Hi All,
First thanks all for your help and sorry for the delay.
Here are some precisions:
     - RFC Agent is correctly connected to SAP BW systems.
     - Basic ABAP programs (such as RSUSR000) are successfully executed in BW Systems
     - The SAP BI version is 7.0
     - XBP 2 is used
I was told to do some user configuration in SAP in order to make the process chain run via SCPS: there is a part in the help of redwood explorer saying some specific instructions must be applied in SAP BI:
The quote :
"To check or set the SAP BW user for background processes:
Go to Administration > Settings > Customizing (transaction SPRO).
Click on SAP Reference Img (German: BIW).
Expand the tree to find BW Customizing Implementation Guide > Business Information Warehouse > Automated Processes > Create User for Background Processes. (German: BIW > Automatisierte Prozesse > Benutzer fuer Hintergrund anlegen.)
Click on the hourglass (Maintain Activity) for that row.
Fill in the new username, for instance: BWALEREMOTE."
Issue is now that these exact mentionned items and menu do not exist (?) or at least were not found in our SAP BW systems by our SAP Administrator. The help file do not mentioned the version of SAP BI. Is there a compatibility issue ? I mean we have for instance a defined user ALEREMOTE but do not know if it has the same authorizations than the mentioned BWALEREMOTE.
Have someone an idea of the problem encountered ?

Yi Jiang

    Dear Thom,
The procedure for procuring and installing the license is given in the Quick Install Guide for Redwood which you would have used to install the process scheduler.
Kindly follow the process and procure the license.

  • Create PO with SAP, but process invoice outside of SAP?

    Hi All,
I am trying to resolve the following situation:
    1. CompanyBuyer purchases computers on behalf of CompanyB and CompanyC. The POs are created in SAP.
    2. Company B allows CompanyBuyer to receive their invoices and process in SAP. CompanyBuyer then passes on the costs to CompanyB.
    3. CompanyC does NOT allow CompanyBuyer to receive and process their invoices. Instead, CompanyC wants to process their own invoices in their own system (non-SAP).
Can CompanyBuyer create POs for CompanyC even though no invoice will be entered into SAP?
If so, how would you go about doing this (don't want the PO value left in SAP with no action)?
    Thank you very much.
    Danielle

    Hi Danielle,
As per the details given by you, there should be no problem with company 'B', as the transaction is completed in SAP.
While for company 'C' you can continue to create the PO's in SAP and process the invoices in Non-SAP system. All you have to do is transfer the relevant data from the Non-SAP system to R/3 and run a background batch job at a predefined period (eg. every night) to update the POs back in SAP.
There are various methods available for this like IDOCs, BAPIs, BDCs, RFCs etc.
Hope this resolves your issue !!

  • Issue with Consolidate Action through Batch Process

We find that when "Load" reports an error, "Consolidate" does not fire - only from Batch. When processing manually, Consolidate fires regardless of Load errors.
We are using an Essbase load rule that results in records continuing to be loaded, when there are kickouts. So, the Essbase API is returning an error code to FDM [that's fine].
We want to run a calc script whether or not the load errors.
Again, with a "manual" process - no problem. But Batch stops prior to firing Consolidate.
We checked the Batch flag - we set it to "10" (Consolidate) and even "12" (Check).
    Any thoughts?
We are trying to avoid altering the Load Action code to execute the Essbase calc within that code set.
Any inputs regarding this issue would be greatly appreciated.

  • Actions - Time of Processing

    Hi CRM Gurus,
    I have 2 questions.
    1. In CRM config,(crmc_action_conf) , we have Time of Processing where we can tell when to process the action based on following options.
      1. Immediate processing.
      2. When Saving
      3. Process using Selection Report.
Here the selection Report means 'RSPPFPROCESS'  program? OR any other programs are there?
    2. If RSPPFPROCESS program process the actions , then that means all the actions configured in TIme of Processing option
must be selected as   'Process Using Selection Report', then only RSPPFPROCESS program will pickup OR
if I use the other 2 options : Immediate Processing OR When Saving , the program 'RSPPFPROCESS' will pickup if there are actions ready to process.
Why did SAP give the above 2 options(1 & 2) in the selection screen of the RSPPFPROCESS program?  Isn't the program should pickup only actions that are configured for 3 option(Process using selection report)?
    Pls clarify.
    Thanks,
    Pandu

    Hi Pandu,
The RSPPFPROCESS program, asyou might already know, is a monitoring tool to check for actions that were processed/incorrectly processed/not processed, from a central area.
In the event you want to execute, multiple actions at once or repeat them etc, you can do the same from here.
    as for your Q2
To an extent your question is understandable as to why the options.(but its like asking why "Son" and "Sun" are pronounced the same???)
It is understood that all the actions of type "Immediate Processing" or "Processing when Saving" would have already processed during the transaction creation & save respectively.
If you want to repeat any of these in bulk, the program is a good tool for that.
Plus, all those that result in an error or arent processed, of course can be reexecuted from here as well.
So, all 3 options have their purpose within here.
For the ones with Selection report, unless you want to manually go into the ACTION MONITOR and execute, each time, a batch job is used, which takes care of such actions.

