Customizing KM to order by for file as target
Hi
I have to do an order by when I load data into file as my target.
I tried to customize IKM SQL to File Append in the step insert step by changing it to
insert into <%=snpRef.getTargetTable("TABLE_NAME")%>
<%=snpRef.getColList("", "[COL_NAME]", ",\n\t", ",", "INS and TRG") %>
<%=snpRef.getColList("", "[COL_NAME]", ",\n\t", "", "INS and !TRG") %>
values
<%=snpRef.getColList("", "[EXPRESSION]", ",\n\t", ",", "INS and TRG") %>
<%=snpRef.getColList("", ":[CX_COL_NAME]", ",\n\t", "", "INS and !TRG") %>
ORDER BY
<%=snpRef.getColList("","[EXPRESSION]","","","UD1")%>
And I tagged the column in designer as UD1. But doesn't seem to be working. Any one tried it before.

Hi,
Can you use ODisqlunload to create a file, in that u can mention the query and order by clause in a easy way.
And then check whether the order is as you want it to be.

APD, filename for file data target
Hello,
i am designing a APD process with a file as process target.
I can hardcode the file path and name in the data target properties, however i would rather set the filename by user input or by a abap routine (eg. include the date of APD execution in the file name). Is that possible?
Thanks in advanceHi,
You can use the option 'Logical File Name' option to create a dyanmic file name.
You can define a Logical File Name in tcode 'FILE', where you can append system date, time, varaible to a static file name.
Hope this helps. -
Regarding download customer.fmb and order.fmb
Hello,
Can you please let me know from where can i download customer.fmb and order.fmb for oracle forms 6i.
Please explain that when do we use set_BLOCK_PROPERTY, i have gone through documents there are few examples and explaination of syntax but still i'm unable to understand when it to be use in menu or forms.
ThanksThen we need to know what document you are reading so we know what files it references. If the document is a propietary document, you may have to go to the author of the document to get the files. For example, if you are studying from a copy of an Oracle Training book, you will need to contact Oracle to get copies of the sample forms. i got the pdf from internet the name of document is "*Oracle Forms Developer Build Internet Applications 2-Volume 1 Instructor Guide.PDF 40034GC10 Production 1.0 May 2000 M011398*" and here is no link to attach the file so i'm unable to send you that document.
In above document, i'm going through " *Practice 1 and 1 Create a new menu module.*"
some following details are given below:-
1 Create a new menu module.
a Using the following screenshot as a guideline, create a new menu
module called M_SUMMITXX where XX is your student course
number.
here is figure regarding with menu editor, we have to followup to that figure
File Menu and given property of file menu like below but it is in tabular form so i'm unable to copy paste here exactly the same:-
Label_Menu Item_Type Command_Type Menu_Item_Code Visible_in_Menu Visible_in_Horiz._ Menu_Toolbar icon_Filename
Save Plain PL/SQL DO_KEY(’COMMIT_FORM’); Yes Yes Save
Clear Plain PL/SQL DO_KEY(’CLEAR_FORM’); Yes Yes Abort
Null1 Separator Null Yes Yes
Exit Plain PL/SQL DO_KEY(’EXIT_FORM’); Yes Yes Exit
Null2 Separator Null No Yes
like above the all property is given for all menu items and then after some instruction is given like below:-
b Save as M_SUMMIT and compile the menu module.
c Attach the menu module to the ORDERS form.
d Save and compile the form module as ORDGXX where XX is your
student course number.
e Run and test your ORDERS form.
*2* Add pop-up menus to the CUSTOMERS form.
a Open the CUSTOMERS form module. Save as CUSTGXX where
XX is your student course number.
b Copy the EDIT_MENU menu from your M_SUMMIT menu
module to your CUSTOMERS form. Attach this pop-up menu to the
Comments item.
c Save and compile the form module. Deploy your form to the Web to
test.
In this example, the SET_BLOCK_PROPERTY built-in is setting the ORDER_BY property of the S_ORD data block so that records displayed in the block are ordered by the SALES_REP_ID column (block item).
For more information about the SET_BLOCK_PROPERTY search the Forms Help system; click the Index Tab and then type SET_BLOCK_PROPERTY and open the "SET_BLOCK_PROPERTY built-in" topic. As you review this help article it is helpful to have the property pallet open for a data block. Then you can select a property and press F1 to get detailed information about the property.i want to ask that when do we need to use SET_BLOCK_PROPERTY. in which case, because i also read to forms6i.pdf *"Form Builder Reference, Volume 1 Part No: A73074-01"* but i'm unable to understand that how to use and when to use.
there is syntax given only but not given the situation.
NOTE : Please let me know how to attach document then i can send to you, what document currently i'm following or please let me know your mailid so i'll email to you.

