Cutting off part of vector background?

I'm designing some signage for a client in Adobe Illustrator CC 2014. Part of the design uses a screen background of an architectural blueprint that is a vector file. The blueprint bleeds off of the artboard. The printer I'm working with needs the excess blueprint that's bleeding off of the art board cut off. How do I do that?

Draw a rectangle the size of the artboard (aligned with the artboard). Select the background and the rectangle and choose Object > Clipping Mask > Make.

Hi..can anyone help? Songs on my itunes are not playing to the end? They cut off part way through a song. Its not on all the songs but lots of them? thanks

A couple of months ago, I went to the Apple Store to try and sort this problem out. I was told that I was not playing my songs out of an actual music library. I created a library and loaded all of my songs, movies, etc. onto it. I had found that when I synced my songs from the new library onto my itouch, the songs no longer stopped in odd spots or bled into each other. To ensure that most of my songs had been fixed, I played the ones that were the most problematic. Fortunately, the songs play all the way through without any interruption. So far, I have not encountered the same problems that I had posted in my question. I apologize for not knowing the fellow's name who helped me with my iTouch at the Apple Store, but I would like to say how thankful and happy I am now that my iTouch no longer skips to the next song.
I know that other people have had this same issue with their iPods. If you encounter your music not playing correctly, I would suggest that making a new library and  loading all of your music into the new one may help correct the problem. I hope that this helps.

  • Problem: software changes my Outlook contact info when synchronizing (cuts off part of first name)

When I sync, the BB software cuts off part of the first name of my Outlook contacts.  The problem seems to happen when I have a space in the first name (eg: First Name - Bill & Jane).  I have several of my contacts listed that way so I can see spouses of contacts easily.  I have never had this problem before with my other MS Op phone.  Thanks for your help.

    I found out what happens.
Wherever the First Name filed on the BB contains a Blank (or Space) character, when synchronizing to MS Outlook, the content of the field is divided in two parts: the first part, before the Blank, is transferred to the Outlook First Name field, the second part, after the Blank, is transferred to the Outlook Middle Name  field.
This goes beyond the useser's intentions and is a nuisance, becuase you can of course turn around the problem after synchronization, by exporting the MS Outlook contacts to MS Access, or MS Excel, put the two fields together, and reimport them into MS Outlook. But you need to do that each time yoy synchronize.
It would be nice if RIM could fix the issue.

It is a problem with a secondary provider, "mag cloud" .
Right, so to advise you we'd need to know the particulars of MagCloud's spec for your project; format, trim size, bleed, etc.
It's doubtful that anything happened "when uploading for printing," so long as you were uploading a PDF, as opposed to the native InDesign file. Did the PDF look right to you before uploading?

  • How do I adjust iMovie to not cut off part of the photo image as it transitions between photos?

How do I adjust iMovie to not cut off part of the photo as it transitions between photos?

Have you transferred photos from your computer to your iPhone which is selected under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes?
If so, you can place this video in the folder of photos on your computer that is selected to be transferred to your iPhone via the iTunes sync process. Under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, select Include Videos.

  • Firefox cutting off part of swf

Hi - I created a swf and embedded it in a page. When I test it locally, it's fine but when I upload to my test server Firefox cuts off the bottom and right, where the navigation is. I did strip down the embed code because this is going into a CMS.There are other pages on the site with swfs using the same embed code and these work properly. The same thing happened with the original html generated by Flash Catalyst - fine locally, cutting off once uploaded to server.
    Test page: http://cactapus.net/test/AAU/studyabroad/test5.html
    Swf: http://cactapus.net/test/AAU/studyabroad/Main.swf
The swf in html generated by Flash Catalyst: http://cactapus.net/test/AAU/studyabroad/Main.html
Sample page from CMS with swf that works: http://online.academyart.edu/innovative-learning/video-showcase/
    Thanks for any help.

