Customize local layout in PO create

Hi all,
I created a SAP transaction iView for PO create.
We have "Customize local layout"(It is the last one in the tool bar) option in ECC6.0. I couldn't able to get that option through iView.
Do we need to make any setting changes or won't we get it through iView?
Can any one help me in this regard?

Customize Local Layout in SAP R/3 Web GUI?

We are using IC WebClient with a link to R/3 4.6c for order entry. The users want to be able to have the same control in the R/3 Web GUI that they do in the native R/3 GUI (eg. automatic tabbing at end of field). In native R/3, this is controlled via the 'Customize Local Layout' icon on the toolbar, but this icon does not exist in the Web GUI. Does anyone know if this kind of control is available with the R/3 Web GUI?

Per OSS - "Differently from SAPGUI, Web UI is built in a navigator envinronment (Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Safari...). Thus the requested functionality depends on the browser, not on any SAP setting.
To my knowledge, this feature is not available in Internet Explorer, butyou can always write a simple Java routine that does the job. I found an article that you can use to start your investigation. Please, check it here:

it will be avaliable, after you press Alt+F12, you get a menu bar displayed , in that 3rd option is SET COLOR TO SYSTEM

Unable To Print Right Justified from Customize Local Layout (Alt+F12)

Hi,
Problem I am having is giving me nightmares. I am able to print hebrew text abap list in sap 4.5b. But when i change the Character Set of language from "Customize Local Layout" (Alt+F12) to Hebrew (Right Justified) the preview shows up correcctly. But when I print from an actual printer, it still shows output as (Left Justified). Can someone please help!!!!!!

Apologies for replying late. The printer is unicode enabled however, since we are on a non-unicode version of SAP (4.5b) it wouldnt really matter. We are printing Hebrew language. Its always coming out as left justified. We want it to print right justified.

Customizing of local layout: How to modify client dependent colour settings

Dear Collegues,
I hope you can help me with the following requirement:
I am looking for a solution on how to set the the colour on a system that is supposed to vary for each client.
Modifying the new visual design in the menu customize local layout (Ctrl+F12) is valid for the complete system but does not allow to distinguish between its clients.
Now how can the settings be made client dependent - if possible at all?

Hi if your page layouts alreday created then create new page programaticaaly and apply your page ayouts to that page by coding you can do something like following

It's stored in registry of the local PC. I never tried, but with methods REGISTRY_SET_DWORD_VALUE & REGISTRY_SET_VALUE of class CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES you might be able to set it.

Hard Copy function in Customized Local layout ( Alt +F12) on tool bar

Hi Experts,
In SAP, the last button on the tool bar (i.e Customized Local layout - Alt + F12) use to automatically print a copy of the current transaction on screen when we selected the u201CHard Copyu201D command.
But now, when we select u201CHard Copyu201D a screen comes up as if to save as a file. How can we change so as to automatically print?

This is because of incorrect print configuration.
Goto,
From any report program select:
Program-->print. In the print list screen window , click on properties.
check whether these values are there in correspodnign field .
1.Tome of printing -- print out immediately
2.format -- x_65_132.
3.sppol request -- (any name with RS).
4.SAp cover sheets -- default settings .
5.os cover sheet -- default setings.
6.New sppol request --- yes

Does os x server create inconsistent local backups of files created as a result of a client's time machine backup?

some definitions for clarity:
"TM Server" means the Network Service by which clients back up their files to the server.
"TM Client" means the local Time Machine backup process that saves the server's files to a USB drive
If I have a Server "A", and clients, "B" and "C".
"A" offers itself as a TM Server backup destination, saving to
/Volumes/Backup1/
/Volumes/Backup2/
"B" and "C" clients rotate between Backup1 and Backup2 as their backup destination, over the network, so
/Volumes/Backup1/b.sparsebundle and c.sparsebundle exist (as well as in Backup2)
"A" backs itself up through its TM Client to a USB3-attached drive at
/Volumes/USB1
Which has the usual .backupdb files.
A's backups include the data on the "Backup1" and "Backup2", which have the sparsebundles.
The question is:
1. Is A's TM Client aware of the TM Server, so only saves the .sparsebundle bands to the .backupdb once the TM Server has finished accepting a client backup
OR
2. does the TM Client run concurrently with the TM Server such that it writes the .sparsebundle bands to the .backupdb in an inconsistent state:
Ex:
Server and Client have copies of a file. Server has a previous content with 'AA' and begins a backup.
Halfway through the server's backup, the client starts writing to the server with new content, 'BB'
Scenario 1: TM Server waits until local backup is complete:
Client:|-------------------BB[===Backup===]BB-|
Server:|-AA[===Backup===]AA-------------------|
Scenario 2: TM Server is allowed to write while backup happens
Client:|-----------BB[===Backup===]BB-|
Server:|------AA[===Backup===]AB------|
Scenario 2 obviously leaves the local backup in an inconsistent state.
DOES OS X SERVER CREATE INCONSISTENT LOCAL BACKUPS OF FILES CREATED AS A RESULT OF A CLIENT'S TIME MACHINE BACKUP?

