Customize Mouse over values when hovering on a chart data point

Hi
Can someone please help me here? I have a dashboard which displays 4 series in a combinational chart. Along with the numeric values, I have another column which displays the commentary / justification of a data point on a particular date.
I want to show this as a mouse over value to change when user hovers over different dates.
Is it possible?

Problem with mouse-over value on a column chart (by Series)

Hi.
First of all thanks for any offered tip.
I am having a problem with a column chart.
When I move the mouse over a column it should show a small pop-up (or tip) with the column name (series name) and the value (series value). The problem is that it displays an extra '1' just like the following:
SeriesName
1
X.XXX
How can I remove the extra '1' and only show the name and the value ?
The data is populated by series (manually added).

Yes. It looks like the '1' is coming from the X Axis labels. The chart that I have built does not require any labels on the X Axis, so this was not set (X-Axis labels: Empty). I tried setting this to an empty cell, but the '1' still appears in the mouse-over tip.
It is very weird. If I leave the X-Axis labels empty, I still get the '1' displayed which is very annoing.
Are there any solutions for this except the re-building the tip with a label a.k.a. '[customize the mouse over values|http://xcelsiusandme.blogspot.com/2009/07/xm-sample-7-customizing-mouse-over.html].'

Mouse over values not displaying properly for the Combination Chart

Hi All,
A Combination Chart has the following details:
Primary Y Axis has Revenue in mn $.
Secondary Y Axis has %.
When the mouse over is being done, 4% is being displayed as .04
It should be displayed 4% & not as .04
The Mouse over values has the Number format as u201CNumericu201D.
Sometimes, it works in u201CGeneralu201D format. (%)
However, there is no control on the no of decimal places displayed for the value of Revenue (Primary Y Axis value).
Whereas, in Numeric format, decimal places can be adjusted.
Secondary vertical(value) Axis Labels has "Percent" as the Number format.
Please suggest a solution.

Look I have an idea, I donu2019t know if you already try it.
Please give the format that you want percentage, decimals etc...
In the Excel where the charts are being directed
Then redirect de chart to the same cells, these with the porpoise of refreshing
Now each serie have the format.
Please let me now what happen with these

Mouse Over Value in Pie Chart

I have two questions -
1. How do i restrict the no. of decimals in the Mouse Over values for Percentage in a Pie Chart ? The numeric values i can control but the percentage (which the system calculates) seems to be set at default two decimal places.
2. While displaying the labels even though i am using the ouside end, inside end etc options - i can't seem to control the overlapping of a few labels. Offsetting is something that i need to do by hit and trial. too slow. and not all need to be offsetted. Can i selectively offset for a data point ?

For question1, do you mean the "Data Label->Percentage" right? I think the "Mouse-Over Values" could be set decimal places easily from "Appearance->Text->Mouse-Over Values", but for "Data Label->Percentage" there is no direct way to show its decimal places. You can use "Label" component to build your percentage you like manually.
For question2, if all position setting could not fit your need, you can also use label component to build your custom Data Labels.

How do I change the mouse-over value format on the secondary axis?

Can anyone tell me how I can change the number format for the mouse-over values on the secondary axis of a combination chart? Right now they take on the format of the primary axis values. In my case, I need the primary to reflect a general number with three decimals, and the secondary to reflect currency.

Agreed. The option I've used before is to name the axes "Revenue ($)" and "Gross Margin (%)" (or whatever) and that makes the numbers a little more readable.

Mouse Over values disappear

Hi,
the Mouse Over values for our Xcelsius 2008 sp2 charts disappear. We do have the feature checked for all charts.
The workaround is to make a different combo box selection and the mouse over value seems to start working again.
Is anyone else experiencing or know how to fix this? Is this a bug?
I have searched the SAP Business Objects forums and the internet, but, I have not found a solution.

No Problem.
I was assuming that you know you can change the font/size/colour etc in the Appearance > Text tab.
But as for defining what is shown in the Mouse-Over, then that is a no.
The SAP guys read these forums so I'm sure your request will be noticed.

