D-Link PCI Wireless Adapter Drivers?

Hello,
Does anyone know where I can locate some device drivers for a D-Link PCI Wireless Adapter??
I have a D-Link DWL G510 adapter and so far have been unable to find any dirvers for it.
I called D-Link and they do not support any unix/linux device drivers.
Thanks!

Hi, have you found any drives yet for the dlink ? I am trying to use Solaris on a Toshiba Satellite, and would like to use a dlink wireless card, my card is a Dlink DWL-G630 and comes with Drivers for XP but nothing for linux/unix. I might add that it is supported by other linux distros and I'm wondering why Sun isn't supporting this plug and play yet, how can I wander around with my laptop if I won't be able to pick up a signal? thanks

Good day and welcome to the community.
    Based on 14E4 / 4365, it's a Broadcom WLAN adapter.
    This: http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/lenovo-g-series-laptops/g50-70-noteboo...
should be your Win8.1 installer. It shows a 3/30/2015 release date.
If you're looking for a Win7 package, it's also available in the master list here: http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/lenovo-g-series-laptops/g50-70-noteboo...

  • Using D-link G650 wireless adapter

Hi all I have a question,,,I have a D-Link dwl-g650 wireless adapter I want to try and use in my PB TI I know it is for most pc's but I found site ( http://www.stateofyo.net/metaphyzx/Wireless.htm ) that say it can be use in it,,I only have to install a new driver software from OrangeWare to make it work,,but when I download it it is in a .sit format how do i make this work..I'm new to macs and still learning all there little tricks any advice on this would be great.....
I know there are other cards out there that will work but thought I'd give this a try since I had it already.....

this is a stuffit file format. you can try to download stuffit expander or go get "the unarchiver." - http://wakaba.c3.cx/s/apps/unarchiver.html
I like the unarchiver app better, personally. it's easy to install & setup - all you do is open the .dmg file by a double click, drag the app to your Mac HD/Applications folder, & double click the app to open the quick setup panel - which consist of checkmarks for the various formats. you don't have to really do anything but click OK.
now double click the sit file, it should unpack it in the same place where your sit file is sitting.

  • A700 XP wireless adapter drivers

Has anyone besides me downgraded to XP Pro?  This unit has a Broadcom 802.11n and the version is 5.60.18.41.  I've found the XP drivers but for the life of me I can not get them/it to work.   I've installed the chipset drivers for XP so I don't think that's the cause.  Everything is working except the wireless.
anyone have any suggestions or solutions?

    Ouch! Ooops!
But wait a minute, you posted that you have the "Intel Pro_1000MT ", that's a LAN not WLAN card. Your subject, I should have noticed earlier, says "wireless adapter". Which wireless adapter do you have?
It would be helpful if you could post which T41 and Operating System you have, even better post the Type and Model Number this will help members to help you. If it ends in CTO please provide some details about the wireless card. Please do NOT post your s/n.

  • D-Link USB wireless adapter

I have a D-Link wireless router and USB dongle package, it works with my windows laptops perfectly well.
I am looking for a way to use the USB wireless dongle with a G5 tower so I can use the Mac as a web machine.
There is a software driver for the dongle but I have no idea what information on the different tabs I should enter, so any ideas what this should be?
The user manual is for windows, there is information on how to set up for Mac, despite the inclusion of the Mac driver on the CD.
The dongle is a D-Link DWA-111, user manual here:
    ftp://ftp.dlink.co.uk/wireless/dwa-111/DWA-111ManualEnglish.pdf
    thanks for any help

    hi....
i use a d-link dwl g122 dongle that has the same RT73 ralink chip.
the d-link driver that came with the CD just did one thing to my G5 powermac: kernelpanic!
after some searching on the web i found out, that it is best not to use the d-link driver at all, but to use the original ralink driver for the chip provided here:
    http://www.ralinktech.com/support.php?s=3
load the "USB(RT257X/RT2671/RT2500)" driver. that's the driver, that will give you the wireless utility as it is shown in BD's picture.
before you install it, make sure that you uninstall the d-link driver completely. there should be an uninstaller in the dmg or zip file, that was on the CD.
then install the ralink driver and after that connect your d-link dongle. the wireless utility should pop up after a minute or so, but first you've to go to the network preference pane and confirm, that there is a new port detected.
then you can go back to the wireless utility, that by then should be searching for available wireless networks in the site survey tab. choose yours and enter the password when asked. after that safe the connection to a profile.

