How old is your Mac? 1-2-3 years old?
Batteries go bad even if the charge cycle count is low. They only last so long whether they are used or not. The last longer being used on a regular basis but not abused. Using them all the time and or leaving it connected to AC all the time will shorten it life span.
Use it but don't abuse it.

New MacBook Pro but Battery Health 97%?

I recently bought a MacBook Pro 13inch just last thursday and I came to notice in the iStat Pro Battery Info the Battery Health is 97%. Is this normal? Number of Cyles are 7.

Be aware that "health" cn be "current charge" or "max possible charge".
As Steve Ar said, both can vary a bit.

My MBP has been powered constantly for the last few day, but has dropped to 95%. It does this to prevent the "constant use" of the recharge circuits, and will recharge itself to 100% when it drops below 95%. Also the max charge is more than design, but will not stay at that max charge ... it will change a litlle even rising fromover 7000 mAh occasionally.
To keep your battery healthy, do NOT run it dead. That kills LithiumIon batteries. You need to exercise those LithiumIons sometimes or they get fat and lazy. Use the system on battery only at least once a month, down to 50% or 60% and then recharge.
Also note that the life-limit of LI batteries is about 1000 cycles (each full charge is 1 cycle, 2 charges from 50% to 100% is 1 cycle, etc). It can exceed that, but the closer yo get to 1000 to more likely it is to need replacing.

Only 52 cycles and battery health dipping to 73% at times?

My macbook pro is less then a year old and I lately have been having strange battery health readings. The battery usually lasts a few hours depending on what I am doing with it unplugged. However the health twice now has dipped to 73% and then jumped back up to 89% or 91% and stayed there. Today I checked my battery condition and it said "check battery" but then went back to "good" later that day. I condition the battery regularly.

It's normal for health to fluctuate a bit (mine ranges from 86-96%, and has done that for the past 100 cycles or so). But, your fluctuations are a bit wider than I'd consider normal. Keep an eye on it, and if it dips and stays below 80%, contact Apple before your 1 year warranty expires.
When was the last time you calibrated your battery? That should be done every 2 months or so.

New Macbook Pro Retina 15inch is showing up as 1.9months old with 2 cycles on 'Battery Health'!?

I've just recieved my New Macbook Pro Retina 15inch and installed 'Battery Health', but for some reason it is is showing my Macbook as 1.9months old with 2 cycles!? This Macbook isn't even a day old.. Is this normal!?

That is not unusual. Note that the actual maximum charge is well above the designed level which is the most important criteria.

Bought my MBP one week ago, but the health of battery has declined to 94%.

G' Day Friends, I bought my MBP one week ago, but ISTAT shows that the health of battery now has declined to 94%. It's really ridiculous because it declined from 99% to 94% in the last three times I charged my battery. Is there a problem with my battery? or just the ISTAT is not exact?.... how can I deal with such a situation?......

Hi Loophy: During the first few charge/recharge cycles the "battery health" can fluctuate quite a bit. If it continues to deteriorate it may be an issue, but at this early stage, it isn't an issue. Please see the excellent collection of battery tips below.

New MacBook Pro 2012 with battery health at 92%

Hi everyone!
Few weeks ago I bought brand new MacBook Pro (2012, 13"). After 12 cycles the battery health significantly decreased to 92%. Quite unexpected, isn't? Could you advise me what can be a problem? AC adapter, socket in my wall or something else?
To answer your questions, I did not put the battery below 10% during this time.

Battery Health Degredation

I've had this MacBook for about two weeks. In only three cycles the battery health is down to 95%. Is this normal or is this a bit soon for it to have lost 5%?

No, it isn't normal. I had bought a new battery and in two weeks I was shocked to see it went down to 77%! I went to an Apple store to have it checked out, and they replaced my battery free of charge. Sometimes new batteries go faulty, so I would advise you to do the same. You paid enough for the computer already; you don't need to pay $100+ dollars for a new battery.

My recent experience: I purchased my MBP in December 2007. Recently, I've noticed that my battery was only lasting about 90 minutes during the Keynote presentations I use to teach three classes. I had only 91 cycles and iStat was showing just below 50% battery health. The system profiler said "check battery". I took it in to the local Apple store and was told by the genius that what I was experiencing was normal battery wear. It seemed odd to me that the MBP battery would be going south at just 16 months of use, but the genius didn't think that was unusual. Fortunately, I did get a new battery free of charge, but that was ONLY because I had Apple Care. He told me that Apple Care covered the battery for two years.

Battery health 96% with only 18 cycles

A month ago I bought a brand new unit of the last version of the old 17" model. iStat Pro recognized the battery as new with 100% health. 30 days later it shows 18 cycles and 96% health. To what extent this information is trustworthy? Can I ask for a replacement if that fast aging process continues?

