CVP Reporting Server Installation Password Error

Trying to install CVP 4.1 reporting server and I can't get past the Reporting Password screen. I've made the password as difficult as I possibly can and nothing seems to work. Anyone have any ideas?
This is the message that keeps appearing.
"Chosen password does not meet local security policy checks. Verify criteria such as Minimum Password Age."

  • SCOM Reporting Server Installation Give Error The specified SQL Server instance is not valid

    Hi All,
I am trying to install SCOM 2012 SP1 Reporting Server on a Windows Server 2012 running SQL Server 2012 SP1. The SQL Server also host instance for SCCM 2012 SP1 named SCCM, and not in clustered environment.
For SCOM 2012 SP1, I choose SQL instance named SCOM. At first, I successfully installed SCCM 2012 SP1 Reporting Services. I have SSRS configured to use port 80 for both SCCM and SCOM instance, and not using SSL, with IP Address settings: All assigned. SQL
Server Agent services on both instances are configured to started automatically. I could access http://scsqlserver/reports_SCCM and http://scsqlserver/reporserver_SCCM, but could not for http://scsqlserver/reports_SCOM and http://scsqlserver/reporserver_SCOM.
    On OpsMgrSetupWizard.log give error
    [12:24:53]: Error:
:CheckHttpAddressResponse failed: Threw Exception.Type: System.Net.WebException, Exception Error Code: 0x80131509, Exception.Message: The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error.
    [12:24:53]: Error:
    :StackTrace:   at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.GetResponse()
       at Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.OperationsManager.Setup.ReportingComponent.CheckHttpResponseFromSRSUrl(String httpSite)
I may continue Reporting Server installation that give no error mentioned above, if I choose SSRS instance named SCCM, but it is not supported for both SCCM and SCOM 2012 using same SSRS instance. Personal certificate for ConfigMgr SQL Server Authentication
on SQL Server has been exported and deleted. Restarting SQL Server also has been done, but no luck.
    Many thanks for your help.

    Hello,
I'm afraid you must use a dedicated instance of SQL Server for each site(SCOM/SCCM). Some similar issues were disscussed on this forum:

HI ,i had my report server on SQL SERVER 2005,and for

it run ,but i dont want to create another one since it was pretty big and took lot of time to design it
Is there any way i can use the same rdl with that report server ,one of my collegue told that i can do in one way (using  catalog of SQL server 2008 Reporting in sql server 2005 report server database i did'nt get that much as iam not aware of that
catalog stuff .and i tried to configure the report server once again and i am getting this new error
THE REPORT SERVER INSTALLATION IS NOT INITIALIZED (rsReportServer NOT ACTIVATED)

  • CUIC datasource for CVP Reporting server

    Hello,
I have a CVP Reporting Server that was running for a while. I also have CUIC installed and I was able to generate IVR reports using the CVP templates. Suddenly, I see that the CVP Reporting Server in CUIC Datasources is OFFLINE.
Given that nothing has been changed, what could be the issue? Does the cvp_dbuser expire?
I am getting the following error in CUIC:
Attempt to connect to database server (cvp_db_<rpt_server_hostname>) failed.
    Any advice is highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Justine.

Thanks David for the fast and helpful reply.
Even though the correct license file was applied (cisco 8.0 permanent uncounted) to the Reporting Server, I can see in the CVP Reporting Server's Error log that the license had expired.
RPT_EVAL Component license already expired on ...
I can also see the license file in the managed license files in CVP Operations Console.
I tried to re-transfer the same file but couldn't, Reporting Server is unreachable.
Failed - Device could not be reached
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Justine.

in sql server 2012 sp1 reporting service configured (web service URL and Report Manager URL are configured and tested,  the database report server mode is native) (SQl 2012 Server)
under general Application Settings .. trying to setup the "Reporting Service Integration" give us the above error message (Report Server WMI Provider Error: Invalid namespace)
I was looking for all blogs and TechNet material but without success.

