Cut and Paste and other things do not work in 1.3.1_01 or higher.

I develop a tool that uses an Swing based, applet UI that is compiled using JDK1.1.8 and is distributed to our customers. To enable cut and paste we have the customer choose to trust the applet and in JRE and Plug-In level 1.3.1 everything worked fine. We are now getting several differet problems, including cut and paste not working and URLs that nolonger resolve properly, when customers try to use 1.3.1_01 or higher.

cut and paste in JTextComponents requires signed Applets... (no problems with console Java applications)
a alternate solution is to use the old TextArea instead of a JTextArea

If you look at the "More Like This" box (top right), other threads appear. Opening them usually displays other threads. It appears you are not the only two having this problem.
Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

IPhoto and other iLife Apps not working

About a month ago I was having serious problems with my iMac. Ended up needing a new hard drive, so Apple sent it away, put in a new hard drive, and sent it back. I've had it for two weeks and am just now using some applications (probably should have checked everything when I got it back, oh well), and some iLife stuff and programs that come installed are not opening. I am running Mac OS X 10.4.11 FYI
What works: Mail, Safari, iChat, Address Book, Itunes, iMovie, iCal, Quicktime
What doesn't work: iPhoto, iDVD, Garageband, iWeb, Photo Booth
Just a note, iWeb is the only one that prompts me and tells me that I need to re-install iLife. When I went to download latest iLife update it told me there was nothing to update and I needed to reinstall iLife.
Also just went into the applications folder again and realized I have both Spaces and Time Machine installed, except they do not work with my OS, so I don't know why they are on there (when I try opening them just to see what would happen it says "does not work with your OS X). Also, Senuti and iPodRip also are not working, so anyone have any ideas as to programs that would let me get my music off my ipod and back on to the computer?
The programs that don't work just bounce out of dock once then go back down immediately, and do not open at all. I tried installing the software bundle package from my OS X install disk but while the install was seemingly successful it did not change anything. So AAGGHH what do I do???

Definitely have been running Tiger on it (just checked and I am running 10.4.11), sent it away, got it back, and just noticed that these programs don't work and I have programs native to Leopard inexplicably on the computer for some reason. I don't really want to remove them though cause I would like to have them on in case I have to go to the Apple Store so I can point it out to them and ask some questions about why Tiger (the OS installed on the computer) applications are not working while Leopard applications are installed even though they don't work and shouldn't be on there.

E72: Swedish and other special characters not work...

When I send mail through MfE, swedish and other special characters do not reach the recipient, they are just ignored. No blanks or nothing. Every word with a swedish character ends up one letter short.
Before the firmware upgrade this was intermittent, happening only on about half of my mails.
Now I upgraded yesterday, and it seems the problem is now permanent.
Have seen similar posts from E75 and E90 owners, their problems seem to have been fixed by newer firmware.
Our setup is: Exchange 2003, Portwise authentication.
All other phone models work fine, like iPhone, E71 etc.

After some testing I found out that if I use swedish chars in the subject line, it works fine. Even in the mail body.
If I don't use swedish chars in the subject, they won't work in the body. I either get garbage or nothing where the swedish chars should be.
The problem doesn't exist at all in my private IMAP mail account.
Could someone who uses Mail for Exchange and have special chars in their alphabet (swedish, finnish, german, hungarian etc) pls tell me how it's working out for you?

I upgraded to Lion. My Time Machine backup disk saved me. Lion has been fraught with issues from the beginning of my experience with it. Why even release it? If this level of inconvenience and disruption was even remotely foreseeable, more tutorials should precede such an important, far-reaching software upgrade. How disappointing and how much more agravation is in store? I hope not much

Garage Band and other Plug-Ins not Working

My Garage band isn't working. When I click on it the icon just bounces continually and never does anything. It was working fine yesterday. I also have a couple plug-ins, KORG M1 and Wavestation, that I use with Garage band and they are doing the exact same thing. Why am I having these issues??