See if anything in C 12 helps. Airport Utlity 5.6 will not run in Mavericks.

I was using the layout wizard to create a master details form but for the details portion of the form, only one row of data was displayed. What needs to be done to have multiple rows displayed for the details portion of the master details form? I'm using Forms 9i.

Locale layout

Hi,
I am localizing a big JSF web application. the desired locale is fa_IR which is farsi for Iran. Iranian write from right to left and the local web applications are all from right to left. it means that when a convertor button is clicked , everything including language and layout must be changed:
English ---> Farsi
Left Layout ---> right layout.
the language part has been solved and there is no issue on that. but I am wondering how I can solve the layout problem, it is very tedious to go and re-do everything for all pages and create one Farsi Page for one English page. I hope I am posting in a right place.

Most of the JSF components have a dir attribute which indicates text direction. Use of conditional CSS would probably help as well.
It is also possible there is a magic bullet out there I am not aware of which makes it much easier. I would search on the Sun site for resources on developing internationalized web applications.

Customize local folder for edit locally

Hi Experts,
I am running EP 6.0 SPS 17 with KMC on system i. We are running Active Directory in the company. We have a problem with users when doing 'edit locally', since they are defined as 'user'. They don't have permission in any of the folder on the local PC, except 'c:\temp'. When doing 'edit locally', the file is downloaded into 'C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\.......' which is prohibited.
Do you know the place to customize the destination folder for 'edit locally', so we can place the downloaded file into 'c:\temp' instead?

Hi Agoes Boedi,
You can force KM to save the temporary files to c:\temp by creating a new user specific system variable (under environment variables) with the name "SAPKM_USER_TEMP" (and the path "c:\temp).
You need to close all browser sessions and start a new one after creating the new user specific system variable.

Dynamic Customize Local Object

Here is my situation,
1) I wanna to send the whole object over the network to the devices that run on KVM. But i cannot do it because CLDC does not support API to convert byte to object. So the only solution is create a local object at the devices that run KVM and then customize it over network.
2) Here is the problem, how can i set the event listener and item at the local object of the KVM devices over network? (by string???)
I need some experience point on this problems.thx

If I understand you correctly, you want to serialize an object and send it to a KVM device and "re-instantiate" that object. But, unfortunately CLDC does not support serializeable - correct?
If this is the case, I would
1. write a generic HTTP client/server application and the KVM device would request messages from the server.
2.write my own interface which implemented a method which would serialize the state of the object into a byte array and deserialize the object (doing the reverse).
The KVM device would request messages from the server - a message could be a serialized byte array of of an object. On the device, the client could then instantiate the object and then pass the byte array to the serialize method of the object and viola the object now exists on the client. Note, there are other factors which you must address, e.g. the object still exists on the server, which may be a problem.

Customize the layout set used when opening a folder in search result list?

I have created a search result iView that uses a predefined search query to show a list of folders. If I click on a folder (rnd:displayname(contentLink)) its content is displayed in a new window. Here the layout set Consumer Explorer (default profile?) is used.
I want to use a custom layout set in this window. How can I achieve this?

Normally, as you can see in the above mentioned <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/25/59bb2eece725498427334e0e21b80c/content.htm">Priority of Settings</a>, whenever the KM Navigation component (com.sap.km.cm.navigation) is opened without a specific layout set the global default layout set is used. As you can give this parameters by different ways (as URL parameter, in the KM Navigation iView configuration, via OTH file definition, hardcoded or configured in the configuration of an UI Command, etc.) it is nearly impossible to find all situation where your users will get this default profile.
The UI Commands (with selection) you mentioned like "copy","move","create_link" use the configured LayoutSet (ConsumerOnlyFolderSelector) from the KM Configuration (of the command).

Of course. One other possibility I have in mind is to work with OTH files. You might also search here on SDN to see how to use them for setting the layout set for specific folder paths.
