D-link bluetooth adapter with Nokia N70 problem

I bought a D-link Bluetooth adapter to sync my Nokia N70 with my iMac G5 (1st gen). Adapter is perfectly accepted. Paring with N70 goes well. Sending files: no problem. But: iSync says cannot connect to this device. I have all updates for iSync and MacOS X 10.4.6.
How to solve this? Any solutions or experiences much appreciated!
Frank

In my services field it says:
SDP Server, AppleAgent, Hands-Free Audio Gateway, Headset Audio Gateway, OBEX File Transfer, SyncMLClient, Nokia OBEX PC Suite Services, OBEX Object Push, Imaging, Dial-Up Networking, Salling Clicker
Paired: Yes
Configured: Yes
Favorite: Yes
Connected: No
Serial Port: Yes
Encouraged to play around again, I found out that while sending a file from a SE K750 i it appeared in iSync, while before it did not. I repeated the same with the Nokia N70: as soon I was having an active connection sending files and at the same time ordered it to add a device to iSync it accepted it.
Now bluetooth seems to be working, except for one thing. When I use Bluetooth to connect my iBook and iMac I'm able to send files, but I'm not able to browse the other computer. Again it say something about services....

No.  That type of profile is not supported by your iPod Touch. See this article for a list of profiles that are supported.

  • Help with Nokia N70 + Belkin Bluetooth USB + OS 10.4.6

    Hello
I've seen previous threads relating to the problems Apple's Bluetooth File Exchange has in recognising/pulling up the contents of a Nokia N70. The advice for N70 users wishing to transfer their photos to the Mac has been to send photos individually from the Gallery in the N70. This process doesn't even work for me, despite the fact that Bluetooth File Exchange and iSync both recognise my phone just fine.
    My questions therefore are:
-- Is there a known solution to Bluetooth File Exchange's inability to list content of a Nokia N70?
-- Is there another Bluetooth application (shareware or other) that can do what the Bluetooth File Exchange can't (in this case)?
-- Why can't I send photos individually from the N70 to my Mac? Is my Belkin Bluetooth USB Adapter (Class 2; v1.2) not the right thing?
    Help please!

It works fine for me, I can even mark several of them and send them in one operation.
Since you are concerned about your Adapter, why don't you try the procedure in a Mac with 1.4.7.

  • D-Link Bluetooth Adapter

Will the wireless keyboard and Mighty Mouse work with a D-Link Bluetooth USB Adapter? If so, where would I find a D-Link Bluetooth USB Adapter?

They should work with the D-Link DBT-120 (not any other) as that is the only external USB dongle recommended and supported by Apple.
Unfortunately, as you haven't told us which country you live in, ("northwest" what? Australia? China? Outer Mongolia?), it's a little difficult to suggest a possible retailer near to you.
eBay is a good start - or try contacting D-Link for retailers in your country/area:

  • Bluetooth adapter with digital input

I'm interested to purchase a bose solo tv speaker together with a bluetooth adapter so that i can play music from my laptop using the bose speakers. Do you have any bluetooth adapters that I can plug into the digital input of the bose speakers instead of the RCA input so that I can enjoy better sound quality?

If i were still like to look for a blue tooth adapter with digital input, are there any out there?
Rocketfish makes one with digital but there are issues with it's range, Belkin and Harmon Kardon make them, but they're analog only. All of them are in the same $50.00 price range.
But the connectivity doesn't matter, you will not be able to tell the difference in audio fidelity between analog or digital using bluetooth.
Bluetooth simply doesn't have the bandwidth to carry any type of audio that needs a higher bandwidth digital connection. Digital Stereo maxes out at 1.41 Mbps, Bluetooth A2DP which is the best option for audio right now, maxes out at 768kbps.
There's a nice and consice article here that briefly goes over the technical details:

  • USB connection with Nokia N70

While my imac can see the N70 via the USB connection, isync doesn't see the phone. I want to transfer photos/video from the phone to the imac and imagine the usb to be way faster than bluetooth. Can anyone hopefully point out an obvious solution to the dilemma??

    I'm not familiar with the N70 but I have a N3230.
I simply remove the MMC card from the phone and plug it into my USB card reader. It then mounts itself as a drive on the desktop and I can manipulate its content.

  • C7 - Bluetooth connection with car kit - problem

    Hi all,
Can anyone help me about my problem. I bought new phone Nokia C7 with Anna software and I have a problem with pairing with my car (Bluetooth device Parrot CK3000 Evo). I think that the problem is with phone, because when I paired devices all things work well, but when I turn off the car (Parrot is switched off) and go away, other phones that I previously used disabled connection and can be used normally. But with this phone I see that for the phone connection still present (?!?) The car symbol on display still shown, and when I try to use the phone, I can make call, other people say that they receive calling , but I can't hear them, and they can't hear me. When I manually disconnect Bluetooth device, phone work normally, but when I am in the car again, two devices doesn't initiate pairing, and again I have to do this manually. It' a huge problem for me.
Is there anyone who have the same problem, or anyone who know how to solve this. I  couldn't find option to solve this from menus.
    Any ideas?
Unfortunately my warranty doesn't allow me to change software version from 022.014 to another... but if this will help...

