CVS extension no longer available via "Check for Updates" ?

Hi,
It seems that CVS (or any other Versioning support tools) SQLDev extension are no longer available via "Check for Updates".
I've just downloaded 2.1.1.64 and tried to setup whatever extensions we used to use and they simply do not appear in the list.
Can this extension be downloaded as a bundle and installed from local file? Where from?
Oracle SQL Developer 2.1.1.64
Version 2.1.1.64
Build MAIN-64.45
IDE Version: 11.1.1.2.36.55.30
Product Version: 11.1.1.64.45
Java(TM) Platform 1.6.0_11
Oracle IDE 2.1.1.64.45
Versioning Support 2.1.1.64.45

Thank you, Sue. Much appreciated.
FYI. I've just downloaded SQLDev 3EA release and I'm still facing the same problem.
Default Update Centers available are:
1) Oracle SQL Developer ( http://www.htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=raptor:updates )
2) Oracle Extensions ( http://www.oracle.com/ocom/groups/public/@otn/documents/webcontent/162031.xml )
3) Third Party SQL Developer Extensions ( http://www.oracle.com/ocom/groups/public/@otn/documents/webcontent/162031.xml )
When I mark the first two all I get at the next screen is two entries:
Oracle Product Extensions for SQL Developer   (Hide) (- which is simply a header I suppose)
Oracle Rdb Extension 7.3 (Details)
The CVS extension jars can be copied from previous SQLDev installations (download used to work a couple of releases back), but it should be still available for download via "Check for Updates" or bundled with the product itself.

  • Can't download JUNIT extension via "check for updates"

    Hi,
since a few weeks (with jdev 11.1.1.1.0 and jdev 11.1.1.2.0) I can't download e.g. JUNIT extensions via "check for updates".
I have to enter a password but authentication is not possible.
Even when I reset the passord (via "find password") it does not work any more.
Im 100% sure that this worked some time ago without problems.
I can access http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/101/update/center.xml#oracle.jdeveloper.junit and download the extension manually.
    regards

    Peter,
no problems on my side with my account. I did it yesterday without any problem.

  • SUS - Some Clients Take a Long Time to Check for Updates

We have the newest XSERVE, running 10.6, with 12GB of RAM. We use it as our software update server and for some reason, some clients take a long time to check for updates. I'm talking anywhere from an 30 mins to an hour. I can't figure it out. Some clients are quick, some are extremely long.
Now if I tell the client to just check Apple for updates, it takes a few seconds.
    Can anyone offer any suggestions?
    Thanks.

After another restart, firefox has begun throwing errors when starting from terminal. the error reported is:
/opt/kde/bin/skim: error while loading shared libraries: libpng12.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
This is printed 5 times, then gives up and firefox loads quickly after. So this appears to be an issue with skim and libpng similar to other problems being reported.
Some research uncovered that skim is no longer supported and is part of my kdemod3 install, however until this update it was working fine under kdemod4.

  • Receiving error after installing TimesTen update via "Check For Updates"

After applying the automatic update, I'm getting this error every time I start SQL Developer:
SEVERE     131     0     oracle.dbtools.raptor.timesten.TTAddin     Cannot find TimesTen JDBC jar files in CLASSPATH

I'm guessing that you have not installed the TimesTen In Memory Database?
I got the same error because I have not installed TimesTen either.
You can easily disable the extension by Tools -> Preferences ->Extensions and uncheck the TimesTen one.
If you have installed TimesTen, I think that you need to add the jar files to your classpath environment variable ;-)

  • My firefox beta 12 using Linux platform does not update to firefox RC1 via the "check for update" function. I know windows' beta version had this fixed, when would Linux get similar support ?

    Current platform : Linux
Current firefox version : Firefox 4 beta 12
Issue : does not update to RC 1 using the check for update feature.
Background : previously downloaded beta 8 and then it automatically updated to beta 12 using update features but for RC1, it does not.
I know users under Windows platform had same problem but was resolved and they can now update via check for update feature.
Please implement for Linux users too.
    Thanks !!

