D-Link DBT-122, problem with Apple fimware updater
Few days ago,I bought a D-Link DBT-122 usb bluetooth adapter (the new model of dbt-120 and the "only" actual model of the D-Link) to connect my BT headset JABRA with my mac-mini, but even if the OS system find the usb BT adapter, it not permit the pairing with headset (error message: this hw not support...".
I tried to use the firmware update, as suggested from other post and as suggested in the apple support webpage, but I receive an other error message about an hardware not suppoted..." and not permit the firmware update.
It is strange since all D-Link products derived from DBT-120 are supported from firmware updater (you can read in the apple webpage support about bluetooth firmware updater: "...The Bluetooth Firmware Updater is for D-Link USB Adapters (revision B2 or later), and Apple internal Bluetooth modules on PowerBooks, PowerMacs, iMacs, iBooks, and eMacs. ..."

You need the D-Link DBT-120. Search this forum for the D-Link DBT-122. It has Broadcom Bluetooth chipset instead of the CSR BlueCore chipset which is required by the Apple Bluetooth Firmware Updater.
The D-Link DBT-122 is not a newer D-Link DBT-120. It is a different product. There are some Bluetooth 2.0+EDR adapters which should work out of the box – but I have no brand name or model sold worldwide, yet.

Solution to aluminum wireless keyboard with D-Link DBT-122 on Win XP
On several forums I found a lot of people haveing the same problem I had; the D-Link DBT-122 drivers would ask to enter the pairing key but showed a greyed box so we don't know what numbers to enter. I tried all the tips like changing settings in the registry, changing the drivers, using Microsoft drivers, etc. but nothing worked.
What did work:
I paired the keyboard with a computer with a different Bluetooth adapter (in this case an Mac running WinXP). I selected to let the driver choose a key for me, wrote it down, enter the key on the keyboard and it paired successfully. I turned off the keyboard (hold the power button about 10 seconds) and removed it from the bluetooth devices on this computer.
Now on the computer with the D-Link DBT-122 adapter; I plugged a standard USB keyboard, started the pairing process, turned on the Wireless keyboard, and entered the pairing key using the USB keyboard to enter the numbers (must be fast; was not fast enough on the first try) and at the end pressing Enter on the wireless keyboard.
I then used the Microsoft utility "remapkey.exe" from the "Microsoft Windows Resource Kit Tools" to put the Delete key on the right command button so I would be able to log in using Ctrl-Alt-Del.
VoilI tried to do what you described in this post but it does NOT work. I have a D-Link DBT-122 and Win XP running on a PC and the wireless keyboard.
I type the code in the grey field with an USB keyboard and then I do the same with the wireless one and press "Enter" but it does NOT work.

Can this dongle only support 1 device?

I mounted the image and copied "BTFWUpdate1.2.1.pkg" from it to the desktop. After that control-click the file and select "Show package contents". A new window opens with a single directory named "Contents". Inside that directory look for a file named "Archive.pax.gz" and move it to the desktop. Double-Click the file on the desktop. If all goes well it should create an "Applications"-Folder with the Bluetooth Firmware Updater-Utility inside it. Now you finally have a working 1.2.1-Updater. You can copy it to your utilities-Folder, but you don't have to, it works from everywhere. -
Still problems with Apple id and emails after move to iCloud

After move from MobileMe to iCloud, there are still problems with apple id's and emails.
I'm trying to delete a mail (email1) from one apple id, but nothing happens?
And when i'm trying to add a email (email2), that i Know isn't linked to another apple id, i get the message that it is already in use with another apple id?
It's a problem when you use these emails with facetime, imessage etc ...My iPhone 5 and 4 both are having no trouble connecting to the Apple store, but my iPad (4th Gen) cannot either connect to Apple store, nor stream music using iTunes Radio. Keeps asking for my Apple ID and password. When I put it in, it says that I cannot connect. If I put it in wrong, it tells me its wrong. Tried changing my password on my desktop PC. The iPhones handled change and continued to connect, but iPad is unable to connect still.
Any solutions would be appreciated. -
Yes another user with problem with Apple Mobile Device Support, I am getting the error message: Service 'Apple Mobile Device'(Apple Mobile Device) failed to start. Vertify that you have sufficient privileges to start system service....I hit retry and it came up again. I hit ignore and it prompted me to hit finish so Itunes can open. I looked thru alot of these posts on here to try and resolve this problem myself but it's not working too well...I downloaded Itunes to my desktop so I can right click it with the program i downloaded called WinRAR. I extracted it and then went into the folder called Itunes64setup. I saw the file called AppleMobileDeviceSupport64 in there so I began to try and download it on it's own. Well that didn't work as I planned and got this error message:
Apple Mobile Device Support wasn't installed on your computer. The installer encountered errors before Apple Mobile Device Support could be configured. Your system has not been modified. To retry these operations at a later time,please run the installer again.
Well I tried to run it again and came up with the same message...I see that some people got great support to help them so I am hoping someone can help me as well. I know "b nor" is very qualfied and hopefully can help me! Please advise what I can do. Thank youHi Iss9243,

but that don't change the issue that you will never be able to facetime eachtoher
the appleID is really meant as the handle that identify you it was not meant to be shared

