Customized dashboard images in SSM 7.0

My client would like to replace the standard dashboard image viewed in Scorecard with one that reflects company colors. I thought I could do this through the File Manager in Admin Tools by creating a customized image with the same name (i.e. 'gauge_red.jpg'), deleting the original file (although it is saved on my machine so I can replace if needed), and uploading the customize image to the same location. This didn't work.
Is this type of image customization possible? If so, can someone direct me on how to do it properly?
Also, I will need to adjust the colors of the squares depicted under the dashboard image on Scorecard that represent KPI index values. These appear not to be images but cells where specific colors are referenced. Any pointers on adjusting these to match my customized dashboard image?

Hi Laura,
So I'm working on the basis that the new image shows up okay in the File Manager so you can verify that it is loaded correctly.
What you'll probably need to do at that point is ensure that you've deleted your local browser cache, so it's going to open the version of the image on the server and not the one that you might have stored locally.
However, you may also need to update the file in a second place in order for it to be correctly displayed in the application - and this changed somewhere along the way in the 7.x versions. In addition to the File Store, which is updated through the File Manager, files are also deployed on disk. This is typically located in "C:\usr\sap\XXX\J00\j2ee\cluster\apss\sap.com\xappscpmsm~strategymanagement\servlet_jsp\strategy\root" (where XXX is the three character SAP system ID chosen when you installed CE - it's CE1 by default on a developer version of the product). You may need to go into the "files" folder at that location and also update the images there.
Different events within CE can cause the information from the file store to be written out to disk, so it's important that you update in both locations.
Please try this and hopefully you'll see your customized images.

Ya i think it is comming due to null data, just restrict the data by specifying not null prompt or specific condition in the associate column Isnull(attribte,0)

How do I make a custom brush image in a gradient color scheme in Photoshop Elements 12?

I want to make a custom brush image in a gradient color scheme. I know how to change the hue jitter, but I want to "paint" the image with a gradient between two colors. For example, I have an image of an octopus that I have used to create a custom brush. I want the top of the octopus to be hot pink and gradually fade into a deep orange at the end of the tentacles. Everything I've looked up just colors the background. Thanks in advance!

Try the following:
Open the octopus image
Open a Gradient Map Adjustment layer above this. There are several preset gradients, but in my version of the program I don't see one with pink to orange.
When you double click on the gradient bar in the Adjustments palette, this will open up the Gradient Editor, where you can tailor the gradient to your specifications with color and opacity stops. (see below)
This will apply the gradient to the entire picture. However, the adjustment layer has a built-in mask (the white rectangle).
Left click on this and paint with a black brush to hide the gradient outside of the octopus. If you go too far, you can correct with a white brush.
Now, as to the Gradient map adjustment layer, here is how to configure it:

Customer Dashboard Icon missing in Siebel

The Customer Dashboard Icon is missing for some users only, but other users are able to see. There is no difference in Responsibility. How to troubleshoot?

Do you have multiple Web Servers in your environment? You may want to check the PUBLIC folder on each to make sure everything is intact. Bouncing the World Wide Web Publishing service may also help.

Dashboard - defaulting to a custom Dashboard - is this possible?

Hi Everyone,
I have created a custom sales dashboard and I would like to set it as the first dashboard that our Sales Reps see when they click on the tab. Is this possible? because I can't seem to find any info on this.
I started playing around with Custom Web tabs, and I can add the URL from the Sales Dashboard - but I get a picture in a picture problem where there are two sets of the action bar and tabs at the top
Has anyone had similar challenges? How have you gotten around this?

We're actually looking for the same feature, but no luck yet.
Prior to the custom dashboards in R15, we used Custom Web Tabs. We still keep the "top 3 dashboards" as Custom Web Tabs as they are more convenient to run. With the Custom Web Tab dashboards, we've linked each up to a Narrative report. Narrative reports use HTML code to combine several different reports into one report.
I've never tried to link the URL from a custom dashboard to a web tab, maybe you can give Narrative reports a try.

I'm making a custom dashboard, I'm trying to use the performance widget for a netapp volume, but the performance objects are not available and only see "(All)" on the options (see screenshot). When I create the dashboard it shows the widget
with empty information.

Hi all,
I managed to fix all my dashboards, from what I understand it is not a supported MS fix as per articles I found on forums etc.
My issues started when I renamed some of my groups because of requirements, think SCOM 2012 doesn't like the rename, serious bug that I think causes the info in the db's to go out of sync etc.
Also found that data from the main opsmgr db to the dwdb hadn't submitted for months, so my reporting was way out. Hence blank stats on dashboards and uptime reports showed grey.
I followed this article and fixed it, please ensure that your db's are fully backed up before doing this. OperationsMananger DB and the OperationsManagerDW db.
The issue in the end is actually with the DW db.

Custom loading image JSP dynpage

Hello,
Wa have created a jsp dynpage, and want to show a custom loading image. I other applications (appintegrator) we have succesfully changed the loading image by exporting the theme that we are currently using, change the loading_ani.gif image and re-importing the theme. This change has no effect on the loading image of the JSP dynpage, it is still the one supplied by SAP. I checked the url of this image and got the following https://host:port/htmlb/mimes/common/loading/loading_ani.gif, so I tried changing the loeding image that is stored in the htmlb par file, but there was no visible result when loading the application, or when loding the direct url of this image. Can anyone tell me where I can change the loading image of the JSP dynpages?

