Cut out Person volume II

Hi Guys. I have a short movie shot against a green screen - so I know I can use the green key in PE to get rid of the background. The problem is that I want output a FLV file (with the alpha channel intact) to use in a flash movie (where they guy will still be against a tranparent background). But when I import the flv into flash, the background is a solid black. What am I doing wrong?
Background (pardon the pun): I'm basically trying to put a guy talking over a banner on a website. But I'd also like to be able to acheive having the same guy "walk out" over a web page too. I'm sure you've all seen that done - but do we know how??!!

Hey Steve - I shelved this back in July, but now I've revisted it, I've found that in fact, PE4 can do exactly this!
Basically, after you've applied the green screen or chromakey effect to your satisfaction, you export the move as a quicktime - the trick is to choose "millions+ colors" in the video settings.
This setting (as appose to "millions of colors") retains the alpha channel in the .mov (even though you still see the green screen) if you play the quicktime.
You can then use the Flash Video Encoder to convert the quicktime into a .flv - again making sure you check the "alpha channel" box in the settings.
Finally, when you import the .flv into Flash, the green screen is gone. No need for After Effects after all - problem solved :-)

Ipod songs cutting out and volume bar dissapear

I have an ipod touch 3g and it has been fine until this morning when all of a sudden it cut out during a song as soon as i locked it. then the volume bar dissapeared and the song became muted, i now have to keep unplugging and re-plugging in my headphones in the headphone jack. i reset it without removing the data then it still was mucking about.
how can i fix this problem, it's under warranty but i want to try and sort it before i go get it repaired. by the way it's on iOS 4.0

I am having this same problem. I recently converted my iTunes library to a new Windows Vista PC. Song cuts out on iPod but not on iTunes. Apple store gave me a replacement unit fo the 30GB 5th generation and it still happens on the new unit. Also happens on my iPod Nano (new model).
Every post I see relating to thsi problem is "unanswered".

Too much volume, phone cuts out??????

When I use my phone to record video of me singing, and then play the video to listen, my phone cuts out the volume, like it is to much for the phone to handle. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Amplifier cutting out at higher volumes

I have a 2000 Oldsmobile Alero and I installed a Pioneer DEH-3200UB head unit which is connected to a Pioneer GM-5500T 820W amplifier which runs 2 12" Pioneer TS-W303R sub-woofers; all of which is connected by 6 gauge Scosche 1200W amplifier wiring kit. I have had them installed in my car for about 10 months now. For the first 8 or 9 months I had no issues with the system: the bass hit hard at whatever level I had it at. Last month I took my subs out and replaced the enclosure with a plexiglass enclosed one and now the amp/bass cuts out around volume level 30 (It goes up to 62), and it used to work at whatever volume I had it.
I think I've given all details needed, but feel free to ask for any other specifications.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That is a tough one to pinpoint without hands on testing.
Is the power shutting off on the amp? Is the protection light on the amp coming on? Does the amp stay on without the protect light coming on, but the subs just stop?
Let's see:
The TS-W303R is rated at 250W RMS each and is 4ohm SVC
The GM-5500T is rated to put out 125W RMS per channel @ 4ohm
If all the settings are exactly the same and the problem started as soon as you swapped the enclosure, I would first check the wiring to make sure everything is as it should be.
Is the amp bridged to those two subs or are you running each sub on its own channel? If it is bridged to the subs, then depending on how it is wired it might be running at 2ohms which would be too low for the amp and possibly has damaged it. If each sub is on its own channel, then it is possible that the amp is trying to put out more than it can and is struggling or that the subs need more than it can give. It is possible that the subs being designed for higher power than that amp is capable of could have caused distortion which may have damaged the voice coils on the subs themselves.

When using full volume on my iphone 4s the sounds cuts out but if I blow air into the speaker it comes back on is this a hardware issue or a software issue?

