Customized PR/PO Document Types
Hi Guys,
As we have Standard PR/PO doc types in the SAP System, why do we go for creating / customizing New 'Z'
doc types. What is the necessity to go for creating new doc type? In what situation do we need to configure
new doc types? How do we configire this, What are the assignments that needs to be taken care if we are to
configure new doc types?

Hi suresh!
There is lot of reasons to create new docu types for PR/PO. For example end users will not need to be concentrate on each entries in a PO document in ME21N. If the end users want to create a subcontracting PO they need to enter ITEM CATEGORY. This they cant do manually each time since the no of PO's generated will be high. Likewise to make ease for the needed entries when Acct.Assign/Item Category is mandatory for example creating separate docu types will be helpful for end users.. So Import PO's, Consignment PO's, Service PO's will be processed in separate docu types.
This is one of the factor. There r many other factors..
You can do the configuration settings in IMG>MM>PUR>PO>CREATE DOCU TYPES.
There we have to assign allowed item categories and Link the possible PR's fpr the PO docu type. Also you can have separate field selection group for each docu type. For this you have to define in IMG>MM>PUR>PO>DEFINE SCREEN LAYOUT AT DOCUMENT LEVEL. After creating here you have to assign it for each document types..

There is a field called "Check Partner Auth.", but it is necessary to create the order from a contract. This field is in sales document customizing VOV8.

Check partner authorizations
This check determines whether a partner is authorized to release against a contract.
Procedure
Here you can specify whether the check is to be performed against the partners in the contract or the partners in the customer hierarchy. If you do not want the check to be performed, leave the field blank.
When you create a release order for a contract, the system determines whether a partner is authorized to release against the contract. The check is performed at header level. Depending on the rule you enter in this field, the system checks against one of the following:
Partners in the contract
If the partner has the partner function AG (sold-to party) or AA (sold-to party authorized to release) in the contract, the system accepts the partner as the sold-to party for the release order.
Partners in the hierarchy
If the sold-to party of the contract is at a higher level in the customer hierarchy to the partner who wants to release against the contract, the system accepts the partner as the sold-to party for the release order.
Note
If you create a contract with reference to another contract, the system does not run a check and it copies all the partners created in the target contract. If you do not want it to do this, use copying control in Customizing to change it.

Getting split payment terms in case of customer credit memo(Doc type DG)
Hi Guys,
Is there any FM available for getting split payment terms in case of customer credit memo(Document type DG). There will be no invoice/billing doc for this document type and will be created from FB75 transaction. For billing document i am using FM SD_PRINT_TERMS_OF_PAYMENT_SPLI. Please let me know if there is any FM for accounting document also.

Settings have been made in Customizing specifying that document type ABCD is normally to be used for supplying plant 6600 and receiving plant 7700. However, you have chosen document type MNOP.
Procedure
Please choose the document type that has beem defined (ABCD).
Further notes
If this message is a warning, you can also continue with the originally chosen document type MNOP. The ordering process will then be handled in accordance with this document type.

You have created new document type for STO is MNOP & check the new STO document type MNOP is assigned to Supplying Plant, Receiving Plant or not. If not , just assign in following path:
SPRO --> Material Management -- > Purchasing-- > Purchase Order-- > Set up Stock Transport Order--- > Assign Document Type, One-Step Procedure, Underdelivery Tolerance
Note:
As another document type ABCD for STO is assigned to Supplying Plant, Receiving Plant, so system showing error message.

GL Accounts and Document types are independent in nature. You never link GLaccounts with document types.
How ever in Document types you configure the account types. ie Vendor accounts/customer accounts/Gl Accounts/ Mateial Acoounts/Asset accounts.
If you select vendor and customer in particular document types you can post only vendor/customer line items through this document type. System will not allow to post GL items in this category.

Can anyone tell me what I need to do if I want a ZNB purchase requisition type created rather then the usual NB? I also would like the same to occur for Purchase order type. What determines what order type gets created, once you have configured a "Z" document type?

