Customizing a webpage

I created a website. But I needed help creating a button called TOP at the bottom of each page so that the viewer does not have to scroll to the top of the page everytime he needs to navigate to the next page as the nav bar is on the top.

No, I haven't tried it with FF. However, as far as the widget number is concerned I had so many widgets in some of the pages I just used those. I would go to the page, add #widget1 and try that. I increased the number until I go what I wanted. If none of them worked I added an new widget and upped the number to try it out. I had a couple of pages with up to 6 widgets. Didn't take to long to set it up at all. However, I will take a go at it with FF3. Thanks for the heads up.
Just checked and found 4 locations that did not work with FF3. FF3 opened up about 1" below where Safari did. Curiously FF3 wouldn't bring up my embedded StatCounter map that I had added via an HTML snippet and iFrame code. I had to check the option to accept 3rd party cookies before FF3 would display. Originally I had just to accept cookies from the what I guess was the original site, my page, which didn't cut the mustard.

Paypal Plus Card? Where are my points? View Card Details?

Hi, I signed up and was approved for a Paypal Extras Mastercard. Received it in the mail a few days ago and activated it. I have found there FAQ page to be 100% useless. I don't know if they wrote those answers for an outdated version, but its awful. PayPal should fire every single person involved in the credit card portion of their website design. We're dealing with money. I like to be 100% sure of what is going on. That's literally the only reason I signed up for this card. -Why am I still unable to find out when my monthly payments are due? -Why are there no text/email alert options like my other credit card company has (USAA)? -Why does the webpage Title say "Error - Credit Overview" when I click on the arrow to the right of the "PayPal Plus card" (whatever that is)? -There customer support webpages say the following:"Sorry, our online help information is temporarily unavailable. We’re trying to fix it right away. You can use the help links listed here, or try your search later." Awesome. And for what it's worth- I'm not some 95 year old man. I'm very computer literate. And this is probably the first website I have ever had trouble navigating. Before I got this credit card, I was 100% satisfied with paypal. Now I'm just sitting here scratching my head. This website is an atrocity. My frustration is not an exaggeration. I'm trying to build up my credit and I don't want to be **bleep** over due to a poorly designed website. I would appreciate any help.

I feel your pain, I also just got my card. and can't find anyweher online to find my info. I've got two paypal accounts business and personal and neither one has the info. They suck bigtme and they clain to help businesses MY **bleep**!!!!

How to publish pages made in third party software

On my "homepage" websites I can upload html pages created by third party software (Adobe GoLive CS2 in my case) onto my .Mac sites.
I can't find anything in iWeb about publishing custom-made webpages in iWeb and/or on the iWeb. Is this possible with iWeb? Or do I have to stick with the old way of doing things (creating new .Mac sites online and uploading my custom pages there)?

Well, I half-answered my own question here. I went into my iDisk folder, went to Web, Sites, iWeb, then chose the site I had created and put my own custom-built html page there. It uploaded automatically and now I can access it via the web without a problem. It shows up the way it's supposed to look as well.
So basically I can load them up, but there's not a way for me to fully integrate them with the other iWeb pages on that site. My custom page does not appear in the iWeb application under the site name, I can't add web counters to it, etc...

Session Count not dropping in BOE XI

Iam calling crystal reports using url reporting. ie. calling OpenDocument.aspx page from a custom asp webpage. Iam able to create a token and then redirect to the OpenDocument.aspx correctly. But iam facing 2 issues :
1. The session created does not get destroyed on browser close. So, as i open new reports that i have linked as various links on my intranet, new sessions are created. Old ones are not destroyed. this keeps incrementing session count.
2. In the same browser page, (which was idle for a period of time), if i try to open a new report, at times, iam led to the infoview login page although the redirecting url shows a token being passed. Now if i click the back button on IE and then try to open the report again, it opens.
Why does this happen ? What can be done to resolve these issues ?
Any advice is highly appreciated.

I was hoping that we could do some custom code from the openDocument page to clean up the sessions.
Now that we are not able to modify it, dont you think it is going to eat up memory resources on server when we move this to production where we have a large number of users who will be accessing different reports at the same time. We have quite a large number of reports available for access this way, and accessed by a large number of users. What do you think would be a good approach in this scenario ?

Itunes credit

I recently received, by ordinary mail, a $50 iTunes gift card that a Japanese colleague purchased while in Los Angeles. I live in Canada and when I attempted to redeem the card the code was refused saying it was only valid in the US store. The US store won't take it since I live in Canada. I contacted Apple support and they basically said TS. My options are to return the card to the sender, who could not use it in Japan any more than I can in Canada or give it away to some worthy recipient or to move to the U.S.
I did not ask for any kind of refund; I merely wanted them to change the store credit to Canadian dollars but this seems too complicated for their business model. Over the years I've spent tens of thousands of dollars on Apple products starting with the original Apple II and have procured hundreds of Apple computers for my employer. However this ends the love affair. I've already removed my credit card number from the iTunes store, will let my .mac account expire (been a member too long to be eligible for any kind of refund) and will neither buy nor recommend Apple products in the future.
I am completely confounded by their attitude which I really did not expect. Perhaps success is a corrupting agent. I do not expect that too many customers have faced a similar situation -- which is why I thought it could be solved -- but I'd be curious to know if anyone else got satisfaction for such a problem.

