CVP 7.0.1 Call Studio app seems locked or corrupted after licensing attempt

All,
I attempted to license Call Studio with a license file that was already used (message window popped up stating the file was already used).  We've been experiencing with sorting out the licensing for CS and there's 2 servers we have installed the client on which of course they both have unique System IDs.  Since the license failure I cannot license Studio with the correct license file we received today because the application no longer has 'Activate' in the Help menu. 
Can I uninstall CS and reinstall it?  Plus, will the reinstall maintain the same system ID we received the correct license for? 
I've attached the log files from the About menu and screenshots of Studio.

We went through the Setup.exe to repair the installation, reinstalled Studio, applied the correct license file and it now works without issues.

  • Courtesy Callback for CVP 9 w/o Call Studio

    Just a question, is Call Studio a requirement to be able to utilize courtesy callback for CVP? I have a customer using only micro-apps and didn't purchase Call Studio but they might be potentially looking at some sort of callback solutions. Hence, the question. Many thanks.

    Other callback solution would be custom and should be possible through ICM scripting (depends how you do it) directly.

  • The video on the Camera app seems to turn off after a few min...I am trying to do a 20 min video.   What am I doing wrong please?

    The camera app has a video feature on it and I tried to do a 20 min video but it seems to turn off after a few minutes.  I tried twice with the same results.  There is no info under settings or anywhere on time restraints.  Does anyone have any suggestions please?

    I do not know if this is related to your problem, but there is a setting on the iPad called "Auto-Lock".  Mine is set for 5 minutes.  One of the options is Never.  See Settings-General-Auto-Lock.

  • All music tracks on my iPod seem to be corrupt after adding podcasts

    Ok, I'm desperate here, but I'm pretty sure I know there is nothing I can do. My situation:
    I bought a 80GB 5G iPod right when they first came out (six weeks ago?) in preparation for a 6-8 month long trip I am currently on. I loaded my whole music collection onto the iPod (about 50GB worth of music) and all was glorious. Everything worked great. Just before I left to travel across the country, I added a bunch of podcasts as well. All was still glorious. I should add I used WinXP to add the previously mentioned music/podcasts, and that I used iTunes v7.0.1 and had the iPod v1.2 software.
    I then departed for my trip across the country and the iPod performed marvellously. I was thrilled with my toy. Four weeks later, I am staying with some friends in California, and I thought it would be a great chance to update my podcasts and maybe add some new ones. So I added a bunch with my friends computer, which is a Mac Powerbook (and iTunes v7.0.1).
    Again, everything was working great... all the music and the podcasts. I am now getting ready to leave their house and continue travelling, so I added some more podcasts to my iPod.
    So... I went to play some music today, none of my music would play, all the files seem to be corrupt. All my podcast (video and regular) are all functional. I am really devastated since I have no way to get my music library back onto the iPod if I do a restore, since my computer is thousands of miles away in a storage unit.
    Any idea what happened? How I can prevent it from happening again? Any remote chance I can salvage anything?

    check and see if the files causing this issue are mono audio format (vs. stereo).. if so, convert them to stereo until apple comes out with a fix... (u.u) they should play once you convert them..

  • AIR app seems to become unresponsive after sitting idle

    I built a straight forward info kiosk using Flash AS3 and used AIR to distribute it.
    The main items of the file:
    Straight ahead navigation with buttons that jump to frame markers.
    It has a 3 minute timer which returns it to the start page if it is not touched within that time limit.
    It has several screens that display web pages in a component web browser window.
    The problems I have hit: I have had the kiosk react as if the timer were set to 5 seconds and return to the home page too quickly. I have had buttons not work while others were working.
    But a restart of the AIR app corrects these issues and it works fine. It worked fine in my office however I did not test it in auto mode over several days of turning on and off and running all day.
    The system it is on is Windows 7. The system auto starts each morning, launches the app, then shuts down at days end.
    Could there be an issue with the app being up for 8 hours a day? Does it need to refresh itself?

    It is AIR 3.2. If I download 3.3 will Flash Pro recognize that and update to 3.3 or do I need to do something in Flash to utilize the upgrade when publishing as AIR?
    When you say "some sort of leak"? What would a leak be? I am not familiar with the term or what it implies?

