DAC-Changing the $$ANALYSIS_START ownership

All,
We are trying to copy and change the $$ANALYSIS_START date in DAC. We are in the Source System Parameters and are in our custom Container. We select the Name and copy Record, but it does not change the ownership. How do you change the ownership so that the date can be used in our extract.
We are changing the date so that we extract less data in the ETL.

Hi,
Once you have created a copy of the source system container you can just go to the Source System Parameters and change the value, once you have done that when you save you get a mesaage that says "You are trying to modify an object referenced from <owner>. If you save it, a new copy will be created for <new ssc>. Are you sure you want to proceed." If you click Yes then a copy will be made for your new SSC, all done. This parameter will then be used for any tables in a subject area from your new SSC being loaded in an execution plan.

Matt

  • How to change the clusterware ownership?

Our initial 10g Clusterware install is currently owned by root. As we upgrade to 11g, I would like to change the ownership. The 11g cluster install guide states that ownership cannot be changed during the install, and I cannot find anything in the 10g documentation about changing the ownership. How does one change the clusterware ownership in a 10g installation?

Thanks. As to "why" I want to change the ownership, it is more of a matter of principle. Keep in mind that my cluster experience is rather low, but it seems problematic for a DBA to have so many root responsibilities in an organization (ie, ours) where those responsibilities are clearly delineated in two different groups. What I also found confusing is that the installation guides make reference to a "crs_user", but I was not able to find much supporting documentation for such a user. Is that the preferred way to go, or is that more of a band aid in the lines of a concession?

  • How can I change the ownership of a report in BW?

I am trying to create a role and save a query in it but the query belongs to someone else. When I try to save the query in the folder, I cannot, but when she tries, it works fine. Does it have anything to do with the ownership since she was the one who originally wrote the query?
    Points will be assigned. Thanks!

    Hi MD,
The easiest thing is to make a copy of that query, so that you have similar query on your name. Then delete the first query.
         OR
There is a table which gives you information about the queries in BW called RSZCOMPDIR. I dont think it is advisable, but you can change the owner of the query here. Check if you have to make the changes in any more places.
    Hope this helps...

Please help me how to do it ?

To prepare a computer for sale or donation, in addition to the steps mentioned in this support article, take these steps:
If you set a firmware password, remove it by running Firmware Password Utility in Recovery mode.
If you activated FileVault in OS X 10.7 or later, turn it off.
If you use Boot Camp, the partition must be deleted
If you created any other data partitions on the internal drive, remove them in Disk Utility.
Erase the data partition(s) with the option to zero out data. An SSD doesn't need to be zeroed.
You can't legally or practically transfer any software downloaded from the Mac App Store to the new owner of the machine, even if it was free. That includes OS X, so if you paid for an upgrade OS X 10.7 or later, you must reinstall  the original OS, either from the installation media, if applicable, or by booting into Internet Recovery (option-command-R at the startup chime.)
The new owner will have to repurchase the software, if need be, under his or her Apple ID. If you ever updated the bundled iLife applications (Garage Band, iMovie, and iPhoto) through the App Store, you can't transfer them either.
Remove the machine from your list of registered products. If it's still covered by an AppleCare Protection Plan, transfer the coverage to the new owner by following the instructions in the AppleCare Terms and Conditions (under the heading "Transfer of Plan.")

  • Can't mount external Hard drive and Can't change the ownership and permiss.

Hello everyone, got a problem and maybe someone here will know. Apple care can't help because this is due to an external piece. I have a hard drive external. I partitioned it into two hard drives. Long ago, I opened the information window for one of my partitioned drives. And changed the ownership and permission to "no access". I do this all the time to keep my files from being read if its not the administrator (me). Just recently I plugged in my hard drive (firewire and USB). Only one drive mounts on the desk top. I cannot see my other partitioned hard drive and I can' access it to change the ownership and permission with "apple key and I".. I can see a trace of the two partitioned hard drives when I use disc utility. But again it won't let me change the ownership so I can mount this again. How do I access my harddrive without refomatting? I have tried to mount this with both of my apple laptops..no luck yet. Please help, anyone.