    Thank you for your reply,
Do you think, that the solution is new update for Parrot device?
As I understand, you still have the problem and your hope is this update eventually.
Do you read somewhere something about this?
I have registration in Parrot forum, but I haven't read inside anything about  the problem . It looks, that they never heard about it...

  • D-link Bluetooth adapter vs. Keyspan adapter

I've been reading about a lot of problems folks are having with the D-link adapter. MacMall offers it, but suggests using the Keyspan adapter for fewer problems. Anyone try it and what's your experience? It got a great review at global technology: http://www.globetechnology.com/servlet/story/RTGAM.20030722.gtbluejuly22/BNStory /TechReviews/

It does no support headsets – correct me if I am wrong.
Yes, most people have problems while having a D-Link DBT-120 USB adapter. However, in 99% they do not have a problem with the D-Link but something else. They simply utilize it. Moreover, because the D-Link is the only one you should use, most people use it.

  • D-Link Bluetooth Adapter DBT-120

I just purchased a D-Link DBT-120 adapter. I have been trying to get the adapter to work. When I plug it into my USB port on the side of my computer it does not turn on. I have the latest updates on my computer, but it is not recognizing the bluetooth at all. The two lights don't even come on when it is plugged into my computer. Does anyone have any suggestions?
    Emac   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

That worked with some workaround. I could not install
the firmware updater on my PB. I did, however, on my
iMac (btw, same panther), firmware updated the dongle
and then the dongle is recognized on the powerbook.
    Thanks.
Wow, it's too bad the people at Apple don't seem to actually read this forum, because they need to hear about the updater not being installable on on that PB. I wonder why that was?
I'm about to post about my dongle not being usable after a system reboot The little B just has a squiggly line through it...

  • Seeburger EDI Adapter with terrible performance problems

    Hi,
we installed seeburger edi adapter on PI 7.1 and we have terrible performance problems:
We have a mail sender adapter polling a mail account.
Till the message is visible inside integration engine it takes sometimes 1-2 minutes or longer.
We already tuned the j2ee-engine and checked the DB-indexes (there are some OSS Notes) - no success.
We think that the problem is inside the DB-tables of Seeburger an that some indexes are missing (Oracle DB).
    Any ideas?
    Thanx
    regards
    Wolfgang Hummel

    Hi,
I think in PI 7.1 SAP installed their own Java-VM (compatible with Sun 1.5) - is it true?
Do you have the same performance problems inside the adapter?
The adapter is like a black hole and it take sometimes one hour till you can see a message inside the integration engine (sxmb_moni).
    Regards
    Wolfgang

  • Regarding the File Adapter with Code Page problem

    Hi All,
I have a scenario where I am processing file at receiver end. The code page of the file is Cp037. When I try with this, I am facing the problem. Is there anyway where I can chage the code page of the file which is to processed by File adapter receiver.
I have one idea but I don't know whether it is possible or not. It is to use XML Anonymizer Module.
Please get back to me with your ideas.
    Regards,
    Achari

    Hi Achaari,
Cp037 ( EBCDIC ) is not a basic but an extended encoding set which might not be supported by the file encoding parameter at the receiver file adapter.
    Either you can try the code page conversion using java code  as mentioned in  this[ post|Code page conversion;
    Please refer Problem with EBCDIC
Michale's reply and the sriram's reply which talks about  some work around using .BAT files.

  • Please help with Nokia N95 problem.

If anyone can help with this I’d be much appreciated, I have a N95 on contract with T-Mobile. When I try to play videos from myspace, or you tube etc… I get a message telling me the following.
“Hello, Either you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of macromedia's flash player click here to get the latest flash player”.
I then get the option of clicking on a link within the previous sentence statement that directs me to acrobat downloads home page where I get the following message.
“We are unable to locate a web player that matches your platform and browser. Please visit our table of recommended web players”
This is deeply frustrating as in nearly every other way I feel the phone is perfect. If Any one can hep me fix this problem I’d be much appreciated.

    daperk,
You should post this to board "Smartphones, Nseries and Eseries Devices".

I'm in exactly the same situation as daperk... Love the phone BUTthe selling point for me was the internet access so when i began surfing found that most me the sites i went to i couldn't see the content and also would sometimes recieved a message saying i didn't have enough memory now considering i have a 2 gig card in it this didn't seem right i looked for any settings to allocate more space to internet browser but can't find anything... Regarding the utube program on the phone why supply it if it doesn't work?? I have the same problem i can see them in the menu but when i select one it doesn't play... I'm new here and only came here looking for a solution to the flash player issue but now i'm here i noticed posts refering to handsets crashing this i have to mention is another problem i have encountered... I'm doing something and the phone just freezes up leaving the only thing i can do is turn the power off and on to reset it... As i said at the start love the phone... But just wish it did what it said on the tin...