There's no Auval or RA or Garritan Personal Orchestra in the Audio Units Manager in Logic Pro. Though Stylus RMX that I also use and Kontakt Player 2 are there and successfully validated. The RA and Kontakt Player component are exactly in the place you said they would be.
I've since discovered that RA does not in fact work in Logic Express. As for whether it's loading up in Rosetta or PPC version - how do I tell that?
I really appreciate your help but I'm still stuck at square 1. Any more suggestions?!!

Headphone and other audio jacks not working on msi GT 70

I was wondering if anyone could tell me why the headphone jack isn't working properly on my new laptop. When I plug them in it only works in one ear and the onboard speakers still play. Also nothing pops up from realtek when I plug them in. I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the newest version of realtek.
I have been having a heck of a time with the graphics cards. It will not default to the Nvidia GTX 670MX when I am in a program such as adobe premiere pro or photoshop. I went into Nvidia and changed the certain programs that I wanted to run the Nvidia card - still wont run off of it. I changed the global setting to Nvidia - still nothing. Finally I just disabled the intel driver in the device manager. It works fine now except exported video is very glitchy on the players. It plays the videos fine when I enable the intel driver again.
I guess I can live with the graphics card problems, but can't live without the headphones working. Any help is greatly appreciated

I'm working on a windows machine. All the code hinting features where working on previous installations, but they're not on 2014. I'm not sure if it's a bug or something was changed and I have to turn the features on somewhere other than the Code Hints settings?

Skype and Other VOIP services not working on my N...

I got a new Nokia Lumia Icon with Verizon Wireless contract. I installed skype and when trying to make International Voice calls, all I see the blue backgroud with Skype call outgoing icon and then nothing happens. Sometimes, the call gets active as in it shows the seconds counter of the call,but nobody can here anything on either side of the call. I do have some credit balance in my Skype account.
I tried re-installing the app but to no avail.
I tried with both Wifi and Mobile data
Also, I installed Nimbuzz- a VOIP service and when tried to make calls, it behaved similar to above.
Previously, I had an Android device and when I tried to make same International mobile calls now in it, I am able to connect and talk without any issues. I also chatted with an Skype support team and they also couldn't help much. They said that I am reporting such type of issue for first time and told that one of their tech specialist will get in touch with me once they have completely assessed the issue. I haven't gt any response though.
Is anyone else facing issues with VOIP apps in Lumia Icon?
Also, are there any fix for these issues?

Thanks for posting your concern, Win_Phone. Do you have a stable internet connection when trying to make a call? Have you tried accessing any website using the phone's browser to verify the stability of the connection? Have you also tried connecting to another available Wi-Fi network to check if there's any difference? About the audio, does it happen as well if there's a headphone connected to your phone? BTW, do you also have an issue when you are not using the Skype app?

Levels, Threshold and other image compression not working

I am trying to hyper compress the tonal range of a noise layer in order to get speckles, but I cannot get any of the adjustments to stick. They preview correctly, but once they are applied the image reverts to it's original state. The adjustment is listed in my history, but there is no visable effect on the image. This is true for one time adjustments and adjustment layers. Adjustment layers are I think the worst because the preview properly while live, but flattening, converting to a smart object or stamp visible all remove the adjustment. It's as if it never existed.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! This is driving me nuts and delaying an important project. I have tried re-starting the app and the machine with no results.

The 15" Retina's will have better performance than any 13" Retina. Not only do the 15" machines have dedicated GPU's, but they also have quad-core processors, whereas the 13" Retina's only have dual-core processors.

Hello and thank you for posting back. What it sounds like is the cable that connects to the screen from the motherboard has either come loose or has a issue after the fall.
To fix this it would have to be opened up and the connections checked. If there is an issue with the cable then it would have to be replaced. This will require either you opening up the system yourself and checking the connections and tha cable or sending it in for repair.