If you can't update then you can download and install the full Firefox 4 RC version.

  • JDev 10.1.2 : Check for Updates

    hi
In "Getting Started With Unit-testing" (*1) dated December 2004, on page 7 I read this:
"When you have an account on OTN, you can plug JUnit easily into JDeveloper from the menu: Help -> Check for Updates -> check the JUnit Extension -> next. It will automatically download the JUnit plug-in files to your [JDeveloper home]\jdev\lib\ext directory (in Oracle JDeveloper 10.1.2 and previous versions)."
If I tried it, I got this: "No updates are available."
Did I do something wrong or are there no updates available?
    thanks
    Jan Vervecken
    (*1) http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/collateral/papers/10g/GettingStartedWithUnitTesting.pdf
    related threads I found :
    - "JUnit plugin?"
    JUnit plugin?
    - "JDev 10.1.2 : JUnit extension"
    JDev 10.1.2 : JUnit extension

In 10.1.2 and earlier, check for updates only tracks extensions installed by check for updates. If you install extensions manually, it doesn't know anything about them (in case you're interested, the technical reason for this is that prior to 10.1.3, we did not store sufficient version information and a unique identifier for each extension in the extension manifest, so it was impossible to identify an extension already installed in the product in lib/ext as matching an extension available on the update center.
If you do install an already installed extension via Check for Updates, it's harmless (it will just copy the extension jar back over itself and CfU will "realize" you have it installed).
    Thanks,
    Brian

  • Patch 1.1.3 - check for updates not working?

    Hi all;
I can't get the check for updates to work.
Help/About shows I am running version 1.1.2.25, build main 25.79
Help/check for updates has the "Official Oracle extensions and Updates" and the "Oracle SQL Developer" boxes checked
When I search, it says no updates available. Do I need need to add another Update Center?
I'm running it on Windows XP, SP2
    Thanks
    Al

Try Help -> About -> Extensions and check the version
of Oracle SQL Developer. If this shows 1.1.3.27.66,
then you have already upgraded to 1.1.3.
Unfortunately, the version details on Help -> About
-> About are the details of the last full install -
they are not updated when upgrading via Check for
Updates. That is it. Thank you very much for your help

  • Updating apps in iTunes 11.0.3 "check for updates" missing?

Hi, I've just updated to 11.03 and when I look at the apps listing I know longer have a "check for updates" button. Does anyone know where its gone?
Sorry found it now - new menu item.
    Duh.

Open iTunes. Your music library should be front and center, with the "iTunes Store" button in the upper-right and the "Music" button in the upper-left. Click on that Music button in the upper-left, and select "Apps" from the drop-down menu. Now along the center of the top area should be six options, "All", "iPhone/iPod touch", "iPad", "iPod Games", "List" and "Updates". Click on Updates. From here you can either click the "Update All Apps" button that finally appears in the lower-right corner, or click on any app individually for the option to manually update just that app.
The "Check For Available Downloads..." option you can select from the "Store" menubar item serves a different purpose entirely; while I've used it for downloading music I had already purchased but been unable to initially download, it does nothing for downloading new updates to apps already in my iTunes App library.

  • How to disable check for updates??

I ve to package a ctrlPrint 5.0.2.33 plugin to adobe incopy CS3. After installing that plugin exe , in adobe incopy first window, plugin will add two tabs called ctrl and ctrlPrint if we press ctrl tab than there is a feature called check for updates and i have to disable this update so pls suggest me how to do it ?  no reg entry ,no update reg ,no xlm file for update is there.

    Hi,
If you are referring to Help -> Check for Updates, I'm not certain if that is possible.
If you mean Tools -> Preferences -> Extensions, just uncheck the Automatically Check for Updates box. Doing that is standard procedure for improving the tool's launch performance.