With reference to your Recent query
(i.e, The document type ZNB is for PR and PO. I have one created for both documents. I am trying to get the system to automatically create the ZNB for purchase requisition doing MRP planning and to automatically convert the ZNB to a ZNB purchase order type.)
When you Run MRP, a PR of your own document type will be created, yes, you can do so like that,
For that you need to Setup some Configuration, is as follows:
Use t.code: OPPZ,
(i.e, the t.code is settings for MRP Group)
Select the Plant (for which you want to do it)
-> Create (press tab)
and
then -> Maintain Tab (here, you are maintaining MRP Group for External Procurement for your Plant)
then
-> press Maintain Tab (Maintain MRP Group screen will appears)
Here,
under External Procurement -
>
-> Scheduling /doc. type ( Press this tab )
Display view: "External Procurement for MRP Groups": Over view;
in the above Screen, there is a table like below: (need to config)
Plant Name1 MRP Group Name Doc Type SPO
XXXX YYYY ZZZZ External Procurement ZNB
Suggestion: In the above configuration, you are assigning (your own customized purchase requision document type, i.e, ZNB instead of NB (default) to your Plant and also to the MRP Group.
If you need path for the above Configuration setup:
in Display IMG:
-> MM -> Consumption-Based Plannning -> MRP Groups
then
-> Carry Out Overall Maintenance of MRP Groups
click on it on above
Maintain MRP Group for your Plant (t.code: OPPZ)
When MRP is carried out, then the requirement is generated that is PR is created automatically (of your own customized PR document type, that is here, ZNB)

Document Editor X12 Document Type 5030
Hi All
One of our Customer requested X12 Document Type 5030.
But in Oracle B2B Document Editor i can see only up to 5020.
So can any one Please guide me how can i get X12 Document Type 5030 in to Document Editor.
Do i need to install any patches to get this ??

I have Document Editor version 6.0.0.1476, and I still do not find EDI X12 version 5030.
I have contacted product management to get the EDI X12 update you need. In the meantime, I suggest you apply patch 5550097
to get you to 6.0.0.1476, which is required for the very latest B2B Server patches.

Billing due list problem with customized document types
Dear Team,
We have created a new Rental contract and Rental Invoice document types by copying the standard ones (MV & FV), while trying to get the Billing due list, unable to get the Rental Invoice type, rather the system is proposing the standard Invoice type (i have already changed the Billing type to the customized one in sales document type).
Can you please let me know the pre-requisites for the billing due list.

PO document type not transferring to Customs management
Hi,
We have configured PO document type in GTS for Import and it got transfer to Complaince not to customs. I have created CULOIM document type and item category on customs. when i checked on this table /SAPSLL/V_TLEYVS i couldn't find CULOIM document type.. When i try to create a new one it say CULOIM document type already exist...
I do not know why it is saying like that even document type not there in that table and where would i find that.
One more question:
When we assign document type to logical system on Customs we can see GTS document type field... when you press F4 you can see CD Cat - A... Can you tell me what is that and where do you define and assign to custom document type.

rc gopiYou can maintain the table by going into the SPRO and defining the doc tyoe you looking for , Onc eyou maintain there it reflects in in this table as it Configuration table.
If you want to delete , add any entry directly in table then u can do that by getting in debug mode.
Select a entry in table
Double click on it
Do /h to switch on the debugging
Press Enter
You will See different Case for "Code"
Type the filed name Code in in "field Name"
it will display the value 'SHOW' you can change this value as desire like to Delete 'DELE' , to insert new value 'AVNO' and then click on change pencil.
and press F8.
Now you come to the screen where u can do the changes and save it.
Custom Doc Category is taken automatically by SAP as for Export and Import doc type in customs it is always A.
If you cDefine Document Types for Advance Docs for Customs Declaration it is C.
Each category has got it one chateristics , so if we defining correct documnet type we need not to worry for category as it will by default come as set in SAP.

B2B Custom Document Type not getting identified
Hello,
I have installed Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g on my local machine and created a custom document type with proper .xsd definition and XPath Expression Identifier in Oracle B2B interface and configured its trading partners ( Host & Remote ) along with an agreement between the partners.
I have also configured the host listening channel of Generic-File type which picks xml files from my c:\orclsrvs_in folder.
My problem is that the moment I drop any sample file in the expected directory, it gets picked up from B2B , but there isn't any record of the same under Reports and Metrics links.
The Business message, Application message and Conversation message tabs are also not showing any information about the record picked, but in wire message tab, the record is shown in PROCESSING state.
I am not able to conclude whats wrong behind this.. where can i track the logs for the same ??