  • Help on a wireless adapter

I have pci wireless adapter. Does anyone know if the Airlink AWLH5026 works in the dual 1.25ghz MDD powermac? Or do I need to find something else.?

The Airlink driver for that adapter seems to be Windows only. However, a quick Internet search appears to indicate that a Ralink chipset might be used. If this is true, you could possibly have some luck with a Mac driver from the Ralink site. Otherwise, another PCI card (with support for Macintosh computers) may have to be tested. Alternatively, a wireless Ethernet bridge (also known as a gaming adapter) could be connected to the Ethernet port (wireless Ethernet bridge devices do not, normally, require special drivers).

  • Wireless broadcom pci mini adapter and thin client t620

    Hi
I need toknow if part code 582564-001 will work in the thin client F5A54AT. Are there driver availalbe?
    Thanks

I finally solved this problem by retrying the steps posted elsewhere in the community. I did NOT revert my o/s to Windows 8 and reinstall the upgrade to 8.1. I simply went into Device Manager and uninstalled the wireless adapter and its software. I then downloaded and installed the Realtek 8188CE Windows 8 driver from the Lenovo H520 drivers page. Finally, I followed the steps to update that driver, selecting the option to choose the driver myself. You should see a Microsoft driver and a Realtek driver - pick the Realtek driver and you should be good to go.

  • Netgear PCI Wireless Card in a Power Mac G4

I have a Netgear PCI Wireless Card MA311 and I'm trying to make it work in my Power Mac G4. Does anyone know of any drivers I can use or any way I can get online with it? An alternate option is the Linksys Wireless-B USB adapter (ver.2.8) that I have around here somewhere.

Generally speaking, if you are planning on buying a PCI wireless card, do make sure that it is Mac compatible. Mac drivers for such cards or for USB wireless adapters can often be difficult or impossible to find.
Another option could be a wireless Ethernet bridge (also known as a gaming adapter) connected to the Ethernet port. These devices (examples include Belkin F5D7330, D-Link DWL-G810, D-Link DWL-G820, Linksys WET54G, Linksys WGA600N and Netgear WGE111) do not normally require special driver software, and can be used under almost any operating system. WPA security may or may not be supported for a certain unit, so study the specifications (a firmware update can solve this in some cases).

  • PCI wireless card does not work after restart - FM2-A55M-E33

Installed TP-LINK WN751ND wireless PCI card onto FM2-A55M-E33 motherboard. The card works fine after cold start, but does not work after restart. Windows recognises the card, but it gets code 10, cannot start.
BIOS is updated (v.11.1), as well as drivers and Windows 7 64.
I suspect that this might be the issue: Incorrect ASPM Transitions on the GPP Interface as found in ChipsetMotherboard_TechDocs/48671.pdf on AMD's official support site.
Does anyone know more about this issue?