  • Why does "Check for Updates..." show that there are no updates available while I'm using Firefox 3.6.18 and latest version is 5.0.1?

First and foremost, I'd like to clarify that I hardly have any technical knowledge. So pardon me if this comes across as a silly question to the professionals. Here are the details pertaining to this problem as per the best of my limited knowledge:
I'm currently using Mozilla Firefox 3.6.18; previously it was 3.6.13. It was updated to 3.6.13 from 3.6.9 after I clicked on Check for Updates... and it told me that it'd be done when I reboot my system. When I restarted my PC, I was surprised to find that it was downloading the version 3.6.18. I didn't know how much it'd progressed in the process, so I let it finish it. After that, I disabled the option that enables it to download and update on its own, and turned it off. Next time when I started it, it was 3.6.18, but wasn't updating on its own anymore.
Now I wanna update it directly to the latest version 5.0.1. But when I leave it to "'''Automatically download and install the update'''" option under Tools>Options>Advanced>Update, it downloads and updates the versions as per their release order. So if I leave it to it, then when I start it next time, it'll start downloading the version next to 3.6.18 and update to it instead of updating directly to 5.0.1. It'll keep doing so until it reaches there. For reasons of my own, I don't like that. So I '''unchecked '''the "Automatically download and install the update" option and chose the "'''Ask me what I want to do'''" option (so that it doesn't keep repeating the "downloading and updating" process on its own every time I start my PC). Then I went to Firefox site and thought of downloading and updating to the latest version on my own. But then I was informed that if I do so, '''I'll get the latest version, but I'll lose all my saved bookmarks unless I follow some hectic procedure to save them and load them again after installing the latest version of Firefox'''. I don't want to let that happen either. So, can anyone suggest me a way out of this situation without losing my bookmarks?
Almost forgot. I tried several times by going to '''Help>Check For Updates...''', but every time it returned the same result: "There are no updates available. Firefox will check periodically for updates." How come no update is available while the version I'm using is 3.6.18 and the latest version is 5.0.1? In short, '''Check for Updates...''' didn't help either. (Even when I updated it last time, shouldn't it have updated itself from version 3.6.13 to 5.0.1 directly?)
So, can anyone suggest a way by which I won't lose my bookmarks and would be able to update to the latest version directly too? An answer that wouldn't involve removing the current version and installing the latest one, but directly update to it (it's okay if it needs downloading) would be more welcome. I know that the bookmarks can be saved in a file and all, but I'd like to know if it's possible as it happened for my current version from previous version. (It downloaded and updated itself on its own, disturbing nothing, not even logged me out of certain accounts where I stay logged in. The only problem there was that it wasn't updating directly to the latest version.)
I hope the aforementioned details make sense and are helpful enough for others to help me. Thanks.

Thanks a lot for your swift response. And sorry if it was a bit too hectic to go through my detailed query (which I did because it was misunderstood when I asked previously). As I've mentioned above, I was informed that updating to 5.0.1 would '''require''' me to '''delete''' the current version and then install the new one. And doing so will involve losing all my bookmarks. I guess I should have been more specific and detailed there. By losing, I didn't mean losing them forever. I'm aware that they're secured in some place and deleting and installing the software doesn't harm its existence. What I meant that if I install the new version, I'd have to delete the old one. And after installing the new version, I'd have to transfer them (bookmarks) back from wherever they are. Get it? When it updated from 3.6.9 to 3.6.13, and from 3.6.13 to 3.6.18, I didn't need to follow that process. They were already present on their own.
BTW, I'm having no problems with 3.6.18 but after learning about the existence of version 5.0.1, I'm a bit too eager to lay my hands over it.
Thanks for your help; hope this wasn't extremely long.

  • My Firefox 3.6.20 does not display Firefox 6.0 when "Check For Updates", instead it shows that No Updates Available. Why is that?

