Cycle Counts - Manually schedule by From and To Locator

We run Cycle Counts for a range of stock locators. However, when manually scheduling a Cycle Count, the only option is to enter locators one by one. So, if one subinventory has 300 stock locators and we'd like to count only 200 of them, we'd have to enter each locator. We are finding this very impractical. Hoping someone has come across this and thought of something innovative - as we can only think of using Dataload to load the locators.

  • Manually removed DP from package content location

Wanna ask, i did a manual remove on one of my problem DP from the package content location properties by selecting the DP and click on the remove button. Initially i target this package to install to a DP group and this problem DP is also part of the
DP group. Once removed, the DP dissapears from the content location list.
But the problem comes when i want to redistribute again to this DP. I select the package and just distribute to that particular DP only. After a few days, im still unable to see the DP in the content location list. Is this the correct way to remove the package
from the DP that is in a DP group? Anyway to solve this?

    Hi,
You could use Content Library Explorer in ConfigMgr SCCM 2012 R2 Tool to check the status the package on the DP.
Please try to Update Distribution Points(right click package) and monitor the Distmgr.log.

  • Order of delivery schedule line counter at schedule agreements from MRP run

Currently we are using schedule agreements for our long term external suppliers, but we are facing a problem with the order of new delivery schedule lines created during MRP run.
Because of master data settings like, lot size, rounding value, plan delivery time and planning time fence to set as firm new requirements, multiple schedule lines are created with no order for schedule line counter.
Does anyone is aware of a BADI, user exit or customizing control to have this schedule line counter in order?

  • OPM Physical and Cycle Count API

We are developing a custom MCSA form that calls the OPM Physical and Cycle Count API to enter Physical and Cycle Counts. How does the API create new Tag or Count Sheet Numbers and which table stores this values. I see three input parameters for this API but not sure how they work - P_page_no, P_line_no & P_count_no.

  • Cycle count inventory

    Hi everybody,
When doing a cycle count via tx LX26, the following error appears:
"CC inventory not prepared in IM
    Message no. L4173"
I've read some threads regarding this item, and what I have done is the following:
OMNK - activate cycle counting for my warehouse and storage types.
    ommb - for number ranges
IMG > Logistics Execution > Warehouse Management > Activities > Physical Inventory > Dynamic Cycle Counting > General Settings > Define Storage Type Settings
    omco
article master data (when using mibc all articles appear with the cc indicater filled)
I think I have everything correctly configured and there is no stp missing, but the reality is that I am not able to perform the cycle count.
    Any idea?
    Thanks

Have you made material master settings ?
    Marking Materials for Cycle Counting
This step is only required if you perform cycle counting for the first time or if you want to update the cycle counting indicators.
In the material master record (storage data), maintain the cycle counting indicator for all the materials that are to be included in cycle counting.
You can set the indicator in one of the following two ways:
manually in the material master record. To do this, choose Material ® Change from the Material Master menu.
automatically using ABC analysis To do this, choose Special procedures ® Cycle counting ® Set CC indicator from the Physical Inventory menu.

  • Cycle counting process

    Hi all,
Could you please some good link/ notes about cycle counting process.
    Sruthi

Hi, Please go through the following.
Cycle counting is a method of physical inventory whereby inventory is counted at regular intervals within a fiscal year. These intervals depend on the cycle counting indicator set for the material.
Cycle Counting allows you to count fast-moving items more frequently than slow-moving items, for example.
    General Procedure
Mark all materials that are to be included in cycle counting with a cycle counting indicator in the material master record (storage data). The cycle counting indicator is used to group the materials together into various cycle counting categories (for example, A, B, C, and D). In Customizing for Inventory Management, you can define for each category the time intervals at which the materials are to be counted.
You can use the program ABC Cycle Counting Analysis (RMCBIN00) to perform an analysis. In this analysis, the system assigns the materials to the individual categories according to consumption or requirements. You can also specify whether this analysis is to consider only the materials with cycle counting indicator or all materials. The cycle counting indicator in the material master records can be updated automatically by this program.
For the planning of cycle counting, run the program Create physical inventory documents for cycle counting (RM07ICN1). This program checks all cycle counting materials to determine whether a physical inventory is due to be carried out.
You can create physical inventory documents for the following stock types, as well as unrestricted-use stock (stock type 1):
    quality inspection stock
    blocked stock
The system calculates the planned count date for all stock types as folllows:
Date of last physical inventory of unrestricted-use stock + predefined interval
If a material needs to be counted, use the program to create a batch input session for creating physical inventory documents. To create the physical inventory documents, process the batch input session .
When the inventory differences are posted, the actual count date is recorded in the physical inventory data of the material as the date of the last physical inventory.
    Activities
    Marking Materials for Cycle Counting
This step is only required if you perform cycle counting for the first time or if you want to update the cycle counting indicators.
In the material master record (storage data), maintain the cycle counting indicator for all the materials that are to be included in cycle counting.
You can set the indicator in one of the following two ways:
manually in the material master record. To do this, choose Material ® Change from the Material Master menu.
automatically using ABC analysis To do this, choose Special procedures ® Cycle counting ® Set CC indicator from the Physical Inventory menu.
Creating Physical Inventory Documents for Cycle Counting
From the Physical Inventory menu, select Special procedures ® Cycle counting ® Create physical inventory documents.
    Enter the data required.
    Carry out the evaluation.
Choose Edit ® Generate session to create the batch input session.
Select System ® Services ® Batch input ® Edit from the menu to process the session.
Carry out the physical inventory for the physical inventory documents created.

