D7260 Duplex problem

Hi,
I printed a 12 page document on my D7260 and manually duplexed. The back of pages 8 & 9 were blank.
the back of pg 7 had page 10.
My driver says last configured on 12/08/2008.
Do I need new drivers? If so, where do I find them?
Using Word 2007 on Vista Ultimate 64 bit SP 2
Thanks
Frank GC

Hi Jan,
If you are connecting Router to WAN0_0 port, you should use cross-over cable under most of the circumstances and unless you are using all gig interfaces on both sides. This will avoid any hardware limitations due to non-Auto-MDIX supported hardware.
Cisco strongly recommend that you do not use half-duplex connections on the WAE or on routers, switches, or other devices.
You will find more information here: Cabling
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/app_ntwk_services/waas/wae/module/inline/installation/guide/17880fru.html#wp39911
Further, there is a possibility that the interface on Router / WAE inline adapater / cable might be bad. I would suggest following in that case.
1. Using a new cross-over / stright cable. if the issue continues, proble lies on the interface sides.
2. Using a different port on router. if the issue continues, problem is with WAN0_0 port of WAE.
3. Try connecting wan0_0 port to another switch / router to see if it negotiates at full duplex. If it still continues at half duplex, there is an issue with WAN0_0 port most probably.
4. Try connecting secondary gig port or WAN0_1 port to same router interface. If the issue continues, problem may be with router FA0/0 interface.
If you find that issue is with either router / WAE inline interface, please open a TAC case for RMA.
Hope this helps.
Regards.

  • HP Color LaserJet CM2320fxi MFP - Full Duplex Problem

    Hello!
I've got LaserJet CM232 and Win7 (x64). My problem is that when I'm printing for example 4 pages of a document it's printing only in full duplex, so 2 pages printed on both sides. I can't find where can I fix this duplex problem, I'd like to choose manually if it will be printing in full duplex or not. Help me find a solution, please.
Second problem refers to the time of printing. When I print something I have to wait several minutes to print it. Is that a RAM problem? More RAM memory will resolve this problem?
Thanks a lot for your replies! I'd really appreciate any help!

  • HP OfficeJet 8000 duplex problem.

HP OfficeJet 8000 duplex problem.  Everything after page 7 prints upside down

So all pages after the 7th page have one side correct and the other side flipped?  This sounds like an issue in the print driver for this printer.
Have you tried uninstalling the printer and re-installing to see if the problem is corrected?
As well, you may want to try using an alternate driver, such as the 990c driver, to see if it is a driver conflict issue.  For information on how to use an alternate driver see Shane_R's thread, found here.
Let me know how it goes.

There is a final update available that fixes the duplexing problem. It is posted on this discussion board as HP Leopard Updates Now Available. It is on page 3 and was posted on Dec 21 by HP Mac Architect. It is 2/3 down the page Photosmart D7200 & D7400 Series. The D means it is a final. It fixed my duplex problem. I deleted the previous drivers then installed this one. I hope it works for you.

We have tried crossover and straight through cable, without any look still 100/ half duplex.

  • HP LaserJet 4350n duplex problem - single page

    Hi there,
We have acquired a HP LaserJet 4350n with a duplexer, and printing 2 or more pages works fine.  It prints as expected on both sides.  The problem is if we send a 1 page document to the printer, it prints upside down on the back side first, and then spits out the page.  We use letterhead, so naturally this is a problem.  I could simply put the paper in the opposite way turned upside down, but out print jobs sometimes have 2 pages and other times 1.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
If you require any additional information, please let me know.
    Thanks!

We were never able to fix this behavior.  We have multiple 4350s and they all behave the same way.
Our soulution (while not ideal) is to simply print at least two pages for each job.  Essentially it prints nothing on the back side, then flips it around and prints on the front side.

  • Officejet 7210 all-in-one duplex problem

Since connecting Officejet 7210 to laptop running Vista Business, the 2-sided printing accessory with rear tray is not recognised. I have been using the Deskjet 990C driver for 2-sided printing but it does not recognise the rear tray. Am unable to print photos using the rear tray, & when I try to load the 4x6 photo paper into main tray, the image will only print from the centre position of an A4 page, not the location when the tray is adjusted for the 4x6 (10cm x 15cm) stock. How can I enable the rear tray to feed the photo stock.
Is there an updated driver for the 7210 that supports the duplexer with rear tray or what other workaround can you recommend?
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

Since the duplexer and rear tray were optional on the Officejet 7210 the driver will default to them being "not installed".  Go to the printers folder, right click on the 7210, Properties, Device settings, Installable Options and set the Duplex Unit and the Rear Tray to installed, Apply, OK.
Once this is done the rear tray should be accessible and you can try duplex printing.  You will probably need a patch to correct the back side printing upside down when duplexing, this is available as described here.

  • Duplex problem with InDesign CS3

Hi, printing from CS3 InDesign to a Ricoh Aficio MP C3300 laser printer. Using mac pro with 10.5.8 installed. When I print just 1 copy of a 2pp A4 duplex job it prints fine. If I want to print multiple copies (say 5) it prints the first page on the front and back of the first 2 sheets and then on the front of the 3 sheet, then the second page of the document on the back of sheet 3 and front and back of sheets 4 and 5. Very strange, take the same doc and print from a different mac and it prints fine. So it must be a setting on this particular mac. Not sure where to go with this one, is it a setting in InDesign or with the printer driver?