    Ashwin

  • Why Central Process Schulding?

    Hi All,
Client is using SAP 4.6 c and  they want to implement SAP Central Process Schulding .
So i have some questions about CPC.
1)What does the functionality consist of?
2)Benefits of implementing such functionality with respect to SM36 SM37?
    3)Pre-requisites to such implementation?
    Regards
    Trilochan

    Hi Trilochan,
Two versions of CPS are available:
    - a NetWeaver integrated version, requiring a NetWeaver 7.0 or higher Java stack somewhere
    - a standalone version, not requiring any NetWeaver Java stack but requiring an Oracle database somewhere
The requirements only apply to the system where you install the central components of CPS, not for the systems CPS connects to: the SAP systems you connect to CPS to monitor and control jobs can be of SAP versions going back to 3.1 approximately.
So if you already have or can install a NetWeaver 7.0 Java stack, you can deploy the latest version of CPS there and use it to handle the jobs in your NetWeaver 2004 system (and/or the 4.6c system you mentioned earlier).
If not, you can start with the standalone version. If possible, I'd recommend to start with the NetWeaver integrated version, this saves you an upgrade of CPS later.
    Regards,
    Anton.

  • Using actions and batch processing to maximize compatibility on old psd files

My apologies if this has been answered -- in my search I saw that it was asked multiple times, but not answered.
My goal is to be able to import 5 years of PSD files into Lightroom that were originally saved with maximize compatibility turned off. These files are in shoot folders within year folders.
I have been trying to do this with an action and batch processing through Bridge (Tools>PS>Batch). After switching preferences to MC=always, I have tried an action with a Save command, but that doesn't switch the file to max compat on. Save As does, but it also fixes the destination of the save in the action to a specific folder. I want to be able to overwrite the existing PSD file, leaving it where it is.
Has anyone successfully tackled this issue? I know I can handle it folder by folder, with an action for each folder, but that just wouldn't be cool.
    Thank you

L Show - Yes, I found a way and did just that.
Everything as you wrote, using the save-as option. Yes, it will put the folder name into the action BUT it will override it when you run your batch from bridge IF you check in the box "override action save-as command" (and destination: save and close).
Works like a charm (although slow - not utilizing the multiple cores :( )

  • Difference between SAP PI ( Process Integration ) and SAP PO ( Process Orchestration )

    Hi,
What is SAP PO ( Process Orchestration ) ?  How SAP PO is different from SAP PI.
    Regards
    Ravi Grover

    Hi Ravi,
You can refer above helpful links, shared by hareesh and Harish
Here is one heirarchy for better understanding of NW PO
PI is straight forward : either Single Stack(AEX) or DS
In SAP NW PO(bundle of PI + BPM + BRM)  we have 3 options:
    1. We have Single stack option , on one System i.e. All together, BRM(Java) + BPM(Java) + PI(AEX)
    2. We have Single stack option, on Seperate Systems i.e. {BRM(Java) + BPM(Java)} on one system + PI(AEX) on seperate
    3. BPM(Java) + BRM(Java) on one system and PI(DS) on one system
However PI 7.31 can also be installed individually(i.e. without NW BPM and BRM)
    Thanks,

  • Problem with PDF Actions in SAP MII 12.2

    hi all,
I'm trying to generate PDF documentation work in 12.2 version of MII. Below are the steps followed as per note 1325997
I've downloaded the PDF Actions files:
Downloaded the iText.jar and iTextAsian.jar files.
Custom action updated with PDFActions.jar as the assembly .jar file, and iText.jar and iTextAsian.jar as the dependency .jar files and Deployed the custom action.
Workbench does show up with PDF action blocks like PDF Document, PDF Table...etc but seems to be an issue as these do not look like the standard actions with no icons attached to them.
I've tried to create a new transaction and include any actions to the sequence, but no luck as it doesn't assigns the PDF action
i've downloaded iText.Jar and iTeaxtAsian.jar files from iTEXT website. please inform if exact version i-e 1.4.5 files
are available on SAP downloads (if any).
    Is anything missing..?
    Appreciate any efforts.....
    Regards,
    Zaigham

