Customizing default LDAP attributes. Is it possible?

Hello,
Does anybody knows if there is a way to give default LDAP attributes (such mail, mailAlternateAddress, and so on...) write permissions?
There is some notes explaining how to customize 'extra' LDAP attributes, but nothing about default ones.

What are you trying to achieve? The attributes you're talking about are there to be written by the admin user(s) for provisioning users. If you're having problems writing them, what user do you use?

is it possible to route an email to a recipient based on an LDAP attribute like mailsystem or ldap attribute domain ?
We have an infrastructure with domino and Xchange. All users have a - so called - maindomain.net SMTP Address.
Is it possible to manage such routing via mail policies or message filters ?
Or is it just easy to realize this jjust with SMTP routing list ? e.g. maindomain.net gets an entry in SMTP routing pointing to the domino gateway ... if no delivery is possible the default gateway (Xchange gateway) would be used instead ?

ISE 1.1.1. and additional LDAP attribute retrieval

Hello All,
I'm authenticating users against Active Directory and want to also check additionals attributes from LDAP. In ACS 5.3. it was possible to set this up via External Identity Sequence, but in ISE I don't see this possibility. I can set sequence only for authentication, but not for additional attribute retrieval.
When I set a condition in a policy that an LDAP attribute must match with some value, the attribute is not retrieved and autorization ends on default Deny Access.
Can anyone help me how this can be set on ISE?

How to associate LDAP attributes with the subject?

I am writing a custom role mapper and want to determine the roles of the subject
depending on values of LDAP attributes. Is it posssible to associate LDAP attributes
with the Subject?
We use iPlanet and hence I have configured iPlanetAuthenticator as the Authentication
Provider. Is it possible to configure iPlanetAuthenticator so that the LDAP attribute
values are associated with the subject? Or is it possible to extend iPlanetAuthenticator
for this purpose?
Is there a way to do this other than writing my own AuthenticationProvider?

Set Default Report Attributes

Hi,
Is is possible to set the default report attributes for interactive reports so when I create a new one I don't have to go through and change the defaults. Basically I want to set the "Show Null Values as" variable to null rather than a dash for all newly created Interactive Reports, I know I can change the value once the report is created but I'd rather it default to null in case I forget to change it.
I've searched though the interface and OTN with no luck, any ideas?

Standard reports (and hence the evil that is tabular forms) store sort columns persistently as user preferences. The <tt>apex_util.remove_sort_preferences</tt> method can be used to remove them, resetting reports to the default sort order. However this is not a precision instrument: it removes the user's sort preferences for all reports...
It is possible to remove the sort preference for individual reports using the <tt>apex_util.remove_preference</tt> method by reverse engineering the required sort preference name from the admin user preference report.

Custom default value in view row class

How do I set a custom default value in a view row class?
There is no create method to override, and I cannot seem to determine whether it's a new row or existing row in the code.
The IDE wizard says it's possible, I can't find it in the documentation.

I actually need to pull the custom value from the current row of another view object.
Client uses a combobox to select a 'Location'. Then in the other view objects, I use that location for all new rows. This way they only select their location once.

Address Book now showing all LDAP attributes

The Address Book does not provide access to all LDAP attributes. For example
homePhone
homePostalAddress
labeledURI
are some of the fields currently left out. It would be nice if it was possible to configure the schema mapping, similar to thunderbird which allows the mapping off all the field it know about to corresponding LDAP attributes. Also inetOrgPerson, even though it is the defacto standard is rather due for redesign.
I am just wondering if anybody else if having this problem and if they found a solution?

As always, thank you for your excellent insight into the internals of BEA WebLogic.
I now have a better understanding of what happens "by default" in WLS. I do agree
that changing this now would definitely break existing applications. It's always
difficult to decide when to officially deprecate a "feature" or to leave it in
forever.

Q: Disable LDAP-caching of SGD possible ?

Hi,
is it possible to disable the LDAP-Caching of SGD ?
The SGD v4.41.907 asked always the LDAP without caching the query-results.
Therfore, my LDAP-agttribute-based assignment of application works well.
In the current SGD v4.50.933 do not care about changes
to my LDAP-attributes until flushing the cache
"tarantella cache --flush all".
Is there a way to tell SGD always using the LDAP and not caching the queryresults ?
Also, do somebody know how long does the SGD caches the results ?
May i have to create a one-minute crontab entry to flush the cache...

Which LDAP attribute is utilized by CertStore to retrive certifications?

I find that CertStore and LDAPCertStoreParameters and X509CertSelector and X509CRLSelector can be used to extract certifications from LDAP.
What i can not figure out is,
which LDAP attribute uses by these class to extract certifications?
for example we have person class in LDAP which one of its attribute can be userCertificate, how does these class figure out what is name of these attribute?
maybe they uses some other mechanism, and my assumption are not correct?

Imagine that i have the following requirement, what could be possible steps to implement it?
I need to check and see whether a digital certification belongs to a user or not.
user will gives it uid and digital certification.
here is one way that i have in my mind:
-Search the LDAP for that user.
-Extract the userCertificate attribute as binary
-Create a X509 certificate from it
-Compare it with what user provides.
Is it a good way?
Does all of the above steps are do-able?
Do you have suggestion to improve the procedure or make it more standard ?

I am trying to design a standard framework for our developers using the portal
(e.g., standard header, footer, etc). In particular, I would like to change a
couple of default page attributes such as "hidden" and "layout type". Any ideas

Default dynamic attributes and weightings on BID invitation

Based on certain business logic i need to default dynamic attributes and weightings on bid invitation transaction BBP_BID_INV,
I tried to do some code in method BBP_QUOT_CHANGE of BADI
BBP_DOC_CHANGE. The execution doesn't stop at that method as i put a breakpoint there.
However it does stop at BBP_BID_CHANGE method, i could not use this method because et_weight internal table is not available there ( i need to populate something in weightings) although ET_DYN_ATTR is available.
Question is , for what purpose BBP_QUOT_CHANGE is used ?

BBP_QUOT_CHANGE method is used for QUOTATION.Whenever any change is done in the Quotation then this method is triggered.

I've tried everything to get a custom umask set for all apps. It just seems impossible...
Is there a replacement for launchd-user.conf?