  • Canon Raw (CR2) files seem to get corrupted after some times

    I use a fully registered Lightroom 5.3 with my Canon 5D Mark III, and I have this kind of corruption on some of my CR2 files from times to times. If i reimport the .cr2 file in another catalog or even on another the resulting file is still corrupted.
    The wierdest thing is that the original import was successful and I successfully exported it several times correctly. The corruption should have happens afterward:
    Do you have any idea where does this comes from? This is absolutely inacceptable from a professional software.
    PS: I had this kind of curruption with an old version of Lightroom with my previous pentax K7d, but I though this was past

    The software is not corrupting them, it's just revealing existing corruption. (yeah, I know some apps can still display the jpeg preview without revealing the corruption, still... - Lr is a raw editor..).

  • Flash CS4 file seems to be corrupt after I open it in CS5.5?

    I am currently between workspaces as I am using computers at uni which have CS4 and at home I have CS5.5. In order to use my fla files I saved separate copies as CS4 so I can work on them in uni too but now I've progressed and I'm trying to open them in CS5.5 and just hangs everytime I try to open my main fla file. I get a blank dialogue box eventually but if I press okay a blank timeline and stage are all that seems to be contained in the file. Can anyone help me recover my file? I've just been kicked out of uni so I can't go back there! (It closes early on weekends)

  • Cisco Unified Call Studio 8.0 and above with VMWare image?

    There is no official Cisco document which says "CallStudio" can run on VMware environment. However when the licensing was based on SystemID till 7.0 release, we have seen Cisco installing them in couple of customer "demo" location under VMware in region. Version 8.0 and above, the licensing mechanism for Call Studio uses a new FlexLM-based [IPlocking] license. None of the official documents like release notes /installation and upgrade guide / hardware configuration guide doesn't specify support of VM Ware support for Call Studio. Would installing Call Studio in VM Ware image would work above 8.0 with the new licensing in place and is it officially supported by Cisco?

    Studio 8.0 installs on XP and Vista. Studio 8.5 installs on Windows 7, Vista, XP.
    There are no real performance issues that Cisco could object to if the above operating systems were "guest O/S" on a VMware ESX server - it's not the same situation as the CVP servers, where they do have firm guidelines.
    Studio works in this environment and I have customers who run Studio on a "guest O/S" - Cisco did not say specifically that this would be an issue.
    But I don't have any documents that confirm that this is OK.

Does anyone know of an iPad app that locks the device after a period longer than 24 hours (ike most parental control apps)??

    It's called "SelfControl". It can be a little hard to learn to use but it's worth the effort.

  • CVP Studio apps for CCB - passing data between apps

    Hello,
    we currently have UCCE 9.0(4) with CVP 9.0(4) and have Courtesy Callback working with the out-of-the box ICM script and CVP studio apps.
    In the ICM script when we it passed the qname to the CallbackEntry app, I have added another field called comp for company name to be used within that app. That seems to work great so that I can choose a different SetQueueDefault node depending on which company I am using for CCB (each company needs to use a different Calling Line ID value as well as a different Maximum Estimated Wait Time),
    The problem I am experiencing now is that I am trying to use this same comp field within the CallbackWait app so that I can play a different announcement to the caller depending on which company is being used (ex. This is a callback for Company A for..., or This is a callback for Company B for....). It always hits the Return Exit State of that decision node since it doesn't have that comp value available.
    Does anyone know how I can pass that comp value from the CallbackEntry CVP Studio app to the other apps so that they can all access it and make decisions from it?
    I'm still new to CVP and CCB so I'm not familiar with what I can do with it yet.
    Is there any documentation available for CVP Studio Apps that would explain how this can be done?
    I would appreciate any help with this.

    You may want to consider a single sign-on (SSO) solution. Consult the documentation for your application server to see what SSO solutions they support.

  • CVP call studio and default audio

    Not sure if this should get posted here or on the development forum but it's getting posted here anyways...
    We have 4 combo boxes in our CVP deployment so we have 4 media servers. I'm trying to figure out what to configure for the Default Audio Path URI in Call Studio when creating a project .It appears that I have to specify either a single media server to pull the audio from or pull it from flash.
    I know our gateways will pull down the wav files from the media servers but if I specify flash in the studio application, do I need to load the wav file directly onto flash on the router or can it access the media servers and pull it down? We run most of our ICM scripts off of microapps, not custom vxml apps. Most of the documentation and the partner class I took doesn't look at multi server deployments and combo boxes like as most standard deployments are like this now. I don'ts ee anything in the Cisco docs for CVP that specify this information. Any help would be appreciated.
    We are using SIP and CSS if that makes a difference.

