Customizing OB58 in production without transport request

Hi comunity,
I'm facing a problem,
bussiness is asking me that the tcode OB58 can be customized in PRD environment as in dev, I don't know what could be the best way to get it.
of course we don't want to open the client,
could someone help me me please.
thanks in advance

Dear Alfredo,
This is a quite common requirement of the End user. As you know, we don't create all GL masters in our Golden Environment, progressively GL numbers get increased in PRD, so they don't get fetched in FSV version until unless you are having the full range assigned to the nodes.
There is a very good document written by Consultant Khan about this setting. please find link below.
http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-51491
Also, please have a idea about current settings tick mark in IMG activity.
Am sure, this doc will be helpful to you,
There is one more trick to tweak FSV changeable. Not recollecting right now but will inform you once I will recall.
Thanks
Kind Regards

  • How to identify programs modified in Production without transport request?

    Hi Gurus,
I have the following doubt regarding how to do the following:
We have our Production environment closed to do changes, but a couple of times we are opening the environment to enable our Developers to make some specific changes, but.....we want to be sure that any other program has been changed.
How can we know if a program (Z program) has been modified directly, not by a transport request?
Thanks in advance guys for your help.

    Hi,
Using Tcode: SE38, display the program, go through the menu path Utilities->Version Management. Here you can see the active version, compare with the earlier versions, remote compare with other systems like Dev System, QA System etc, who modified latestly, transport request number if any, date details etc.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Srinivas

  • Upload of Customs Duty Rates (xml file) without transport request creation

    Hi All
Can we upload the Customs Duty Rates (xml file) without transport request directly in the system.
    Thanks & Best Regards
    Kiran

    Hi Kiran,
Please check transaction & program /SAPSLL/TLC_CUSB_UPL in GTS.
This allows you to upload the XML from a local source or an application server path.
I do not think a transport request is required in this scenario.

  • Direct V_T024B  (Tcode OB02) table maintenance without transport request

One of our client would like to give the user access  to table V_T0244B (Credit Representative Groups) for regular maintenance (daily acitivity) without generating transport requests.
    Transaction code: OB02
Menu path: Financial Accounting > Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable > Credit Management > Credit Control Account > Define Credit Representative Groups
Requirement is to allow end users maintain Credit Representative Group changes directly in Production without any transport request.

    Hello Seshathalpa
The view V_T024B has the "Standard recording routine" and your client the option "Automatic recording of changes" defined. If you turn of the automatic recording (transaction SALE) you can customize without any request.
However, if this client change is not appropriate or allowed you could create your own view for maintaining the data. This view should have no recording routine.

  • Can Tcode exist in Pre-production and Production without transporting it...

    Hi ABAP Guru's,
Can a T-code that has been created in Development system saved in a package be available in Pre-production and Production environment without transporting it.
    Apt answers will be rewarded.
    Raghav

    Hi,
I hope it is not possible in normal scenario. But it is possible if below thing has happend.
eg: U created a transport in development system and assigned to some package/development class.
If some one created another TR and transported the whole package to quality/production then your transaction code will also be tranported but ur TR will not be. This i am not sure. But still....i think this can happen.
Check the above thing if it has happend.
    Thanks,
    Vinod.

  • How to create entries in sm30 without transport request

    Hi all!
I would like to make entries in a  table using sm30 but I dont want  transport request popup to come up.
Is it possible to disable the transport process for that table?
I have been told that if I change delivery class from C to A the problem will get resolved .
But it is still askinf for transport request.
    Regards,
    Rachel

    Hi Rachel,
Ideally when we give the delivery class as 'A' and create tab.maintenance generator with the radio button 'No or User Recording routine', it will not ask you for the transport request.
When we want to transport the entries, you need to change the class as 'C' and also change the radiobutton option in tmg screen as 'Standard Recording routine'.
If the problem still exists, please regenerate the tab.maintenance and the entries in the table with del.class as 'A', and select radiobutton option to 'No or User Recording routine'.
    This should help.
    Thanks,
    Guru

  • Activities without transport requests

    Hi Friends,
There are few activities in the configuration which we have to do in each client server for which transport requests can not be generated. I could have found few as mentioned below.
    1. Number range assignment
    2. Characteristics creation (For Release purpose)
    3. Class creation (For Release purpose)
    4. G/L assignment in OBYC
    5. Split valuation
    6. Tax codes( related to FTXP Txn Code)
Is there any other activities apart from those mentioned above which I need to do manually in QA and PROD server also?
Please provide the list of such activities. Please explain in detail for each activity.