i came to know that B2B extracts the TP name from the filename itselfYes, in case of Generic File, Generic SFTP and Generic FTP, file name provides the necessary values to Oracle B2B to identify the Trading Partner. You can define your own file name format in the Delivery Channel under Transport Protocol Parameters in field "Filename format" (It's an optional field but it is always good to define your own format, otherwise B2B will take it's default format - TradingPartner_DocumentType_Revision_msgType_msgId_replytoMsgID_extension.xml ). Following Filename formats can be used -
%FROM_PARTY%
%TO_PARTY%
%DOCTYPE_NAME%
%DOCTYPE_REVISION%
%MSG_ID%
%TIMESTAMP%
These file name formats can be used in any combination; for example,
%TO_PARTY%_%DOCTYPE_NAME%_%DOCTYPE_REVISION%.dat
Note - Any file extension is allowed.
what are the system parameters to be set in weblogic console and how?? This activity is part of the pre and post installation steps. If you have done those without getting any errors then nothing else is required.
how shall I reinstall XEngine properly ??XEngine is part of B2B installation. If B2B gets installed without flashing any errors then we assume that other components of this part has installed properly.

Custom report with FAGLFLEXA and "Document type"
We have new GL and we must do a custom report like this:
Hierarchy of ProfitCentre ______Credit for mm.yyyy___ Debit for mm.yyyy
Profit centre 1_____________________ c1_______________d1
Profit centre 2_____________________ c2_______________d2
ect. ....
The value of c1 is the sum of monthly credit for a profit centre, for a group of accounts, but only for certain "document type".
The "Document type" is what worries me.
I have already written a similar report with Report Painter, reading data from the table FAGLFLEXT (0FL library), but took the full credit from the account (for all "document type"), without restrictions on the document type (the table FAGLFLEXT not contain the field "document type").
The data I need in my report, I can see with T. FAGLB03. Double-clicking on, for example, the value of credit you go into detail, and data can be selected for different "Document type". I still do not understand how it works and which tables use the T. FAGLB03 to have these data in detail.
Please, help me what exactly to do?My questions are these?
My principals questions are these:
1 . I think, inevitably, i have to link two tables: FAGLFLEXA (the one with the given to him) and GKFP that contains the field BLART (Document Type). This is the right way? Is there another way?
2 This report can be create with one of SAP tools: Report Painter, SAP Query, ... or the only solution is to write a program in ABAP?
3. If i'm not asking too much, you could give me a step-by-step description of how i should proceed?

I have requirement to add document type for the Attachment as shown below in COD_Account_TI screen.
I have highlighted in yellow is it possible to add custom document type.
1) Where we need to maintain in the configuration or we need require SDK ?
I have maintained 1 custom document type under the path :
Business Configuration --> Open All Activity --> Fine Tunes --> Activities --> Maintain Document Type
2) Is this correct path or we nee do maintain in another location or path?
3) if not possible using configuration ? How it is possible using SDK work?

We had this problem with the Hyperlinks.
You should look at your Event Handler from the Inport or the Event Handler of the query. Some Data Operation with assign function can lead to an infinite loop.
Like assigning the inport data field to your list that is bound with a custom query.

Customs document type cannot be determined for external document Type F8

Need help
I am trying to transfer F8 to GTS 10.1 and getting following message in GTS Transfer log for export:
Customs document type cannot be determined for external document Type F8
New implementation
GTS 10.1 running with SP 12
ECC side Plug-In settings are fine. BAdi is Active.(There is no document mapping for F8/CUSDEC as it is not required in 10.1)
GTS side configurations are also fine. Checked several times by 4 sets of eyes!!
(Include general settings configurations, Customs communication configurations:)
(Defining technical medium, conditions/output parameters, defining messages for communication process,
defining determination for activity sequence and control settings for communication process)
Despite this I am not able to trnasfer F8 successfully
Can someone throw some light on this issue please?

1) Legal regulation is activated. - Yes Activated
2) Process template assigned to the legal regulation - Yes Assigned
3) Activity Sequence determination - Yes done
4) Open the activity sequence in under Control settings for Communication processes and check if there is a document type assigned to it. Table- /SAPSLL/TLEPAF - Yes done.
It is really puzzling.