Look out for a checkbox "sort" in the print dialog an mark it. This shoul solve the problem.

  • Duplex problems in Windows 64 bit

I have two computers one with Windows 7 32 bit and the other with Window 7 64 bit. I use an HP Pro 8500 printer networked to communicate with both computers. I get onto a my financial web site and print my statements. On the Windows 7 32 system when I open the PDF to print I can get to the properties and select Duplex and it works great. On the Windows 7 64 bit system I select my statement to print the PDF but cannot select the properties button to select duplex. I can duplex other types of documents on both 32 bit and 64 bit but not the PDF's.

    hi,
i have the same problem. The only way around it was to print (using pdf) using a xp/2000 machine.

  • 7410 duplex problem

In automatic duplex mode, after printing first side, page feeds back into duplexer, then a "grinding" noise is heard.  Duplex kicks paper out (now with folds) and prints other side from another sheet in tray.  Is this a problem in the duplex unit (does it need a new one) or something mechanical inside the actual printer?  How can either be diagnosed?

Couple of things to check: is the duplexer fully inserted into the printer? If it was all the way in, then take it out, open the top (swivels sorta up) and look inside for bits of paper. Maybe there is something inside it blocking paper.

    Hey @silkylabie,
Thanks for posting in the HP Support Forum.
I understand you're looking to configure duplexing settings on your HP Color LaserJet CP1518ni Printer.  I would like to assist you with this and may have the steps you need to get the job done.
Getting started, I recommend you click here to install the HP Universal Print Driver for Windows PCL5 (64-bit).  When you have finished the install, open your Devices and Printers Folder (you can find this in Control Panel) and do the following:
Right-click on the HP Universal Printing PCL 5 icon
Click on Printing Preferences - this will prompt you to connect with your printer.  You may need to enter your printer's IP address if it's not automatically detected by your PC.
Once the printer's added, click on the 'Finishing' tab
As you can see in the screenshot below, you can click to activate printing on both sides.
Please let me know if you need any further assistance - I'm always happy to help.  If I have resolved your issue feel free to click on the 'Thumbs Up' icon below to give me a virtual high-five.

  • Cisco 837 speed and duplex problem

I have one Cisco 837 connected to Cisco 1900 and Cisco 2924XL. When i set the speed and duplex to 10 full duplex or 100 full duplex i 837 the fastethernet interface is going down. Its working if i set speed and duplex to auto i 837 router. I have 12.4(4)T release on my Cisco 837.

    Hi
AFAIK 1900 doesnt support auto negotiation so better manually hardcode the speed and duplex to 10/half or 10/full on the port which is connecting to 1900 and
100/full to the port which is connecting to 2924 coz it does support 100/full.

  • RAP via Point-to-Point duplex problem

    Hello,
Here is the set up. I am using a Proxim point-to-point link to connect a RAP to the network. The Proxim base unit is connected directly to the Cisco switch. The Cisco 1522 is connected to the LAN port of the Proxim remote unit's POE injector. I couldn't get the ethernet port up on the 1522 until I fixed the Proxim's ethernet port to 100/full.
The Proxim link is stable but I am getting interuptions in the connection of the 1522 to the network. After further investigation, I see the Gigabit ethernet port of the 1522 is operating at 100/half. (Makes sense because it's port is set to auto while the Proxim is fixed on 100/full). However if I set the Proxim port to auto the ethernet port goes down completely.
Here are the messages I am getting from the 1522:
Dec 28 15:09:05.215: %CDP-4-DUPLEX_MISMATCH: duplex mismatch discovered on GigabitEthernet0 (not full duplex), with sw1 FastEthernet2/0/5 (full duplex).
This shows a mismatch between the 1522 and the switch.
My guess is that the 1522 and the Proxim unit cannot auto-negotiate speed/duplex.
Should I disable CDP on the 1522?
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi,
That's the way ethernet work in half duplex. You cannot transmit or receive at the same time. If two machines try to send at the same time collision occurs and all machine back off for some time before sending the frames again.
Please go to google and find out the ethernet operation links.

  • Officejet Pro 8600 Plus Duplexing Problem

When I print a document that is one sided the printer stops and lets the ink dry and pulls it back in as if it were a double sided document. Is this normal for this printer. This is my first HP printer and it didn't do this on other printers that I had. The other printers sensed weather it was a single or double sided document and printed according to the document. Any help please.

    Hello soundfx411,
    Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you are having an issue with the paper being drawn back into the printer as if it was double sided print job.
This could be cause by a few different reasons.  First off, please make sure that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a power bar/strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer as an example but it is meant for HP products in general. Please click on the following link that explains the Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector.
Just so you know, HP products already have built in surge protector and if you have it connected to a power bar/strip, the unit will not get all the power it needs to function properly and this could cause other issues that you may not see on the surface such as Ink system failures or skewed or crooked printing or ever scan/copy issues.
So I can better assist you, please respond with which Operating System you are running.
Which Windows Operating System am I running?