  • MacBook Cycle count

    Hi everyone,
I purchased my MacBook in the Fall of 2007, and have been using it for many purposes including online games. I recently heard about the battery cycle count, and I was told mine was ridiculously high. Here is the information regarding my MacBook's battery:
    Charge Information:
    Charge remaining (mAh): 371
    Fully charged: No
    Charging: Yes
    Full charge capacity (mAh): 5026
    Health Information:
    Cycle count: 1455
    Condition: Normal
    Battery Installed: Yes
    Amperage (mA): 2869
    Voltage (mV): 11556
Should I be concerned? Do I need to buy a new battery soon?
    Thank you!

Welcome to the forums. The cycle count on your battery is very high for a Lithium Polymer battery. Here is some advice for you when you have to replace your battery with a new one.
You do not need to discharge your battery completely every time you use it. Li-Ion Polymer batteries like
little charges instead of big ones. It is OK to leave your battery hooked to the charger most of the time.
The only time I unhook mine from the charger is when I calibrate or use it for a short time. You should calibrate your battery every two months, if you use it unplugged regularly, to keep the battery fully functioning. If you use your MacBook infrequently it ís best to calibrate the battery at least once a month.
A cycle,Determining Battery Cycle Count, is a full discharge and a full charge of the battery.
This can happen by using the battery for 20% for 5 days and charging each time you used the battery. This
would equal a 100% cycle. Charge the battery after each use, don't let it get lower just because you didn't
use up all the power at one time. Its best in little charges. Don't worry if every once in a while you have
to discharge completely when you are not near your power adapter. It happens. A little care and the battery
can last years. Anything over 300 cycles means you should start considering replacing your battery.

  • Cycle count verses full charge capacity.

My battery on my mackbook says to service battery. Now I know the cycle count is high but it seems to me that the full charge capacity is only about 50%. The macbook is about 2 years old but I would have thought I could have gone longer with the battery since the charge capacity is still pretty good. So, which is better to go off of, cycle count or full charge capacity, and from looking at the specs below does it appear as though I will need to buy a new battery? Thanks..
    Firmware Version: 002a
    Hardware Revision: 000a
    Cell Revision: 0100
    Charge Information:
    Charge remaining (mAh): 1818
    Fully charged: No
    Charging: Yes
    Full charge capacity (mAh): 2776
    Health Information:
    Cycle count: 330
    Condition: Check Battery
    Battery Installed: Yes
    Amperage (mA): 779
    Voltage (mV): 12165

Nonsense. The battery will actually last longer if it gets used. If it never or is seldom used, then it will die an earlier death. I see nothing wrong with what you are doing.

  • IS- Retail - Cycle count during business hours

    Hi ,
I am trying to do cycle count thru the POS system, and this is during business hours.  We want to perform cycle count at the stores using the POS system and update SAP.  I checked in SAP Help and its very confusing and its not step by step.  The config path provided in SAP Help also is not updated.  Is there any documents or materials that anyone of you can provide me.  Any information provided is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Amauris.