Just recently my iphone 4s speakers started acting up. I have restored it twice once to a back up and the other time as a new phone. The speakers get really staticy on full volume and then it cuts out but if I turn down the volume and blow air into the speakers it goes back to play fine until I turn up the volume again. I'm going to try to clean it out with a toothbrush and see if that helps. But I'm curious does this seem more like a hardware problem or is it a problem with the operating system and I should try to hold out until ios 6 comes out and see if that helps. I've read all the problems with this so I'm hesitant to send it in since there is no apple store around here and find out I have to pay to get it fixed. Tried to talk to them on the phone but since it's a week past ninety days I would have to purchase apple care in order to get any help but yet that's only available for 30 days after your purchase so I'm not sure how come they can offer that over the phone. Thanks for the help. The problem just started suddenly. The problem I have is the closest Apple Store is 3 hours away so I would have to send it in and I don't want to send it to them and then be told I'd have to pay for it. Would they just send the phone back if you decide not to have it fixed. I will probably just get used to it or maybe it will fix itself one day.

I don't believe you can do that on an iPhone. But you can on your computer using apps such as Photoshop.

I had the same problem with mine. It had a faulty proximity meter. When in a conversation, the screen should go black when it senses it's near your face. Test it by calling someone and placing your hand over the phone. If it doesn't go black, you may have the same problem. When that happens, your cheek can hit the mute button..

Audio and Video sound cuts out when adjusting the volume whilst playing powerpoint presentations

I have just bought a new hp laptop and when running power point presentations with embedded media (for my job) I cannot adjust the volume of the sound when the audio or video file is playing. It simply cuts out and stops the video or sound from playing. I thought at first that this might be an Office 2010 issue but now it seems more likely to be a setting on the laptop. I hear you on this. I just tested out the 3GS video for a concert where band mixed electronica and guitars.. boom boom satellites and I noticed when close to the speaker side of the stage the sound cut in/out. But when I moved farther away sound remained consistant.
What I may suggest is lowering the volume to mid range when closer to your sound source then
correct (if needed) using outside software.. iMovie Final Cut, etc..

T7900 Speakers cutting out at high volume

Help! I'm having a Party tomorrow and everytime I turned my speakers higher than about 50% they cut out, so that the volume drops until the next beat hits, then it cuts out again. I am using the original power supply, and I am sure that the connections are ok because the problem started recently.
I did have a problem with the pendant that has the volume and bass control on it, in that there was a bad connection when tyou turned the volume dial so that it crackled and the green light dimmed, but that cleared after a little use. The green light stays on with the current fault.
I am using onboard sound (AC97) on my MSI 875P Neo motherboard, and i haven't altered the drivers since before it worked.
I'm running out of time before we kick off tomorrow so any help you can offer please post.

Hello guys, I faced a similar problem with the t7900...
when I turn up the volume from my pc... without touching anything else the speakers begins to power off and then back on,, and one time i found it powering off and on again without playing any music, that terrifed me to death.. as I was sleeping. and at last I began to check wires and just move it and I found it doing the same thing.. I found that the fuse that is located at the end of the adapter cable( the thick part located before the jack that is connected to the subw.) is not properly connected to the wire that doesn't permit high power to pass through it that is needed for high volumes so it begins to poweroff. I fixed it's and the problem never repeated again.. Hoping this to help you.

Other persons audio cuts out Kindle HDX 7"

The person will usually speak about a half a sentence before it cuts out. It is also only with this specific person, all my other contacts' audio works fine. I have tried resetting the Kindle to no avail. I read somewhere here that headphones may help. Will try soon. Any other suggestions?

Solution found:
"It seems that After Effects (and all other CC applications that use audio) generates some settings in the Audio and MIDI device setup found under Applications>Utilities.
I think they are ways to make specific audio setups for these applications. You can probably edit these settings to match the system setup, but I just deleted them and now everything works fine."

Volume cuts out for split second and then comes back very low

I have an old Ipod Classic that I listen to on my Bose docking station. Every now and then the sound cuts out for a split second and then continues playing only it's too low to really hear so I have to turn the volume back up.
It did this twice today when I was listening to.
It was doing this every now and then a few months back and then stopped.
Has anyone had this problem and know what could be causing it to happen?

Audio volume cuts out voice when bass hits.

i have a hp 2000 an i listen to music some songs the vocals cut out when the bass hits but not others. are the files currupt or what? how can i fix this?

I understand you are having an issue with the sound on your HP 2000 Notebook. Here is a fix you could try.
1. Right click speaker icon (right hand corner)
2. Select Playback devices
3. Right click Speakers
4. Enable it and set as Default
5. Click Apply/Ok

Macbook keyboard cutting out at times, 10.5.1 installed.

