D-link camera

Is there a go around to view D-link camera with safari on a PowerBook G4?

Hello,
I think you may have better luck creating a new post related to accessing/controlling web pages through LabVIEW if that is the route you are now taking. You should include any example code you have created up to this point as well as a full description of how this camera and web page work together. What are you trying to do with the image and/or video in LabVIEW?
Good work on finding an alternate solution!

  • Re: Invalid sibling link came the reply

Hi Folks, I have a big problem, I was saving a document when the spinning beach ball arrived.
The computer just quit, i've never had Mac quit like that before.
I ran Disk Utility, (Invalid sibling link came the reply) I can see the drive greyed out, I highlight the
drive, the blue Mount button lights up but the HD doesn't mount.
I re-booted from my Diskwarrior cd and that way managed to bootup from an external HD.
I ran diskwarrior. When I reached the point to replace the directory I get a flag telling me that there
is not enough free disk space to perform a fail-safe replacement of the directory.
Does anyone know: How much space is required to replace the directory (I have 2.5 gig available)
Is there a way to pull stuff off the HD. !!!!
At this point I think a couple of glasses of vino calapsso is what I need.
What can I do next. Thanks very much in advance.......... B Taylor

    Hi-

Oh my! 10 to 15GB minimum free space, or no more than 80% capacity. You have problems....
At this point I think a couple of glasses of vino calapsso is what I need.
No, you need another hard drive.
Buy a new hard drive, and install it in the other hard drive bay. Format the new drive with Disk Utility, and install OS X. Boot to the new drive, and then you can move files to the new drive.

  • Connect a D-Link camera to Skype

Can you connect a D-Link camera to a Mac Air instead of using the laptop camera?

fredea2 wrote: ... to connect via the WPS button
Open AirPort Utility on your Mac, select your AirPort Time Capsule, and then click Edit. Enter the password if necessary.
Then use Airport Utility's menu command.
For complete info about how to access this command, see your
    Time Capsule's User Guide.
If that will not let your device find your TC, you may need to add your camera to the network manually.

  • Cannot access D-Link camera from internet

I have an Actiontec MI424WR router. I've attached a D-Link DCS-910 camera but can't access it remotely from the internet. It works fine through my home network. I've tried changing the router firewall settings but I can't make it work.

#1 Did you use a port checker?
#2 If so, was it any of these:

  • Configure a D-link Camera to mac pro via airport extreme ethernet

Why can't my Airport Extreme pick up a signal from a parallel device connected by ethernet cable?

Hi All.  Managed to sort this out myself in the end.  Eventually the green light stopped flashing on the MBL, so I went to the WD web site and downloaded their 'My Book Live Setup" app.  This prompted me to log into the admin side of MBL via the web GUI and then download new firmware, and in doing so (took several failed attempts) it recognised an 'issue' with the MBL.  It gave me the awesome option to "FIX IT", so I chose that.  It then downloaded more stuff and then allowed me to rename the MBL which I did.  Then I think I had success downloading the firmware, and I then could use the rescan in the WD App, which took me all the way through the set up, and at last I could connect. Yay!

  • Multi-Camera-Link Vision Acquisition using .avi

So I'm trying to use two Camera-Link Cameras (JAI CM-200-MCL) with the NI PCIe 1430 frame grabber in order to obtain video of a y-axis tensile testing project, and I'm relatively new to the whole LabVIEW experience. Essentially, I want to be able to capture every image of the testing process, so I can correlate the tensile testing results with specific images using the same sample clock, (e.g. data taken at 30 seconds match the image taken at 30 seconds). I'm trying to put everything together in piece and I already have a fairly stable, working tensile testing program written for LabVIEW 2009. I'm now in the process of using IMAQ (4.4) to track these images and save them as a .avi file. I've provided some sample code -- although it currently isn't working -- that's very simplistic.
    Questions:
    1. Is there an even simpler way?
    2. Can I sync the tensile testing VI and the Vision VI by placing the Vision VI in the Tensile Testing VI inside an event structure that's triggered by the "start" button. (Boolean)
    Thanks

    lyncheb,
How accurately do you want your test and images to by synchronized (second, millisecond...)?  If you only need to be accurate to around 1 second then software timing would work.  However if you need sub milisecond accuracy you will want to use hardware triggering.  The 1430 is capable of hardware triggering over a RTSI line.  See page 16 (2-4) of the user manual here: http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/372016a.pdf
What kind of data are you logging?  What hardware / software are you using to log this data?

