I managed to find a solution to my problem described above. I downloaded a demo copy of the shareware called R-Tools which I found on Tucows.com
The site described the software thus: "Take advantage of R-Studio's unique ability to recover files and disks on remote computers, even if their partition structures are damaged or deleted."
The demo software searched my ipod and found all my photos and showed them as thumbnails. Of course the demo software would not save the files unless I registered it which cost US$49.95. There are several different suites of applications from this publisher, I got the cheapest option which is called "R-Studio FAT".
I didn't mind paying this amount because the photos were very precious to me and by this point I had just about resigned myself to losing them all. I had previously contacted a professional data recovery service and they had quoted me "AUD$80 per hour and probably 1 to 2 hours work".
I've been too busy organising my newly recovered photos into galleries and editing them using photoshop to be bothered to try and fix my ipod which I doubt I will want to use again for photo storage.

  • Proportional valve and following error problem

Hello, I have a problem with using a NI-7344 card and controlling a proportional valve and hydraulic cylinder.
Everything is working fine in regards to motion and velocity control.
The problem I have is with the following error and halt command. When the cylinder is moving I mechanical disconnect my linear encoder ( 20 pulses/mm) expecting for the following error flag to immediately stop the motion once the value of the following error has been reached. The total stroke is 1016 mm.
What I observe is that the hydraulic cylinder will continue to move for about 20mm when my following error has been set to 50 counts (which should mean 20pulses x 4 / 50 = 1.6mm). I am moving at a rate of 10mm/s
I have also observed that the faster the velocity the smaller the error I see with respect to the cylinder stopping when the encoder is discounted.  I am moving at 60mm/s when that happens.
The reason I am discounting the encoder is to try to simulate a partial stuck mechanical system.
Another note is that when ever a "Stop" or "Halt" command is issued in MAX or in our own code the cylinder will stop immediately, so it has nothing to do with the "Kill" command that is issued when a following error has occurred.
    Any thoughts on this one?

I think we need to keep in mind that this is a valve that when power is shut off from it, it closes immediately and no motion occurs, not like a motor that could run on a little.
We have issued Kill, Stop, and Halt commands with the same result; the cylinder stops dead in its tracks, no inertia, no nothing. It is only when the encoder stops counting ( because we have mechanical disconnected it from the cylinder, not electrically) will it continue moving for 10- 20 mm after the error flag has been raised.
I'm starting to question the PID loop response. When a PID controller sense's that it's feedback is not keeping up with the demand, isn't it normal for it to increase the output to try to correct the problem. Then my following error kicks in and shuts down the axis? Resulting in a greater error than what was set in the following error parameter. Why this error in motion decreases with a increase velocity, I haven't figured out yet.
Anyway, keep the suggestion coming, someone has an answer to this.
    Thanks.

  • Session "" failed to start with the following error: 0xc0000022

Newly installed Windows 2012 R2 server throws the following event roughly every 3 minutes:
Session "" failed to start with the following error: 0xc0000022
The PID referenced in the event points to WmiPrvSE.exe running as NETWORK SERVICE.  Is there something obvious I'm missing because I'm not sure where to go with the information I found so far.  I already did my fair sharing of Binggling and everything
I find doesn't apply or doesn't fix the problem.

    Hi,
Can you let me know the full event log content?
I suggest you restart the Windows Management Instrumentation service.

  • Adobe Flash Player showing following error on Windows 7

    Hello,
I have a CBT CD that works just fine on Windows XP but not on Windows vista.
When I click on index.html file, the HTML file opens up a flash demo. Just as demo is launching following error shows up.
I clicked on Settings just as the error says but not sure what exactly needs to be changed on settings. There are many tabs under Settings window.
How can I resolve this error.  I dont think windows compatiblity is an issue.
    Please advise.
    Thanks,

    R,
You can refer to this article for details: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/093/4c093f20.html
    Try the following:
    1. Open Flash Settings Manager by clicking Settings.
    2. Go to the Advanced tab.
    3. Click Trusted Location Settings.
    4. Click Add, and then click Add File to select the SWF file that's trying to access Internet.

  • Getting the following error while creating a new configuration

    Hi team,
I am trying to create configuration of my web dynpro application. When
I right click on my application and choose create/change configuration,
browser started. Now when I give a name ( e.g zabc) to it and choose the
function create, the following error occurs... Can you please give me
    suggestion to overcome it
    Error when processing your request
    What has happened?
The URL https://gsdcb261.in.ibm.com:8443/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/zims_issue/ was not called due to an error.
    Note
The following error text was processed in the system SD4 : Screen output without connection to user.
The error occurred on the application server gsdcb261_SD4_01 and in the work process 0 .
    The termination type was: RABAX_STATE
    The ABAP call stack was:
    SYSTEM-EXIT of program SAPLSKEY
    Function: TADIR_OBJECT_CHECK of program SAPLSKEY
    Function: CHECK_ACCESS_KEYS of program SAPLSKEY
    Method: CHECK_TROBJ_BEFORE_EDIT of program CL_WD_CONFIGURATION_MODEL=====CP
    Method: FILL_APPL_CONFIG_CONTEXT of program CL_WD_CONFIGURATION_MODEL=====CP
    Method: UPDATE_APPLICATION_TREE of program /1BCWDY/0A4VPNTYZEA2W6Q9CMDX==CP
    Method: IF_COMPONENTCONTROLLER~UPDATE_APPLICATION_TREE of program /1BCWDY/0A4VPNTYZEA2W6Q9CMDX==CP