    The normal way is to use the VIP you built on your CSS. Let's say this is a.b.c.d and it manages the IP address of the media servers as a "service", providing load balancing and resilience.
    For each application in Studio you should make a matching default audio path and put all the media files under that. Makes it easy - even if there is repetition of system files (1.wav, 2.wav etc). You can control the lifetime (expiration) on IIS more easily.
    Let's assume your application is called "foobar" and your locale is "en-us".
    So set the path to
    http://a.b.c.d/en-us/app/foobar/
    Don't forget the trailing slash. As you go through the Studio program, you just need to specify an audio item as "mywavefile.wav" and that makes it really easy to look at the Prompt Dictionary, as they have simple wav file names and no path information.
    Others may have different views, of course. I'm prepared to vigorously defend mine.
    On IIS you will have wwwroot\en-us\app\foobar with a bunch of files.

    2. Play the customerID ---> Insert to PV9 (ex: 12390)
    3. Check monthly bill
    4. Option enter another customerID
    5. Back to step 2 ---> Insert to PV9 (ex:12390,12380)

  • My app seems to consume an enormous amount of API calls every day? Please help!

    I am tired and sad and frustrated here, and feel like a total moron. I am very sorry if my post is too long and not very well put together, but im beggin anyone with some experience here to please give me some advice.
    I am currently testing out a app I have created to let people add events, search for events, comment on and get notified about changes in events they have signed up for. I have used Azure Mobile Service for this, and it all seems to have worked well. This is
    mostly a learning app for me, since I am very much a noob.
    Now we are nearing launch of the app, and I have started to look at the numbers in Azure. I am on the free version right now, where 16k api calls a day are free (will move to priced tier on launch) - but the numbers look completely off the hook here!
    Every day 2-3 devices seem to run up 600-700 API calls. I do run the testing app hard, of course, but I guess some user might do that to.
    So - 4% of the daily free calls are consumed by 3 devices. That means 33 users could fill the quota, and the first paid tier only gives room for 300 users.
    Am I reading something wrong here? Is my app then not viable? I think it, even with my noobness, has a potentil to get a few thousand users. Does that mean Im gonna have to go to the top tier? Because I can not afford that.
    Over to the stack part of the question:
    I log the user in, I create the tables, and then when they hit search I do something like this:

    I would expect that to be a single API-call, but it seems to run up tens of calls - just there? How is that possible?
    When the user is not in the app, I run a background service in Android that goes through a local db of events the user has created and then checks against the db for any changes to them. I do that like this:

    I am horribly lost here, people. I ran around a hundred random clicks around the app this evening - and racked up over 1500 api calls. I have been cold sweating since that. Any advice or info about how this api call-system works would be very much appreciated.

  • CVP Call Studio - concatenate variable data

    Hello,
    I'm new to Call Studio, do not have my hands on the software yet.
    Is it possible to concatenate variable data within a call studio script?
    The business wants to capture IVR menu selections for reporting purposes.  The IVR is complex and will require a CVP VXML server application.  My plan is to utilize a call variable within call studio, update the variable with flags/values for each menu selection, then send this data back to ICM.  In ICM, I will analyze this variable and set call types accordingly for reporting.

    ok, so in call studio i would do it like this.i would define one variable say session data "retVAL" and update its value based on menu selection.
    if you closely loom at attached screenshot everything is there. value of all 3 menu options are concatenated and assigned to session data called retVAL using substitution  builder.
    and the value of same variable is returned to ICM using CVP sub dialog return.

    I got the below error when I tried to use the Database element in CVP Call Studio to connect to a MSSQL database.
    touch111_24-7_Database,07/08/2014 13:52:31.724, The error was: A built-in element encountered an exception of type com.audium.server.AudiumException. There was a problem looking up the JNDI data source 'ivr1'. The root cause was: javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: Name ivr1 is not bound in this Context.
    I have added the below to the context.xml file :
