correctly and people can switch back and forth.

I just talked to apple support. They said Lion doesn't support this feature. They gave me a work-around, which was to disable requiring a password in the screen saver. Then enable user switching so it appears in the top right of the banner. Note that since the screen saver no longer locks the screen, in order to actually lock the screen the user must click on the upper right user list and select something like "Login user...".
This issue has left me disappointed with apple for a few reasons. Hopefully someone at apple will take note:
1. Apple removed a useful feature.
2. Apple did not provide a response to this thread which would have been the best forum to inform users of this change. It would have saved me and apple one long phone call.

When I enter a subject in the help "search box" and enter, it does not go to the subject but goes back to the screen before I clicked on the help option at the top of the screen
