Customizing message status Icon for program exceptions

hi Techies,
I am looking for really interesting stuff w.r.t. status Icons. I see there are predefined status ICons that you can see in message monitoring (SXI_MONI). Specifically talking about error message status ICon we see red flag however there is one more option that is red flag with thunder storm on it which can be seen in the list of ICons - legend button)
I want to know how I can raise the program errors with this flag. any clue? Do we have to set the error code to may be "APPLICATION_PROGRAM_ERROR" to do this any idea experts?

Animated gif icon for an exception instead of the standard icon?

Hello,
is there a possibillity to use an animated gif icon for an exception instead of the red standard icon in a web template?
I tried to change the standard icon s_s_ledr.gif against an animated gif icon in the mime repository, but it does not work. In the IE the icon is still shown without animation.
Maybe I´ve changed the wrong icon?
Can you please help me?

Hi Andreas,
it is possible to integrate own symbols for exceptions. If you can use animated gif I don't know. However there is a post over here explaining the usage of the modification for symbols:

I have already built custom_cover_message using application_developer/message forms and generated it.
I would like to change COVER_MESSAGE to CUSTOM_COVER_MESSAGE.

Create a custom dock/application icon for .jar files built in eclipse

I've spent the better part of the afternoon trying to figure out how to apply a custom icon to jar file that I created in eclipse. I am presently using eclipse v3.5 on Mac OS X 10.6.2 and have yet to find a way to change the java coffee cup logo in the document icon for my jar files created in eclipse. Is there some way I can call a specific Apple class in Eclipse to change the dock/application icon of my .jar file?
I found this link that uses a class that seems to be specific to XCode to change the icon of the .jar file.
What I mean by change the icon of the jar file, I mean change the icon used in the dock, and also the icon used when the "command+tab" switcher pops up. Presently, I have the black console icon with the text "exec" in the upperleft.
If anyone has any good links on this topic or even better knows the code I need insert into my program I would be highly greatful.

No "message status icon" ?s

All of a sudden, my messages are not reflecting replies and forwards.
Is there a way to fix or diagnose why the "status icon" is not working.

The column is there and there are the forward and reply check marks for earlier messages.
If that isn't the case I would move the com.apple.mail.plist to the desktop or trash. It can be found in Macintosh HD -> Users -> YOUR USER -> Library -> Preferences. You will have to put in your account information again. All you Mail should be OK because it should 1 if its and imap/mobile me account be on the server and 2 if its pop/On My Mac it will be in the ~/Library/Mail folder. And either or both will return the Mail once its running again.
I think I'll live with it since it is now back working and it is only 24-48 hours where it is incorrect. Too many accounts to re-enter, etc.

Custom home screen icon for a webapp.. just like Google - How?

I noticed that when you add Google to your home screen it displays a custom icon.. not an image of the website like other sites. I am trying to figure out if there is a way to do this for my own webapps. I searched through the Google.com source code but didn't find anything that appeared to have anything to do with that icon.
Hopefully this is possible for developers. Right now most of my icons are all white and its hard to distinguish which is which without reading the text below it.

Found it on the iPhone web dev page..
iPhone and iPod touch allow a user to save a WebClip bookmark to your site on their Home Screen.
To specify a bookmark icon for all pages of a web site, place a PNG image named "apple-touch-icon.png" at the root directory of your web server - similar to the "favicon.ico" for site icons.
To override the site bookmark icon on a specific web page, insert a <link> element similar to <link rel="apple-touch-icon" href="/customIcon.png"/> within the <head> element of the page.
The bookmark icon dimensions should be 57x57 pixels. If the icon is a different size it will be scaled and cropped to fit.
Safari will automatically composite the icon with the standard "glassy" overlay so it looks like a built-in iPhone or iPod application.

Custom web clip icons for iphone

Can anyone help me? I'm trying to create custom icons for my favorite websites on my iphone 3GS. I know it could be done I just don't know how to do it.

You can't do it directly on your phone, they have to be created on the web site in PNG image file format and then saved to the web site's root directory. Unless the web site has created a custom icon, in most cases, the icon that appears on the home screen is a picture of the website it links to.

Instructions to create custom home screen icons for websites and phone #'s

Here are instructions to create a home screen icon for a phone number or a website. This is very cool!
1. Go to http://webclip.us on your computer (not on your phone) and click on "create now".
2. In icon label, type what you want to call your icon.
3. In URL, type either the URL of the website you want to link to, or for a phone number link, type http://##########.tel.QLNK.net (where ########## is the 10 digit phone number you want).
4. In icon file, click the arrow to browse to the photo or image you want the icon to display.
5. Enter the security code shown, then click "upload now". You will get a "webclip number".
6. Now on your iPhone in Safari, go to http://webclip.us and enter the webclip number your computer just generated, and tap Go.
7. Use the plus sign to add the icon to your home screen, change the name to whatever you want, and you will have a cool little icon with the photo you uploaded!
If you used the phone number option, when you tap the icon on your home page, it will launch Safari and then pop up "Call" and "Cancel" buttons to call that phone number directly. If you used a website URL, it will launch that website just like a regular webclip.
So I now have an icon with my husband's face on it that dials his phone number. Very cool!!

