Customizing Selection Criteria's screen

We allow our endusers to execute reports via Discoverer's web 4i viewer. Is there a way to pass the values of the parameters from a web page to Discoverer so that the enduser will not have to use Discoverer's parameter screen?
If not, does anyone know of a way to customize the parameter screen (such as adding logos, etc.) where the enduser enters the parameter values?

You can pass parameters directly in the URL itself.

ABAP Query - SQ02 and SQ01 - custom selection criteria

Hello
I am on 46C. In my infoset I need to define three custom fields for selections. I am able to do that. Once I create my query these appear on the selection screen. So far so good.
1. I need to use these custom selection fields as selection criteria for the tables in the join. How do I do that ?
2. If I need to default some values for these selection criteria, I can do that in the definition. However I need the values to be greyed out to prevent the user from editing the values entered. How do I do that ?

1. I see that the standard variant assigned at the query level in SQ01. actually protects the selection field. There is no coding to make it only display. This answers part 2 of my question.
2. I am positive that the additional SELECTION that was created is being used in the main join that retrieves data in the query (in addition to being used for other things). I am not sure why somebody would define it that way instead of just creating a regular selection field in SQ01. Could it be because there is custom coding present for additional fields and there is reference to the selection variables needed for the additional field ?
How does one make this additional SELECTION also a criteria on the join ? I have attached the actual join Query generates - WRK, VKO and VTW are additional selection criteria.
FYI - this is an existing query, that I need to enhance

VL10: Enhanced selection criteria on Screen "Sales Order" RVV50R10C 1020

I have to enhance the selection screen VL10 "Sales Order" (RVV50R10C Dynpro 1020) with the VBKD-VSART. Note 198137 is very helpful for this. The DDIC type SHP_VL10_SELECT_OPTIONS was enhanced by the VSART, but I don´t understand, how I can create this field on the Dynpro 1020 without modification. How can I integrate the append structure from SHP_VL10_SELECT_OPTIONS on the dynpro 1020? If this is possible, I want to check in the next step the input of these customer fields in the include LV50R_VIEWG02 and my problem would be solve?
I search in the OSS and in this forum but I find no details of this problem.

No, this is not possible..
I have one suggesting in this case for you as below:
- Add VKAUS field in you incompletion procedure {Item Level} along with tick mark on field " Warning" which will fulfil your requirement. Means, if user doesn't enter the Usage then system will give the warning along with the fields to be maintained for the document to become complete.

Need to take part of selection criteria out of a custom report (R painter)

Hi Experts..
I have a requirement to hide cost elements/group which appear as part of selection criteria on our custom report (report painter) for projects.
1. Why this appears as part of the selection criteria as i did not find this defined in Edit --> General data selection. (I only found CO area, Valuation, Fiscal year, Period, and Object in there).
2. We have found a system performance issue when a user put in cost elements for selection. So I am required to take this out. I thought i can just take this out from General data selection.. If I can't find it in there, where would i be able to do that??
3. Suppose I would hide this selection by creating a screen variant.. I was looking in SHD0
but its not working with our Z T.Code...it display the error message "Variants are possible only for dialog transactions"... This does not seem to work with a custom t-code. Then how would I do this ????
Please help clarify on this ....

Hi Monica,
I believe we have an executable report here...
go to se38 -> enter program name -> click on "attributes" button -> display
We can see the type as 'Executable' or 'Modulepool'
generally a selection screen is brought by using keywords 'Parameters' or 'select-options' in Executable programs and with screen in modulepool ..although we can use a combination of both in some cases
So in your program..
check for keywords
'Parameters'/'Select-options'
The best way to proceed is to press F1 on the field that needs to be removed from selection...note the details
"screen number" and "screen field"
(1)By default screen number = 1000 if it is an executable program
Now see the scrren field ..if it is select-options it will something like field-low or field-high
so in the report
search for field for cost center and group with keyword starting as parameters or select-options and comment the same
Remember to comment tte fields throughout the program since this field will be used in multiple locations
(2) if it is modulepool program note the screen number , go the program and screen and remove the field from screen painter and comment the fields where ever used in the program
Also note that using screen variant is a good option but done if user needs specific settings on a report or we need the original report as it is plus additional report with few variations

Skiping initial selection criteria screen of HR report for Manager Desktop

Dear All,
The reports are configured using a custom scenario (Z Scenario) for Manager Desktop and used over the Portal through MSS. I have a requirement where for only one report (named Expired Qualifications) the initial selection criteria screen which comes when accessed through portal needs to be disabled or skipped and directly the transaction S_AHR_61015536 for this report needs to be called.
Please provide the inputs if it can be done and how for one report only.

I have checked the thread suggested by you but the report here is not independent transaction integrated using iView. It is a part of Scenario which makes the reports available to the managers. It uses MSS Standard iView "Reports" and "Selection Criteria". Both iViews are in one page as delivered by SAP. The reports iView displays all the reports configured in the scenario for Manager Desktop and Selection Criteria iView is launched first in the portal content area when the report ( "Expired Qualifications") link is clicked from the Reports iView.