    Method: IF_WDR_VIEW_DELEGATE~WD_INVOKE_EVENT_HANDLER of program /1BCWDY/0A4VPNTYZEA2W6Q9CMDX==CP
    What can I do?
If the termination type was RABAX_STATE, then you can find more information on the cause of the termination in the system SD4 in transaction ST22.
If the termination type was ABORT_MESSAGE_STATE, then you can find more information on the cause of the termination on the application server gsdcb261_SD4_01 in transaction SM21.
If the termination type was ERROR_MESSAGE_STATE, then you can search for more information in the trace file for the work process 0 in transaction ST11 on the application server gsdcb261_SD4_01 . In some situations, you may also need to analyze the trace files of other work processes.
If you do not yet have a user ID, contact your system administrator.

Your SAP Internet Communication Framework Team

    Hello Thomas,
I am sorry but I haven't check this forum in the last weeks because of lack of time. Thanks for your hint regarding a potential solution. Taking a look a the note I have some problem in "using" it.
This note contains a number of potential solutions regarding our problem.
Solution 1.) one could use the modification as described. Surprising to read that SAP is saying: do a modification to solve the problem. => this is only possible "manually"  I am not sure If I will follow this approach
Solution 2.) Change the URL: This solution scenario I do not understand. The solution path is "very" short and not very instructive. This is the story:
You can do this by adding "_OLD" to the name of the application of the URL created for the configuration: Use "CONFIGURE_APPLICATION_OLD" instead of "CONFIGURE_APPLICATION"
and "CONFIGURE_COMPONENT_OLD" instead of "CONFIGURE_COMPONENT". If you want to use this function as your standard, you have to change the original application. To do this, set the parameter "OLD_TR" to "X".
This solution path is "to short". I do not get the "message" what to do.
Furthermore: Does that mean you have to use this peculiar solution any time durnig software development of webdynpro components using configurations? In my opinion yes. This is therefore only a "workaround solution" and nothing else.
And there can I find this parameter "old_tr" they are talking about?
Sap note 1060287 is the "same" kind (Symptom of this note:
If you use the configuration editor, there may be errors during transport handling or
    DYNPRO_SEND_IN_BACKGROUND crashes.).
    Here they are saying:
    "Solution
A final solution will be provided for Release 7.0 BASIS Support Package 13."
So in SP13 there seems to be a solution (I haven't found up to now the corresponding note). But does that now mean I must implement the complete support package?
So I am sorry: No progress on my side up to now. May be you have had some success?
    With best regards
    Christoph

    HI
While opening a report i am getting following error. Here i attached screen shot .Please tell me solution for  that

I am also receiving the same error, but from within Answers. It occurs occasionally, depending on what fields I select. I am trying to narrow it down to a field and field type. I am using OBIEE 10.1.3.4.0 and Oracle 11g.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,

i just tried to install the 11.4 update (or whichever one is the most recent update as of 1/26/2014) and when it failed i tried to install manually and now whenever i try to use it, i get the following error: "The application has failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem." Right after i click ok i then get this error: "Itunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall Itunes. Error 7 (Windows error 126)." I tried to uninstall Itunes and then reinstall the 11.03 version but that didnt work either. I want to know if i copy all of the music in my itunes folder to an external without consolidating can i still transfer all my itunes music from my current windows xp pc to a brand new one and have my current itunes library in my new pc? Basically i just want to know 3 things: What exactly does consolidating the itunes library do? Can i copy, paste, and transfer my itunes library to an external and from there to a new pc? Will i be able to transfer my itunes library without consolidating the files?

I have found a temporary solution, allowing the previous version of iTunes (v. 11.1.3 (x64) in my case) to be re-installed.  It will allow you to re-establish use of iTunes until the Apple software engineers fix the most recent disasterous upgrade (v. 11.1.4).  Please see and follow the procedure in the following article:http://smallbusiness.chron.com/reverting-previous-version-itunes-32590.html   The previous version works beautifully.

I don't have anything else plugged into my MBP, so I am confused as to what's going on.  This problem has never happened before.  MBP is less than a year old - about 9 months old.  HELP

I am using a 2003 eMac and am running on Mac OSX  vs 10.4.11. I amrunning iTunes 8.2.1 (6) and not able to upgrade iTunes on this computer. iTunes is not recognizing music I have purchased and when I try to connect when it request me to I get the following error message:
Cannot complete  iTunes Store request. A required iTunes component is not installed (-42404)
    Please help.

Is this music purchased back in DRM days? I don't actually have any iTunes music so I can't test with my iTunes 7.5, but I know that without iTunes 10 you cannot even connect to the store anymore.  I wouldn't think that would require an active connection to the store all the time, otherwise how could you play music on a computer in the middle of nowhere?  Did you do something to trigger iTunes suddenly wanting to connect and check on machine authorization?