Custom order form with file upload facility
Hi all,
I'm trying to create a custom order form(for a printing company) where the user can select their product, enter their credit card details and then upload the file. I've created the combo box & user input text fields. Now what I want is that when user clicks the submit button:
1. A mail is sent to the admin which contain all the details about the form that was filled by the user.
2. The file that is uploaded by the user should also be sent as attachment in the same mail. I'm not able to figure out how to add the feature of file upload in ActionScript.
3. This one is optional, but will add value to me if possible. The website is developed in Wordpress. Can we have a feature where a logged in user can save his order and come again later and retrieve his order form.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.
Regards,
Rajeevyour client is, i believe, legally negligent. you are probably jointly liable with your client.
you should try and protect yourself. you should keep a record that you've informed him that he needs to encrypt all credit card numbers during all phases of transmission but i doubt that will be enough to protect you because you are in a position to know and, will know, that he's not fulfilling his obligations to protect sensitive information.
you would use the urlloader class to communicate between flash and the server and you will probably use php (another coding language) for the server-side coding.
you can use google to search for php tutorials and help. -

Table and Field for Open Order Quantity for a Customer and Material
Hi
I created two sales orders 3 and 5 quantities, and delivered 1 qty in the second order.
when I checked the table VBBE or VA05, I am able to see 3 and 4 qantities open.
but I want to see the total 7 as open order qty, i.e, 3+4=7
because both the orders are placed by the same customer and same material
can u please tell me in which table exactly the total open order quantity for a customer and total open order quantity for a material is stored
Madhu
Edited by: madhubabu rao on Jul 1, 2008 1:49 PMHI,
U can get the information in VA05 as there are columns like confirmed quantity and order quantty and status. U can use summation button (add upto values) to get required information.
Thx,

URGENT! File Upload Utility or a Custom UI for File Upload is needed!
Hi all,
I'm trying to find or develop a file upload utility or custom user interface rather than editing and adding file type item to a page. There is a free portlet for file upload in Knowledge Exchange resources, but it is for 3.0.9 release. I'm using portal 9.0.2.
I could not any sample about the new release. Also API such as wwsbr_api that is used to add item to content areas is out dated.
I create a page with a region for "items". When "edit" page and try to add an "file" type item the generated url is sth like this;
After selecting item type as a simple file autogenerated url is sth. like ;
I made search about these API but could not find anything (in PDK PL/SQL API help, too).
I need this very urgent for a proof of consept study for a customer.
Thanks in advance,
Kind Regards,

WHY does the finder insist on rearranging the files and/or documents in a folder in alphabetical order even when I have selected "none" in the preferences for file organization? Even after I numbered the documents/folders to keep them in my preferred order, it will still displace them occasionally. This is becoming increasingly frustrating!
Is this a "Pages" issue or "FInder"? The vast majority of documents I use are in Pages, but there are also Numbers, PDFs, jpegs and a few other applications involved. This never happened before I upgraded to Mountain Lion; in Tiger, the documents (mostly Appleworks) and files stayed where I wanted them to be.
I am visually oriented, and prefer to arrange items in a folder in an order that makes them easier for me to access, which is often NOT alphabetical.
Can anyone suggest a solution? Please??
Thank you.
Saranbar,
Thank you for your reply.
However, I do not understand what you mean by "user account." I am the only user, and can find no options for "user" or "guest." The parental controls have always been off, as there are no other people who have access to my computer.
Frank,
Thank you for your reply.
All my documents, files and folders are in icon view, Arranged By: none in both view and view options. This arbitrary rearranging does not happen all the time, only when I make a substantial change to one of the documents in the file or folder. I'm not sure what you mean by "column heading."
MichaelLAX,
Thank you for your reply.
I know, to my sorrow, that Appleworks does not work with Mountain Lion. I spent at least three months converting approximately 2,000 Appleworks documents to Pages, Numbers, Bento (for databases) and Touchdraw (for drawings). So this is not the problem; but as I said, I did not have this rearranging problem with Appleworks - the icons stayed where I wanted them to be. I still miss the ease and reliability of Appleworks, darn it!
Frank,
Thank you for your second reply.
I do have the Sort By: in view options as well as in view set to "none." The finder still insists on rearranging, but only when I have made a substantial change to a document in that file or folder.
Any futher thoughts?
xdab,
Thank you for your reply.
"Are you are using icon view, but for some reason the finder moves files around? is that the problem?"
YES!! This is exactly the problem.
"If this operation is successful then erase the original and rename the new one to the name originally chosen by the user."
This seems like a lot of trouble, especially as I often work on several documents at the same time.
"By the way, the finder has a "clean up by" menu that rearranges icons in one of the standard orders, there are shortcuts that produce the same effect, for example <option><cmd>1 sorts them by name. Is it possible that this shortcut was typed by mistake without you noticing?"
I do know about this "clean up by" option, and avoid it like the plague! So I doubt this is the issue, and I infrequently use keyboard shortcuts like this anyway.
Thanks all who replied. None of the suggestions seem to work, however. Any others out there?