When I duplicate or copy slides, my custom theme images turn into question marks. Why, and how can I copy themes with slides?

When I duplicate or copy slides, my custom theme images turn into big grey boxes with an 'x' through them and a question mark in the middle in their new destination. When I go look at the master slides, I see that there are now two sets of masters, one for the my custom theme and a new one just like it, but with no images.
How can I copy (or duplicate) my slides?

OK, got it ... the Power ON Factory reset procedures might have changed with GB ...
To get to a Factory reset using the Power up method:
1. Power Off phone
2. Press & Hold the HOME Button
3. Press and Hold the Power ON button.
You come up to the Triangle with the Exclamation mark & android guy.
Press BOTH the Up and Down Buttons at the same time. This brings up the Blue menu of options.
use the Up/Down arrows to scroll thru the choices. Press the POWER Button to Select the menu item you choose.
You can harmlessly test this and just choose to Reboot without doing anything, just to see how it works in case you ever need to do this in the future.
edit: It was concluded in the test group that they changed this process to align it with the new DX2 as the camera button isn't hard-wired like it is in the DX. So likely they just wanted to make this process the same for both platforms. At least it sounds like a good reason...

Size of Custom Still Image Transcoding Settings

I need Custom Still Images, but want them not to exceed 40kb in size. Is there any way to control the size of a custom Still Image?

I don't believe so in FCP 1.1.1, but if I am not mistaken 1.5 has that capability.

Using custom bullet images in paragraph styles

Bit of an edit to this one.
I've got several sections of text through my doc, Tips and Notes, currently this text is just highlighted and box bound. But I instead want it to have a custom bullet image, like a ! or something similar. I've found the images I want to use in the 'Bullet and Numbering..' menu of RH, but using these to create a style creates a new list style, I instead want to edit my existing Note and Tip styles so the image is used, otherwise I have to re-apply the list style all over the doc in place of the Tip and Note styles I have now. Would be very nice if I didnt have to do this.

Coming in a bit late on this.
I just successfully changed to picture bullets by performing the following actions.
Added the image I wanted to use for the bullet as a Baggage file.
Edited the Lists item in the Style Sheet editor so that lists were presented in an unusual font. (did this so I could easily locate the appropriate CSS section when editing later)
*NOTE: I'm unsure why Lists is listed as a separate entry of its own, but I used the Lists found within the Other category.
Now hand edit the CSS using Windows Notepad. Certainly you may view the files in Windows Explorer and right-click to edit, but I much prefer to launch the CSS in Notepad right from RoboHelp HTML. To do that, you click Tools > Options > Associations tab. Then associate Notepad with CSS files. This allows you to right-click the CSS in the RoboHelp HTML Explorer and choose View. The CSS should then display in Notepad.
Okay, once that was done I edited Notepad and saw that my lists item looked as below:
I amended it to add the reference to the image as shown below:
Seems a lot has been tried and nothing seems to work for you. I'm hopeful this will either help you solve it or spark a thought that will.

Custom loading image in WebDynpro iView

Hi All,
I have replaced the default loading image in the com.sap.portal.appintegrator PAR with a custom image.
As a result the new custom loading image is being shown in all iviews made fom that PAr e.g.BSP Iview, IAC iview etc.
But only the webdynpro iview is still not able to show that image,but is instead showing no image during loading.
Have checked every possibility.
Can anyone suggest what could be the problem??

Custom TOC Image in WebHelp

Hi Guys.
I'm using RH 8. Is it possible to create a custom TOC image to use in WebHelp? I'm assuming I have to create an entire new skin, huh? Is there any simple way to get that started?

Hi,
Check out the Project Set-up Pod, and then Skins. You can add new skins there. It's probably easiest to create a new skin from the galery and modify that to your liking. Simply double click the skin and the Skin editor opens.

Unable to install supporting objects(custom CSS/Images) through SQL

we have a Apex app which uses custom CSS/images loaded into shared objects CSS and image folders respectively. I followed the steps

Now, this works fine when we manually import the application through application builder, it "prompts" if we want to install supporting objects, when yes is selected, everything gets installed.
MY problem is we have an automated patching process where the .sql application file gets installed but the supporting objects are not. So I tried bundling the supporting object as a separate .sql file but got an error

Thanks Fac586! I did follow the process on those lines and was able to successfully get the images, application installed. The CSS which just had
body {
     background-color:#000000;
}Was also applied. However, it for some reason does not work. Looks like the CSS is not getting loaded. When I delete the CSS and upload it again through the shared components->CSS folder, it works fine. Not sure what the solution is!

Custom Dashboards and widgets

Hi All,
I have created a custom dashboard with four reports on it.
I want to create a link under each report which when clicked opens up that particular report as a widget.
I created the link and i created a small widget and saved it as .html file on the desktop.
But whenever i try to insert the url of the widget on the link in the dashboard, it doesnt open up.
Any clues?

Missing performance counters when creating custom dashboard?

I've run into an issue when trying to create custom dashboards with performance views.
For example I have 2 servers with the same OS 2008 R2 one does not show the problem the other does.
The issue is that when I go in to create a custom dashboard and add a performance view the only counters listed for the problem server are network adapters. If I go to performance view on the server in scom it shows all the counters. The only place the counters
are missing is in the selection area for the dashboard performance view widget.
Do the performance views pull counter data from a different place then the dashboard performance widgets?