  • Transport request and task releasing?

    Hi all,
I've three systems dev,QA and prod.I'm working on dev client and I've a two reports(say A and B) under the same transport request with different tasks,If I want to release the report 'A',is it necessary that I shud be releasing th ewhoel request number or if I release the task it's enough.why a transport request will have different tasks, when the transportationof ht ese taks associated with the transport request is independent.
I've released the task to QA and the QA sytem had some problem and did nto get he task, what I shud be doing now, release the task again or ?
Can a report be assigned to different tasks(numbers) under the same  transport request.can the report be assiged to different transport requests.please let me know.
    thanks and regards

There is a transport route defined by your Basis Team for the transport scenarios. There, the possible ways through which request can be moved( from Dev --> QA & Dev --> Prod ) are defined.
But it does not mean that you can't transport your request to production without transporting it to QAS.
Furher, when you release a transport request, it does not automatically move to QAS or Production but someone from your Basis Team has to run the TP through Xn STMS, which in turn imports the objects from your Dev Request and put it on QAS / Production.
In case of any error encountered while importing to let's say QA, you need to check whether it's a problem with the transport buffer or is it because some objects are missing from the transports or dependent transports are not moved as yet.
Please understand that there is no concept of re-release.
You can only ask your Basis guy to re-import it.
According to the encountered problem, you need to decide whether you should just ask you Basis consultant to re-import the same Transport.
Or create a new request through SE10, and include all the objects from your last request. Release it and ask your Basis guy to import it to QAS.
Or first move the dependent transport and then ask your Basis guy to re-import your current transport.
Or create and group the changed objects, altogether in a new transport by changing all the objects which were contained in the original request.
Further, to your other queries, if two users are modifying the same program ( not exactly at the same time - that's not possible but one after other )then that program will be contained in two separate tasks of the same transport request.
I hope it answers a few of your queries.
    Thanks,
    Ram

  • Creating transportation requests.

    Hi,
how can I create transportation requests for all customizing objects created before setting in trx SCC4 "<b>Automatic recording of changes</b>"?
    Best Regards

    Hi,
the problem is that before setting "Automatic recording of changes" there were being created customizing objects as company code, plant etc.etc. without transportation requests.
Now what I need is creating transportation requests, for those objects without transportation requests for the above reason.
To do this I found in SAP customizing implementation guide (SPRO) that in each customizing object from the menu is possible do that clicking Table view, Transport.

  • Which transport request?

    Hi
As we know in system landscape we have development, quality and production server are present. I want to know if
    1) i have to move from dev to quality which transport request  or  tcode we will use?
    2) if i have to move from quality to production which transport request or tcode we will use.?
    3) Within the same server say development if i want to move is i required transport request, if not then how will move with the same server?
    Regards
    Tushar

    Hi Tushar,
"If we create any object in development server then system automatically generate the transport request or we have to create the transport request?
If it RSA1 or SE01/SE09, we have to follow the steps to create transport request(request number is generated by system).
    http://explore-sapbw.blogspot.in/2012/01/step-by-step-procedure-to-implement.html
2)if it is system generated then by seo1/se09 why we create our own transport request?.What is the use of own transport request?
When you modify any object or create new one system ask you for transport number. If you have already created it through SE01/SE09, you can give it directly. Otherwise you have to click on create, then system will take you to SE01 where you need to follow same steps to create transport request.
So it is better to you have transport request before you create or modify any object.
Now i want to Modify( i am in development server) the A object so i can directly move from c..> to A or i have to use some t code here?
Could you explain what do you mean by directly move from C...>A. When you create any object and changes, you won't get new object like B. once your modifications done, you need to activate that object(it will be A again)

  • How to create a transport request/customizing table?

