CV02N Error in Windows 7: This file could not be found!
After uploading a file to the DMS, we could usually double click the file name and the file will be opened automatically in WORD.
This was succeeded in Windows XP.
But in Windows 7 environment, after clicking the file name, the WORD is started, no file opened. It says: This file could not be found!.
Is there any solution about this issue? Thanks!
BTW, I have tried GUI 720. But the issue remained the same.

Now what? You've imported the photos, do whatever you want with them.

As an absolute newcomer to Lightroom 5 I have downloaded images direct from camera (IOlympus EM-1) and divided them into folders. When I go into Develop mode, some folders can be developed ok , but with images from two other folders I get the message "This file could not be found". What should I do?
may i suggest opening the files in Olymous Viewer 3 and exporting them (you can do some editing there if you wish or not) asTIFF files. After that you can import the new files into LR. LR seems to like tiiff more than .orf files
The advantage to using OV3 is that it seems to do a much better job converting RAW EM1 files. Colors are more accurate ( my red flower pot turned orange when loaded directly into lightroom)
. The tiff files just LOOK better in LR after the conversion . there is a youtube on this subject and when i tried it myself i was impressed -
I recently had an update from apple and when I installed it on my HP Desktop computer it damaged something. Every time I try to open the ITUNE app. I get an error message
iTunes.exe - Unable To Locate Component
This application has failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
OK

iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes.
Error 7 (Windows error 126)

I went online and read that I should uninstall and reinstall the ITUNE program, however at the end of the install the ERROR 7 message appeared again...

Lightroom all of a sudden says "This file could not be found"?
This happened over night and I don't know what to do about it?
Photos aren't contained in the catalog, their locations and adjustment settings are, but the photos themselves are just on the hard-drive, somewhere. If something else, outside of LR deleted those photos or moved them, then LR wouldn't know that, and indicate they are missing.
Are the photos still on your hard-drive or not? And what is an example path where LR thinks they should be?
Are they in a different location on the hard-drive than they used to be?
When you Import photos into LR it remembers where they are, but if you do something to them outside of LR, not using LR's Folder Panel, then it will still expect them to be at the Import location, and if they are not, then you'll see question marks or exclamation points with a message about them not being where they originally were.
One mistake that could have been made, is that you imported photos into a LR catalog and that catalog remembers them one place, then you opened a new LR catalog and did a Move import, which would move them some other location and they'd be remembered in that second catalog correctly, but not in the first catalog, anymore. If you only have one LR catalog then this is probably not what happened. -
Then what am I looking at if a row of thumbsis displayed at bottom and an image in the middle area?

When selecting a song to play from iTunes library, I continually get an error message indicating the original file could not be found. Then asks, would you like to locate it? Does anyone know how to fix this? I'm not even able to play the songs I purchased due to this error message. Any ideas how to remedy this problem?
ThanksIt would help to have more background about your iTunes collection such as if you keep it on an external drive, or if you have moved or renamed anything recently. iTunes is very sensitive to you renaming or moving files or folders involved with your media. iTunes only keeps a reference to where a media file is located and then goes to look for it when you try to play it. If you have changed things since it was added to itunes then it's like me sending you to look for a friend in my addressbook but that friend has moved.
The other possibility is your computer is starting to lose files. Again, the computer uses a reference database to tell it where on the drive to look for a file. If that database gets corrupt then it starts losing files. Use Dsk Utility's first aid to verify your hard drive. -
The iPod could not be updated because the firmware file could not be found?
I updated iTunes 7.0 and now I need to update the iPod software ver 1.2 and it won't install. I am stuck like Chuck. I've been working on this all day. Can't seem to find a resolution. I already went to the Apple Store Genius Bar and I got some tips but it didn't work. I un-install iTunes and re-install. Tried the 5 R's and nothing. I get a error message that says "firmware file could not be found" when I try to install the update and/or restore. Is anyone else getting this same error message?
Wow, after about 2 weeks I finally got my iPod to update on my very own PC. I followed the directions according to this document, http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=304309, and the iPod software was updated to 1.2 version. I had did this one time before and it didn't work. However, just a few minutes ago it finally went through. Yeaaaa!

Firmware file could not be found
I updated to iTunes 7.0, and my nano would not update or restore to the current firmware version 1.2. I followed an Apple support article directing me to delete an .ipsw file, and now I'm getting a different error message that the firmware file could not be found. I tried repairng, then deleting and re-installing iTunes in hopes of regenerating that file, but no luck. How can I get a non-corrupt. ipsw file back, so I can use the update or restore functions?
Please delete the following entire folder and try
again:
C:\Documents and Setings\yourusername\Application
Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPod Software Updates
You may need to show hidden files in order to see the
Application Data folder. Open up My Computer, and in
the Tools menu, choose "Folder Options..." Then go to
the View tab, and then in the "Advanced settings",
select "Show hidden files and folders."
Thanks a million. This problem was really beginning to wreck my head, but all is well now. -
Fix for "necessary file could not be found" when syncing photos
During the holidays I found the fix for an annoying error message when syncing my iPod Touch (2nd gen), my wifes iPhone 3GS and my iPhone 4, that I'm pleased to share with you all:
The problem was that iTunes gave an error message that "an necessary file could not be found" (my own translation from the Danish wording) when I tried syncing photos - and then syncing stopped/aborted all together. Very annoying!
But it wasn't all photos that triggered this error, only some. I've tried switching usb-port, removing special folders inside "Pictures" and inside "Library" etc.
Yesterday I tried to remove the "iPod Photo Cache" folder inside the iPhoto Lib itself. And that resolved this issue! Eg. ctrl-click the iPhoto Lib file, show content of package and delete/move the "iPod Photo Cache" folder to trash.
Hope this will help others!Had the same problem, but with music only. Thank you for the information

I was trying out Photoshop, everything was running fine then one day when I close it I get an error:
"Could not save preferences because the file could not be found..."
Now when I boot it I get the Configuration Error 1.
After Effects still boots, but it reset all my preferences there. For example the workplace layout was reset, all my saved Output presets were removed and my memory-cache and performance settings were reset again.
Premiere and InDesign get the error too and won't boot.
This is the second time it has happened, I'll try wiping every Adobe program and reinstalling all over again, but it had run fine before for a while and it randomly happened.
Any idea how to fix this?Nope I havent touched the Documents folder.

With Windows 7 I upgraded itunes to 11. Now in my itunes library, when I click on a song "original file could not be found" comes up. This happens with over 2000 songs, but it seems to be ones I recorded from cd's. Locate does not seem to work. Has anyone else had this problem?
Highlight a song that is supposedly missing, press CTRL+I to Get Info, say no when asked to locate the file, then look at the summary tab. Where does iTunes "think" the file should be? Where is it really? You may need to give a configuration file a minor tweak.

i-tunes could not be used because the original file could not be found.could not locate.this error occurs on most of my songs in my library and will not play even though they are in my i-pod and play with no trouble.can anyone please help?
I was not complete clear.
Since you never changed the settings in the advanced section of iTunes preferecnes, you have to chech that your music is really in the location setted in the folders reported in the advanced section. If not you have 2 ways: reset the position of this folders or in the actual disk organisation or in the pointing on the preferences.
If you press the reset button you just give to itunes its default setting as for the position of the music files: probably this will be a good choice if you have never changed any default preference.
But before I would check the folders and see if the songs are really there
In my iTune I have this, and I believe it is the default.
