Czech update for Adobe Acrobat 8 professional

Good day. I have a problem. I reinstalled AA8 package of CS3, but remained in version 8.0. I changed the date and other programs are updated. Update it for AA8 were provided by winsoft.eu, but you do not respond to emails. Please give the files to get at least version 8.12 as I had before reinstalling? Thus, I even did not install adobe printer.
Other programs work on 64bit win 8.1 goes perfectly.
Thank you

I just noticed that you had mentioned Win8.1, 64-bit (OK, I don't always read things carefully enough). I suspect you may be out of luck. If you were successful with the install and the operation that is useful information. If it is just the updates that are the issue the manual route may work. You indicate there is no Adobe PDF printer. That may require a workaround by installing a PS print driver for a different printer (typically one of the HP printers) and renaming it Adobe PDF. You may not have an Adobe PDF printer port. In that case you will have to print to file (change the port to FILE in that case) and then open the file in Distiller to create a PDF. If you have no print driver, I also suspect that you do not have the port and also that AcroTray is not running or operational at least. AcroTray is what automates the conversion to a PDF from the Adobe PDF printer. The standard printer driver is actually a special PS driver dedicated to creating PDFs. Hopefully I am making some sense.

  • Need volume license download for Adobe Acrobat 9 Professional. Not available in downloads portal.

We have a volume license for Acrobat 9 professional, and I can see the key in my portal. We, however, do not have a disk for this license, nor is a download available in the downloads portal.
Since we have purchased this software, it would be nice to install it on our computer, especially since we have been recently upgrading hardware.
    Thank you.

What did you do with the original media at the time of the volume license purchase? If it was a download, then where did you save it (and best backup the software)? There is a download for the regular AA9 distribution that can probably be found by searching this forum. It is a bit tricky to download, but can be done last I checked. No problems, then again I've done a manual install.
First question would be can you install the update manually on the target machine.
Also check the version of reader/acrobat installed on the target machine.

  • Language Pack for Adobe Acrobat Professional 8.0.0

    Hello everyone
I installed Adobe Acrobat on a Terminal Server. During the installation i choosed the language "German". Now every user has Adobe Acrobat in German.
Now i would check is there a language pack for adobe acrobat 8.0.0 in english so the user can set their own language to use adobe acrobat.
Is that possible or is there another good possibilty?
Thanks a lot for your help

Did you install Acrobat from Acrobat Pro EFG installer? If yes, then you can change Acrobat language by following the steps below:
    1. Launch Acrobat.
    2. Open the Preferences panel from Edit->Preferences.
    3. Go to International tab.
    4. Change "Application Language" to "Choose at application startup"; click OK.
    5. Close and re-launch Acrobat.
Now you will get an option to select the language when Acrobat launches. Choose English.
    Hope this helps!

  • Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional w/ Windows 8.1

Previously I had Windows Vista Home Basic and everything ran smoothly with Acrobat.  One thing that I loved was if I ran out of ink or could not print for some other reason, I had Adobe in the list of printers.  Well Adobe is not showing up in the list of printers nor can I get it to show up there by trying several different things.  My Adobe product is Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional and my Windows system is now Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit (though I’m starting to regret this).    I’m seeing that 64 Bit is the problem but really? Is there no fix for this other than spending hundreds of dollars yet again?  I’m beginning to think the computer and software is only for the very-very rich!  Who can afford this stuff with its updates every year!  They really know how to make a buck but what about the people who cannot afford to keep paying for these things?  I know I could switch back but I did a clean install and in order to switch back, I’d have to find the Vista cd again (which I tried) or end up buying that again!  Ugghh  All I want is for the Adobe Acrobat to be available as a printer, the program itself works, just not what I guess Adobe is labeling as the “extras.”  I have tried the below…but none of anything I have tried for the last three days has worked – not even talking to Adobe because they gave me the links to this forum and the online support – because their chat is for the rich who can purchase XI at 400-900 dollars!  Please if anyone knows a solution to this that might help me?

Did the “Customization Wizard” but the other file (Transformer Tool) would not load install – received message “Acrobat Transforms Update did not find any valid installed Acrobat products or you do not have sufficient privileges to update registry.”  Grrrrr
Installed PDFFilter64Setup.msi  --- seemed to accept it but I’m not sure it changed a thing!

Keep in mind that AA8 is just about prior 64-bit and has not been updated to maintain currency with the newer OS and platforms. As a minimum, you need to do the updates to AA8. The updates are important for 64-bit systems. You may or may not get it to work. If it looks like it, please report what parts work and what parts fail. The links try to address the issues, but we need to know what works after you do the updates. Does Acrobat open (your note suggests it does) and appear to work? Does Distiller open and is it able to convert a PS file to a PDF (it can only operate on EPS and PS files)? Is there an Adobe PDF printer present? Can you print to the printer with print-to-file selected? Is AcroTray running in the background.
With a new system, new software is commonly required. In fact, Win 8.1 may have problems with old hardware like VISTA came on. I still run a Dell system with XP on it. Most things run fine (though I have to get rid of malware and such periodically). So you don't really have to update with every change, but you may be on your own with some things -- or depend on forums like this to try to help.