Great! I've done that and now my card shows up. Thing is, when I try to get an IP address, it won't work. Here is the command output:
ieee80211 phy0: wl_ops_config: change monitor mode: false (implement)
    ieee80211 phy0: wl_ops_config: change power-save mode: false (implement)
    ieee80211 phy0: wl_ops_bss_info_changed: qos enabled: false (implement)
And then it times out and no IP is assigned. The thing is, wpa_supplicant stays alive after this time out, and I am unable to kill it (killall -9 wpa_supplicant won't kill it). At this point if I try to reboot the machine, it will stop at 'Rebooting' and won't go anywhere. If I turn off the wireless card in its switch Linux crashes. If I try to get an ip again (by running dhcpcd) the command will hang and not return to the shell anymore.
I am unable to find any useful information in the logs.
    Got any more suggestions?
Thanks! (And sorry to disturb so much)

Hello again samyak.  You are very welcome!
The first device (the virtual adapter) is virtual network which allows you to use the computer as a "software router."  Unless you're using this PC as an Access Point this device is useless to you.  This article has more information on the service.  Your best bet is to just disable it.  Try the following.
Click Start, go to "All Programs," and select "Accessories."
Right click on "Command Prompt" and select "Run as Administrator."
Type the command "netsh wlan set hostednetwork [mode=disallow] and press Enter.  This should disable the virtual adapter.
Exit Command Prompt, reboot the computer, and verify that the device is no longer listed.
The device with the "ACPI/HPQ0004" ID actually returned two results.  The first was the Quick Launch Button software.  The other was related to Hard Drive Protection.  Try this driver.
Make sure to reboot after all of these instructions have been completed.  Then go back to Device Manager and verify whether everything looks as it should.
Continue to have a great day!
Please click the white star under my name to give me Kudos as a way to say "Thanks!"
Click the "Accept as Solution" button if I resolve your issue.

  • PCI wireless possible?  RAM location for 233MHz Power Mac G3?

    Hello All!
I just added a free Power Mac G3 233MHz to my collection! For fun, I want to install 10.2.8, add 768 MB RAM, 40GB HD, PCI USB 2.0, PCI ATI 9200 and a PCI Macwireless or Aria wireless card. I want to keep the 233MHz CPU! My first question is, how do I install RAM? I pulled the cover and thought it would be in plain sight like the PCI area. Also, I found two PCI wireless cards online that will work with the 233MHz G3 under 10.2.8 using Airport software. Has anyone had luck using wireless? I searched the forum and found no results.
Thanks in advance! I'm glad to be part of the Beige G3 community!

Since you have a good collection of Macs already, maybe think about what you want to use this machine for, and what upgrades you really need. The ATI 9200 may be overkill, since the stock 233MHz CPU will not really be fast enough to run any of the real-time 3D graphics apps that would require the 9200, however, you would be able drive multiple monitors, one-DVI & one-VGA, from the 9200, in addition to the built-in Macintosh video output. What specific apps do you want to run on it?
To use the built-in Macintosh video output with a standard VGA monitor you need a Macintosh to VGA adapter. There is an on-board VRAM slot that you can fill with a 4MB module to increase the color depth and resolution options to use a larger monitor on the built-in video card, if you decide you want to use the built-in video rather than a PCI video.
It might be hard to find, but maybe you could get a used ATI Radeon Mac Edition for a little less money, but if you want to buy a new PCI video with warranty, I think the 9200 is the only option.
One thing that is abysmally slow in the G3's is the on-board ATA33 which actually runs at about half-speed of what is expected. You are lucky to get 16 MB/sec throughput max. A good alternative, if you have the spare PCI slot, would be to add an ATA66 PCI card or better, which will also add Master/Slave support, but requires some creative ATA-cable origami to reach from the PCI card to the hard drives in the expansion bays, but it is possible. You could get roughyl 40 MB/sec from an ATA66 PCII drive. Booting and launching apps would be not quite twice as fast, but definitely noticeable.
The extra RAM you plan to get will definitely help, but if you lack enough RAM both OS 9 and OS X will use virtual memory swap space on the hard drive, so having that faster through put will also help improve general performance.
But, if it's just for fun and messing around this may not be an important issue for you anyway. Just something to consider.
You might be able to use an external wireless USB device (not sure if drivers are available for 10.2 for any on the market today) or wireless Ethernet adapter (no drivers needed, but still limited to slower 10BaseT speed on the G3), to free up one of the PCI slots for the ATA66 card. If the built-in Ethernet is still functional, can you just run a wire?
If you can get 10.3 I'd recommend that, 10.2 just seems to have been not quite as stable, but I really can't remember if that may have been due to Norton Utilities that I was also using at the time.
http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/ has some old do-it-yourself upgrade articles on the G3's.
http://www.otherworldcomputing.com/ also has good Mac-customer support and knowledge of compatible products.