Including User selection criteria along with LDB standard selection screen

While creating a HR report, along with the standard selection screen, if the cusomer requires some more fields to be added, How to retrive the data from the DB?
Is it the way to retrive the data based on Standard selection criteria from the LDB and then filter it based on user criteria or any other way?

Yes thats the way. You get the data based on Selection screen of LDB (You can select Report Catogory you wish to) once you get data, You can put CHECK statement to see the data against PXXXX type to the filter value from you custom field on selection screen.

How to specify custom query as well as a selection criteria

My domain class TBL.class is mapped one to one with DB Table TBL.
With this customer query, I want to add a selection criteria depending upon what is specified on the UI-screen - I can get col1, col2 or a combination of these as search criteria.
So far I have tried multiple approaches:
1. Specifying the custom query (without arguments) as a ReadAll Query in toplink descriptor and then using expression builder to add the criteria but this doesn't work as custom ReadAll query gets overridden and i get back all the results from
TBL which match the criteria specified.

2. Using Named Query:

This style of query does require code to apply logic as it is created. If you wish to have this used as a named query you can use a query re-direct so that instead of executing a query we call a method of yours.
You can setup your named query to use re-direction into a static method as:

Error while transporting the Custom Selection Screen to Production

Every selection screen got replicated till quality but at Production unable to see the same selection screen

This happened to me once.
I have checked my transport logs and found that everything was successfully transported in order and without errors. But the selection screen was not coming in Productio system. So i have tried activaing and generating the program once which solved my problem.

Selection screen: PNP database or other selection criteria

I received a specification of a new to be developed program where they defined a selection screen with a with 2 radio buttons:
1.     Use the logical database PHP for data selection (rb1);
2.     Use other criteria for data selection (rb2).
My question is, is this possible?
Or should I add the other criteria between the GET PERNR and the following code with?
Sample:

When either pnp OR other selection :
Create program 1 with 2 radiobuttons ==> pnp-selection (rb1)or other selection (rb2). When rb1 is selected go to pgm1 with pnp ; when rb2 is selected go to pgm2 with other selection criteria. Copy pgm1 to pgm2 and add extra selections en delete pnp-statements.
When pnp WITH extra selections : 1 pgm can be used as you described.

Problem with PNP customized selection screen

I have done a report in R/3 system using logical database PNP with customized selection screen. i have 3 parameters as below:
1. radiobutton1 group a for current period,
2. radiobutton2 group a for other period.
3. personnel number.
my program works fine in R/3 but not in my portal. i think it couldn't recognize my radiobutton in my customized screen. whichever radiobutton i selected also it would return current month records.
any idea how to fix this?
any configuration that i can do?

try testing it through ITS first.
in order to do so . Go to sicf transaction and run webgui. Then run the application using the tcode. Check the results.
Seems wrong paramter are getting passed to the SAP system.
Your ITS server should be activated first in order to use webgui otherwise you will be getting dump.

How to add into dynamic selection criteria (FBL1N) - custom field from LFB1

i have following problem. I added new customer field into table LFB1 (Z* field). And now i need to use this field as dynamic selection criteria in transaction FBL1N. I enhanced selection view for logical database KDF - i have created new customer view and I added my new field from LFB1. It is OK, i see this field in dynamic selection criteria in FBL1N but if i try to select according that Z* field, short dump occured.

thanks so far. I managed to show prompts in the report. But still my problem is nor 100% solved
I would like t achieve that the filtered criteria in the report title is separated through a comma like in the report filter summary - e.g.: {001, 002, 003, 004} followed by just 1chart/table that is including the whole information.
When I however just drag a variable into the report it automatically created different sections, right? Like ........ table, chart, whatever... .......table chart whatever........

Using custom fields of Infoset as Selection Criteria in Query Reporting

I have created one Infoset based on LDB PNPCE and added some custom fields to it. Coding has been done for the custom fields.
But these additional custom fields are not available as selection criteria while creating the query.
Can you please tell me how to use the custom fields as selection criteria?

but NOT is case of Infoset(Adhoc) query.

Now, I have 2 very similar queries; the only difference is that they use different tables because one is for
Purchases (OPCH/PCH1), and the other is for Credit Memos (ORPC/RPC1)
I want to put the above declaration together with my 2 queries all in a single query so that:
(a) If I select 'Invoice', the Invoice part is executed and only invoices are displayed,
(b) If I select 'Credit Note', the Credit Note part is executed and only Credit Notes are displayed.
Do you think such a Query is possible? If yes, please give me an idea how I can achieve it.
I don't want to use UNION ALL because one of my fields is a LINK field to which I have linked all PDF Scanned documents.
I want to preserve the links, since this is the reason I'm writing the query.

No Print of the Customer Receivables Ageing Selection Criteria Page

Hello.
I would like to know how can I print the Customer Receivables Ageing / Supplier Liabilities Ageing Report without printing the selection criteria page, because when I try to print these reports I always get the selection criteria page. I've searched in the print options, but I didn't found anything.
Can anyone help me?

This is system default function. It is hard coded already. You could print this page on the virtual printer instead.
