Customize e-Business suite with JDEVELOPER_10 (ADF Based)

Is there any way to customize existing iprocurement (OAF Region based) screens related to "Oracle e-Business 11.5.10" using JDEVELOPER_10_1_13 (ADF Framework)?

I believe you need to be using Release 12. For more information, post to the OAF forum:

Issue with Integrating E-Business suite with Oracle Webcache server

Hi
I am trying to configure webcache to E- Business Suite.
Webcache sits on some other server, and configured both the sides means webcache server side as well as E-Business side.
Now issues is i am trying to access E-Business suite via webcache server i am getting Jsp pages as well OA Frame work pages but i could not able to open forms from function click.
Here when we are trying to launch forms from function click we are getting nothing
At that time i hope this will hit FND_ICX_LAUNCH.runforms for launcing the forms.Here is the problem i guess, we are not getting any
pl/sql pages(modplsql).
I have tried with URL http://CITRIXPS02.ashokleyland.com:7777/pls/ but i am getting error
Proxy Error
The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request GET /pls/.
Reason: Document contains no data
if i try to launch forms directly with this URL http://citrixps02.ashokleyland.com:7777/dev60cgi/f60cgi i am getting
Please note Host CITRIXPS02.ashokleyland.com is webcache host
Can anybody help in accessing pl/sql pages from E-Business Suite via webcache server

Thanks for your reply. I need the integration of E-Business suite with OAM , in 10g we have to integrate the E-Business suite with OSSO and the WE need to integrate the OSSO with OAM 10g.
I heard that now we can integrate the E-Business suite with OAM 11g with out OSSO, is it correct ??
If yes please provide the info about this.

E-Business Suite with 64-bit Windows 7 desktop clients

Hi,
I have Dell Inspiron n 4010 laptop with preloaded windows 7 Home Basic (64-bit) OS.
Wanted to install Oracle Apps..But could not make it.
Can anybody pls help me how to install in my laptop !!
Even I tried to insatll Window xp ..it wont allow.
Please suggest me the best solution.

How to Display Data from Oracle E Business Suite tables in ADF

Hi,
I am new to ADF.
I have a requirement to Create an ADF page for Search Results Screen.
However the result data is from one of the Oracle E Business Suite Tables.
ie I need to create a Screen where user will enter a Purchase Order Number and Click on Button.
The Screen should show details from PO_HEADERS_ALL (from Oracle ERP Database Table) based on the entered PO Number.
Is it possible to implement the same? Can some one guide me how to do it?

Is there a way where I can create a VO in ADF to which I can insert records dynamically from a source and the Source connects to E Business Suite tables and returns results ie BPEL etc.

Can ADF invoke SOA which inturn connects to Oracle E Business Suite and fetches the data from Oracle tables and pass it back to ADF? Is it possible
Yes. Just use a WS proxy client to access the SOA entry point (WSDL) and follow the link above

11i E-Business suite with 11gr2

Hi
In my organization we have recently upgraded one of the 11i (11.5.10.2) E-business suite database from 10.2.0.3 to 11.1.0.7 on solaris (64-bit). Currently we are looking to upgrade the new 11gR1 to 11gR2 EBS database on solaris and confused about the certification. Does 11gr2 is certified with EBS11i (11.5.10.2) on solaris?
Also we have OEM 10g grid control (10.2.0.1.0) repository in our environment. Is 11gr1 or 11gr2 e-business suite 11i database is certified with OEM10g (10.2.0.1.0), if not which exact version of grid control do we need to upgrade to have 11g database working with OEM grid?

Currently, 11gR2 is certified with version 11i of Apps only on the Linux platform - pl see http://blogs.oracle.com/stevenChan/2009/10/db11gr2_certified_ebs11i.html. The Solaris version of 11gR2 was released a few weeks ago and certification with 11i will take some time. Pl subscribe to Steven's blog for certification updates.

Can anybody suggest whether this would work or not in my system .If you have sufficient resources on your Windows 7 machine then you can install Linux 64-bit as a guest OS then install R12 (at least 6 GB RAM, and for disk space please check the installation doc link referenced below).

i had requirement in that i have to configure E-Business Suite Forms Managed Attachments Solution , i have to add an extra attribute in header region of oaf Form
how can i add an extra attribute in that region .
In the Line item entry The left box shows Oracle E-Business Suite configuration and connects to the Oracle E-Business Suite configuration database; it includes transaction tables, custom PLLs, and AXF PL/SQL procedures. To the right are two WebLogic Server boxes, one connecting to an AXF configuration database and containing AXF 11g , and the other WebLogic Server box connecting to a Content Server database and containing Content Server 11g and Content Server functionality (components, search engines, and services, including the AF Grant Access Service).

