CX600 Slow Audio retrieving from Hold

After updating firmware on the CX600's to 4.0.7577.4372 we now have an intermittent issue . User gets an incoming call, places call on hold and when retrieving the call the audio is very slow. I have tested on CX700's and 600's with older firmware
and the issue does not appear. I also moved up to 4.0.7577.4387 and the issue is still present. Checking the Lync reports and using Lync Snooper everything looks fine. The current work around is to place the call back on hold and then click resume again.
Has anyone else seen this issue and any luck getting it resolved?

Hi. We too are having the same issue. We are using a AudioCodes MK800 (ver 6.4) with Lync 2013 and CX600s (4387) on a relatively simple instillation.
We intermittently get the issue only on resuming a call that was originally handled by the Response Group service, and seems to happen the day after a front end/mediation server reboot. May be the issue is there with other calls.
I have tried disabling media bypass and changing from TLS to TCP with no effect. We do use music on hold from the polycoms and I suspect that is where the problem is. We get no errors in any of the logs too. Its been a real pain this one, but has forced
me to establish a QOS configuration that has helped in other respects.
Has anyone tried MOH delivered from the audiocodes with ver 6.6 frmware ?

You can probably prove that this is the issue by creating a retrieve using the excel addin or smart view to replicate the form and see how long it takes to retrieve.
You will also see in the essbase app logs how long it is taking to perform the retrieve.

=> What version of Convergence?
=> What version of Messaging Server?
=> What browser are you using?
=> When did this problem first start?
=> Does it impact all users?
=> Do you see an issue if you are access Convergence via a LAN connection?
=> How big is the email you are trying to open?
=> Is the delay in opening an email, scrolling through a list of emails, initial loading of the email folders etc?
=> Does the end-user experience slow email access when using an IMAP client?

This is a bad situation. I faced the same issue sometime back and the only option I could find was to reload asset values into those areas. I had to reload values into 20,000 assets in the tax depreciation areas. I had to open up the company code for legacy transfer eventhough it is not recommended to use in a production system. I used AS91 for previous year assets. Current year assets I developed transaction types to limit posting to just the depreciation areas affected and redid all the current year asset transaction. I have developed several LSMW programs to complete this process.

How do I add Core Audio files from my HD to the search tab?

I'm trying to add a few core audio files from my hard drive the sound effects library in Sound track. I assumed if I just coppied and pasted the CAF files in the ambience folder that is in the ilife sound effects folder in my library that the files would automaticaly show up in the search tab in soundtrack. this is not the case.
Can anybody help me?

iTunes/iPod does not provide a way of copying tracks from an iPod to iTunes except for purchased music. But iTunes can play MP3 files without conversion.
Here are some ways of getting files from an iPod to your PC:
Copy from iPod to PC
It is important not to allow your iPod to sync with an empty library. If it is set to synchronise automatically you will get a message saying your iPod is linked to a different library and asking if you want to sync – it is important to press cancel as syncing with an empty library erases all music from your iPod.
You can also prevent auto sync by holding down shift & ctrl as you plug in your iPod and keeping the keys held down until the iPod appears in iTunes.
Once you are connected, you need to set your iPod to manage music manually.

Simultaneous audio output from Ipad and bluetooth ?

Is it possible to have simultaneous audio output from IPAD and a bluetooth speaker? At present I can only get audio from the Bluetooth Speaker and nothing from the IPAD's audio out! My purpose is that my Mom will hold the IPAD to listen to her Audiobooks but my Dad who sits across the room and is hard of hearing needs a speaker close to him, so I need simultaneous audio from both devices.

Audio Synch from Color back to FCP

I am sending a short sequence with 8 clips or so to color, adding a color fx to half of the clips, rendering all of the clips, inc. the ones without an effect added, and sending back to fcp. When I open the new color sequence, the audio is out of synch by a few seconds. Any ideas why?

Not really, but it has been a continuing problem. You're sure it is the audio that is out of sync, and not the video? (Just checking) There are a lot of complaints, especially with HDV about frame drift.
Best solution is to lift the audio from the previous timeline and paste it into the graded (from COLOR) sequence. Even when a mixed stereo final is part of the workflow, it almost never comes back the same, so most, if not all, users avoid sending and retrieving audio as part of the COLOR roundtrip. In my experience, even if it somehow mysteriously lands back in sync, the pan settings are all slammed over to one side.
So we all just pull the original audio forward from the previous sequence and Apple can go onward in its delusional mindstate.