  • Adobe Acrobat 8 professional Mac will not upgrade from 8.1.5 to 11.0.9

    Hi:
I have Adobe Acrobat 8 professional for Mac version 8.1.5 trying to upgrade to 11.0.9 but when I download the update it fails to grab the application. Although its visible, to advise to install the update it will not allow me to click on update. I am using a MacMini running on
    Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5.
    Any assistance would be appreciated.

From AA 8, you have to purchase the full AA XI. There is no upgrade for products before AA 9. You should not have been able to purchase XI from Adobe as an upgrade with only 8 as the prior product.

  • Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional - will not uninstall

I tried to install this program with Windows 7, 64-bit numerous times and it would not work 100%.  I even downloaded the "patch" file for windows 7, but the program would freeze every single time I opened it.  I have since reverted back to just using Adobe reader, but CANNOT uninstall Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional.  The uninstall completely freezes about 60-65% of the way through, and I just end up closing it down.  However, I cannot install any new software on my computer because the installer application keeps saying that another program is being installed (Adobe) when in actuallity it is NOT!
Pleeease provide any help as to how I can uninstall this program.  The program is still listed when I got to the control panel and uninstall a program.  I have tried Modify, Repair, & Remove all unsuccessfully.  I have deleted all files from the C: drive except the "Resource" folder, which I keep getting Folder Access Denied and that I "require permission from SYSTEM to make changes to this folder."  Well, I am the administrator and the ONLY user on my computer, so I don't know what that is all about.  I am beyond frustration with this, the microsoft forum told me to check here for assistance.

    Hi meanwire,
    I had a similar problem .
Here is the solution that worled for me. try it out:
    1. Install Acrobat 8.0  (which i think you have already done)
    2. Now go to the following link and download Acrobat 8.1 update
    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=3662
    3. Apply the downloaded 8.1 update manually
    4. Once the manual update is successful launch Acrobat and do Acrobat menu Help ->Check for updates
    Hope it works for you!!

  • Adobe acrobat 8 professional crashes in mountain lion

I just bought a new IMAC with mountain lion. I realize some of the older programs no longer work with it but I reinstalled adobe acrobat 8 professional and it does not seem compatable. I tried downloading an update and a patch but it constantly freezes, trying to use the text edit doesn't work and crashes the program or locks it up. I need to be able to edit PDFS and the program no longer works. Any suggestions?

You could try using spotlight to search for PDF files... short of that, you may have to ask Adobe.

  • Error Deploying Adobe Acrobat X Professional over Standard

A while back I deployed a customized installation of Adobe Acrobat X Standard. I used the Adobe Customization Wizard X to generate a MST file that omits things like speed launch and arm and disables some features in the help menu (like updates, repair, etc.) and deployed the MSI via Group Policy. Everything worked fine, Acrobat X Standard is now on every workstation. Later, we discovered that some users needed the 10.1.1 patch, so we patched some systems as necessary.
Due to decisions out of my control, management has now decided that they want to replace Acrobat X Standard with Acrobat X Professional on all workstations. Great! So I generate another MST with my trusty Customization Wizard and make sure to UNINSTALL PREVIOUS VERSIONS. When I try to deploy the new package I get an error on each of the patched workstations...so I try to run the setup manually to discover the following error during the installation of Adobe Acrobat X Professional:
Setup has detected that you already have a more functional product installed. Setup will now terminate.
I'm no expert on Adobe, but I do know that management shelled out more money for Professional than they did for Standard and according to the website Pro is more "featured" than standard...so with all due respect, Adobe installer you are WRONG!
I don't want to touch each workstation to uninstall Adobe Acrobat X Standard so I can install Adobe Acrobat X Professional. Can someone please tell me how to get around this installer error please? Some registry key that needs deleting perhaps?
    Many thanks in advance,
    David Vielmetter

Well,  you are attempting to uninstall the same code version of Acrobat X Standard with Acrobat X Pro.  That won't work.  You say that you purchased an upgrade from Acrobat X Standard to Acrobat X Pro that doesn't sound right either.  If you decided to get Acrobat X Pro after already purchasing Acrobat X Standard the process should have been to get the full DVD media or the full ESD (electronic service download) from Adobe of Acrobat X Pro and then destroy or return the old software along with a very long legal form that says you are doing just that process.  That's a procurement issue from both ends I would think.  Needless to say the correct way would be to get the full media with the full serial number for Adobe Acrobat X Pro from Adobe.  Then uninstall Acrobat X Standard from your user machines and then install the full media of Acrobat X Pro.