Thanks.Hi Venkat,
If you are using a Custom DataSource/Extractor the main problem is that you are collecting data from a lot of tables, so it is really difficult to determine a field for the delta.
If for you is important only a change at Key Fields Table (EKBE) you can set the Generic Delta only on a field of this table (Doc Number or Position Number - Date - Timestamp).
But if you are interested in all changes you have to determine a single field for every tables...
I think it is really difficult to find a delta in all these tables.
Maybe you can think to use in BW an ODS without Reporting BEx flag to determine Delta, and then introduce delta records in a Cube.
Ciao.

Importing data for tuple changes the order from source file - please help
Hi all:
I am using MDM 7.1 with the new tuple functionality. I have to import some product texts in a specific order. Tuples is working fine, the only issue is that it changes the order of the rows when importing from Excel. Let's say I have product number
A123, Text 1
A123, Text 2
A123, Text 3
When importing in MDM I get:
A123, Text 2
A123, text 3
A123, Text 1
It is changing the order in which records are from source Excel file. Any ideas on how to force it to import in the same order as source file?
Thanks,

How to get the open order quantity for a material
Hi All,
We need to get the open order quantity for materials. At present we are using the following logic...
SELECT VBAKVBELN VBAPPOSNR VBAP~KWMENG
INTO TABLE IT_VBAP
FROM VBAP
INNER JOIN VBAK ON VBAKVBELN = VBAPVBELN
INNER JOIN VAPMA ON VAPMAVBELN = VBAPVBELN
AND VAPMAPOSNR = VBAPPOSNR
INNER JOIN VBUP ON VBUPVBELN = VBAPVBELN
AND VBUPPOSNR = VBAPPOSNR
WHERE VAPMA~MATNR = IT_OUTPUT-MATNR
AND VAPMA~WERKS = IT_OUTPUT-WERKS
AND VBAK~AUART IN S_AUART
AND VBUP~GBSTA NE 'C'.
But the Query takes quite a long time as it does a full range scan on all the tables. Is there any way the query can be improved, may be by creating an index etc? Or is there anyother way by which i can get the required data?
Any input is appreciated.
Regards

Customizing 'Print Purchase Order' Report
Hi All,
We need to customize the 'Print Purchase Orders' report, for communicating the PO to supplier. But the Fax commnds, and the output format we have to change accordingly. Also we need to move the generated output file to another directory.
Please let me know the recommended customizing procedure for the above.
Thans,
Gowri.Hi,
If you want to modify Print PO Report (POXPOPDF), refer to the following document.

Aperture performs adjustments in a different order depending on file type
Aperture performs Adjustments in a different order depending on file type.
Here's an example:
Starting with two copies of an image, one in RAW format (Canon CRW from a D60), the other in TIFF (opened the .crw file in Preview and exported an 8bit tiff file).
{The test image is a photo of my copy of Aperture on the floor of my studio (which, for reference, is a few points of Cyan off of a neutral grey).}
The original Image.

Adjustments

The RAW file adjusted
http://members.arstechnica.com/x/adrien/testRAW_adjusted.jpg
The TIFF files adjusted
http://members.arstechnica.com/x/adrien/testTIFF_adjusted.jpg
Import both of these files (testRAW.crw & testTIFF.tiff) into Aperture.
Make adjustments to the RAW and TIFF images:
- Exposure: Saturation -> 0 (lowest possible value).
- White Balance: Temp -> 3500K (from 5000K).
It doesn't matter what order you perform these operations in.
The RAW file is now a neutral greyscale image. With the Saturation set to 0, the White Balance makes no major difference in the image, it stays grey.
The TIFF file, however, is now a blue tinted greyscale image - much like a sepia-tone effect. Moving the White Balance slider changes the color of the image.
It appears that Aperture is performing the Saturation and WB operations in a different order: for the RAW file it first performs the WB, then the saturation; while in the TIFF file it performs the saturation first, then the WB.
The result is the same for a JPEG image.
The RAW behavior is the 'expected' behavior in photography - White Balance should happen 'before' the Saturation setting.
I've filed the bug with Apple (number 4394125 at bugreport.apple.com). hopefully they'll fix this.

Solution 1:
You can create a new output type which will be triggered and call a same driver program and the new smart form. I am sure you can customize as to what Purchasing document type will trigger which output type. Get in touch with someone in the function team to get this configured.
Solution 2:
No Customizing, let the configuration be the same, but in the driver program change the value of "TNAPR-FONAM" immediately after the form entry_neu to the new form name based on the Purchasing document type. -
