Cycle Counting. After the basics.

Hi everyone.
I'm very interested on knowing a little bit more about Cycle Counting.
I had created the ABC Compile, ABC Classes and I had assigned the items. My question is about how Oracle advice or notify on a certain date to perform a Count? Is it an outside control?
Afterwards, where do I should register the counts and its adjustments?
Thank you in advance.
Eduardo.

Hi Eduardo
I think you need to refer this question to the E-Business Suite forum.
Best wishes

  • My question has to do with analog input and triggering? Does anyone have any suggestions on how i can improve the attached vi so it can trigger on a 50kHz ten cycles pulse after the pulse has been sent out on the output?

    Could you just look at this vi and tell me if i am doing anything wrong? I get errors that are different each time I change something. here are the inputs I am using
    Output Side:
    amplitude = 1
    freuency = 50kHz
    Sampling Frequency = 1MHz
    3 of Samples = 200
    Input Side:
    Input Buffer 4000
    trigger type = analog
    pretrigger = 5
    edge or slope = rising
    scan rate = 500kHz
    # of scans = 2000
    Conditional Retrieval
    mode = on
    slope = rising
    skip count = 0
    level = .1
    offset = 0
    hysteresis = 0
    So what we want to do is capture the ten
    cycles of the 50k output pulse on the input and need to store that so we can plot it later, do you have any suggestions. we are using the PCI-MIO- 16E board.
    Thanks,

    1) Toss the sequence frames (no flames please).
    2) Set you read and have it ready to trigger before oing the output.
    3) After the output, go back and read the data that is waiting for you.
    4) If you have errors tell us what they are and under what conditions they occured.
    End of Ben's suggestions for now.

  • How does Mac OS calculate the charging Cycle count?

    Hello, Guys
    How does Mac OS calculate the charging Cycle count? I just used my MBP for about 15 min without power plugged in and I saw it left about 90% battery. However after the battery be recharged, I checked system profiler. It shows charging cycle count increased 1. I do remember that last time I left almost the same percentage of battery and plugged in. After the battery was fully charged, profiler did show cycle count increased.
    So I am wondering How does Mac OS calculate the charging Cycle count? Basing on the percentage left or something else?
    Thanks,

    Ok,
    But does it count continuously or separatly? I mean One time I used 10% and recharged full; and next time I used 20% and fully recharged again. Does the OS increase the cycle count when the usage adds up to 100% no matter how many times of recharge?
    Thanks,

  • What's the average cycle count and lifespan of a PB G4 battery?

    I've had my computer 15" Powerbook for about 22 months. Cycle count =367. My AppleCare warranty ends in about 14 more months. What's the average cycle count before the battery dies?
    By the way, I use my computer everyday. This thing better than any other macbook pro out there. Thanks.

    First, you should know that Applecare doesn't cover the battery, it is specifically excluded unless it's defective. That's because Apple considers the battery a consumable item. You can read it under limitations at http://images.apple.com/legal/applecare/docs/AppleCareProtect_Plan_NAen.pdf
    Regarding the life, how you maintain the battery has an impact on how many cycles you get out of it. For example, if it's plugged in all the time, your cycle count will be low by the time the battery fails. Apple says that a properly maintained battery should be at 80% capacity after 300 cycles. This is the Apple note on battery maintenance: http://www.apple.com/batteries/notebooks.html

  • Cycle count(MICN) problem at year end

    Hi folks,
    For cycle counting, if the counting date exceeds the current year, it proposes the last date of current year as the first counting date.But i do not want sap, to propose the last date of current year for counting. it should give me the correct figure as per indicator ( A- 152 days, B- 360 days ).
    if i do GR today & My indicator is A, then counting date should be after 152 days ( in 2010) . if it falls on next year, then it's ok.
    but system is proposing last date( 31/12/2009) of current year if the date falls on next year(2010).
    Plz suggect , how to solve this.
    Thanks
    pabi

    Any item has to be counted once a year. the fiscal year is controlling the inventory period.
    if you have a new material that you receive the first time at the end of the year, then you have to count it in this year the first time, and the next time after your defined number of days.
    Thats system design, you cant change it.

  • Cycle count dates upload from Legacy.

    Hi,
       In my client there is a requirement to upload the last count date from legacy to sap at the time of cutover. This they want as after inventory load they dont want to start counting everything which A kind of materials. Client is asking, since i have this date, so keep this date in SAP & then calculate the next date in SAP after go live from that date.
    I searched all the places & found that since the field is internal i really cannot populate this. Is there any standard program or some how create one program to upload this date. If yes then plz let me know. If you had used this methodology, then kindly provide me the details.
    Thanks in advance.

    Create additional CC indicator with 'No of Physical Inv' as zero and use this one to maintain the materials that already undergone cycle counting before go-live. Also, have the CC indicator as fixed for these materiasl in material master -> Plant data. When you run ABC analysis (MIBC), these CC indicators won't be changed and as they 'No of Physical Inv' as zero, they won't be part of your cycle counting. When you need these materials to be part of cycle count, change the CC indicator as fixed and run MIBC, now system proposes the cc indicator based on consumption/usage.
    Or
    You can keep a block for the materials that already undergone cycle counting before go-live in MBEW-SPERW through transaction MM17 or MASS.
    Please award points if useful.