Hello.
Here's the problem. I have everything back to normal on my Macbook, OS X Leopard, boot camp, windows, and etc. However, being the upgrade conscious person, i upgraded my Mac to 10.5.1, and for some reason, my built-in keyboard will cut out at times. There will be times when it's on, and when it's off. And I mean its Off by it actually not functioning. Apple SHOULD UPDATE the Macbook firmware. This has already became an annoyance after a half hour of experience.

People that have something not working properly check here and find others with the same issues and assume they are part of a large majority.
Apple have sold 5 million copies of Leopard already plus Leopard on over 2 Million new computers.
With that large an installed base there are bound to be some problems especially with all the internet downloads available that may have been made for previous operating systems but not made for leopard.
If you do an upgrade and have downloaded something incompatible with Leopard it will still be there after the upgrade and may come back to bite you.
If you have a fairly clean system you may have a minor issue if you have an old font with a problem or a file or files that had sketchy permissions. These can be annoying but no biggy.
If you do an archive and install, you bring in a clean system and need to reinstall programs that modify the system. Bring them and plugins in slowly in case there is a compatibility issue.
An erase and install makes you store your data off the volume and is not much different than and archive and install except you can opt to preserve your network settings.
You can always bring back in you user settings.
The vast majority of installers don't mess too much with their systems and usually don't experience any problems since they have never brought in anything foreign.
People rarely report things that work only when they don't.

hi! I am from New Zealand. I?just purchased?a set of Creative Gigaworks T3 for just DAY(the first day)! and I am encounter the same kind of problem mentioned in this post/topic . it Shuts off by itself or (power cutting out) . most probably would be the overheating cut off problem as well , all symptoms are the same as described this this post!
I cannot believe this is happening to the whole line of Gigaworks subwoofered speaker systems. I also have the Gigaworks T40 SII and are working mint. but seems like the subwoofered ones are the ones with this overheating cut off problem!!!!!
Man I trusted Creative for its quality of its products as I have always been Ultra impressed for the Creative Cambridge FPS2000 which I had own for the last 10 years until the remote switch became faulty 2 years ago (volume fluctuates), but thats acceptable for so many years of use!! they were the best ones and love them!?
BUT? I dunno about these current line of Gigaworks systems. they all seem to be faulty with this problem
do you think I should get a replacement or just get a refund IF I CAN.
a replacement might do the same thing?

here is an update of what happened to my faulty Creative Gigaworks T3 system.
I returned it the next day the shop opened back from new years which is the Jan 4th, 2010 . I told them about the problem I was having and also printed out the dicussion from this forum on the Gigaworks G550W http://forums.creative.com/t5/Speaker-Systems/Creative-Gigaworks-5--G550W-Power-Cutting-Out/td-p/430593 . which I told them was the very same problems as discussed here and seems to be like a common fault or design problem of the gigaworks (subwoofered) series from creative!!
I was treated in a very bad and unhelpful manner from the store. and straight up. there is no refund!. and they seem to think I was lying about all this and making it up trying to get a refund ?!!
wtf I came all the way back (50km retrurn) waste my valueable time waste gas to muck about na I don't think so!? but to them I was a lier which had nothing better to do. " they say , you say its faulty, but We don't know" and they said , if the supplier say can refund then we will definitly refund... or even we test it out have problem, the supplier will have to test it again to confirm if there is a problem then to see if they will repair or replace. of course I wanted a refund as this a design problem and will happen again shortly!!! I had no choice but to leave it there , so I left it there on the 4th. anyway I was treated the worse I've ever been treated for any purchase at a store
week later. TODAY the 12th Jan. I received a txt message saying " this is xp computer warehouse, just 2 let u know ur creative speakers has been returned from the distributor as no fault to be found, n its ready 4 pick up "
of course there was no fault if it was tested for 5 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!! its the overheating problem after being used for over 2 hours or so. but I'm sure they know about this hard,. how can they not know if its happening all the time. they just can't be bothered, they would of just said "ah f--- it!!"
So i'm going back on sunday 24th Jan to get a refund as they have failed to meet the Repair/Replace or refund policy, if nothing works out then the last thing (which I really do not wish to do) it to Disputes Tribunal at the courts , a bloody hassle and a waste of f----- time! seriously. if creative would just sort it out or even open and fix it I'd be a really happy customer!

think about it before buying your Creative Gigaworks T3, just sharing my personal experience here , and it ain't good!