It should use the credit. But the way to make sure would be to remove your credit card details from iTunes, and then make the purchase. If it doesn't accept the credit, contact the iTunes Customer Service webpage.

Font issue with DW

I'm getting close to finishing my first site. I recently went online to test it out. I noticed on the desktop everything seemed fine. When I looked at it on my ipad I had a bunch of font issues. That reminded me of what I heard about building font stacks. I looked into it and I must be missing something because no matter what I do I can't seem to get the fonts to work on an outside machine. I'm using DW cs5

What John is saying is:
A computer can only display fonts that are installed on it. Anything else will display as unicode characters (looks like heiroglyphics) or if the system can do it, will be substituted with a default font (usually Tahoma or Arial).Try writing a document in WordPad using a custom font, and the delete the font from your system. When you open the document again you will either see an error message warning that the font is unavailable or heiroglyphics where your text was. Browsers don't give any warnings like a word processor does though.
I have over 4800 different fonts installed so the odds that I'll run into something on a webpage I can't view, in the designed font, are pretty slim.
The odds of the average user (whose computer only has about 246 fonts installed) seeing your custom font (calamity teen btn) are about one in a billion. Instead, the browser will substitute a "default" font for it, (usually Tahoma or Arial).
If you are building something for JUST your personal use and you are the only one who will ever see it, use whatever fonts you want. Your system has them installed and can display them in your custom designed webpages. More power to you. BUT...
If you are building it for the web (and over six billion potential visitors), stick to the standard web fonts.
Sure, it won't look as fancy as what you've just designed, but at least people will be able to see the fonts and the layout won't be all screwed up when Firefox, IE, Opera, Chrome or Safari makes a substitution.

Besides we are ignoring accessing by HTPP requests. Application is being access contents via RIDC API. Content access count of these access (actually no matter based on user, group nor another one in my case) just totally could be enough for us. In other words, my custom application webpage needs to show TopTen Usage/Access Contents on ucm. Is that expectaion in YES group?
I googled abit regarding to your mentioned about ContentTracker component and link you shared. Looked at ucm/cs Administration/SystemAuditInformation/ComponentResports navigation and i see below. I think we need to enable that. For now i dont know how to.

Computer stolen, can i get my music back

i just had my computer stolen 2 weeks ago and need to know if it is possible to re-download the music i have paid for? i just spent an hour searching through the support section and can not find out if it is possible.

Although the policy of the iTunes Store is as stated, there have been occasional reports on this forum of a second download being allowed if you have a good reason and do not ask more than once. No guarantees, but worth asking via the iTunes Customer Service webpage.
Another option is to get the stuff off your iPod. This is deliberately designed not to be easy, but can be done with 3rd party software. Zevoneer has a good rundown on the possible tools; just search on this forum.
Finally, to pile on the excellent advice you have already been given, *make a backup.*

SQL Azure vs Storage

I will be storing tens or hundreds of thousands of customer's webpages. I will be storing the images within them as blobs in storage, but I need to store the HTML in searchable form. The HTML text
should be no more than 30-40MB
I don't know whether the HTML text is best kept in a SQL table or in storage, linked by ID and metadata in the database.
Scalability is a big concern, but I will also want to be able to do searches based on text as well the metadata (e.g. search for "some phrase" in all files linked to a user's ID and her friends' IDs).
Advice on the correct approach would be much appreciated.

I'm looking for a solution (WLC 4400) which enables employees to browse to a custom made webpage, where they can create an account for company vistors to access the internet. It's important for the employees not use any login credentials, they arrive on a webpage where they specify the login & password which the vistor will enter to browse the internet. Some of songs are cutting out............

I bought this Ipod when it first came out. I have not had this problem since moments ago. Some music videos I have will not even play, and they used too, but they play perfectly in my ITunes. Same goes for some songs except that I get about half way through a song and it quits that song all by itself and goes into the next song. Can anyone help me resolve this issue???

If it is a brand new song, do not waste your time trying to "fix" it. As you would do with any defective product, contact the retailer for a replacement or refund. If the retailer was the iTunes Store, use the iTunes Customer Service webpage.

This sounds like a virus or malware program that has made its way onto your computer. I would ensure you have the latest virus definitions on your computer and run a thorough (complete) scan of your system. As i understand you want to add read more link for rest of items in listview webpart. You can create new view and set item limit in that view then add that list as webpart on webpart-->edit your webpart-->select view from view selection dropdpwn-->
save it
Later add one CEWP and use html <a> tag to redirect to your main list when clicks on it. Here is the steps to do this:

Unable to open the a webpage in the custom tab in internet explorer.

Hi all-
I created a custom tab in the Siebel-On-Demand CRM and everyone have ability to view and access the tab. People are able to see and open a webpage in custom tab in mozilla firefox browswer; however, it doesn't allow me open a page in custom tab in IE and get the "Navigation to the webpage was canceled".
Anyone has any idea?

Register custom webpage on R12

Today I try register my webpage on customer's server, it can not run. When I open pdf window, the system shows "404 Not Found-Resource /OA_HTML/0 not found on this server". However I can run the page on my Jdeveloper smoothly. This is the integration between OAF and XML publisher.
Please help me to resolve this issue.