  • What if I exceed in 1000 maximum cycle count in my MBA battery?

    thanks for the concern and help

    To add to Joey's excellent response, a quote from Apple's support website:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1519
    "Batteries have a limited amount of charge cycles before they are considered to be consumed. Once consumed, a replacement battery is recommended. You can use your battery after it reaches its maximum cycle count, but you may notice a reduction in your battery life. Knowing how many charge cycles are on your battery and how many are left can help you determine when a battery replacement is required. For optimal performance, replace your battery when you reach the maximum cycle count."
    The cycle count is just there to determine warranty eligibility; batteries past the maximum cycle count for that model are ineligible for free replacement, regardless of whether they are covered by AppleCare or hardware warranty.

  • Cycle counting proceedure

    Hi gurus,
    Can you guide me how to do a cycle counting for the materials step by step proceedure.
    Also relevant configurations in the master data to be maintained.

    In cycle counting, all materials need not be treated the same way. It allows fast moving materials to be counted more frequently than slow moving materials or high value items to be counted more frequently than low value items. A cycle counting indicator is set in material master which determines for a given plant, how frequently the material has to be counted, as in, once a year, twice a year, thrice a year and so on.

    While creating physical inventory document in Step 1, material can also be blocked for posting. Otherwise transaction MI32 can be used after Step 1 to block the materials.
    Steps 6 to 10 above are optional. If re-count is required then only these steps need to be carried out. Step 11 creates a material document, which leads to updating of SAP book inventory. In other words Step 11 leads to write-on or write-off of inventory based on physical inventory count.
    SAP also provides T Codes to automate the process carried out in Step 1. By these transactions Physical Inventory Documents can be created in background in batch processing mode. MI31 enables creation of Physical inventory documents in bulk based on selection parameters for Periodic Inventory Count. Similarly MICN enables bulk creation of physical inventory documents for Cycle Counting.
    There is an alternate ways of processing inventory count, where inventory data can be entered without reference to any physical inventory document, as mentioned below:

  • How to get the count of the records

    Hi all,
    how can we get the record count after the read statement.Means if we write a read statement based on a condition,then how can we know that how many records get effected for this read statement

    You can use loop statement to read the records and write in some internal table and after the end of the loop, you can use describe command to find the number of records.
    For eg. DESCRIBE TABLE tablename LINES lines.
    Here the "Lines" field will give the total number of records present in the table "tablename"

  • Where is the photo count in the Library Filter of Lightroom?

    Look at this screenshot.
    This is from an online tutorial and is a typical view of the Library Filter. Notice that there are photo counts to the right of each of the search criteria. For example, All (2 Cameras) - 487 photos. Canon EOS 5D - 404 photos, etc.
    Now notice a screen shot from my iMac with Lightroom 5.2 on OX 10.9 Mavericks.
    Notice that there are no photo counts after the search criteria. WHERE DID THEY GO? Or for that matter, were they ever there in this iteration of LR? I think they were but I'm not sure. Incidentally, I am aware the count will appear in the filmstrip (see the next photo) but that is not nearly as useful.
    If anyone can help me get this to work as I suppose it should, please let me know.
    Thanks a bunch,
    Craig

    Thanks Rich.

  • Average Maximum Cycle Count for Early 2008 MacBook (Black)

    I have a black early 2008 MacBook that now in its fourth year, and I have noticed that battery health have started to diminish.
    I am wondering what is the maximum battery cycle count for the early 2008 black MacBooks, and if its time to replace it? (I have 250 cycle count, with 78% health remaining)

    You can get a new third party battery fairly cheap on eBay. Every MacBook from 2006 through Mid 2009 except the Late 2008 Aluminum Unibody and the Late 2009 and 2010 White Unibodies use the same A1185 battery.

  • How to exclude a set of materials from  cycle counting physical inventory

    How to exclude a set of materials from  cycle counting physical inventory
    Details:
    Set of material to be uploaded to SAP on say Jan-2011  from another system with cc indicator D:once
    in a year  and fixed,before uploading into SAP physical inventory will be done .
    So we donot want again those materials to fall in the cycle counting in the same year.
    So is there a method to exclude these materials from CC counting for the year 2011
    or is there some way to upload last inventory count date in SAP system so that it will exclude those
    materials?
    Any answers will be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Bijay

    HI Antony
    Thank you for your reply.
    If material count is less than this method is well valid.
    IN our case there are 7lakhs materials and having diff cc indicator A,B,C,D...
    So it will cumbersome for client to keep track of all those materials when to update cc indicator.
    So any other thought? can we upload last count date while updating materials details  or similar
    Thanks

  • IS- Retail - Cycle count during business hours

    Hi ,
      I am trying to do cycle count thru the POS system, and this is during business hours.  We want to perform cycle count at the stores using the POS system and update SAP.  I checked in SAP Help and its very confusing and its not step by step.  The config path provided in SAP Help also is not updated.  Is there any documents or materials that anyone of you can provide me.  Any information provided is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Amauris.

    Hi,
    SAP has introduced this new functionality called Physical Inventory during Opening hours along with EhP3 along with POS DM. Which means in case you want to carry out physical inventory during business hours, you will require POSDM as well as EHP3 installed as well as relevant Business function set activated to carry this out.
    In case you do not have POSDM in your landscape i dont think you can do it.
    Hope this helps