Hi, Donnie. Welcome to the Discussions.
What part of "No Access" was unclear?
"No Access" means no access for anyone.
    To fix this:
    1. Launch Terminal, which resides in the Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities folder.
    2. At the Terminal prompt, type the following command:
    sudo chmod a+rwx "/Volumes/partition_name"
where: partition_name is the name of the affected partition.
    3. Press Return.
    4. Type your Admin password when prompted, then press Return.
    5. At the Terminal prompt, type exit and press Return.
    6. Quit (Command-Q) Terminal.
    7. Relaunch Finder: Press and hold the Option key, click and hold mouse button 1 on the Finder icon in the Dock, select "Relaunch" from the Finder icon's contextual menu.
You should then see the volume, or be able to use Disk Utility to Unmount it, then Mount it and see it.
Reset the permissions for Group and Other on the partition as desired. Do not change the permissions for Owner.
If you want a volume / partition unmounted at startup, see:

    Good luck!

  • Cloned Dac, Informatica and OBIEE want to change the ip and hostname

    Hi Gurus,
I recently cloned my OBIEE env on virtual machines on OEL ( Linux)
I want to change the hostname and ip address to make the services up with new IP and hostname.
I started the Database(11gR2) single instnace successfully. Please let me know what all changes need to be done to start the dac(10.1.3.4), informatica(9.0.1 Hotfix 2) server and also OBIEE(11.1.1.7.1)
I did run ./startServerprompt.sh for DAC but still the service cannot be started.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards

    Hi kt1,
Informatica and DAC is also on Linux servers. As a first step I'm trying to start the services on  DAC and Informatica servers but still no luck.
When I'm Trying to start it gives me the following error in the log
    For Informatica:
Domain service init method is called
java.net.UnlnownHostException: santa.pti.local (which is the  wrong hostname)
it should be picking up the new hostname panta.pti.local
but I don't know where exactly is this information stored and how to get over it.
The same case is with DAC server when I try to start it it's picking up the wrong hostname
Anybody who can help me get through this. I have go ogled  it but so far I couldn't solve it.
Appreciate if anyone could help me solve this.

  • Possible to change the DAC in iPod Classic?

I have a 160GB iPod Classic filled with around 300 cds in lossless format. The size of the hard drive and ipod interface are great but the sound quality leaves a lot to be desired. I use Sure SE530 and Etymotic ER4P earphones, which sound amazing through the headphone amp in my regular Hi-Fi so I know it's not them. I have read that the Cirrus DAC is very likely the weakest link in this generation. Is there any way to change it out with a higher quality DAC Chip?