    Follow these steps:
    1) Uninstall SSRS from the Database Engine server (MSSQLSERVER instance).
    2) Install SSRS on the SharePoint server using the "Reporting Services - SharePoint" install option during SQL Feature selection, no other services are required (e.g. you do not need to install Database Engine services).
    3) You should then see SSRS as a Service Instance in Central Admin -> Manage Services on Server, at which point you can also create an SSRS Service Application.
While this guide (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj219068.aspx#bkmk_install_SSRS) walks you through it, this is for a single server install where the Database Engine is also installed on SharePoint, not something you want to do.

  • Calendar Server installation gets error "libnmspr20.dll not found"

Calendar Server installation gets error "libnmspr20.dll not found"
    <P>
When installing Calendar Server 3.5 on NT near the end an error
occurs: "libnmspr20.dll not found " and then it will exit the setup
    without completion.
This is a bug because it is looking for the libnmspr20.dll in the
system path but the Calendar Server installation has left it in a
temp directory. This does not occur if the Netscape Messaging Server
has been previously installed on the same host. A workaround is, when
the error message displays, you DON'T press ok, but search your
computer for the missing file (usually found in temp-directory).
You then copy the file to a directory in your system path. Now you
can press the OK button and the installation will fail. Re-install
the calendar server, this time the installation won't fail.

Installing Latest JRE on NT4 sp6a produces the same error:
    InstallShield DLL Custom Action:
File 'C:\TEMP\RegUtils.dll' can not be found. Make sure the file is on the target system or installed already.
I searched www.installshield.com since the error is an installer error and the installer is InstallShield. NO results found there either.
Seems like the installer team needs to brush up on the NT4 platform.

    Hi Vivek,
In Reporting Services, values for LogonUser, LogonDomain, and LogonCred are created when the report server connection is configured to use a domain account. As to the error that “The encrypted value for the "LogonCred" configuration setting cannot be decrypted”,
we can know that it relates to the domain account for report server connection.
To fix this issue, we can refer to the following steps:
Log in to SQL Server Database Engine in SQL Server Management Studio.
Under Security folder, give sufficient permissions for your domain account.
Open your Reporting Services Configuration (go to Start -> All Programs -> Microsoft SQL Server 2005 -> Configuration Tools -> Reporting Services Configuration)
Navigate to the Database Setup tab, select ‘Service Credentials’ as the Credentials Type, then type your domain account and password in there. Press Apply.
    Restart the Report Server services.

    Hope this helps.

  • Report Server Installation Problem

    hi
we have installed java web server and dev6 server and deployed our application (which
was coded on Forms 5 later converted to 6) it is working fine in the web browser
but we have problem in running developer report server as nt service. we have followed the same steps as stated on oracle documentation.
we have added all the necessary entries in the registry and created an entry at tnsnames.ora, then installed the oracle report server at the command prompt - the service was added. upto this point it was quite okay. when we startup the report service we are getting "Oracle Report Server Service retuned server specfic error 186"
our oracle server runs on diffrent system
whose ip address is 129.1.2.203 and instance name is O8E. the web server and developer server runs on workstation and it got the following entry on the tnsnames.ora:
    rserver.world =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS_LIST =
    (ADDRESS =
    (PROTOCOL = TCP)
    (Host = 129.1.2.201)
    (Port = 1521)
    (CONNECT_DATA = (SID = O8E)
we have checke-up all the trouble-shooting tips given in the documentation, but all in vain.
can anybody suggest some tips on this
    thanks in advance
    regds.,
    null

The tns entry you show for rserver is a DATABASE entry (it has a SID) which would explain why this doesn't work - the reports server entry is shorter.
Please refer to the Reports Server Configuration whitepaper, available on OTN (under the 6.0 collateral) which provides in-depth instructions for setting this up. In Reports 6i the installer does all this for you.