I just today updated to Firefox 3.6.20 from Firefox 3.6.18. I tried checking for new updates again using the Check for Updates option under Help and it said that "There are no updates available. Firefox will check periodically for updates." I am looking for Firefox 6 update, but it does not find it. This happened before when I tried to search for Firefox 5 when I had Firefox 3.6.18 and before Firefox 6 came out. Why does it not detect the latest version of Firefox when there is clearly a newer version out there?

Thanks a lot for your swift response. And sorry if it was a bit too hectic to go through my detailed query (which I did because it was misunderstood when I asked previously). • BT Sport No Longer Available via Aerial...

I'm guessing this is old news but I never saw any announcements.
My parents have received a letter saying BT Sport is no longer available via the aerial and now has to come via Broadband. The letter says future BT Sport viewing needs to be either by an ethernet connection or via the powerline adaptors. My folks currently have their Vision box connected by the latter means - but BT Sport doesn't work. The message on the TV says a direct connection via Ethernet is needed (unlike the letter, the on-screen message doesn't mention power adaptors).
Reading a few posts here I get the impression that there's another factor - BT Infinity. If they aren't on Infinity will this mean they can't get BT Sport via the TV anyway, even if they were to run a gert long ethernet cable round the house?
Next question - were they on Infinity (I suspect they won't go this far and BT will lose a customer back to Sky) will they be able to use Powerline Adaptors? Their router / phone socket in is nowhere near the TV.
I assume all of this is going to apply to me, too, though I'm yet to receive a letter and, unlike my parents, can still see BT Sport on channel 58.
I also see there's now a charge for Net Protect Plus. It's starting to feel like a screw is turning...
    Cheers
    Derek

My folks contacted BT and were told they needed new Powerline Adaptors but also needed to be signed up for BT TV.
So, they signed up, despite being existing Broadband customers and despite having enjoyed BT Sport via the aerial for the last six months or more.
mmm... I'm not sure I would have been quite so quick to rush into signing up to any new contract.
In normal circumstances you do need to have your account registered for the BT TV service in order to receive the BT Sport channels on the BT TV box. New customers have to sign up to either TV Essential (£5) or TV Entertainment (£7.45).
However, some existing customers are on older TV packages. Some are even on an old package that was effectively TV PAYG and had fixed costs of £0 per month. I'm not sure if there were any limitations on who could add the free BT Sport via the TV aerial.
It would be strange to be able to receive the BT Sport channels via the TV aerial and viewing card without being on some sort of TV package and hence the BT TV service being registered for the account. Is it possible that was an old TV PAYG type deal?
I think you really need to identify exactly what the situation was before the new contract was started. It's possible the new contract was unnecessary, but I can't really give an answer to that.
I would also go back and look over the original e-mail. Did it give any small print or links to terms and conditions saying that some customers would have to take out a new BT TV contract at additional cost? The change was being driven by BT and the customer wasn't asking for any change.

  • Podcasts no longer appear under ipod device in I tunes library.  I can access podcasts on my ipod but I CANNOT access podcasts on I tunes library.  I have disconnected and reconnected.  I have restored my ipod.  I have checked for updates. What else?

'Podcasts' under Ipod device disappeared in Itunes library.  I can't manage my podcasts on ipod via I tunes library.  I can access the podcasts on my ipod (5th generation), itself. I can access and manage music.   I can add more podcasts to ipod.  The podcast icon reappears with only the newly added podcasts.   When I disconnect ipod and reconnect ipod, 'podcasts' no longer appears under the device.  So I am unable to manage my podcasts on I tunes library which means I can't delete podcasts from I tunes library.  I can only add podcasts. I have disconnected and reconnected ipod.  I have checked for updates.  I have restored the ipod to it's original settings.  My next step will be to install and reinstall I tunes.  Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

To be clear, the podcast icon disappeared under Ipod device in Itunes.  I can access and manage the podcasts in the itunes library.  I can't manage podcasts on my ipod via itunes (which means I can't delete podcasts from my ipod). I can access podcasts on my ipod, itself.