Apple could pretty much own the digital audio segment if they made a commitment to audio quality. If they were to make lossless files available on itunes, and built high quality dacs into their ipod and computers, they would put the CD player, transport and music distributors industries out of business. Until they find religion, we will have to fend for ourselves. Your question is really important, for if you are going to the trouble and expense (hard drive capacity use) of storing lossless files, you are also interested in the quality of the sound that comes out of your machine. Well, the solution is difficult. Most commercially available ipod docks are not line level and fewer still are digital out. If you can adjust the volume on your ipod after it is docked, then you are basically listening to the output that you would hear from your headphone jack. The reason the headphone jack sounds so bad is that is uses the internal dac of the ipod, and due to the limitations of headphones and earbuds, the headphone out bass is also attenuated. Therefore, it is important to find a dock that will use the digital source prior to the dac from your ipod. There are a few out there. Wadia makes a very expensive truely digital dock, and then you have to hook it up to your own dac with its digital out. Also, Red Wine Audio will mod a 3rd generation Ipod and upgrade the dac. Unfortunately, these solutions are so clumsy and expensive that you're better off using a Macbook or MacMini, with lossless files, and a USB dac to your audio system rcas. Someone needs to invent a compact digital dock with an integrated dac to make the ipod practical as an audiophile source. Their material doesn't get specific, so I can't figure out if the SRS iWow for the ipod is a dac, or an equilazer, but I suspect it does not bypass the ipod's dac. I'll have to call them in order to pin them down. If it simply acts as a preset equalizer, it is not much of a product. It will not add detail back to the music, nor will it be able to process the digital data in a refined manner, when compared to a quality external dac. In the meanwhile, any mac or pc can be converted into a digital source better than cd players selling for many thousands of dollars. I have one mac mini hooked up to a tube dac (and to tube monoblock amps), and another mini hooked up to an external dac and a tube buffer (and to a single ended tube amp). My next project is to figure out how to wirelessly stream my music files from my main mini, to the other one or my macbook, and to use mac tv to backup my main computers' files. I was told tonight that I can change the settings on my Airpot Extreme to do this, and I can add the mac tv later to back everything up. Other than that, all you can do is pray that Mac introduces an ipod for audiophiles. Then you can just put docks by each computer you use, wherever it is in the world, and have a first class digital source. I use dac and a USB chord with each of the other systems in my house and just plug the macbook into whichever system I want to listen to at a given time. Good luck.

  • Changing the physical datasource in DAC is not taking.

    Hi all,
I have a test DAC environment that is currently pointing to the production EBS OLTP. I am trying to change the physical data source to point to the test EBS OLTP. But it is still pulling in production data. I've changed the Physical Data Source settings in DAC and double checked them. When I save my changes they appear to work, but when I run the DAC execution plan it is still showing production data.
In a separate instance of the DAC, we had the same problem. We had a consultant here a few months ago that told us we had a duplicate row in a table. He got rid of the row, and it worked fine after that. The first DAC environment is a copy of the second DAC environment created before the consultant did his thing... so I'm guessing I have the same problem.
But I don't know what table he deleted the row from. Can anyone point me to the right table(s) where the Physical Data Source is stored?
    B

We found the answer. Within Informatica Workflow manager, there are settings under Connections for the ORA_12 database - input from EBS. You have to change both the DAC and the Informatica Workflow Manager to point to the same database for the change to take effect.

  • Mass change the ownership of the documents ! Thoughts?

    Fellas,
I am looking for some information on how mass change of ownership can happen to following documents in Sourcing:
    RFx
    MA
Ex: Buyer A is the owner of the documents and he/she is no more with the organization. We would like to mass change the ownership of these documents.
    My thoughts:
    1. Create a report to pull the documents
    2. Script to update the owner
    3. Schedule a job, so the script can run and update all the documents.
    Thanks
    Gummadi

    Hi Gummadi,
We had same requirement , change  the ownership of Master Agreements.
    1. Create a report to pull the list  for Agreements to be changed with below columns:
    DISPLAY_NAME , CALC_METHOD, UNIQUE_DOC_NAME, DOC_TYPE,
    STATUS, CURRENCY, VENDOR, CONTACT, LOCATION,
    2.  Create workbook for Master Agreements, above fields are mandatory  for any Mass Change on MA's.
add DOC_OWNER_USER column to the work book
    3. Import this work book to CLM/E-Souring.
    Hope  this will help you.
    Thanks

  • I've bought an used macbook pro and want to change the ownership!