Data Retrieval from SSRS 2008 R2 to SQL Server 2012 standard

We have a virtual machine running SSRS 2008 R2 and a physical server running SQL server 2012 standard. We are having an issue with a report that is taking almost 10 minutes for the data to be retrieved from the sql 2012 database. We used the
execution logging query to debug and analyze. We see that it renders and processes very fast, but the data retrieval time is very slow. When the same query is run using sql studio mgr. from the SSRS server it runs just fine...it
takes seconds for the results to come up.
I don't believe there is a compatibilty issue because other reports run fine. We're just having problems with one report.

A long shot, but I've seen where the data type of a report parameter is mismatched against the data type of the table it is being compared against. SQL profiler would show this clearly.
This would explain why the query returns quickly in ssms but not with the report.

Logical reporting cube - slow data retrieval

I have seen discussion on this board recommending using a logical reporting cube to expose data if there are multiple physical cubes in the workspace. The problem I am having is that the data retrieval seems very slow from the logical cube while it is fine if I select from the actual physical cubes. Here is my set up.
Physical cube A - Dimensions x,y,z
Physical Cube B - Dimension w,x
Physical Cube C, Dimension y,z
Logical Cube D. Dimension w,x,y,z with calculated measures mapped to the measures from the cubes A,B and C as well as some other calculated measures based on these.
Data retrieval from A, B and C is quick but the query hangs if I select certain measures from D. On some measures, it seems to work without issues.
Is there some thing I am missing?

Its probably because of LOOP_VAR and/or LOOP_DENSE settings of the measures in your Logical reporting cube.
I have posted on this topic in the past.   With this new Oracle-Forum interface its difficult to search old postings.
(1). Execute the following:
exec dbms_cube_log.enable(dbms_cube_log.TYPE_OPERATIONS, dbms_cube_log.TARGET_TABLE, dbms_cube_log.LEVEL_HIGH);
(2). Run the olap query.
(3). Query CUBE_OPERATIONS_LOG table
select *
from cube_operations_log
where   upper(suboperation) like '%LOOP%' or upper(name) like '%LOOP%'
order by time;
Tell us what you see in the 'NAME and 'VALUE' columns, after your query execution.

Can someone tell me how to move MPEG audio files from my iPod to my library on my computer? Somehow all my songs on my iPod are MPEGs and they won't transfer to the library. I really don't want to loose the music, and there doesn't appear to be an option to convert the MPEG to a ACC file while the MPEG is on the iPod. Please help....

Can't transfer audio mp3 from Itunes to my Ipod

I have been downloading audio books from my local library for years using over drive. I have downloaded them using WMA, but for some reason the audio books I request are coming in MP3 (I haven't a clue why). I download the audio to over drive, then transfer the file to my IPod nano (4th or 5th generation). It looks like everything is transferring as usual, But after ejecting my ipod from the computer and look for my book, there is nothing there.
I thought my Ipod devise accepted MP3 format? I'm a novice and don't if the issue is with my Ipod nano, ITunes, or overdrive?
Can someone help me clear up my problem?

I had the same thing happen to me.
All I had to do was reset the iPhone. If you don't know, just hold the home button down at the bottom of your screen and the power button at the same time. After 10 seconds, it may ask if you want to power down - keep holding - it will reset. Don't power down.

Jim's idea was also good..It worked for me and also safe if I need to use the original audio. Following method also found good...but previous audio clip cannot be extracted after deleting it. ... 1. Hold down "ALT" key first then select the first audio clip in the chain of video clips to Delete. 2. Hold down " Shift + Alt " keys together and click right mouse button on all audio clips to be deleted one by one. Make sure only audio clips are selected. 3. Then release ALT+Shift keys and then click right mouse button and select "Clear" from pull down menu to Delete all selected audio clips on the time line. This method works very well for me. Audio track from EXTERNAL midi

Logic 9 doesn't seem to allow me to create an audio track from an External midi instrument. If I'm wrong, how do I accomplish the task?

It seems that Logic 9 treats External midi and Internal midi differently. I brought this up at a One-to-One session and
1) we had to change Preferences/Audio/to "Slow (CPU saving) in order to Solo the external midi track, and
2) the track would not transfer to the Audio track that I set up, even at this slower CPU setting.
I've read other complaints about this on the Net - but with no answer yet.

My iMac has suddenly become very slow to wake from "sleep." How do I fix this and what is causing the problem? Even the mouse wakes very slowly.

Try these basic troubleshooting steps.
1. Quit all app scompletely and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
2. Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
3. Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