In my Iphone 5, Nothing on my App Store is working, its displaying blank (Except for Genius section). I've tried to uninstall and install itunes and all its component in my desktop but still it doesn't fix the app store issue. Not sure if its problem with apple servers. Someone help please!
settigns>itunes and app store to make sure you are signed in.. If you are, you will see your account name..... anyhow, click your account name, sign out and sign back in
also go to to settings>general>reset and reset network settings... if that doesnt work settings>general>reset and reset all settings!

The screen looks completely normal besides the vertical white lines on the right hand side of the screen, as the "slide to unlock" is lighting up and the time and date are changing, but the screen is unresponsive. After several problems with Apple in the last few months (and two defective iPods including this one and one iPhone), I really don't want to go through the whole process of bringing it in or getting a new one entirely. It would greatly help if someone knows a solution, even if that would require completely resetting the iPod to factory settings, as I have had is synced to iTunes before. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could help. Thanks.
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem. Seems like a bad digitizer or connection or logic board.

Problems with Apple Photo Services
I've been having problems with Apple's Photo Services. The first time, I'm pretty sure I didn't crop some pics correctly, but they were gracious enough to refund my $$. However, then I got serious about cropping in Aperture 2, and double-checked everything before submitting them. The 20 x 30s were fine, but the 16 x 20s were all screwed up. My $ was refunded for these, but I can't figure out whether the problem is mine, or in the transmission of the pics, or something that went wrong in the Photo Service. When I complain, they always send back a small pdf of what they claim they received, and it always matches what they printed. But that's not what I sent them.
Anyone else have these problems? Might it be a bug in Aperture 2?
SeanWhen I do a bulk export from Aperture 2, to anywhere, (flickr, Photoshelter, a set of files, gallery), randomly, (about 2 in thirty images are affected).
The effect is stretched non-centerd cropping. I think it only affects random cropped images. Not all cropped images, but I am not sure about non-cropped images. ...
The extra effort to go back to the export, after the fact, just to check up on the quality exported images is a waste of my time, but now made necessary.
The thing that bothers me the most is that selecting the images that have been exported with the problem and then re-exporting those images produces, for me, the export I originally expected without the errors. -
Problems with Apple Preview filled forms and compatibility with Windows?
Anyone else having problems with Apple Preview filled out forms and compatibility with Microsoft Windows after Lion?
I've had it happen recently with two different people, where the data I had entered on a fillable PDF form could not be seen by Microsoft Windows, but I saw my data just fine.
I don't know what version of Adobe Acrobat they were running.

ktYou will get that first message when the document has been changed in a way that invalidates the internal digital signature that's applied when a document is Reader-enabled. Certain changes are allowed (e.g., filling fields, commenting, signing) and will not invalidate the signature, but others are not. The exact cause of the change is often hard to track down, but it can be due to font problems, some type of file corruption, or something that Acrobat/Reader attempts to correct when the file is opened/saved. You will also get the message if the users system time is not correct and is currently set to some time before the document was Reader-enabled. It seems best to use the most recent version of Acrobat to enabled the documents and recent versions of Reader to work with them.
It problem is probably not related to the user using anything in the Sign pane. -
We've just now upgraded from Leopard to Snow Leopard and are having a problem with Apple ProRes 4444 and alpha channels in Motion 4. A clip with an alpha which keyed perfectly before the upgrade, now will not key. If I convert the clip to the Animation codec, it keys perfectly. If I export the Motion project as a ProRes 4444 self contained movie, it will key when brought into FCP 7 but if I import the project into FCP 7, it will show the key in the viewer but not the canvas. Has anyone seen this or have any suggestions on how to correct this? Is it a bug?

I heard that there was a problem with Apple being vulnerable to Hackers. Has anyone seen an update for this issue? My IPad received the update last night but I have not seen anything for Safari.
Mac OS X 10.9.2 was released today for this issue and others. Earlier versions are not affected.

Anyone have problems with apple ID's? I have the correct ID in my settings but when I try to update my apps my ID shows my first name and last name but not my ID? I'm not sure what else to do because I've made sure I have the correct ID in my settings! Anyone else have this issue?
I think its meant to show your name, not your ID.

I have a problem with Apple store when installing large application (example xCode): The system crashes.