    Hi,
SAP has introduced this new functionality called Physical Inventory during Opening hours along with EhP3 along with POS DM. Which means in case you want to carry out physical inventory during business hours, you will require POSDM as well as EHP3 installed as well as relevant Business function set activated to carry this out.
In case you do not have POSDM in your landscape i dont think you can do it.
    Hope this helps
    Regards
    Manish

  • ABC CYCLE COUNT

We want to Cycle Count using the ABC method and base it on material cost
    A parts - over 12K (count once a month)
    B Parts - between $500 and 12K (count once a quarter)
C Parts - under 5K count (count once a year)
    We cycle count every day.
Do all the materials need to have there own bin location? We want to count 34 materials a day.
    A’s –   3
    B’s – 10
    C’s – 21
34 Materials a day to cover all of our parts the way we want to count them.
Our bins have several mixed parts in them so if I count A part it may be in 3 different locations. I was told you not only have to count all 3 parts but all parts that are in that same bin even if it is not in the cycle count. This can't be right.
Tell me there has been a fix if this is the case.
    Thanks

For cycle count, system will automatically select and proposed to you the material number to be counted into a physical inventory document based on the config you specified for the ABC indicator. Based on the material number proposed by the the system (plant , storage location,with/without bin location) you then perform the physical inventory count.
Could you reorganised your question so that people understand what exactly u r asking.
    best regards,
    Eric.

  • How to optimize the number of battery cycle count?

    Hello,
I'm using my MBP Retina display (Mid 2013 model) and I just found out my battery cycle count is 143. It's been a year since I bought it. Is that count normal? I don't use my laptop other than using it for browsing, Skype calls and word processing. I leave it charged all day and in the evening I use it up until a 60% charge is left. I can avoid this and leave it unplugged. Should I leave it unplugged and use the battery only when it is absolutely necessary to do so, to keep my battery cycle count low? Please suggest and thanks.

    Hello,
i may be wrong but I think the number of the battery's cycle is implemented by 1 each time you recharge to 100%. Even if you were for example at 70%, when you plug the charger to reach 100% it is counted as a cycle.

  • Manually schedulled cycle count items are not coming in cycle count listing

We had scheduled some items for manual cycle counting for particular date. But those are not getting generated in cycle count listing report or not avialble for counting.
Checkpoints done: 1. Items are cycle count enabled
    2. Those items are avialable in that Cycle count  Name
    3. Onhand is avialbe for those items in particular subinventory
    4. Cycle count scope is specific to Subinventory and that sub inv is included in the list
Can anyone give some thoughts why those manually schedulelled items are still not getting in cycle count listing report?

  • Single cycle count scheduling

Please help me understand system behavior for a single cycle count plan.
Say I have it set up with an annual estimate of 52,000 and PM to be done weekly, ie a count of every 1000. Shift factors set to 100% and call horizon 0%. I initialize my counter at 100,000. When I schedule my first order, it is set a week out for 6/5 for projected counter reading 101,000. So far so good.
Now technician decides to do the PM work a week early. He confirms the work order today (5/29), and a counter reading of 100,500 is entered. The system responds by scheduling a new order for 6/2 and keeps next projected counter reading at 101,000.
    Questions:
    1) Why is the next counter reading kept at 101,000 instead of 101,500? Say a bicycle chain needs to be greased every 1000 revolutions of the chain. If I grease the chain after only 500 revolutions, why would the system not schedule the next greasing 1000 revolutions out? (And is there a setting to enable this?!)
    2) Why did system pull in the next work order a few days early to 6/2? If I have consumed my 52,000 annual estimate at an accelerated rate, shouldn't all subsequent orders be stretched out (still 52 weeks, divided by 51,500)? (
    Thanks,
    Vlad

687 comes by summing up current reading (123) with Cycle frequency (564).
From Current reading 123 to reach 687, it will take 7 days (564 / 80), System considers the date of 16/06/2014 to calculate 23/06/2014.
Whenever you change the Maintenance Plan scheduling parameters or Cycle frequency, Maintenance plan should be restarted to generate the new schedule lines.
And, by changing some data in existing plan & based on system response, we can't predict the system calculation. We can give you the suggestions on how all the parameters should be maintained in Maintenance plan & Measuring Point (in case of Performance based plan) to generate the order in specific way.
As we can't make replica exactly what you made, it will be never possible to give proper advice on system behavior.
If you want to see the calculation behind date calculation, select the particular row in IP10 & click "Calculator" button. There you can see the calculation.
Measurement document should be created while doing TECO of PM order. In TECO pop up, you can find the button as "Create Measurement document".
Refer this blog which has been created by considering your scenario.