    Hi Zaigham,
Follow the steps as mentioned below.
    1. Download PDFActions.jar as per SAP Note 1109054.
    2. Download iText 1.4.5 from http://www.java2s.com/Code/Jar/i/Downloaditext145jar.htm
    3. Download iTextAsian (Latest Version) from http://sourceforge.net/projects/itext/files/
        extrajars --> extrajars 2.0.zip
After you unzip the files take only itext-asian.jar
    4. Rename itext-1.4.5.jar to iText.jar
    5. Rename itext-asian.jar to iTextAsian.jar
    6. Zip all the three files (PDFActions.jar, iText.jar and iTextAsian.jar) to one zip file and name it PDFActions.zip
Final Step --> upload and deploy the zip file PDFActions.zip in MII custom Actions.
    Hope it solves your problem.

  • Raising Customer Messages with SAP OSS on BCS issues

    Hi guys,
I'd be keen to know everyone's opinion on raising customer messages with SAP OSS, in particular on BCS.
Often I find that my colleagues are hesitant to raise a note with SAP because they think it either takes too long or they don't get a satisfactory answer.
Whereas as soon as I see something fishy, that I cannot explain I will check my logic once more, check on SDN, check existing OSS notes, then raise a Customer Message immediately (while I continue to investigate/test).
This is partly due to my experience that half the time I feel like a guinea pig in BCS, perhaps because BCS is not as widespread as other modules and i may be the first to try something so may be first to experience the problem.
The first line response (often from Shanghai) usually tries to send the message straight back but I find with a little persistence, clear (and irrefutable) documentation , you soon get through to the experts in Germany (or is it Czech Rep?) who actually understand the issue.
The client has paid a lot of money for the service through their SAP licensing and maintenance fees, so I have no qualms about 'reporting a product error' when I see one.
Also, I find a lot of BCS documentation is out of date, not updated as new releases/EHPs come out, eg I recently relied on the contents of OSS note 936590, which was wrong for BCS 604. So I raised a customer message and requested that they update it, which has now been done - this is too late for me but might help someone else.
Raising a Customer Message with OSS is not an excuse to avoid doing your job, but where there is a genuine error in BCS, I encourage others to raise OSS notes and persis with them until a satisfatcory response is received.

    Concur with TheScotsman.
The situation is almost the same: the 1st line support (India) very often beat back the costomer message without going deep into the problem. However, if we persist and provide additional details (or when the message was made very professionally and bypassed the 1st line) the message was rerouted to consultants from Czeck Rep.). In this case the progress was significant. Since the client do not provide access to the system, in a couple of times we made a remote session: the support guy gave directions what to do in the system and where to look for some details. The problems were solved in a half an hour.

  • Project server 2010: job stuck in queue with state Waiting to be Processed (Sleeping)

    Hi,
I have a job in the queue that is stuck. The job type is "TimeSheet Update Resource" and the job state is "Waiting to be processed (Sleeping)". This is happening with only one user. Other users can edit, save, and submit timesheets normally as it appears.
Can't figure out the problem! I tried restarting the queue and timer service with no success. Any suggestions much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    George

Since you already identified issue is user specific, I think now you need to have a look in to ULS log to undestand really whats happening in the background.
Try  editing the user from PWA>>>Server Settings>>Manager users
Click on the user and without making any change click on save, monitor the queue

  • Customer consignment with intercompany process

    Hello,
Has anybody worked on Customer consignment with intercompany process. If yes, what are the main points to be taken into or configured for this process ?
    regds

    Hello Intercompany Gurús
I would like to know in case posible, the drawbacks of the folloing situation:
We have 2 plants, 1 selling plant (Plant1)in company code and 1 shipping plant (Plant2) in anothr company code working inside interconmpay +  consignment process, plant 2 ships directly to cutomer consignment of plant 1´s customer (no phisical recepction in plant 1)
Customer place a Consignment fill up order in plant 1
Plant 1 place a PO for qtys needd to plant 2 as the consignment fill up order is intrcompany as well so PO is generated
Plant 2 generates a New Consignment Fill Up order with sold to as plant 1 and ship to customer consignment door
Plant 2 makes PGI and place stock in cutomer consignment line (ship to) and plant1 (sold to)
Plant 2 generates an intercompany invoice to plant 1
Customer will invoice to plant 1 base on consumption
So no reception is needed in plant 1
    Is it posible this scenario?
    Thanks and regards