  • WIFI problems solved with D-Link USB WIFI adapter...

I have a brand new Macbook Air and I have persistent problems connecting to my home wifi network. Sometimes I can connect to the router but not the internet, but usually Airport won't connect at all: it keeps asking me for the password for our home network (even though it's stored), so I re-enter the password, but it still can't connect. When it gets to this point I know that I either have to live without internet for the rest of the day, or disrupt my work and everyone else in the household by rebooting my computer and reseting the router (sometimes just one of these actions will work, but it's unpredictable).
So I bought a D-Link DWA-125 USB wireless adapter and installed drivers from Ralink (http://www.ralinktech.com/support.php?s=3) and it pretty much solves the issue.
I don't know what further proof Apple needs that this is a problem with the Air and not the internet/router/etc. It's rather comical that I have to use an ugly old USB adapter to get a brand new Macbook Air to connect to internet in my own home.

I've had my Macbook for 2 yrs and the wifi basically never worked - only when I'm right next to the router, at school, or of course the Apple Store. I tried to get apple to fix it under AppleCare, but since it was working perfectly in the store, they said there was nothing they could do.
If your Mac works well at school, or the Apple Store but not at home, the problem definetly  is not the Mac and therefore there is no need to buy a external usb wifi device.
You better will fix the settings of your home router and after that your Mac will be fast and smooth on your home wifi.
I've had only on very rare situations a problem with d-link routers over the years and think (if not damaged) even your d-link will work pretty good with your Mac.
Would you be so kind and explain the settings of your home router and what model it is?

  • Thinkpad T510 Windows 7 No wireless adapter found & device manager network adapters exclamations

    Lenovo owners,
I was wondering if you could help.
I’m having issues with my laptop(Lenovo thinkpad T510) all of a sudden and cannot pinpoint a solution and it seems my laptop is getting progressively slower.
One day upon startup I could not obtain a network connection either wirelessly or even while connected. (I’ve never had a problem & even earlier that day , and even turned it on later that evening and had no problem, and now these issues are back.)  I searched for connections and received a ‘no wireless adapter found’. I checked my device manager and noticed the yellow exclamation point next to all under network connections. When clicking on the driver the message ‘This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device.’
I tried updating the driver under driver tab, but to no avail, or I have the most current.
I’ve searched Lenovo forums stating to uninstall drivers and install but many people still have the same issue.
Does this sound like manufacturer issue or virus type relation?
Now my laptop seems to running slower and slower upon startup and shutdown.
Anyway anybody can help would be appreciated. I’m starting to get backlogged on work.
& Yes, the switch on the side of my laptop is turned on

Free AVG and Malwarebytes yep. Ive performed scans on both and no threats detected.Diagnostics results shown below. States exactly what Device Manager did and once i try to reinstall driver I get the Device status code 31 window(shown on the right). I've tried reinstalling drivers and restarting but no change in status. The only thing that happened since i that happened when i shut down my working laptop and when i turned it on and ran into these issues were Windows Updates upon shutdown. Any chance a wacky update could wreck havoc on all my drivers?

HP uses various brands of wireless adapters in their laptops.Your driver page has Broadcom & Qualcomm Atheros drivers so it is likely you have one or the other. You can try both- or get the hardware id of the wireless adapter. From Device Manager, right click the adapter, choose Properties. In the window that opens click the Details tab. Use the dropdown selector to choose Hardware ID. Use the top line that appears and do a search for that string to find the device name. Or you can post it here.
