Customizing HR Renewal landing page in SAPUI5

Hi Experts,
We are just trying to explore the HR Renewal process for one of our client. Since we are totally new to this will you please guide us to customize the landing page which is built on SAPUI5? We just want to know how could we add some links on this landing page and arrange the blocks in order which our client wants. Currently we are just able to see the screen like below
Please help us out.

Siddharth - We have hidden this toggle settings by Using the CSS . You can hide the IMAGE which control the settings.We were able to do that.

How do you add portable links to the Custom Landing Page

I have customized the PS2 Landing Page. This will be deployed to multiple environments. I need the url links on the page to be portable and point to a location on the server it is running on. (ex. anyHost.oracle.com/xyz where anyHost will be the server this is running on).
I've tried using EL in the goLink : destination="http://#{facesContext.externalContext.request.serverName}/xyz"
and also:
goLink: destination="http://#{landingBean.host}.oracle.com/xyz"
where the code is:

No content appearing in Landing Page chips: HR Renewal 1.0 FP 4

Hi All,
We have installed HR Renewal 1.0 FP 4 on the ECC EHP6 system and NW 7.3 Portal.
Have the SAP Gateway system (on NW 7.4) configured separately from the ECC backend system.
We have performed all the configuration steps mentioned in the HR Renewal admin guide to get the landing page.
We are having several issues accessing the landing page.
While trying to access landing page from standard SAP_PAO_HRPROFESSIONAL_3 role in ECC backend system, we get an error and landing page not getting displayed.
2. While trying to access landing page with server/port of gateway system, we got the SPB admin page running, where we can add catalogs and add chips to it. However, when trying to access the landing page for ESS/MSS/HR Admin, the items within partcular chip is not appearing e.g. In ESS, we have chips like Search, MyInfo, MyServices, etc. There is nothing getting displayed within MyInfo chip as shown below and it keeps on loading....
We used F12 to see the errors while running this page. (find the snapshot fig. 2)

As per the HR admin config guide, we have activated all the services under /sap/bc/ui5_ui5. As you can see in the error, it is trying to look for the
services which are present in a different path on the gateway server (The server/host used in this path are that of gateway). The service here in the screenshot - HRESS_MYSRV_G is actaully a part of /sap/opu/sap.
It would be really of great help if you can provide us some inputs/suggestions so that we will be able to get links inside the chips and proceed further.
Also please let us know what steps we need to perform so as to access landing page from ECC backend role successfully.

can anyone help how to develop the below kind of UI in my SP 2013 KM portal using cqwp/cewp/ jquery.
i tried with the custom visual web part, but my customer says they want me to use client side / OOTB feature of SP.
i am wanting to display the same in the landing page. so that when end users click "More" they will be navigated to the
All Announcements Page [ may be its a page layout in pages library ].
the other tricky part am seeing is how to show these individual/single announcements in a scrolling manner.

Opening .xlsm file sin SharePoint site landing page

I'll begin by saying Hello to the forum. I have only very recently started using MS SharePoint within our company, having had no previous experience of it, so please expect quite a few 'beginners' questions coming this way over the coming months.
To manage our data maintenance processes, I have developed a set of form applications within Excel, using VBA to provide a user-friendly interface to the data requestor/providers within our business. Of course it is very difficult to provide any kind
of manageable/visible workflow solution using only Excel and so the business has made the decision to utilise SharePoint as the host.
We currently have a split between data objects where a workflow solution has been created for customer/vendor, using my form applications as the data entry tool. Materials however currently sit within a document library on a department SharePoint site.
The site was created by A.N.Other who has now left the business and I have therefore been tasked with managing it. Initially, this is as simple as updating and loading the .xls/.xlsm form applications to the document library.
And so, to my first problem. Where a visitor to the site navigated directly to the document library and clicked on an .xlsm file, they were presented with an error message that states:-

The problem is that on the landing page of our department site, we have a side navigation menu that links to some of the most frequently used files. If the visitor clicks on any of these files (which of course point to the same source
document) they again see the error message, and no matter how hard I look, I am unable to find the option to make the file open in the client application from here.
I was hoping that the experts here may be able to advise on where I may find this option, if available?

Excel Services is clearly out due to the VBA and Macro elements you've added.
Just to present an alternative point of view for this. If you want to surface just ONE spreadsheet on a homepage, this can be done but it involves a slightly different route about it.
The Page Viewer Web Part might present an alternative for you. I don't know if it'll disable the warning dialog boxes but it might be worth a try. More info can be seen here

If that one doesn't work, there is another trick in which we can try importing an earlier version of this tool from SharePoint 2003 (which oddly enough was actually better!) to see if that'll help.

How to add maintenance message on EBP landing page?

Folks,
I'm trying to customize the welcome/landing page ( the page that users get immediately after logging in).
I can add our company logo there. However, I'm trying to add a maintenance message.
For example, this would allow us to notify the user community about system outages or new functionalities or any other maintenance message. Ideally, the message should come from a custom table which can be maintained directly using a view. If SAP provides such table, then it is cool too!
Pls. let me know how we can accomplish this in SRM 4.0
Points would be given for helpful answers!