  • Flash player 11 cuts off parts

I have noticed, recently, my flash player has been cutting things off. So if I load a game part will be cut off that I can't access. Or a video (which I previously could watch) I cannot anymore.
I really don't want to have to downgrade, but could I get some help?
I run win 7 (illegeitimate copy) I mainly use Mozilla Firefox, and I have already tried re-installing.
    Thanks
oh and, it works properly on IE

I just updated it, so 9.0.1

  • When I drag a video clip into the upper region, it zooms in, cutting off part of the head of the subject

I have a movie clip imported from my DVD video camera.  After importing, I drag it to the Project library.  However, it then zooms in and cuts off the head of the main subject, besides making things blurry from zooming in.  I would say it almost doubles the zoom.  I have gone to all the options... took of the cropping effect, etc.  Nothing works.   Any ideas?  I saw something else about it on here, but no answers.

This can happen if you have image stabilization turned on as it zooms into the clip to compensate for the camera shake. It can turn it off or control the zoom factor in the Clip Adjustments function. If you reduce the zoom factor too much you'll see black around the image.

  • When i click to play a game in pogo, the pop-up is so large, cannot play it. when i bring it in, it cuts off parts of the game, unable to play like this

When I play a game in pogo, the pop-up is so large, I have tried pulling the screen in, but that doesn't help, as it cuts off a lot of the playing area. Any ideas on how to resolve this.

  • LMS Cutting Off Part of Slides (Cp 8)

When I Publish/Zip/Upload SCORM Package to my Joomla LMS, a large amount of the bottom of my project (Responsive) is cut off. How would I fix this? Within Captivate or on my LMS?

Your LMS may have a preset window size that isn't the same as your project dimensions, but it's also possible that you've unlinked and adjusted the slide height instead of the device height. Read this help page and see if that's the case: http://helpx.adobe.com/captivate/using/responsive-project.html#Adaptive Design/Device Height

  • How can I cut off part of a movie in DVD Studio Pro  created in Quicktime?

I created a project in iMovie, then exported it to a Quicktime file to import into DVD Studio Pro. Now that I have imported it to DVD Studio Pro, it is too big to burn onto 1 disc. I would like to be able to chop off a few minutes of the movie in DVD Studio Pro, but Im not sure how to do it. I am assuming there is some way to chop off part of a movie in the Track editor - can anyone please help with this?
    Thanks

Yes, you can trim a track, but it is a rudimentary control, and not frame accurate.
I think Hal has oversimplified: the process is frame accurate - it is just that your choice of edit points is limited to 'I frames' only. 'I frames' occur about every 12 frames, or 1/2 second, for a typical PAL mpeg2 video track, and every 15 frames, or 1/2 second, for a typical NTSC mpeg2 video track.

  • When printing a simple single photo, my picture looks fine until I press the print button, then the view of what it is going to print looks like it has zoomed in and cuts off part of my original picture.  This does this with every picture I try to print.

When I press print, it looks like it crops or zooms my original pictures and cuts it off, on the print view. Therefore it only prints a zoomed in partial picture?  Anyone else have this problem?

This usually occurs because you're printing a photo in an Aspect Ratio different from the actual shot. The Aspect Ratio is the shape of the photo, expressed as the length x breadth.
So, if you have - for instance - a 4:3 shot and try print that at  4:6 you will have issues.

  • Cutting Off part of a video

ok well I wanted to edit/convert a video file. Since it was too big and I found stuff useless, is there a way to cu t that part out and keep the rest in?

    Hi M
Isn't that what video editing is all about ?
Import You clip from a miniDV Camera and by the FireWire-port.
    - miniDVD, hard disk Cameras
    - USB/USB2
    NOT WORKING.
When imported - put the clip down on the TimeLine (if it isn't there all readdy)
Put the play-head above the point where You want a cut - cmd-T
now move to the other side of the clip and re-do.
Select the un-wanted parts and press erase/delete-key.
OK Now the desired part is left.