Ensure that SQL Server Reporting Services has been correctly installed and configured
To verify that Reporting Services is configured correctly
Verify that the ReportServer and ReportServerTempDB databases in SQL Server Management Studio are located on the stand-alone server.
Verify the correct configuration of SQL Server Reporting Services. Click Start, point to Programs, point to the appropriate offering of Microsoft SQL Server, point to Configuration Tools, and then click Reporting Services Configuration Manager. Connect
to the instance on which you installed Reporting Services.
3.In the navigation pane, select the <servername>\SQLinstance. This displays the Report Server status in the results pane. Ensure that the Report Server Status is Started.
4.In the navigation pane, select Scale-out Deployment, and then ensure that the Status column has the value of Joined.
5.Verify that the Report Server website is functioning and available by browsing to
http://servername/reportserver_<$instance>. You should see a page with the <servername>/ReportServer_<$INSTANCE> and the text, Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services Version ##.#.####.##
where the # is the version number of your SQL Server installation.
6.Verify that the Report Manager website is configured correctly by opening Internet Explorer and browsing to <a href="http:///reports_<instance">http://<servername>/reports_<instance>.
7.In the Report Manager website, click New Folder to create a new folder. Enter a name and description, and then click OK. Ensure that the new, created folder is visible on the Report Manager website.

  • Reporting server installation issue

    Hello,
I have a problem while installing SCOM 2012 R2 Reporting server. My configuration is as follows:
    1) 3 servers - 1 database server on SQL 2012 Standard SP2 + 2 SCOM 2012 R2 Management servers
    2) all servers on Windows 2012 R2 Standard
    3) Windows Firewall is disabled on all servers
    4) DB server + Reporting server is installed on SQL server
    5) I am able to access SQL Reporting server URLs
    6) Account I am using to install is local admin on SQL and SCOM management server and has public and sysadmin role in SQL
During the installation I got error messages below. Any idea?

    Hi,
Did you install SCOM reporting on the SQL server which has SQL Reporting service running?
Have you followed the link below:
    http://www.rickygao.com/step-by-step-installing-system-center-2012-r2-operation-manager/
In which step you got this error. How about changing another admin account to install the reporting server?

  • Reporting Server Installation Compatibility

    Hi,
I've completed the construction of an OES 11 SP1/SLES 11 SP2 server with ZENworks 11 SP2, Updated to 11.2.1/11.2.2 via the manual update method. I'm preparing to install the ZENworks Reporting Server, but I'm hesitant due to the fact that the ZEN Reporting Server 11.2 installation guide tells me that the requirements to install the reporting software stop at SLES 11 SP1 (well, that coupled with the fact that the installation media is named "ZENworks11SP1_Reporting_Lin", which doesn't sound like SP2) .
I've initially launched the installation process via setup.sh, but I'm receiving input/output errors when executing the command. The exact error is: "/media/iso/Install/Disk1/InstData/Linux/VM/install.bin: /media/iso/Install/Disk1/InstData/Linux/VM/install.bin: Input/Output error". I will download the iso again and double check the md5sum to be sure of the integrity of the download.
The most important set of questions I'd like to ask are: (1) Is this version of the reporting software incompatible with the environment I've built? (2) If the answer to (1) is "yes", when will Novell be releasing a compatible version for this environment?
Of course, if anyone has seen the error I mentioned earlier and would like to save me some time downloading another copy, I'd be happy to listen to your experience and potential solution.
    Thanks,
    Elliott

Yes, the SP1 ZRS works with ZCM 11.2. It's kinda dumb with the naming, but that's what you do/use/install.
But I've not tried on an OES11 SP1 server, just on plain SLES11 SP1 at the time.

  • Copying objects within Crystal Reports Server produces an error

When trying to copy an object from one folder to another within Crystal Reports Server XI R2, I encounter the following error:
There was an error while writing data back to the server: Two destination property bags exist. Use the bag that is appropriate for your client's version number: SI_DESTINATION (version XI and earlier) and SI_DESTINATIONS (version XI Release 2 and later).
I did have a copy of BOE XI installed however, this was removed prior to installing CRS XI R2
fyi - The 'Move' of objects works fine

    Hi,
The issue you are facing is because there are still some registry entries left behind by XI. It is always recommended to do a clean install.
For now, you may > back up the registry > run regedit > search for traces specific to XI > delete the keys.
    hope it helps.
    Cheers,
    Subhodeep