1) You can change mime files with transaction SE80 --> internet service --> BBPGLOBAL. Please don't forget to publish your files (local with SRM 5.0 integrated ITS).
2) You need to change the template to do this. Import your Logo as MIME object and replace the present logo with your new logo. Also, You can try to change this text in service BBPGLOBAL under HTML Templates -->LOGIN page. There you have a line "<title>SRM - Enterprise Buyer Welcome!</title>".May be you can change the text form here..I dont have access to system but you can give this a try...

I am trying to set up a user log in page where after the user logs in using their user name and password they are then redirected to a User Page where they can update their profile. How do I get the submit button to redirect to a new page?

You specify a secure zone landing page in admin under secure zone details.
When customer logs in they'll be taken to that page.

How to display full screen in landing page

I'd like to create a landing page with own menu bar above, and open the iView in the frame.
any idea how to do this ?

Landing Page with Buy now Buttons for products?

Hi,
I've been searching all morning and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction please.
We have 1000 products on BC and I wanted to create a custom landing style page offering 3 set products that people can click to buy now. ie just a simple buy now button.
I don't want it to look like our normal small or large catalogue but as a separate landing page.
I would like when the customers to click Buy Now or Add to Cart that it adds them to the cart.
e.g
blah blah blah
large image of the item
underneath = Buy Now / Add to cart
blah blah blah
large image of the item
underneath = Buy Now / Add to cart
etc.
I tried using {module_product} inseting the item but it only shows a tiny pic and has no buy now button.
I also tried inserting an actual html code of the products button, but it didn't work either.

If I just create them as text is there a product specific buy now button I can insert so that item gets added?

My routine, as always, has been to do the pages in iWeb and then using iWeb I select "Publish site changes" to a folder locally on my drive. Then, using Transmit (and I have used Cyberduck) I upload the folder of files and the file ending in .html for the changed pages to my server that hosts the site. What you are telling me is that either iWeb is not "publishing" all the changed files to my local folder, or there are files that are located somewhere else within the structure of the site that I have failed to upload.
I looked for paste.css files and found it in the scripts > regions or whatever folder but these are not files that I typically have ever looked for or uploaded when changing a page in iWeb.

Landing page error, no server connection

I have exactly the same issue as the original poster below, I spent 3 hours of my only night off during the week of which 1 hour was in the chat que, an hour later and still no better, apparently there may be a problem at BT end. Brilliant service BT well done. I don't want the landing page, I just want my emails back before I just decamp to Virgin Media, and it's oh so tempting!,
Sort this out please....

The only way would normally be to check the BT outages page but if you look through the thread immediately above this one in the list (it's called "cannot connect to mail server") you'll see that BT/Critical Path in their wisdom (or should that be ignorance - in the sense of not knowing what is going on) seem to no longer be posting any outages on their own websites. What a state of affairs for the prime service provider in the UK to have come to this nadir of customer care. BT you really should be ashamed of yourself. And I notice that some subscribers who have had their emails disrupted have been offered a free month for their broadband - is this going to apply to all of us??? Note that I'm not holding my breath.

Landing Page Default to Contract Management

Hello Experts,
Basically, Whenever a user login to the CLM system, he will be landed on Home Page(Over view page) by default. Pls refer the below snapshot.
I have a requirement where in, the customer wants to make Contract Management Workbench as a default landing page for all the users who login to the CLM system..

mdex is on 15001. I copied the disconver -electronics apps and rename it to my application name for webapp. I did change assembler-context and assembler.properties file. I also change my ResultList.jsp file to match properties I have created. I have also updated cartridges in apps/<my app>/config/cartridge_templates. Still same error is coming. What should I do?

Landing page Action is called twice for single submit

I am having submit action in Anonymous page,while iam clicking that button it calls the action only once.
but in the same thing is act different in Landing page,here it's calling the action twice.iam using portal server 6.1 and also iam doing custom Authentication.Plz solve my problem

HR Professional Landing Page not appearing

We have three system :
1. ECC Backend System
2. Separate Gateway System
3. Web Dispatcher
1. Backend System : Activate all the services as mentioned in various forumns and HR Renewal Administrative Guide.
2. Gateway : Activate OData Services in Gateway System and assigned System Alias.
Activated OData Service. System aliases is Backend System.
3. Created User with same id and password in Backend System and Gateway System
4. Assigned Role ZSAP_PAO_HRPROFESSIONAL_4 copied from SAP_PAO_HRPROFESSIONAL_4 in Backend System.
Assigned http://<webdispatcher>:<Port>/sap/bc/ui5_ui5/sap/ARSRVC_SUITE_PB/main.html?page=SPB_LANDING_PAGE in landing page.
with standard catalogue X-SAP-UI2-PAGECHIP?PAGEID=PAO_HRPROFESSIONAL_02
5. When I am executing above it redirects to Gateway with URL :
https://<gatewayserver>:<port>/sap/bc/ui5_ui5/sap/ARSRVC_SUITE_PB/main.html?page=SPB_LANDING_PAGE
Following error message appearing. "No Catalogue assigned to User"
When I execute the Admin Link http://<webdispatcher>:<Port>/sap/bc/ui5_ui5/sap/arsrvc_spb_admn/main.html catalogue are not appearing.

We checked but Issue is we are not seeing the catalog in admin page. Most of the installation in forums are Local Gateway but we have separate gateway.
When I execute the Admin Link http://<webdispatcher>:<Port>/sap/bc/ui5_ui5/sap/arsrvc_spb_admn/main.html
No HR Professional Catalog.