Don't worry about it too much. My battery's capacity level swings several percentage points even if I check it at different times during the same day. You will probably find that the deterioration rate will not continue linearly, but will stop and even reverse at times.
Battery readings fluctuate normally because a battery is made up of many cells that all behave slightly differently and deteriorate at different rates. It's hard to accurately track/predict the performance of all of the cells as a group; the number is always more like an estimate.
Apple has a standard that its batteries should retain 80% capacity after 300 cycles. Apple might not replace the battery until you can show that the battery is going to fall short of it at that time, and it takes about a year to get to 300 cycles.

MBA early 2010, 200 cycles and 87% of battery health

I've been using my macbook since April, so it's rather fresh. Battery life has become a bit worse that is pretty visible on the iStat. How can I improve my battery health without replacing it?
I've seen some manual to make some special charging cycles, but cannot find it...

In a strict sense, that's a little (but not much) below what might be expected with that length of service and number of cycles on the battery, but much depends on other factors, not least being whether the MBA has been left, or used, for prolonged periods on mains power, or left discharged for a lengthy time, or even used in a pattern of full discharge/full recharge. These are the kind of factor which can deplete capacity and result in lower than optimum battery performance.
Avoid regular full discharge/recharge, don't leave the unit plugged in for long periods, and routinely use the MBA away from mains, even if only for short periods before recharging to keep the battery well exercised, and that will help preserve remaining battery performance.

Battery Health after 13 cycles?

I recently downloaded istate pro to check my battery and to my suprise my battery health is currently at 96% after 13 cycles. Yesterday I calibrated the battery and it was at 98% health. Could be battery by obsolete? And I just got my mbp 1 week ago.

Your battery is fine. Over time the battery health continues to decline until the battery needs to be replaced.

Brand new macbook pro 2012 (no retina display) 95% battery health with 5 cycles? is that okay?

I know, another battery related question. I have recently bought a brand new macbook pro (no retina display), I calibrated the battery at least twice since Ive had it and it states that I am at 95% battery health with only 5 charges. Is that normal or should I bring my macbook in to be checked? Id like to get this settled before school starts in September since I depend on my macbook a great deal.

Full cycle? 100%, of course.
How you get there is another matter. It can be a battery killing full discharge that will certainly ensure a brief life. Or a leisure set of discharges down to 20%, 30% or more. When they all sum up 100%, winner! You've got a cycle!!
Apple recommends you enjoy your Mac and don't obsess too much on battery stuff. Just exercise the electrons every so often by bringing it down to, say, 20% and charge it back up. Going all the way down to the bitter end, when the Mac forces itself to sleep is sort of ok too and won't do (too much) damage, provided you don't make it an engrained habit. We all forget the power brick occasionally and get caught out in the wild with whatever charge was left inside.

It doesn't matter what I do because it always remains around this range of health. What should I do? Should I purchase a new battery?

why not just use your macbook as it is until the service battery messages shows up.
i have 2010 Macbook Pro with 913 cycle count - 84% Battery Health and I still get almost 5 hours of normal use.

Battery health decreased rapidly after charging problems.

Hy a few weeks ago the health of my mid 2010 MacBook Pro was still 79% which is normal since it has more than 1000 cycles.
Then following incident happened:
My battery was almost discharged, 30% or so, so I connected it to the AC power. After a while I wanted to see how much it was charged but the indicator in the corner still indicated the same 30% or so, only when I disconnected it it changed to something in the 80% range. I used my computer for a while like that and I noticed that the battery indicator was not chaning. Only when I connected or disconnected the AC power did it update.
I decided to reboot the machine and this solved the problem. I recently noticed however that my battery health now dropped to 63% which seems very much in a short period of time.
I know that normally charger will deliver less current to the battery when it is near 80% in order to prevent overcharging and maintain battery life as much as possible. I wonder however if the drastic decrease could be because of the power management thinking that the battery was only partly charged and thus delivering to much current to an almost full battery? If this is the case do you think that Apple would intervene for the costs of a new battery? I know I would have had to replace it sooner rather than later but this does change a lot I think. My computer is not in warranty anymore and I don't want to pay 49€ for one intervention. There are also no official Apple stores in Belgium and the authorised resellers really don't offer the same service.

since your battery has over 1000 cycles and has 79% of its original full charge capacity remaining, Apple considers your battery “consumed”; they will not intervene for the cost of a new battery. It’s entirely your decision when to replace your battery, but irregular charging results are to be expected for as long as you use your present battery.
If no Apple-authorized service center in Belgium offers the option of changing the battery, then you should let Apple know so that they can find an organization who will do so. I don’t know where you are in Belgium, but this search around Brussels shows seven different Apple-authorized service centers which all claim to service Macs, and the one in Aalst is noted as being a Premium service center.