    Hi,...
I have create a table that can be maintained by sm30 in development system. How can I configure this table, so user can maintain this in development system only and create a customizing transport request to transport all data in this dev table to production.
Any help, links would be appreciated thanks

    Yusuf,
Shekhar has given you the right answer.  With the standard recording routine switched on you will be prompted everytime you save changes via SM30.
Have you re-generated the maintenance dialog since setting this flag?
Or, perhaps the client you are testing in does not have the automatic recording switched on (check in transaction SCC4, should have the setting Automatic recording of changes for your client).
    Cheers,
    Brad

  • Change Request Management without Transport Managment System

    Hello,
we would like to use the Change Request Management but without using the Transport Managment System (TMS). Means, we do not want that transport request are created automatically, we do not want that it is possible to log on to the satellite systems via the Solution Manager and we do not want to integrate the transport track into the Solution Manager.
What effort do we have to estimate for such a change? Does anybody already use a process like this? We would be grateful for any idea or solution.
    Many thanks in advance.
    Jenny

    Hi Jenny,
you can do this with the following activities in your custom Business Transaction (BT):
    - remove un-useful actions from your action list (TA: CRMC_ACTION_CONF)
    - remove the action from the actions depending on user status (TA: starting from SPRO)
    - unlock the switches from your SMI Project CTS Switches (TA: SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN)
The effort, for copying a standard BT and remove the actions and testing it, is about 5 days, if you already know how to customize a ChaRM BT... last but not least if one of the standard flows is what you really need.
Please let me know if you need more details, otherwise please reward the forum points

  • ChaRM - Import Transport Request - Production

    Hello Dears,
I have some issues/doubts with my ChaRM process.
    - Before the u201CImport Transport Request (Background)u201D on QAS environment, if I change the status to u201CGo Liveu201D in SCMA, I can u201CImport Transport Request (Background)u201D on PRD environment, without any verification in the support message.
Example: If the support message was in u201CTest statusu201D, on SCMA I can import to production environment. Wouldnu2019t have be a check or lock to not allow this action?
    - Exist any way to select the requests to import to PRD environment?
    Regards to all,

    Fabio
you have several options to schedule transports for like every hour
TMS jobs must be scheduled via STMS.  To do this:
    1) Goto transaction STMS
    2) Select 'Overview --> Imports'
    3) Double click on the system you wish to schedule the job for
    4) Click on the truck icon to schedule an import all job (only import
all jobs may be scheduled as periodic)
    5) Fill in target client, if necessary
    6) Select 'At start time' and fill in the date and time
    7) Next to 'Period' there is a box with a gray background.  If you
click in the box a drop-down arrow will appear.  Click on this.
    8) Select your period from the menu options and click on the green
       check.
    9) Click on the green check again and your job will be scheduled.
    or
you schedule the automatic import of u_rgent corrections via /TMWFLOW/SCMA_BTCH_SYNC_UC

  • Open FI periods without a Transport Request

    Hi,
When i try to open FI periods in OB52, System asking for a Transport Request to be generated.
Pls advise, How i could open FI periods without a Transport Request.
    Thanks a lot,
    Pavan.

    hi Pavan,
if the system is set to productive, it should not ask for transport request! Otherwise:
    go to SPRO
    Financianl Accounting
    FA Global Settings
    Document
    Posting Period
Open and Close posting periods (don't start it, just click on it once., so there should be a frame around it)
right click with mouse: Display technical info
    select 'Maint. objects' tabstrip
Select the line with V_T001B and click on Display.
Now go to change mode (you'll need an object key at this point)
Now you can change that, an the system does not ask for transport request anymore.
You have to do this in DEV and transport the changes.
    hope this helps