If you can use any unused variable already available in the header part that will be a quick and easy solution.
On other hand if you are very much sure you want to add a new header field then you have to make changes in all the layers including AXF DB and OOTB SPs.

E-Business Suite Integration with Oracle Business Intelligence

Hi,
To integrate E-Business Suite with Oracle Business Intelligence I have done all the configurations as specified in DocId. *552735.1* of Metalink. I have tested the configurations by logging in from EBS and navigating to OBIEE Presentation Services. I'm able to navigate with no errors but not able to view Subject Areas in the Answers link. I'm testing this with 'Administrator' user. When I directly login to Presentation Serivices with the Administrator user I'm able to see the Subject Areas.
Can anyone have idea what is the problem?

Think I spotted the problem - probably specific to OBIA 7.9.5.
There is no "Authorization" initialization block: in previous incarnations (e.g. OBIA 7.9.4 and earlier I guess) there was a FndGetResp intialization block that assigned a value to the OBIEE "GROUP" system variable.
So I did the following and now I'm getting Subject Areas and Answers answers, but Dashboards still not working for me - maybe another issue.
1. Create system variable GROUP, temporarily with initialization block "Authentication"
2. Create initialization block "EBS Responsibility to Group" with query (note I've modified based on new session variable name RESP_ID goes to OLTP_EBS_RESP_ID in 7.9.5):
SELECT RESPONSIBILITY_KEY
FROM FND_RESPONSIBILITY
WHERE RESPONSIBILITY_ID = 'valueof(NQ_SESSION.OLTP_EBS_RESP_ID)'
Set the execution precendence to include EBS Security Context and EBS Single Sign-On Integration
NB: Had to create dummy variable GROUP_TMP for the "OK" button to come up, will replace that with real GROUP in next steps
3. Go back and edit System variable GROUP and change initialization block to EBS Responsibility to Group
4. Go back and edit initialization block EBS Responsibility to Group and remove variable GROUP_TMP
5. Created an OBIEE Group with name = responsibility key e.g. for my "SBA Administrator" responsibility, key = "SBA_ADMIN_KEY", so I created group named "SBA_ADMIN_KEY"
6. Made your new group (e.g. SBA_ADMIN_KEY) a member of the Administrators Group
7. Copy across rpd and restart sa / saw
Still awaiting response from Oracle Support ... so no guarantees this is correct and no guarantees that it won't break something else that Oracle suggests later!

Using Business Rules with ADF

I would like to use oracle business rules to handle the business logic in an ADF based application; can anyone advise me where to do this? I am thinking as either a custom service method or in the same way as validation on a view-object. Ultimately i need to work with data from multiple tables so the enitity object level is not really appropriate.

Here is another one: Where in a View Object (that represents a detail record made up of 3 EOs in a Master/detail configuration) during the creation of the View Object would you call out to a Rule so that the Rule could populate a data field in the View Object?
Also, is there a document anywhere that explains how to get ADF and Oracle Business Rules to work together? There is a simplistic example available but I was hoping for more depth and documentation.

I am a dotnet developer (asp.net with C#). I am sorry I dont know much about Business objects. Our client a financial firm wants to use Business object with a web based application. I couldn't got a clear and good understanding of Business object. The client just said Business objects allows dynamically creating reports even clients can create reports very easily even without knowing SQL.
Kindly guide me about Business Object product and its what component I should check for using it. Please mention some links that can give me introduction.

Installing Oracle Grid Agent on R12 E-Business suite

All,
I have 10.2.0.3 OEM Grid Server installed and configured. This has been monitoring few of my standalone and dataguard production databases in which Oracle grid agents are installed and configured.
I have recently deployed R12 E-business suite with two application nodes and one database in a F5 load balancer environment. I am wanting to install and configure Oracle Grid agent on R12 EBS Application and Database nodes to monitor my R12 EBS by making use of existing Oracle Grid server.
Has anyone installed and configured Oracle grid agent on R12 Application and database nodes?
Any informantion/pointers that anyone can provide on the above would be greatly appreciated.

Do you know the ports that need to be opened between Application Tier and Grid control server?Not sure what grid control version you are installing.