  • Active X control of D-Link DCS-2100+ Wireless Network Camera

    Hello,
I need to periodically grab a still image from the above camera using LabVIEW 8+. I've seen some similar stuff on the forum regarding the use of activeX with other types of D-Link camera, but would like to know exactly which activeX control should be used, and where I can get it from.
The camera comes with some bundled surveillance software with a few dlls that it may be possible to register, to allow access to some functions, but has anybody else had a go at this?!
Previously I used a linksys camera which worked with the 80211netcam.ocx, but the activeX functionality was extremely limited and would not allow a snapshot to be downloaded directly by labview. Instead, I had to stream the video image into the front panel activeX container then perform a screendump which would then be cropped and saved to HDD. The whole process took at least 2 seconds, so the ability to get a pic directly to HDD from the camera without having to go through the above process would be extremely useful. I think it can be done using the D-Link, but need some pointers on how to create the ActiveX functionality.
    Cheers
    Chris

    Hello Pepic,
I've attached a copy of the netcamplayer11g.ocx. Put this in C:/Windows/System 32, then run the following in the command line:
    regsvr32 "C:\WINDOWS\system32\netcamplayer11g.ocx"
A message box will pop saying that registration has succeeded. Open up a new vi, put an empty activeX container on it and you should now be able to access the properties of the camera via activeX. Let me know if this works, and if you can see "snapshot" as one of those properties.
    Best Regards

  • New to MACs and need help with a built-in video camera in MACBOOK

My mother and father just purchased a new MACBOOK a few weeks ago. They reside in Florida and we live in Indiana. We have a wireless camera that is connected to our wireless router. We call my parents and talk to them while we are on camera so they can see their grandchild.
I just found out their new MACBOOK had a built-in camera and I'm wondering how we can set that up so we can see them at the same time? Our child would love to be able to see his grandparents while we talk to them.
Our wireless camera has a built-in server and runs to a specific spot on our website so they can access it. But I don't know how the MAC works or what to do to tell them to set up the computer so we can see them.
Can someone direct me to some instructions on what I can do or give me some direction? I would really appreciate it.
    Thanks!
    John

I use a Dell Dimension for my computer. I do not use Skype at all. The wireless camera we have on our home network is a Dlink 900. It does not have any sound capabilities so we were not too worried about being able to have a true "video conference" with their laptop. We jsut wanted to be able to see them. I don't know if that video image can be sent to a webpage (like our d-link camera does) or not. Or, maybe there is a much easier way of doing this that I'm not aware of.
    Thanks for your response.

  • Unable to install Camera RAW 8.5 update

    Hi...
I'm trying to update my Photoshop CC camera raw to the latest version 8.5.
Every time I install the ACR 8.5 update. It is stated as successful. But when I open a raw file, I can see that it is still 8.0.
I have tried uninstalling everything, ie Photoshop, Bridge & CC desktop app, than reinstall. But the outcome is still the same.
    I'm using Windows 8.1.

  • HTC Media Link HD and BT HomeHub3

I have bought a HTC Media Link HD to link my HTC One to the TV. Although the HTC One finds the Media Link it will not configure. In the instructions it says ' be sure that you are not trying to connect to a network that blocks IP multicasting or requires a security certificate', whatever that means. I understand that the BT HomeHub 3 does block IP multicasting. Is there anyway I can connect to this or have I wasted my money? In the advanced settings for the HomeHub 3 is something called Port Forwarding, do I need to enter anything in this and if so what?

Hi I had the same problem my htc one would not configure with htc media link, I had to go into my hub advance settings and click on wirless tab and then change the wirless interface type to 802.11 b/g and then click apply to store setting then under home network my HTC Media link Came up and i clicked on it and selected use same ip address for this device, and click apply to save setting restet the hub and one i connected my Media link to TV and used my phone it found it and updated the firmware on the media device then all Works well NOW, hope this helps.

  • Invalid icd file with Basler Spring Camera

    Basic Problem
I am trying to run my Basler camera (Basler spL8192-70km) with the icd file provided on the NI website (http://sine.ni.com/apps/utf8/nipc.product?pid=11078&asid=1102). When load this camera file through the NI Camera File Generator, I get the error:
"This camera file is not a digital camera file, or it is damaged. A new digital camera file will be created."
Why am I experiencing this problem?
    Additional Details
I am placing this file in the default location for icd files. I have been able to run this camera with another camera file, but the dimensions and settings of this camera file are different.
I know that I can create my own camera file with the NI Camera File Generator, but I would like to see if I can get this icd file to run since all the parameters will be set correctly. I tried to search for the error message, but did not have any success.
    Software/hardware specs: Windows 7 64-bit, LabVIEW 2010, IMAQ 4.6.4, NI 1429 frame grabber
    Thanks,
    Kristen

    Hi Kristen,
The reason why you are seeing that prompt when trying to load the camera file you linked with NI Camera File Generator is that camera files are frame grabber specific. The linked camera file (.icd file) is for the NI-1433 frame grabber only and will not work without modification on the 1429. It may be worth contacting Basler to see if they have a camera file for the NI-1429 or we can create a camera file (based off of the 1433 camera file) for the NI-1429 specifically.

  • Unable to open Sony A77II Raw files in PSE11. [was: Camera raw]

I have the Sony A77 ii and i cannot open the Raw files in Elements 11.  It says the file appears to be from a camera model that is not supported by the installed version of Camera Raw.  I have the latest version installed.  Does anyone else have this issue?

    According to this link :
Camera Raw plug-in | Supported cameras
the A77 II is only supported with ACR 8.5 which is not compatible with PSE11. It would need PSE12 with the latest ACR update.
The free solution is to download the Adobe DNGconverter.
That free and independent software can batch convert a whole folder of raw files to the DNG raw format that PSE11 can read.