Edit to make it clear that I don't take credit for creating this procedure - I simply found a reference to them in another post and posted the step-by-step here because it worked so well for me.

Do you know if this requires the 1.1.3 upgrade.. I got all the way through it until the end where it would not give me a plus sign or a way to add it.. wondering if it can be done with 1.1.2 thanks!

Cannot access my icons for programs

HI, When I press the menu button my icons will not open up. I have no access to my programs.

Have you tried removing the battery to reboot the device?

Use standard GUI status in customer GUI status without extra programming

I have a problem in my development.
now, I'm developing my own dialog program. And I need use my own GUI status.
there are some buttons on application tool bar.when I click some buttons on the
application tool bar,the program will do something according to the function code.
But now, I also need the standard tool bar in the screen too.yeah,I know I can input function code
to the buttons of the standard tool bar and the buttons of standard tool bar will be bright and can
be clicked. But when I click the button on the standard tool bar like 'back', the program will not
return to the previous screen .
so, what I want to know is how can I make the buttons bright and achieve the functionality provided
by the standard tool bar without extra programming.

you can use Tcode SE41 ( MENU PAINTER ) to copy the status of a standard program.
to go back to the screen from where you come from like the standard BACK button.
in PAI
module go_back.
in abap source code the module looks like this

LEAVE TO SCREEN O.
endcase.
endmodule.
to by pass the screen validations the above code should be written in
MODULE MNAME AT EXIT-COMMAND.
in the PAI.

You can find most programs' icons in /usr/share/pixmaps, including Gran Paradiso and xterm.
@dr.cranium: I'm pretty sure he met the meant the app's individual icons, not the icon theme.

8703E - Message status shows 2 messages unread

On my 8703E the message status icon in the top left hand corner shows 2 messages as unread. In Outlook and on the device in messages all messages have been opened and read.

The first thing you can try is a hard reset: remove the battery from the device (while still powered on) for 30 seconds, then reinsert. If that doesn't work then try checking every message folder you have.

Status ARCHIVE_CONTENT in program SAPLOCS_UI is missing

Hi, SAP expert,
     I just install minisap 4.6D recently. I try to play around to upgrade the support package via transaction code SPAM.
     When I upload the support package (e.g.: SAPKA46D01.CAR) from the frontend (local PC), it shown a dialog screen for this package info. But at bottom (main screen) it prompt a message 'Status ARCHIVE_CONTENT in program SAPLOCS_UI is missing'.
     May I know, is it a miniSAP bug or there is any patch to fix it ?
     Kindly advise.

you are correct. Basically my issue was with the Tablespace PSAPSR3701, it was 100% full. So support package stuck. After adding space to the tablespace, I follow the below process.

If your problem is not solved still, then you can do the following, however please verify with SAP support first:
1. Take a full offline backup of you solution manager server. So that you can revert back to the same point in case. Then start SAP system, and ensure you have tp and R3trans latest.
2.Pls make sure that you have NOT made any changes to import
buffer, use the command to verify
tp showbuffer <SID> tag=spam pf=<...transport profile>
3. check at OS level to see if there are any tp or R3trans still
running; if yes stop them.
4. The TRBAT and TRJOB tables should be empty, if there are any
entries take a backup of the table, and delete the entry, manually if
neccesary at database level
4. Pls issue the following tp command to manually import SP
tp R3I SAPKB70012 <SID> pf=/usr/sap/trans/bin/<Your TP_DOMAIN_SID.PFL>
-Dclientcascade=yes -Dstoponerror=8 -Drepeatonerror=8
-Dsourcesystems= tag=SPAM
The return code for this tp call must be 0 or 4.
it will ask for modification adjusment then GOTO --> STATUS --> QUEUE --> Confirm Queue to get out from the error (spam_confirm_patch wrong_status:R)
It might ask for SPAU_RUN. continue if you have done before.
then click confirm under the support package tab.

PowerPivot in Excel 2013 KPI Status Icons

The KPI status icons for KPIs in PowerPivot only display the default read, yellow, and green circles when displayed in a PivotTable regardless of which icon set is selected when the KPI is created. If the KPI status is displayed in a Power View report then
the icons display as expected. Is this a limitation in PivotTables or is something wrong?

The screenshot shows except the circle shape, the shapes of status icons could be triangle and diamond.
The behavior may be changed in Excel 2013.