I'm working with Xcelsius over data from SAP BW.
Is there a way to change the Mouse-over number format per a specific series?
If I have 2 Y axis 1 is for percentages and I want that series to be displayed as percentages when other series will be presented as Numeric for example.

Mouse over feature

Hey, is there any possibilty to use the mouse over feature when hovering over a link with firefox for android? klicking just opens the link while jolding would only show a menu. the problem occures on jungle-world.com for example.

Are you talking about emulating that behavior as a user? In that case: not that I'm aware of. Touch devices use touch events, instead of pointer events. Mousover is one of those things you just can't do on mobile and have to account for when designing interfaces to be used on touch devices.

Interactive PDF with mouse-overs was created in Illustrator, now pauses and flashes when opened in Acrobat

I have created an interactive PDF using Illustrator that has mouse-overs. When i export the file and then open it in Acrobat there is odd pausing on teh image bewteen mousing over it and the text callout that shold then display. Did I export or save incorrectly?

I'm new to tech matters with Adobe/PDF/Nitro tho I've been using them for several years.
The original file was created by an agency and given to independent contractor to use. I don't know which program they used to create the form. And I don't know what XFA or LiveCycle Designer means because I'm not technically sophisticated unfortunately.
I used Nitro 6 to populate the data and have a number of forms already filled out, which I periodically open and modify and resubmit. But Nitro 6 is acting sick, despite reinstalling several times. I'm attempting to see if it's worth transitioning to Adobe Acrobat, i.e., can I reopen the forms I've populated and continue to work with them. I like some of the Adobe features for other purposes (e.g., OCR).
Any help in determining how to open the form while keeping the data?

Xcelcius 2008 - Dual Axis Graph Mouse Over Display

I am working on a dual-axis graph where one value is a percentage and another is numeric. I am having an issue where I cannot format the hovers into multiple formats (i.e. one as numeric, the other as a percentage). In the graph properties I only see one property to modify Mouse-Over Values, but I need to modify it for each axis.

I Have to show all the projects per client requirement, I want to remove the legends(which I already did), and instead show the project name only when the mouse is rolled over in the graph. Is it possible?

Mouse Over Graphs and Legend

Could this feature be included in next release?
Allow to select separate mouse over values from the legend. If I have long definitions for the bars in a graph - I do not want to display these same bars in the legend (there isn't room) I would rather display numbers in the legend which refer to the bars and then have the longer text shown only when I mouse over the bars.
Right now the legend shows the same text as the Mouse Over Values. If I turn off the legend and only have the Mouse over Bars, then I can't use the Enable Hide/Show Chart Series at run-time feature - so I need to have both - the legend and the mouse over values.

how can i deactivate mouse over menu for a column chart?
I have download Sample7. it does not work, when create a new xlf and use the same objects. nertheless the mouse over menue appears.

How to get mouse over shape to display data in Visio 2013?

Hi Visio pros,
I am required to create a diagram of our servers rack setup and will be publishing to a Web page using Visio 2013.
The goal is to mouse over the server shape and have the data be displayed. I have followed arguably every solution on the internet. I am either doing it wrong, or it might be outdated information.
I'm hoping Paul Herber, or other Visio pros would be able to help me with this situation as I am on a tight schedule and have exhausted my resources.
Things I have tried:

Browser that I am using is Internet Explorer since I ran into problems with Google Chrome.
However, after more reading I noticed the User.visEquivTitle provides a tooltip. If it is what I think it is, which is a small yellow box displaying a string, my employer would not want that.
We're looking for something that will provide an aesthetic display of data after mouse over onto the shape.

How to see document file name with full path when hovering mouse over title bar?

Using PS CS6, Windows 7 x64.
I was under the impression that when hovering my mouse over the document title bar, I would see a tooltip showing the full file name, including the path. This isn't happening and I'm wondering if there is a way to do this. I know I can click File > Save As, or Ctrl+Shift-S to see the full path, but hoving over the title bar would be easier. (What I am seeing now in the tooltip is the file name, % magnification and which layer I have selected. Basically, the tooltip is just showing what's in the title bar without hovering.)