Basically i've purchased on ebay a pre-owned macbook pro that hasn't come with the original OS discs and I don't know how to change the ownership!
I've only have the ebay articule of the auction that I won and my credit card resume where I paid for the item that proofs my ownership on the macbook but nothing else!!
I just want to state somehow legally that this macbook is now mine in case i need apple care assistance or anything else (legal matters).
thanks on advance to the whole community!

pre-owned macbook pro that hasn't come with the original OS discs
Which OS was originally pre-installed?  You need this information, in order to receive the proper instructions on how to wipe it clean.
Macs that came with the OS'es 10.6.8 & earlier are not suppose to be sold w/o the DVDs that originally came w/them per Apple's license agreement.  If this is the case w/you, then you purchased a glorified door stop.  The system DVDs have troubleshooting tools on them and they are machine specific.
You can get replacement System Install & Restore CD/DVDs from Apple's Customer Support - in the US, (800) 767-2775 - for a nominal S&H fee. You'll need to have the model and/or serial number of your Mac available.
If you're not in the US, you may need to go through the regional Apple Store that serves your location to find the contact number. Here's a list of links to all of those - http://store.apple.com/Catalog/US/Images/intlstoreroutingpage.html  Another resource:  International Support Phone #s.

  • Accidently changed the "ownership & permissions" access admin setting to "read only"

In the "Get Info" window on my MacBook hard drive icon, I accidently changed the "ownership & permissions" access admin setting to "read only" & now it won't re-boot the operating system. Just displays the Apple logo & running wheel on a white screen . Any advice on how best to re-set/restore would be very much appreciated, thanks

This might help. Otherwise, it might be necessary to reinstall.

  • Can't change the ownership of a drive after I mount it

Ok so I recently installed Arch on the laptop given to me by my college and it originally came as one hard drive partitioned into two. One was for the operating system which is Windows 7 and data and the other was for storage. I took space from the storage and made another partition for Arch. Nevertheless, I was able to mount the partition with Windows 7 on it but when I mounted the second partition this message came up and tried to change the ownership of it:
mount: warning: /media/Ddrive/ seems to be mounted read-only.
chown: changing ownership of `/media/Ddrive/': Read-only file system
I also tried to mount it with mount -o rw but that didn't help either. Any information will be appreciated.

From the sounds of things if that 2nd partition is ntfs you may need to install the ntfs-3g driver the in kernel ntfs driver tends to only allow read-only mounting.
More info about it can be found here

  • How to Change the Change Capture and Sync Process in DAC 7.9

    Hi,
I would like to change the scripts that is involved in the change capture process , particularly the ones that has the siebel asset tables and organization tables.
I am not able to see any editor to change the scripts that involves in building the image R and I tables. Please guide me through this,.
    Regards,
    Madasamy

That is not suggestable to changing for OOB tables, if you want to go with your own process then create a new task and apply your changes
If you want you can go with ebs kind of process which follows last refresh date with LAST_UPD
instead of the below Siebel process
    For Full
    INSERT INTO S_ETL_R_IMG_6
         (ROW_ID, MODIFICATION_NUM, LAST_UPD)
         SELECT
              ROW_ID
              ,MODIFICATION_NUM
              ,LAST_UPD
         FROM
              S_ASSET
         WHERE
              LAST_UPD > CONVERT(CHAR, '2012-10-07 13:02:09', 120)
    For Incr
    INSERT INTO S_ETL_R_IMG_6
         (ROW_ID, MODIFICATION_NUM, LAST_UPD)
         SELECT
              ROW_ID
              ,MODIFICATION_NUM
              ,LAST_UPD
         FROM
              S_ETL_I_IMG_6
    DELETE FROM S_ETL_R_IMG_6 WHERE LAST_UPD < CONVERT(CHAR, '2012-10-07 13:02:26', 120)

    Repair iTunes Security Permissions
Right-click on your main iTunes folder and click Properties, then go to the Security tab and click Advanced. Use the Change Permissions... button grant to your account (or the Users group) and SYSTEM full control of this folder, subfolders and files, then tick the option to Replace permissions entries... which will repair permissions throughout the library. When complete switch to the General tab, click in the Read-only check box to clear it, then click Apply.
If you don't have the option to change the permissions then use the Owner tab and Edit... button to take ownership from an account with administrator privileges. Tick the option to Replace owner on subcontainers and objects.
Repeat with the media folder if it isn't stored inside the main iTunes folder.
